Barnabas saw him go for the pistol just in time. He closed his eyes, focusing on exactly what he had to do, once he heard the shots being fired he uncoiled all the strength he had in his bend legs and summersaulting in the air, he sailed over the first four bolts, and his armor took the lblast, but now there was a hole in his trench coat and no armor left on his left calf. He came down hard on the ground, but used the force to recoil his legs and launch himself with his blades ready at Jorax.
ooc: Conrad....
*Conrad saw the boy flip through the air, and wondered how he could do that with all that armor on, although he knew that it wasn't hard, just it needed an immeasurable amount of strength, which Barnabas had just shown. Running backward, he let out another 5 blaster bolts, but this time, he shot 3 at the ground to make the rookie dance, and then 2 at his chest and bladder to hopefully stop the crazy rookie from running at an experienced veteran head on.*
"Idiot."

*Barnabas touched down just in time to feel the bite of a blaster bolt. Luckily it saved him from intercepting the two bolts meant for his torso in critical areas. He rolled forward slightly to mininize the weight on his now burned right foot. Going for a more defensive stance, he begain to slowly move backward with his blades crossed in front of him. He was letting Conrad have the next move, but he had a trick up his sleeve. That is, if he lived long enough to execute said trick.
This is going to hurt.

*Conrad threw 3 grenades at Barnabas, 2 smoke grenades and one frag grenade. The frag would activate the 2 smoke grenades, and that would conceal the blaster shots, as Conrad fired away at Barnabas's body before the grenades went off.*

It was time to use the "trick" he had been saving. Barnabas ran to the left of the bolts going toward him, still running, he pulled out his ten throwing knives, launching them all simultaniously at Conrad. Two did not make it the whole way to Conrad, but that is what he expected. Once he had thrown them he ducked behind the rock he had intended Conrad to hit when he had thrown Conrad. Just in time because he felt the detination of the three grenades right behind him.
*Ah ha! The rookie was a melee/middle ranged combatant. This was now the key to handling the little bugger. As soon as he threw the knives, the smoke grenades went off after the frag as they were covered in smoke, as the rookie wouldn't be able to see for some time, unless he got the infrared upgrade. Conrad instantly turned on his jet-pack, as fuel ran through the flying machine as loud roar was heard, and Conrad went shooting up into the air. But that wasn't enough to dodge those knives though. Since his trusty blaster pistol was in hand, he got to shoot at them. All 8 shots were well placed and hit 4 out of 8 of the knives, and thank god for the hair trigger upgrade on all of his guns. As for the rest of the knives, they were behind the front 4, so Conrad was already in the air as the other 4 passed him from below. Now what would the weenie do?*

"Darn, I'll just have to wait." Barnabas was content to let Conrad find him. He was hidden behind a rock and was in a smoke screen, it would be difficult for either of them to find the other. Suddenly Barnabas heard the ignition of a jet pack, now he was in trouble, he could fire at Conrad with his rifle, but that would just reviel his position, and he probably would not hit. Barnabas once again resolved to let Conrad Come to him.
*Conrad used his infrared vision to find the rookie, and found him aroud some kind of barrier. Now, he threw a det down in that area, and right before it hit the ground, it exploded from a button that Conrad pressed. Kaboom.*
"Eat that you weenie! WOOHOO!"

Barnabas heard the shallow beeping, just in time. He leapt out and away from his cover, just as it was atomized by the thermal detonator. As he did he figured that he was seen and let loose several vollies of blaster fire at the place where he could hear and see a jet pack.
Yelling "Sir, your a bit intense for trainer, but this is awesome."

*As Conrad said that, the boy let loose another round of fire! What kinda imbecile does that right after a higher rank just said that the fight was over? Oh well. Time to test out his new jet pack. Through deft maneuvering, Conrad managed to avoid them all.*

"Sir, I apologize, I had no intention of killing you, I was just in the heat of the moment. Even if it had hit you, you would still be fine. I have my pistols and rifle on setting 6, not a killing shot, just a sever burn shot. Also, Sir, if we are done with that session of training, do not move forward, you would be severely injured." Barnabas said, hoping that his trainer would heed him.
"I DON'T CARE!! YOU SHOT AT ME!! YOU ARE GOING DOWN LITTLE MAN!!!"
*Taking another few frag grenades, Conrad pulled the plug out of each one of them and threw them at the idiot. The moment they would hit something, they would explode, and the little rookie would go Kabloom!!*

"I tried to warn him." Barnabas said, As Conrad's movement activated the two frag loaded knifes that were a foot from his feet. Barnabas had planned to use them against Conrad all along, but he was going to deactivate them since the fight was over. Unfortuantely, Conrad went crazy, so no matter.
They would not kill him, but if he did not have a shield, or some quick reflexes, he would be feeling the shards in the morning.
Barnabas pulled out two of his remaining five throwing knifes and threw them at the fragmentation grenades. They hit two of them, and the resulting detonation blew all four grenades to smithereens. Unfortuantely, there was shrapnel to deal with, and Barnabas took a piece in his left arm armor, but it still went slightly through to pierce into his skin.
Barnabas then leveled his rifle again and moved slightly toward the cloud of smoke that all the detonations had created, staying a good fifteen feet away.

*Conrad quickly maneuvered through the bits and pieces of the frag grenade as his infrared vision was instantaneously turned on, he picked up a blaster pistol from his waist, aimed, and fired right at Barnabas's head. If he couldn't see the blaster bolt, then oh well, too bad for him.*

*Barnabas realized that Conrad must be using some sort of vision enhancer to have shot at him so accurately though all the smoke and dust. Unfortunately for Barnabas, he didn't have an emp grenade to knock the enhancer out.
Knowing that Conrad had the clear advantage here with his jet pack and vision enhancer, Barnabas quickly moved away from the smoke screen, putting about thirty feet, and at least four rocks worth of cover in between him and his insane trainer
This saved his life because as he went behind the first rock during his tactical retreat, he heard several blaster shoots impact on the other side. As he got into a defensive position between to of the rocks, he looked back at the battle area, trying to discern where his instructor was.
He could not see anything at first, so he took a quick second to tend to his wound. He relaxed his left arm and slowly pulled the shrapnel out. After accomplishing that he put a little bakta on the wound and wrapped it up with an ace bandage. "Thank you God for my utility belt."
Barnabas checked his guns ammo. With plenty left he looked through the scope toward where he last saw Conrad. This was the farthest his rifle could shoot at its full effect ability, any further and the accuracy of the shoots would drop to 60% accuracy.
He once again noticed Conrad's Jet pack flare and shot two bursts, one at the flare itself, and another in a slight arc on the horizon, so it Conrad did not move, or moved to the left or right, he would intercept at least on blaster bolt.

*Conrad's infared vision picked up shots coming in very quickly, and the smoke screen was about to clear as well. The blaster bolts were well aimed, and they were traveling fast. The only way to get out of this was crazy timing. If it hadn't been for the insane tactics taught to him by Mandalore himself, he wouldn't be the man he was today. Pulling out his only flashbang, he turned off his jet pack and fell, and as the blaster bolts were coming, he saw that he couldn't move, or else he would be hit. The one at his jet pack was coming in fast, as he let the flashbang go, as it exploded by the first burst of fire, and the second burst skimmed his armor, but the warmth that passed him was too close for comfort.

Barnabas tinted his visor just in time to save a portion of his eyesight. Instead of being totally blind he only say a million little suns in his vision. Suddenly he heard a noise above him and saw a land slide coming at his position. To escape he knew that he would breifly come in to the open, so he quickly fired a burst of rounds at the position directly beneath where Conrad had been, since he no longer could see a jet pack flare. These shots were actually hapasardly shot since Barnabas's visions had still not fully recovered.
Barnabas knew that his only escape was forward, luckily there were still two or three good spots of cover in between him and Conrad. He rolled out of the way and forward, but one stone still nicked his leg. Luckily he was a Mandalorian wearing armor, because otherwise his leg would have just separated from his body. His armor look the brunt of the impact, but he still felt several lances of pain shot through his leg. He then quickly crouched behind his new cover, making sure that he was protected from both Conrad and the Rock slide, he had his armor do a quick diagnostic on his leg. Just as he had assumed, it was fractured in several places. Luckily it was not so bad that he could not continue fightring, his armor would hold it in place that long anyway.

*The blaster shots coming at Conrad were erratic and all over the place as they were dodged easily. However, Barnabas moved too quickly for Conrad to see him get out of his hiding spot and move to another. He was also running low on jet pack fuel, as he flew over to a cliff, and took out his rifle and started using his scope to find the boy. He also had sufficent rocks for cover.*

Barnabas saw Conrad fly up to the cliff above him. Luckily the smoke and dust had cleared and his vision was almost completely restored.
Conrad suddenly diapeared among the rocks above.
This was Barnabas's chance to turn the tables on Conrad. At the angle Conrad flew at, he was facing away from Barnabas, so now Barnabas had a brief chance at offense. Barnabas quickly, but quietly moved up the canyon, to where the ascent to the cliff was only about 10 feet up. Barnabas got behind an out-croping of the cliff. It seemed safe enough, but Barnabas knew that no where was safe during combat. He slowly looked around the end of the rock wall and saw no movement in the canyn or on the cliff, that he could see at least. Then he unslung his rifle and did a quick scan of the cliff above, searching for any sign of Conrad.
