BIOGRAPHY
For most of his life, Bach has been the rebellious type. He did not often break the law intentionally, but he always did as he pleased with little regard to the law or consequences. Living in the dangerous streets of a crowded city alone as a teenager, he developed some paranoia. He eventually outgrew that, trusting a few people he could go friends. With his new bonds, his defensiveness, instead of fading, grew to cover those he liked. He saw himself as a shield between his friends, and the shots being fired everywhere.
Bach has only recently been taken in as a Padawan. He is one of the older new recruits, but he is at peace with it. He likes the opportunity to learn and teach, or at least inspire at the same time. He tries to look though on the outside, but he can hardly hide how much he cares for other people. He not only helps people who ask him for it, but actively looks for people who might need his help. He is often criticized by his masters for rushing into being a knight. He is told constantly that he should focus on his training first, and that he can focus on helping others once he becomes a knight, and understands the force and the teachings of the Jedi. Bach doesn't admit or show this, but he is skeptical of most of the Jedi Order's teachings. He sees the force (at least for now) as a tool he could use to help others.
HISTORY
Bach was born and raised in Coruscant, by parents who weren't harmful, but not otherwise helpful either. He had to learn everything about life on his own, as there were no eyes on him. Not from his parents, not from his teachers. He taught himself how to socialize, realizing quickly that friends were an important thing to have to make life worthwhile. The best times of his teenage years were hanging out with his friends after school, causing a mess around his neighborhood. Granted, that's also where most of his troubles began. Despite his best attempts, he just couldn't stand in line for long, always breaking some minor law he didn't know about, or pissing someone off without realizing it. His small misdemeanors were slowly piling up, and he was skipping school more and more, and one day he realized that was not the kind of life he wanted to live.
When he was 16, Bach found a job working at a bar and kept spending his free time with his friends as he used to do. The bar slowly became a safe haven for his friends who were, like him, kids who were 'victims' of Coruscant. He had always acted like an older brother to them, even his seniors because despite their age, Bach had more life experience.
Every once in a while, a Jedi would stumble into the bar, as they do. Some would notice Bach had a 'gift' as most of them called it. They tried to recruit him every now and then. Bach was never really interested. Despite all of its flaws, life in Coruscant was all he knew. He had grown accustomed to it, and he even started to like it. Even more than that, he believed he was doing good in his community. He had successfully changed the direction of a handful of people's lives for the better, convincing some of them not to pursue crime, giving life advice, and even setting people up with each other - be it in a romantic or a platonic way.
One day, another Jedi arrived. The conversation started like many Bach had with their faction before. But this time, Bach recognized something he had not previously. As the Jedi talked, he realized his intentions were pure, and what he was doing was similar - almost identical to what Bach was trying to do with the people in his community. He realized he had been acting like a guide when he himself was in need of guidance. He realized he had to learn... A lot. The Jedi stayed past closing time. They sat and drank. They talked. About everything. When they were done and it was time for the Jedi to leave, Bach accepted his offer and joined the Order.
ABILITIES
- Streetwise.
Living alone in Coruscant as a teen has pushed Bach to be able to recognize danger, and guide others through it. He's more perceptive to anything shady, illegal deals, smuggling, someone carrying a weapon when they shouldn't, you name it. If he doesn't know something, he likely knows a guy who knows it or a guy who knows a guy who knows it. He has ties in a lot of places in the universe, but mostly in Coruscant.
- Alert & Agile.
Due to his upbringing, Bach has experience in outrunning danger and dodging shots, whether they're intended for him or not. He has also picked up a few skills he doesn't get to use as they're looked down upon by the Jedi, like picking pockets, picking locks, or making a knife out of almost anything.
- Bullseye.
Despite being a Padawan of the Jedi Order, Bach's truest combat skills still lie with guns. Like most of his other abilities, this also originates from his life in Coruscant. He couldn't have survived to meet the Jedi had he not been a faster shot than the people he pissed off.
- Force Training.
Bacchus is still new to training in the force, thus not very capable. He does his very best to try and understand the force, and how to make use of it.
DABL-77
DABL-77, or "Double" as Bach calls it, is a droid small in size but big at heart. A 4EY Scout Droid, it has helped Bach on many occasions. It was gift given to him by a few of his friends for his going-away party, when he joined the Jedi Order. Double has tons of messages recorded by them.
