BIOGRAPHY

Born from a happy family composed by a popular singer on a few different systems and a former army pilot, he earned his name because of his huge curiosity when he was just a hatchling. He had the tendency to wander around the house, poking in all nooks and crannies to search for any sort of things, something his parents honestly found amusing and adorable.
Of course, his curiosity kept going as he grew up, also waking in him an interest for piloting and mechanics, just like his father, who begun giving him piloting lessons on the old TIE fighter he owned. Despite the association of that line of fighters with the Empire, both had a deep interest in them due to its great maneuverabilty and speed, better than some of the Rebel ships of the time.
After doing most of his schooling on Crytal Nest, he decided to enroll in the Republic of the Free Worlds' military academy to train as a pilot, graduating from it with the highest marks, and then entering in the prestigious Anaxes War College for officer training. There he studied the whole ship classification system by heart, using songs that helped him with remembering the large amount of ships and classifications, and also studied to become a flight instructor for essentially all kinds of ships, from the smallest starfighter all the way up to the mightiest of battleships. All that training took him roughly 8 years to complete.
When he graduated, at the age of 28, he could have potentially become a high-ranking officer in the Republican navy, but after some thought, he opted to offer his services to the Sector Rangers, wishing to help them with training their fleet's pilots with both simulations and on-field exercises, alongside also training astrogators thanks to his species' natural talent for it.

Personality

Cobalt is a cheery, often happy, very friendly and patient person, eager to dispense his knowledge on starships, piloting and so forth. Despite the language barrier given by the fact that his species is unable to talk Basic, he's very friendly with anyone, regardless of the species, a feature rather unusual for a Shashay, since they're usually rather introverted and at times even xenophobic. While working as a flight instructor, he's patient and kind, doing his best to make sure the recruit understands his instructions. When needed, he can be strict, of course.

Skills

His knowledge of starships, piloting and astrogation are his best skills, alongside being an excellent mechanic, having enough knowledge to fix essentially any kind of existing ship. He still has links to the Anaxes War College, keeping himself updated on new types of ships, modifications, weaponry and so forth.
