Reading the post before the one just put up, you will see in the first paragraph Mira preparing against a counterattack with both hands. Thus her block is legit, your attack is diverted. Mira, although being smaller than Seb, is more than physically strong enough to use both her hands to push away one of Sebastian's.

Hmm...you know, re-reading our 'Forceful Senses' thread, I think I can let my post stand as it is, since Char noted that he revoked his Force Stealth ability prior to making the tirade that Teynara's responding to. So he was visible and audible at the time, so I think it's best just to leave it as it is and keep going. What do you think?

I'm basing my rulings on what's happening in the thread. The only valid protection you have against the scream is trying to disrupt or stun BN before he uses the power. It's up to him to decide what happens in regards to that punch connecting and the subsequent actions that occur from there. It's really that simple.

You also posted that the scream still hit in your following paragraph - otherwise there would be no need for you to be posting that you were defending against it by altering your ear drums etc, but whether or not the scream still goes off as planned is up to BN - your defense is the punch at her nose and that only. The other stuff won't work.

Tutaminis wouldn't work in that situation unless you were already constantly channeling it, which would place a massive drain on you. You can't just switch it on and off as you please either, especially at point blank range.

So I was asked to look over the Razorblades Come Out, and read over the relevant discussion in the VMs between yourself and BN. I'll make this quick.

Going by what you wrote in your post as a response to your action, the Force Scream would hit and do some severe damage, especially at point blank range. Stiffening your ear drums wouldn't work, especially focusing on something so small in a heartbeat while delivering a punch to BN's character. In addition to this, you didn't actually state you were still using Tutaminis, so for all intents and purposes you weren't.

Oi, on another note, I'd rather out discussion here not carry into the Sacul thread, and I'd really rather Lain not fight Seb. One duke out fight with Seb is enough for me, plus Lain would lose :p

You don't fully understand, Tutaminis absorbs electrical and Force energy, not Sonic. The Scream's frequency and strength would be able to vibrate Seb's eardrums to the point of bursting whether he tried to defend or not simply because of the fact that no one, not even a master, can defend against a MASTERED POWER in a split second without either A.preparing for beforehand, or B. taking damage,
Also, every attack of the Dark Side is made with extreme bouts of emotion, anger, hatred, passion ect. Lastly, If you've played KOTOR 2 then you know that Scream could be used at any time by the Jedi Exile and caused sonic damage.
In addition, using that logic one could say that, because ALL POWERS come through the force in some way that everything possibly imaginable can be blocked by Tutaminis. Now you and I both know that's BS.

To let you know, telepathic conversation could still continue their convo even if Seb became deaf from the eardrums bursting.
You need to know that the split second before Mira screamed is not be enough time to prepare against any mastered force power. Period. Not just scream, but all powers. Also, stiffening the eardrums and inner workings of the ear would not defend against scream, as the sonic waves would hit the eardrums and burst them regardless of how hard Seb is stiffening them.
Also, being as it is no specific Force power, that would mean it is not 'mastered' to a degree. Understand, that would be similar to me saying a padawan's Tutaminis could hold back a Dark Lord's lightning. You get me?

Oi, to let you know, becoming 'deaf' wouldn't stop the Scream from bursting Sebastian's eardrums and causing intense nausia and disorientation. The scream is emitting very high powered and high frequency sonic waves that would pierce through any barrier not prepared pre-attack. Also, what power are you using to make seb deaf?
Not trying to come off as offensive, but in a real fight these would be.legit questions that your opponent would ask and present before an admin if the issue wasn't resolved(obviously I'm not getting an admin, just informing.of what might happrn if you fought in an skirmish or something.)
