*Conrad did not see any signs of Barnabas, and decided to set up a decoy. By finding a stick, he propped up his rifle and left it there, out in the near open where it was still shielded by rocks. Although it did not move, it wouldn't really matter, since Barnabas could not tell if it was moving or not from such a far distance. Then, he started to army crawl to another rocky shielded area where he then took out his blaster pistol and used his infared vision to look for bodies and, if Barnabas was to shoot at the decoy, then he could pinpoint where the shot came from.*

Barnabas could not see where Conrad was, or if he had moved from his last position. Barnabas was just about to go back into cover when he saw Conrad's rifle protrude from the rock face only about 15 feet above and to the right of him.

Barnabas froze for a second. He knew that to make a noise now would invite disaster. He slowly crawled up the 10 feet to the top of the cliff while still inside the crevice that he was using for cover.
He stopped right before he would have crested the top. He then took out his pocket mirror that he used o look around corners with and used it to see over the top of the cliff.
What Barnabas saw made him quickly withdraw the mirror. Conrad's gun was exactly where Barnabas had last seen it. Unfortunately, Conrad was nowhere near it. Barnabas slowly put the mirror back up, scanning the area around his position. Disturbed sand and dirt lead away from the rifle, and also in the opposite direction of Barnabas.
Barnabas pulled his upper torso above the cliff, though he kept near the ground, and took the clip from Conrad's gun, replacing it with an empty one.

After having done that, Barnabas vaulted over the cliff, rolling away from the rifle and the trail in the sand at teh same time. Stopping behind a rock, Barnabas unslung his rifle and scanned the trail that was most likely made by Conrad.

*Conrad saw Barnabas take the decoy once he had found a heat signature moving in his view. Funny thing was, he decided not to shoot even though it was the perfect time to. Ordo was only a trainer, not an opponent to kill him. However, Barnabas made the mistake that once he was done taking out the mag., he rolled off to lower ground. Now that Conrad had the high ground, he moved back to his rifle and put in a new magazine, used his scope to find the area that Barnabas was near, and started to shoot randomly around the area, hoping to draw him out.*

"Oh well, it was worth a shot." Barnabas said as a shots ringed out behind him. He had hoped Conrad had not seen him, but it looked like he had. It was nice now though, Barnabas now knew where Conrad was, and he was very close.
Barnabas was only just on the other side of the rock that Conrad's rifle was on. Conrad was shooting where Barnabas would have been if he had kept moving down hill. Yes, the shots were close, but they were angle way of to even pose a threat to Barnabas.
Barnabas found a good sized rock, and threw it over the his cover. Before the rock was totally out of his hand, he spun around the rock on the opposite side that all the shots from Conrad were, with his rifle at the ready.
The rock would appear in Conrad's vision a millisecond before Barnabas himself would. Conrad, being a person trained to take in all aspects of a battle, would focus on the rock a mer fraction of a second, but that was enough for Barnabas to get a few shots of before Conrad could react to him.
As Barnabas came around the rock, he saw Conrad seven feet away from him. He then let loose with several bursts of fire, all aimed at Conrad, though slightly dispersed, as if his rifle were a spread shot gun.

*Conrad kept shooting, and then somehow a rock got into his vision. Reflexes instantly kicked in as he let go of the rifle to move off to the left and then Barnabas got his perfect shot. The boy was learning, there was no doubt in that. However, there was one more trick up his sleeve, and that was his jet back. Most people would just pray for their lives as of now, but Conrad was different. It was the fittest to survive, and no way in hell would he ever let Barnabas get the better of him. His jet pack instantly rocketed off flares of fire as he shot straight across Barnabas from the side, but he still got hit from the shots. His right leg had taken a blaster bolt right nextto his calf, and that hurt. Conrad still managed to squeeze off some shots at Barnabas when he turned over and used his amazing quickdraw skills to shoot the bloody bastard. They weren't exactly on target, but they were in the vicinity of Barnabas.*

Barnabas was amazed by the sheer speed of Conrad's reaction. He hadn't expected to catch Conrad of guard by the rock, but any normal person would take a full second and a half to process that a rock was coming toward their head and they had to dodge. Where as Conrad had dodged and was hitting his Jet pack ignition in a fourth of one second.

Barnabas was slightly rewarded, he saw one of his shots connect with Conrad's leg, but it was short lived. As he was aiming to shoot at Conrad, taking into account for his new velocity, Conrad quick-drawed his pistol and sent several blaster bolts at Barnabas just as he shot two bursts of of his own at Conrad.

Barnabas saw that none were much of a threat, but he still had to move slightly out of the way for one shot. This threw the second burst of fire slightly off, and they would pass slightly ahead of Conrad, unless he spread up, but the first burst was aimed correctly and was quickly approaching Conrad.
Barnabas then broke into a run after Conrad, determined not to lose sight of him again.

*One shot overhead, and one shot under him. This could only be avoided by a change of direction. Sticking his strong left hand into the ground, he changed his direction by going left, with the cost of his arm hurting a hell of a lot because of the impact and pressure he was undertaking, but his leg still hurt more. With pain on his mind, Conrad deepened his concentration as he quickdrawed with his right hand and let loose 3 bursts of fire that were precisely aimed at Barnabas. Thank God for a hair trigger and a Mandalorian Ripper. He didn't understand why Barnabas didn't keep shooting, but oh well. Better for him.*

Barnabas saw Conrad use his arm to turn quickly to the left. Barnabas was sure to note this because the high speed impact on Conrad's arm would bruise it, a weakness to be exploited if Barnabas ever managed to get into close combat with Conrad again.

Suddenly Conrad let loose a volley of fire in his direction. Once again, Conrad never willingly gave Barnabas a second of respite. Barnabas did a barrow roll to the left, following Conrad's course, and narrowly dodging the bolts.

Barnabas got back up and ran parallel to Conrad, letting his rifle fire repeated bursts at Conrad. He was not holding the trigger in however, that would reduce accuracy and waste valuable ammo, instead Barnabas waited a fraction of a second in between each pull of the trigger, keeping his shots at maximum effectiveness.

*Conrad was starting to like the guy. Smart, kept using what he needed to an effective means, and he had a pretty good accuracy rate. However, dodging bullets wasn't his thing. Barnabas's shots were well placed, but the time spread was too far apart. While he was dodging the bullets, he quickly found a way to get back at Barnabas as he started to shoot after Barnabas's volley. However, he kept pulling off precise shots until he used his left hand to pick up his other Mandalorian Ripper and start shooting with that. Although it hurt like hell to do it, it would keep Conrad focused to get this thing over with and go get some medical treatment for his arm.*

Barnabas knew that the end of the fight was near. He had several blaster shot bruises across his body and his left leg would most likely break at any moment.
He knew however that Conrad's condition wasn't much better than Barnebas's own.

Suddenly Conrad stopped moving and fired his blaster at Barnabas. Then an instant later he drew his other and fired that at Barnabas as well. There was only ten feet in between the two, with open ground around around them.
Barnabas quickly thought of his options and knew he could only do the most stupid one.
Dodging to the left or the right would not work because there were so many blaster bolts that Barnabas could not dodge them all before he got to cover, which was twenty feet back the way they had ran from, plus the strain of dodging the bolts would probably finish of whatever integrity his femur had left.

So Barnabas did a barrow roll right at Conrad. This saved him from most of the shots, but he still felt lancing pain on his back. Then Barnabas came up into a crouch directly in front of Conrad, sweeping his right leg in front of himself, the force of the connection of mandalorian armor on armor would sent a tremor though Barnabas, which would break his leg, but the attack would put Conrad on the ground, and Barnabas would be able to force his surrender since he still had four knives easy at hand.

ooc: sorry i didn't post in like a week dude. forgot about the thread. and i can't post till monday 7-16

*Conrad didn't see the sudden rush coming...and yet that surprised him. He noticed a slight limp on his sprint forward...and that was his left leg. Conrad dropped his gun and his body lurched to his right as he dropped to the floor from contact with Barnabas's leg. He wasn't exactly on his toes, and his balance was thrown off. Very good for the boy to know that he should use what was least expected, but that was Conrad was going to do as well.

Keeping both feet on Barnabas's left leg, he landed on his hands in some sort of push up position, and slammed his knees on the ground, along with whatever was connected to it. Then, he dropped to his side. From there he just grabbed at Barnabas's arm, which was in reach, and twisted it for more pain.*
