Co-operative Missions

Asides from the battle threads, and the Dark Jedi reveal ones, there really haven't been that many missions where characters from multiple factions can be involved in a thread that affects the story of the entire timeline.

So I was thinking, assorted faction leaders, that a thread where we can work out some ideas that are acceptable to all of us would be a pretty good idea. I know that there's a good number of S13 agents that haven't really done anything recently, as well as various military types.

My inclination is towards something big, and perhaps military related, so a decent number of people can be involved in a relatively high impact story, but at the same time, I'm leaning away from a true battle, where a lot of the input rests largely with a single figure.

By way of example, I discussed with Sin the idea of doing a mission involving sabotaging a Hutt shipyard or somesuch, primarily with S13 and Jedi characters. The thread kinda petered out, but it's the perfect example of what I'm after; involving a number of factions and actually affecting the storyline.

So, any thoughts or ideas? Suggestions/open ridicule for the idea? What do you lot reckon?

I'd be more than up for a thread where some republic types might come into a hutt/bogan alliance treaty talk. It would involve S13 as well as hutts and some of my guys, if the S13 agent(s) were to make it out they could even get a call out for jedi and republic aid perhaps. Though this would probably best be done over several threads perhaps?

I think that would be a really good idea, it could lend some real impetus to the whole story, and definitely help propel some individual towards more activity. Multiple threads would probably help too, but we should aim to keep it as self-contained as possible, because, personally, I find it difficult to keep a grip on more than a couple of threads at once, particularly if they're highly populated. And it's easier to keep a smaller number of threads under control/on track.

But yeah, I think the plan has some real promise! :D

That would be fine, I'd like to see if Constantine would be up for it. When I said multiple threads I meant more than one thread, but done one at a time. Like you said, easier to keep track of, I've got like 4 training threads, 1 mission thread and a couple other things floating around right now lol so I'd like to finish at least a few of those first. However, the mission thread that I'm in could tie in nicely if we were able to recover more than just information on the jedi, say last known wherabouts of a hutt council member or something?

Yeah, I think ti would be really good if the Hutts were involved. Really good, and slightly crucial...

I think these are great ideas and I'd like to see them implemented ASAP. I don't want too much time to pass between major faction stuff or else people will lose interest again.

Sorry I missed this thread guys, I quickly read through what you guys have so far and the two ideas that were brought up do sound rather cool and are chocked full of potential.

I'm leaning towards Sheo's idea about the Bogan/Hutt treaty talk, perhaps it could be pertaining to the Bogan seeking passage through Hutt space in order to infiltrate/attack something.

So essentially there would be one or two reperesentatives from the Hutt Grand Council accompanied by escorts or something along those lines. S13 could attempt to infiltrate the talks and then signal the republic/jedi and thus a military thread could take place.

The treaty would be in one thread and then the roleplay could transfer to a military thread.

I'm unaware if the other main roleplay thread that previously involved Storm has been finished or not, I haven't heared back from Vigz.

That would work really well, because if the hutts saw what a powerful ally the bogan would make first hand, it'd be set in stone and what not.

Edit: Also Bac I'm not being creepy I'm just doing what the government pays me to do, which is spy on this site for potential terrorists. Zod being the terrorist leader from crypton, of course I knew to mention him to bring out the rest of his followers. YOU! and NEXUS!

Well even if they're not I'd still like to set up a meeting as my Bogan alone can't really do much should the republic decide that the attack on the jedi was an attack on the republic as well. If you want we could start the thread and S13 guys could come in later? The posting speed would allow for that, no?

Well I'm not sure who could go in as a representitive as I don't plan on bringing Malgarr and my NPC characters aren't ready yet because they're on my main computer.
