Barnabas walked into the ring facing his new tutor, weopens arrayed for battle. He would not normally bring all of his gear to training, but after having fought Mandalore on his first day of training he sorrowfully missed his vibroblade. Now he felt confident that he could take this training, but he was curious to see what kind of a trainer Lt. Commander Conrad was.
"Recruit Barnabas reporting for training Sir." Barnabas said, snapping to attention.

*Conrad looked at the boy...too young for his liking, but he would have to be turned into a battle-hardened warrior some day.*

*Conrad suspected this recruit had a heart of gold for fighting, and probably a lust for it as well. Only problem about fighting warriors was that they would be the ones to kill both their enemies and friends, and couldn't control their lust to spill blood. Hopefully, he could shape this one to be better than the rest.*

"Sir, The Glorious Mandalorian Army is the strongest Army of them all. We have fought severl campaigns against the Republic, fought the cursed Jedi, and..., c o o p e r a t e d with the Sith. Now we are working to increase our fighting numbers and to further our Army.
As for weopons sir, they are tools that are used to protect those you care for and to bring about changes when nessasary. I have been trained in medium range fighting with my Rac-30 burst rifle and I have been trained in close range combat with my knives and vibroblade.

It is an object for killing, and it will be used one way or another. The Mandalorians are the representation of strength, honor, and death. We use these weapons for each one of these symbols of which we represent. Understand rookie?"

"Yes..., Sir." Barnabas was now interested in his teacher. He had been taught that slogan of the Mandalorians in the past at the recruit academy, but had not thought about it too much. Barnabas believed in what had been said by both of them. That weopons were just weopons, something to use to protect, but only to kill when nessasary.

"Very well Sir." Barnabas replied smoothly, *Time to get some work done* he said to him self.
Barnabas unslung his rifle with one hand and rested the other on the hilt of his own vibroblade. He then did several actions in the blink of an eye. He then ran forward, squeezing two bursts of his rifle off, the first directly at Conrad, the second in a spread motion to limit mobility, then he droped his rifle behind him. Then, just as quictly he drew his vibroblade, ignited it, and followed the lazer bolts toward Conrad, readying a dance of the snakes strike.

*Speed and time was of the essence as his hawk eyes gazed into the distance as he did a roll off to the side immediately as if undergoing war, as he sprung onto his toes, blade still within his almighty grasp as he let out a blood-curling war cry to scare the rookie. What he had just done was avoided the blaster bolts, but not the rookie. As Barnabas moved forward with lightning speed, Conrad waited until the last moment to strike directly forward with his blade within his right hand. If all went well, then Barnabas would either stop in his tracks to deflect setting up for the sweep kick, or just run into the blade...which wasn't the smartest idea.*

Barnabas reacted quickly. The War cry was a little over the top for training, but what the heck he told himself, "Bou-Yah!" he yelled in response.
Barnabas saw the blade coming in from the left and used his now free left had to draw and ignite his vibrodagger. He spun and with his dagger he parried the thrust and slashed at Corad with his blade.

*Conrad saw another blade come into action as he went with the momentum of his arm from the parry of his own blade as he bent low to the ground and stiffened his leg for a hard sweep kick. As he became one with the ground, he barely missed Barnabas's attack with his other blade. The recruit did have a knack with knives...that was for sure.*

Barnabas was once again taught that he was nomatch for Mandalorian officers. He had thought that he might nic Conrad with his blade, but was a hair thin. It reminded hm of the time he had barely managed to hit Mandalore while training, though Mandalore may have let himself be hit, since the kick had broken Barnabas's leg. Barnabas saw that Conrad was bracing for an attack of some sort, so he used the stone cross defensive stance, crossing his dagger and blade in front of himself and bracing himself for the attack to come.

*Conrad's leg was fully extended as he tripped Barnabas forward and sprung off his other leg as his arm was once again extended to shove his knife into Barnabas's armor and possibly do some damage. This recruit was alright for now, but soon he would have to learn how to read attacks and find the underlying weaknesses that everyone had.*

Barnabas saw that the knife coming and measured the distance and time quickly. He also sheathed his vibroblade, knowing he'd need a hand for this. As he sheathed his blade, he side stepped the knife thrust, but let his fore arm brush against the knifes' edge to help him anticipate when to carry out the second part of his plan. Luckily, the knife was going forward, not sideways, so it only cut through the armor far enough to draw a thin line of blood.
Barnabas then grabbed onto Conrad's forearm and using his own momentum against him, spun him around and threw him at a near by rock.

ooc: a little autohit there, but that's ok. That would be when you grabbed me by my forearm and tossed me without letting me react, but I would allow that to happen anyways, since I know that can happen.

He rolled away and stopped in a kneeling position, dagger ready, but free hand resting on his vibroblades hilt.
