"And yet another comes..." (Choray Sefja's Training)

[Phil]

The attack did not break through the defense, but it was powerful enough to make Durtrak stagger back while keeping his guard up. This made him smile as he tightened his grip around his blade, knowing this Zabrak had the potential.

"Thatsss the way! Ssstrike like that, use the Force to speed your movements in your arms!"

 

[D.C.]

Choray nodded and let the Force flow through his body. He could feel it and the adrenaline rushed through his veins. He raised his sword again and dashed, in a burst of speed, at his master. He was in front of the Trandoshan in less than seconds and slashed from the left towards the blade. Again his intention was to unharm the Ospion, though this time with a faster and more violent approach.

 

[Phil]

Durtrak saw the strike come at him, and now felt he was actually dueling someone worthwhile. Choray's blade managed to break through Durtrak's defense as it slightly cut through his robe and into his leg. It was nothing more then a flesh wound though to the Trandoshan as he took a step back, twirling his blade.

"Very good. Now, Durtrak will sssee how well your guard isss. Defend against my blowsss."

Holding his blade with two hands, he took a step forward and swung his blade towards Choray's head.

Choray thought that it would be smart to use Speed here as well. He quickly lifted his sword up and blocked off the Ospion Knight's strike.

 

[Phil]

Durtrak held the blade where it had landed foe a second, pressing down on it as he pulled it back far. As he did so, he took a step back and made a quick slice attack towards Choray's knees. The attacks seemed toned down, but as Durtrak struck with each blow, he was observing on how tough this Zabrak was exactly.

 

[D.C.]

Choray saw the strike to his legs just in time and quickly brought down his sword to block the attack. However, he was a split second to late and Durtraks blade made a minor cut in his legs. He did not pay attention to it, though. He stepped back and waited for another strike.

 

[Phil]

Seeing the cut on the leg as the sight of blood slightly drew Durtrak's attention towards it, he pulled the blade back as he focused the Force into his hands, strengthening them. Now gripping the blade tightly once more, Durtrak then charged at Choray as he swung the blade towards his midsection.

 

[D.C.]

Durtrak's blade was aimed for Choray's midsection, so the zabrak dashed forward and slashed with his sword against Durtrak's. The blades locked and Choray looked into his master's eyes. Somehow he forgot this was a training session. He had to win. He just had to. He felt some anger coming up inside him which gave him some strength, but was it enough to defeat a real Ospion Knight? He then managed to push away Durtrak's blade and slashed towards Durtrak's left shoulder.

 

[Phil]

Durtrak decided to ease off a little... this once. He allowed the strike Choray made to break through his, Durtrak making it seem like he did, as his strike cut through his robe cloth and onto his hardened underlays that were attached to them.

"Not bad. My sensesss can feel the anger in that lasst ssstrike. Fight like that, and you will go a long way. Jussst do not let it blind you like it hasss many of my own kind. It can be... dangerousss."

He said with a smile, throwing his blade aside as it gently floated back to the weapons rack it came from before Durtrak reached into his robe for an item. Within moments, a metal object that held a few trinkets onto it activated and a dark yellow energy beam emitted from it to form a lightsaber.

"Do you know what thisss isss? If sso, do you possesss such a tool?"

 

[D.C.]

Choray sighed and calmed down. He lowered his sword and stepped back. Still ignoring the cut in his leg he looked at the yellow blade coming from the handle which Durtrak held.

"A lightsaber..." he said. He was not suprised because he knew the Ospions carried such weapons, just like the jedi, but he was impressed for sure. "No, I don't have a lightsaber myself. I have never touched one in my life, though I have seen one once or twice."

 

[Phil]

"You ssee the metal cassse in that corner there? Open it. There containsss sseveral training lightssabers insside. Take one and hang onto it until we come to where you mussst build your own Lightssaber."

Durtrak pointed to the case in the corner with his saber, deactivating it afterwords and putting it back into his robe.

 

[D.C.]

Choray felt a wave of excitement. Even though it were just training sabers, it were lightsabers. He walked over to the case and opened it. He took one training lightsaber from it and closed the case again. He turned back to his master and stood before him.

"May I activate it?"

 

[Phil]

"Of courssse. Jusst be ssure to point it in the right direction." They may be training sabers, but Durtrak had them all modified by the Weapons Master so they would cause a more painful, but still non lethal burn if they were to come into contact with someone... or it's user.

 

[D.C.]

Choray made sure that the point where the blade would be ignited was pointed upwards so it would not hit him. He then pushed the small button and a blue blade flashed out of the handle. He was impressed again. The blades of the lightsabers were beautiful, but deadly.

He deactivated it after he had looked at the blade and waited for new instructions.

 

[Phil]

"Hold onto it, for it will help you prepare for when you acquire a real one. Now I will show you the powersss you will wield, some the Jeedai would never use. Are you ready to learn more?"

 

[D.C.]

Powers the jedi would never use. Choray wondered what kind of powers. He knew the jedi were peaceful and so Choray understood the powers he would learn were the more offensive powers.

"I am ready, master Durtrak." he said as he held the training lightsaber tight in his right hand.

 

[Phil]

"Very Good. Firssst, I will sshow you how to disable an enemy if you are rendered weaponlesss. Well, two waysss actually. Both are telekinesisss bassed attacksss that can be ussed to dissable, or even kill a persson if ussed properly. The firsst is a ssimple pussh."

To demonstrate a simple, harmless push, Durtrak looked around and noticed that he had left a box open earlier today. He aimed his hand towards the lid as a gentle seismic energy emitted from his hands and towards the lid. The force slammed into the lid as it clamped down onto the box.

"Do you ssee? You know how to use the Force to control your sspeed. Thisss iss quite ssimilar, only you are to focuss the energiesss more different. The more you gather, the more powerful the pussh will become."

 

[D.C.]

Choray focused on the box and stretched out his right arm. He could feel the force energy around himself. He tried but nothing happened. The box remained on its place. He lowered his hand and sighed. He then thought about his force speed and knew he could do this, if he could speed, which seemed a more difficult power to him.
He then stretched out his right arm once again and he could feel energy flowing though his arm, going through his fingers and exiting his hand. Then box was slammed by an invisible energy and Choray had succesfully excecuted a Push power.
He looked over to his master to await further instructions.

 

[Phil]

"Impressive. Now, try that once more againsst mysself. Do not worry about my own ssaftey."

With that said, Durtrak stood away from Choray and crossed his arms infront of his head. He would defend himself from the attack when it struck him, knowing it coulden't be too powerful.

 

[D.C.]

Choray understood the basics and used the same technique. He reached out his right hand towards Durtrak and blew a force push against him. It was not as powerful as it should be, but Choray did not doubt and did as his master told him to.
