DESCRIPTION
The T-90 X-Wing starfighter was the successor to the T-85 X-Wing starfighter, manufactured by Incom-FreiTek for use in planetary defense in conjunction with the Free Worlds Alliance.

Pricier than its predecessor, the T-90 X-Wing has fulfilled the role that the T-85 was meant to. Almost all of its armory is a considerable upgrade to models such as the T-70. A jack-of-all-trades, the T-90 was a welcome addition to almost all space combat operations, with its modest 125 MGLT top speed now providing stellar pilots with the ability to give faster interceptor starfighters more of a run for their money. The design was a sleek callback to the legendary T-65 model, with considerable upgrades to the missile package and laser cannons. The ship was equipped with an excellent class 1 hyperdrive, however, like almost all X-Wing series starfighters, the ship lacked a navicomputer, and relied on the onboard astromech to provide jump calculations. Additional systems include deflector shields and sensors.

After all but one T-85 X-Wing survived the war against the First Order – with the disastrous atomization of the Hosnian system in 34 ABY destroying the New Republic's defense fleet – the Resistance was forced to rely on older models such as the T-70 X-Wing and even earlier T-65 models of Rebellion fame. This also carried into the open market after the Final Order's defeat at Exegol; with all the T-85s unavailable, mercenary and private citizens, if any, were to use the T-70 and older models. This all changed when in 83 ABY, after a long period of hiatus following post-war recovery efforts, Incom-FreiTek – working together with a healing New Republic in the form of the Free Worlds Alliance – announced that a new model of X-wing was in development. The first fleet of T-90s was piloted for planetary defense assignments in 96 ABY, with the model hitting the open market in 108 ABY. Since then, it has proven itself as the new standard for versatile starfighters.
