"And yet another comes..." (Choray Sefja's Training)

[Phil]

"Very well. Then your insstructionsss are to ssimply follow me."

With that, Durtrak looked to the next closest roof of the massive enclave and ran towards it. However, there was a large gap between the roof he was on and the one he was leaping too. For him though, it was quite simple to leap across it and towards the next roof. Once across, he looked back towards Choray.

"Now you try. Combine both your sspeed and your leaping powersss to get acrosss thisss gap. Do not worry if you fall."

Was all Durtrak said, but the way he worded the last bit left it in question.

 

[D.C.]

Choray was very good at speed, as he demonstrated before, but leaping was different. Though he had jumped onto the roof he was now standing on, it still was different.

He gathered force energy around him and then ran in a burst of speed towards the edge of the roof. He then launched himself in the air using Force Leap. Halfway he realised he had not jumped far enough and he fell down, just before he could grab the ledge.

"Holy shit!" he shouted.

 

[Phil]

Durtrak saw that his apprentice had jumped too soon and would not make the gap. Seeing that he would fall down quite a distance, he launched his hand towards him in a lifting motion that pushed Choray backwards and onto the roof he leaped off of.

"A good try, but you leaped too ssoon. I want to ssee you try again, Choray. I know you can leap over here."

 

[D.C.]

The zabrak was shocked and thought he would make a heavy crash landing. His heart was pounding.
He then looked over to where his master stood and pulled himself together. He sighed and closed his eyes. As he concentrated and called upon the force to help him reach the other side, he suddenly ran in a burst of speed towards the edge. Just before he would step off it, he launched himself in the air. A few seconds later he stood on the other edge. He took a quick step forward and said: "Made it."

It gave him a good feeling and he enjoyed the small 'flight' from roof to roof.

 

[Phil]

"Well done. Now that we are up here, it isss time to usse the training ssaber you picked up."

Durtrak then reached into his robe and drew his, activating it's dark yellow beam once more as he held it in both of his hands.

"Activate it, get ussed to the weight in the handle, and when you feel you are prepared, sstrike me."

 

[D.C.]

Choray had not expected that saber combat would follow after the leap. He grabbed the training saber and ignited it. The blue blade flashed and Choray swung the blade. It was very different than his vibroblade.

After trying some moves he looked at Durtrak. "I think I am ready." he said.

He raised his blade and slashed with it towards Durtrak's left shoulder.

 

[Phil]

Durtrak brought his blade up, being careful not to hit Choray with it as he shoved his blade back some.

"Again."

Durtrak said with a satisfied tone. Unlike Choray's blade, Durtrak's was real and could seriously injure his apprentice should he hit him with it. He was quite careful with it when using it in duals.

 

[D.C.]

Choray quickly struck again, slashing towards Durtrak's right shoulder, but at the last moment going down for the trandoshan's right leg.

 

[Phil]

Durtrak blocked the surprise attack with his own and held his blade there for a brief moment. This man had the potential with the blade.

"Good! Now, I want you to put ssome of your anger into your sstrikesss. Imagine thisss is not a practice dual, and I will kill you if you let your guard down."

 

[D.C.]

Anger. It was something Choray gave strength, and something he felt from time to time these days.

Again, he called upon his anger. He felt it coming up within him.

He then raised his blade, and slashed, powerful, towards Durtrak's right shoulder. It was a direct blow, not an appearance movement, but it was a strong one.

 

[Phil]

Durtrak raised his own blade as energy beams collides, causing Durtrak to take a step back. It was a find strike made, and this pleased Durtrak.

"Good. That is what I like to ssee! Jusst a few more of thosse now."

 

[D.C.]

Choray once again raised his saber and he struck Durtrak with great strength. He was all driven by his anger.

His attack was aimed for Durtrak's left arm this time.

 

[Phil]

Durtrak turned his blade upwards with a slant as he blocked the attack, though he could feel the strength in Choray, knowing he had the chance of breaking through Durtrak's defense if he wanted too. Durtrak knew exactly how to make his apprentice accomplish this. Releasing his right hand from his saber hilt while holding it with his other, Durtrak tapped into his anger and dark powers as he suddenly made a small jolt emit from his hands and right into Choray's stomach.

 

[D.C.]

The jolt made Choray even more angry and he striked his master again. He kept on slashing on different parts of his master's body. His arms, legs, torso, head. Anywhere. He kept on striking until he would break through his master's defense. He was now completely driven by anger.

 

[Phil]

After one paticular strike, Durtrak's guard finally broke as he stumbled back before recieving a strike on his left elbow. The Trandoshan growled in slight pain, but quickly recovered from it as he held his lightsaber infront of him.

"Hold! You have proven you can hold a lightssaber, usse it in battle, and when to put your anger into your sstrikesss. SSoon, I will sshow you how weild it in battle like a true Osspion would."

 

[D.C.]

Choray slowly calmed down and he deactivated his saber. He was still shaking from the anger that, seconds ago, had been coursing through his veins.

"It feels great..." he suddenly said. "...The anger. It gives me power."

He then remained silent and waited for Durtrak to give the next objective.

 

[Phil]

"Yesss, it doesss. The anger will be the advantage you have if you ever encounter the Jeedai. Usse it, and they will fall to your blade. Isss there anything you wissh to know about what you have learned or what you may learn?"

 

[D.C.]

"Is there a Force technique, that can empower one with pure anger? Like it boosts the anger and gives the user strength? And is there an ultimate Dark Side power?" Choray asked. He was curious to the Dark Side.

 

[Phil]

"I've... sstuddied ssuch powersss, and learned of the exisstence of a few. The power you sspeak of isss what we call "Rage". It empowersss your sstrength tremendoussly, making the usser more powerful then a madclaw Wookiee. However, I would sstrongly advisse not learning it unlesss you have a sstrong mind and control of the anger, least you become a mindlesss beasst that becomesss a threat to even usss. Even I have not tried to learn ssuch a power yet, but if there exisstesss an all powerful ability from the Dark Sside, more deadly then Rage, then I do not know of it's exisstence. It'sss possible that it is not taught by another, but learned through your own experiancesss and journeysss."

 

[D.C.]

Choray was interested in these powers. He thought about this 'rage'. He wondered what it would be like. What kind of experience it would be. He then looked at his master and said: "Alright, thank you for answering. I am ready to move on."
