DESCRIPTION
The Longsword-class frigate is a heavily armed warship designed on commission by Galentro Heavy Shipworks for the Sith Empire. The ship was commissioned by entities within the Empire to deploy and bolster the strength of the Sith Navy in response to the growing threats budding throughout the galaxy. Mandalorian revolutionaries, the emergence of the Rebellion in the form of the Galactic Alliance, and the continued resistance of the Imperial Republica all pose significant threats prompting the creation of additional ships for the fleets of the Empire. Galentro Heavy Works was contracted as the manufacturer of this model in order to not overburden the already-busy Imperial Shipyards.

The Longsword-class is a heavily armed frigate designed with combat in mind. These frigates are intended to act as command ships for entire battle groups throughout the fleet, or as heavy support escorts for the few larger cruisers in service within the Imperial fleet. They are designed for ship-to-ship combat, to issue forth as much damage as possible as quickly as possible. Enemies of the Longsword had best be wary.

LEGALITY
Restricted. Longsword-class frigates are common enough, but are considered capital warships, generally making them illegal for civilian ownership. Almost all extant examples are also property of the Sith Empire.

INTENT
To create a new class of warship for use in the Imperial navy in response to the growing threats rising across the galaxy.

ADVANCED TECH
Yes. Longsword-class frigates are not trivial to buy, steal or otherwise acquire, and it would take a plot to do so.

Howl was born Selena Solus, of the Solus clan of Mandalor. Her family was a branch of the main Solus clan and held little-to-no power within the clan aside from the family name. Despite this, Selena's family were some of the first Mandalorians to rebel against Imperial rule, years before the main clans chose to rise up against the sith. Selena's parents attempted to form a militia on the Mandalorian colony of Concord Dawn and performed several terrorist attacks on imperial installations on the planet. Unfortunately their movements were made far too soon. Popular opinion had not yet fully turned in favor of outright revolt against the empire, even amongst the mandalorians. The militia did not receive enough support from the populace to continue operating for long, and their attacks on the imperials had drawn too much attention. The militia members were forced to disband and go into hiding, but many of the leaders were rounded up by imperial intelligence forces and executed, Selena's parents among them. Selena changed her name to Selty Brough out of fear of execution without trial. Eventually she and the militia members she was in hiding with were captured. Pretending to be just another soldier, she was sent to an imperial labor camp on Mandalore. There she met and befriended several rouge pilots, smugglers, and bounty hunters who had made enemies of the empire, and learned much about the dark underside of the galaxy. Several years later, when the main Mandalorian uprising started, the labor camp was attacked and Selty and several of her smuggler friends managed to escape, eventually stealing a ship and leaving Mandalorian space for the outer rim. Selty had no love in her heart for her fellow Mandalorians now revolting against the sith. Rather, it enraged her to see the clans who had failed to support her family years before, now successfully rising up and driving the empire back. Simply because they had been to afraid to commit, her family had died, and now that the Mandalorians had found their balls, they were succeeding where her parents could have before if they had had the support they needed. Selty forsook her given name of Selena Solus and took up the name HOWL, as she aimed to give herself a fresh start on the edge of the galaxy.

Howl is a supremely confident person. She usually carries herself with a heavy measure of swagger and she has been described as acting as though she knows something you don't at all times. Howl learned this personality from her allies in the underworld. Surrounded by smugglers, gamblers, thieves and hunters for much of her young adult life, Howl's personality was forged by her environment. Despite the fact that she is usually seen with a smug and self-confident air, in the heat of a good fight, she can become somewhat wild and unruly. Those who have seen her like this say that she has a bit of bloodlust in her. Having been trained to be a proud Mandalorian warrior since childhood, it is simply ingrained in her being.

Howl was raised from early childhood to be a warrior, in the traditional Mandalorian way. While still in her early teens, Howl joined her parents in forming a militia and conducting guerrilla-style attacks against imperial targets. Howl is well-versed in most forms of weaponry and warfare. Learning from her outlaw friends, Howl became an exceedingly skilled pilot both in combat and in evasion.
* Howl is force-sensitive, but is completely untrained and unaware. She gets 'feelings' sometimes which she attributes to killer instincts.

DESCRIPTION
The Blockade Runner was originally designed by Rendili Vehicle Corporation as a Carrack with law enforcement in mind. Local law enforcement, like sector security forces, needed mobile bases that were fast, maneuverable, decently armed, and well-shielded—all traits that both unmodified starfighters and light freighters (and even some patrol ships) lacked. The design was based upon old-but-still-familiar Republic consular ships, but were much smaller, allowing for them to function as patrol and inspection ships, as well as personal starships for those lucky enough to afford one.

The Blockade Runner was one-hundred meters in length and had a narrow hull, flanked on either side and near the stern by two powerful dual-thruster engines, which allowed it, despite its size, to move as quickly as many stock-model light freighters. It was protected by both ventral and dorsal dual-light laser cannons, as well as a concussion missile tube that held three missiles in its magazine. The RVC-225 was also equipped with heavy military grade deflector shields, which allowed it to preform its roll as a police patrol craft and endure quite a beating from enemy starfighters, or even enemy capital craft, without buckling.

Befitting its namesake, the Blockade Runner eventually became a popular starship among frequent travelers, adventurers, or those who often endured frequent and long journeys across the galaxy. Its heavy defenses deterred pirates and other criminals and the interior was quite spacious, which made for comfortable living quarters while on long journeys or assignments. While the Runner was not as customizable as a light freighter, the favorite of smugglers, the armament and equipment (i.e., power plant, communications, shielding, etc.) could be upgraded to higher classes in order to fit its owner's needs.

LEGALITY
Legal. Carracks are a common sight throughout the galaxy and the Blockade Runner is cleared for both civilian and military usage.

INTENT
To give a stronger, if less maneuverable, alternative to the common light freighter for a character's personal ship, more reminiscent of the personal ships given out in Star Wars video games like Star Wars: The Old Republic. Also to create an example of a Carrack.

ADVANCED TECH
Yes. Though legal for civilian ownership, the Blockade Runner Carrack possesses many advanced qualities—weapons, shielding, and equipment—and is also quite expensive to purchase. Stealing one would likewise be difficult. A tech plot of 1-3 threads may be required to acquire one.

Background:

The Confederacy is an organization that was given birth in the outer rim and the outer reaches of the galaxy. It was formed by independent spacers who lived outside the laws and factions of the galactic core and chose to keep it that way. The outspoken purpose of the confederacy was to ensure freedom and self-governance to the sectors of the galaxy who had never known Imperial or Republic oversight. However, the confederacy was founded by and attracted those who also lived outside standard galactic law. Pirates, smugglers, slicers, thieves, assassins, mercenaries and other various criminal elements found haven and solace under the auspices of the confederacy, which secretly profited off of their underworld dealings while allowing them the freedom to "Live their lives as they saw fit." The confederacy demanded little-to-nothing of their various members aside from a solemn vow to never take action directly against the organization. Those who wished it were allowed to leave the organization at their own discretion, but any who betrayed or knowingly brought harm to the confederacy or it's interests would find enemies in every harbor across the galaxy. In return for their membership and their contributions to the organization, the Pelagian Confederacy provided profitable work for their various members as well as resources for those who usually had little to nothing to work with. This symbiotic relationship which still allowed for virtually unrestricted freedom was extremely attractive to many independent spacers, even some who had no criminal ties. The confederacy operates in the dark corners and lesser-known reaches of the galaxy to hide in the shadows from the larger powers within the galactic core. The confederacy does not actively seek to cause harm to any outsiders. The organization does not employ the use of slavery, nor do they mercilessly slaughter those who fall prey to their exploits. Indeed the confederacy makes charitable contributions to many of the locals who live within their sphere of influence. The purpose of this, however, is not truly philanthropic. Confederacy leadership believe that to keep those who live beneath their foundations happy is the best way to avoid uprisings against them. It is merely their way of ensuring that the regions of the galaxy that they operate within do not turn on them. This code of conduct has led the confederacy to gain a reputation amongst the locals as heroes of the people who rob from the rich and give to the needy. Though this is not at all true, the confederacy cultivates these rumors and reputations in order to hide their shady face.

KSO Mining Incorporated
KSO Mining Inc is a shell corporation which secretly operates as a branch of the Pelagian Confederacy. This organization is loosely registered as an outer-rim mining company which prospects for valuable minerals in the lesser-known reaches of the galaxy. In truth, however, KSO handles the business interests of the confederacy and provides the funding for much of the confederacy's operations. Members of the KSO branch work to keep their images clean and ensure that their dealings appear to be on the up-and-up, even though, they usually are not.

The Jade Fleet

While the Pelagian Confederacy is not a strictly military organization, they do maintain and continue to build up a military fleet to protect their business and interests in the outer reaches of the galaxy. The fleet is kept highly mobile, and while individual ships or battle groups may make incursions inwards, for the most part while the fleet is not in use it is kept hidden deep in the unknown reaches of the galaxy, moving to and fro amongst the confederacy's secret bases of operation.

Valleria was born to the Tripscote house of Alderaan. Her father was Vallerian Tripscote, whom she was named after. The Tripscote name was made famous by Valleria's father Vallerian who had lived much of his life as a privateer and, some would say, a pirate. Having left his home world of Alderaan at a young age, Vallerian started as a trader within the republic, however, he quickly learned that there was more money to be made as a trader bringing core goods to the outer rim and outer rim raw resources back to the core worlds. For a time, Vallarian pursued this business and made a small fortune for himself, but Vallerian's ships began to fall under attack from pirates a brigands. Vallerian began putting together a defense force to defend his interests, and he led his fighters in defending his convoys in the outer rim. Not enjoying the sight of their favorite prey rising up against them, several bandit groups joined together in an attempt to wipe out Vallerian and his forces. The battles took place in an uninhabited system of the outer rim, and none know what exactly happened. Vallerian and his forces, as well as the pirates in question all disappeared and for a galactic standard year, Vallerian was declared missing in action and all of his holdings were claimed by the various government bodies of the planets on which he did business. His blossoming trade empire was wiped clean, seemingly overnight.

One galactic standard year after his disappearance, Vallerian Tripscote reappeared into the galaxy once more. He led a band of brigands, cutthroats, thieves, some would say outright pirates. The group was of indeterminate size and strength and moved through the outer rim and the unknown regions where the militaries and security forces of the galaxy couldn't track them, making raids into the inner rims. For years Tripscote's raiders preyed on hyperspace lanes and shipping routes. As they grew stronger, they began to intervene in military affairs. On numerous occasions and in numerous locations across the galaxy the raiders intervened in skirmishes, battles and even wars. Always on the side of the non-aggressors, always on the side of the underdog. Quickly, Vallerian Tripscote developed a reputation as a robin hood-esque character. Robbing from the rich, giving to the needy, fighting for the little guy. But, while the average galactic citizen might have viewed him this way, Vallerian made many enemies in his years of piratical exploits. Corporate enemies, political enemies, the kind no single man can stand against.

Eventually, Vallerian decided to retire. He disbanded his raiders and returned to his home world of Alderaan, a wealthy man.

DESCRIPTION
The Corellian C-70s started life as the well-recognized Corellian Consular-Class Cruisers, which were used heavily by the Galactic Republic before the outbreak of the Clone Wars as diplomatic and general purpose transport vessels. The original Consular-Class boasted little in the way of weaponry, only supporting two light laser turrets for defense against unsavory types. With the outbreak of the Clone Wars, this changed. After the first battle of Geonosis the Republic Navy sought to rapidly increase the number of fighting ships available, ordering the construction of numerous Venator-Class Destroyers, Acclamator-Class Assault Ships, and Arquitens-Class Corvettes. It was discovered, however, that Consular-Class Cruisers could be retrofit with heavier weaponry much faster than new ships could be built from scratch, so the Republic had most of their fleet of Consulars retrofit into the Corellian C-70 Corvettes.

The C-70s saw heavy use at the beginning of, and throughout much of the Clone Wars. Slowly but surely, however, the Arquitens-Class corvettes began to edge their way in and the C-70s saw less and less use on the front lines. When the clone wars finally ended, the First Galactic Empire requisitioned much of the former Republic Navy, including the fleet of C-70 corvettes. The Imperial Navy chose the Arquitens-Class to be the primary corvette model for military use, and ceased production of the Consular-Class and C-70 Corvettes. The remaining C-70s saw service in the Imperial Navy for a time, but as they aged and were replaced by new Arquitens-Class's, most were sold off to the corporate sector or retired for dismantling. Corellian C-70s are an uncommon sight these days, but not unheard of in various corners of the galaxy.

DESCRIPTION
The LSR-1500 is the best-selling workhorse of the Galentro Heavy Works civilian fleet. The ship boasts good speed and cargo capacity among the light freighter class and provides shielding and even defensive options.

A light freighter would be legal basically everywhere unless it's illegally modified or armed, but a gunboat loaded for Zillo beasts is probably going to be illegal or heavily restricted in many systems unless you're specially licensed or a member of groups allowed to be so armed.

DESCRIPTION
The Recusant-class was a staple ship-of-the-line for the Confederacy of Independent Systems during the era of the clone wars. In many battles, these ships were seen in fleets, often accompanied by Munificent-class frigates. When the CIS was finally defeated at the end of the war by the First Galactic Empire, many of these ships were still in service. The Empire rejected the Recusant-Class for their own military use, instead choosing to continue use of the Venator-class destroyers and other new Corellian and Kuati designs. The Recusant-class was taken out of production, and the surviving ships were purchased by various military forces around the galaxy, retired and decommissioned, or declared missing in action if they could not be found after the war was ended.

Originally designed by the Mon Calamari shipyards for the Commerce Guild before the start of the Clone Wars, the design was transferred to the Hoersch-Kessel Drive Inc. after the war had begun as the company was under the control of the CIS. The Recusant was originally designed to work largely under the command of a central droid brain, because of this along with the fact that the CIS utilized primarily droids in their armies, the areas of the ship under the control of the life support system was relatively small. After the Empire rose to power and outlawed the use of droid armies, the Recusants were modified to support the necessary crew and complimentary forces. Despite the modifications, the Recusant still hosts a small passenger and crew capacity for similar ships of it's size, and when repairs are needed, it is not

I thought that I had responded to this thread, but I guess not.

I was a member of a tabletop role-playing D&D group in high school. Except that we played on the carpeted floor instead of at a table. Our DM created her own campaigns and they were fun. After she graduated, she was a couple grades ahead of me, we all sort of split up and decided to not continue playing. I think one kid even moved away.

Other than online MMORPGs, I have not engaged in a classic role-playing game since high school.

DESCRIPTION
The Kunde Heavy Freighter is the largest freighter offered from Galentro Heavy Works, and is the largest heavy freighter on the market by a small margin. It is Galentro Heavy Work's answer to the GH-4 Heavy freighter offered by rival shipyard Gallofree.

The Kunde is marketed by Galentro as the largest and most advanced heavy freighter on the market, but in reality it is actually no larger than it's competitor the GH-4. In order to beat out the competition, Galentro added an additional 100 tons of cargo holds giving the Kunde the largest cargo capacity of any freighter on the markets, but in order to accomplish this Galentro cut the number of escape pods to four 5-man pods, barely enough to cover the baseline crew. This move has been criticized by numerous detractors. Since the Kunde has a passenger capacity of 36, it is completely possible that one of these ships could find themselves in a dire situation where there were not enough escape pods for all of the passengers. Galentro waves off their detractors stating that the ship was not intended as a passenger liner and that the ship has plenty of escape pods for the necessary crew. Also, the company says the hangar allows for a shuttle to be present which can provide additional escape routes. Galentro also cut the number of docking rings and tubes by half as compared to the GH-4, which makes orbital loading jobs take twice as long, but again, Galentro denies that it is such a big deal, stating that the hangar can be used for loading shuttles to deliver cargo as well.

Much like the GH-4, the Kunde is considered a highly worthwhile prize for pirates and the like. Due to this, they frequently travel in convoys and often with armed escorts, as their light armament and shielding can fall short of their defense needs.

LEGALITY
Legal. Kunde heavy freighters are considered innocuous enough under most jurisdictions, and can be registered without undue fuss.

INTENT
To create an alternate type of bulk freighter used by everyone.

DESCRIPTION
Deflector shields are essential for the survival of space-fairing vessels. However, most vessels are only protected by civilian-grade deflector shields. Military deflector shield projectors were highly-coveted by pilots looking to make their ships more durable against potential enemies like pirates and hostile military starships.

Like civilian-grade shields, military deflector shields consisted of both particle shields (which protected from solid objects) and ray shields (which protected against radiation and energy attacks), though of a higher quality than their civilian counterparts. However, despite the increase in quality, they were not without drawbacks. For example, particle shields had to be lowered to fire missiles, launch escape pods, or dock with other ships, exposing the vessel to damage from solid objects. When this happens, the particle shields remain down for one (1) round while they recharge.

Ray shields, on the other hand, were power-guzzlers. Most pilots kept theirs on a low power setting to defend against radiation and then increased the power to defend against enemy ships. Even then, the stress of maintaining ray shields, especially in combination with particle shields, overstressed most power cores, resulting in critical energy failures shipwide. However, those ships installed with military-grade power cores could more easily bare the stress without suffering power shortages.

The effectiveness of deflector shields was determined by their quality. Light shields, common on starfighters, could take a small number of direct hits before failing entirely, requiring the ship to reboot to restore. Medium shields had more longevity and were common on light freighters and important shuttles. Heavy shields not only lasted long, but they also could take an immense beating before failing; these were common on capital-class ships, which had the necessary power cores to bare such a burden.

LEGALITY
Restricted. While not outright illegal, the Sith Empire restricted the use of military-grade shield generators to prevent commercial and private vessels from being able to stand up to its own starships. Only ships with proper clearance from the Imperial government were permitted to use military-grade shielding, though smugglers and other criminals installed them anyways.

INTENT
To create a shielding upgrade which explains how deflector shields actually work.

ADVANCED TECH
YES. Military shield projectors are hard to come by and require military-grade power cores to even operate on a ship. A tech plot which increase incrementally, base on the quality of the projector, is required to obtain one: 1-2 thread for Light, 2-3 threads for Medium, and 3-4 threads for Heavy.

As their names might suggest, military-grade power cores are equipped to most military vessels in order to generate the considerable amount of power necessary to successfully operate the numerous high-end systems used by most military-grade ships. They do so by making use of a hypermatter annihilator, which allows for the generation of a significantly superior volume of power in comparison to civil-grade power cores.

Military-grade cores can also be installed on non-military vessels as a ship-upgrade. While they are not necessarily required, they allow a vessel to operate systems such as enhanced navigation computers, military-grade shield projectors, tractor beams, boosted sensors, and boosted communications more comfortably; whereas ships operating on lesser generators might struggle to deal with the stress of such systems.

These power cores are particularly popular with smugglers and other criminals who might be looking to heavily customize their chosen starship. The additional power generated makes it easier for their vessels to handle the stress of their numerous modifications. In these cases, the new military-grade power core would replace the standard generator and was usually placed in the most protected hold in the ship.

LEGALITY
Legal, although performance enhancing systems are considered enhancement charges if used in the commission of a crime. Non-military-grade vessels equipped with military-grade equipment are also likely to undergo more scrutiny in spaceports on many worlds and systems.

INTENT
To create a means by which freighters and other vessels like them can be upgraded to handle more power-stressful modifications.

Borstal Defense Limited specializes in producing shipboard defensive systems for police and security forces in the mid and inner rim, and manufacturers a number of popular aftermarket weapons and shielding systems. The Borstal Heavy Cannon product line is one such system. The weapon consists of a simple but well made single barreled heavy laser cannon, which can be fitted to a variety of standardized mountings and is produced in various models compatible with numerous types of starships. Like it's sister company and friendly rival Borstal Defense, Taim and Bak produces high quality starship components, including weapons and shield arrays, which are marketed to numerous local system governments and independent consumers. Among their more distinguished products is the "Pursuer" series of quad cannons they produce, designed specifically for freighters, shuttles, guns ships, patrol boats, and other mid sized craft- although some local governments in the Rim's have adapted them for use on Planetary Defense Force corvettes- as the weapons relative bulk makes it unsuitable for Starfighters. The weapon is a proprietary integrated unit that actually consists of a pair of dual cycling medium-laser cannons that are programmed to fire in sequence, allowing each set of barrels to cool and cycle gas while the other fires. The hangar upgrade allows ship owners to increase their hangar capacity at the sacrifice of some of their cargo capacity. Whether ship captains are looking for the increased capacity to transport smaller ships for trade, or to increase the size of their security patrol, or to accommodate a growing commercial or security fleet, the upgrade can provide what is needed. This upgrade can increase the hangar capacity of a ship by 2 Starfighters or 1 light freighter, in exchange for 100 tons of cargo space, and can convert existing hangar space at a rate of 1 light freighter = 2 fighters.

Quetzalli is a Wrean female, born to the tribe of Chicomecoatl. Like most Wrean, Quetzalli was born and raised in the oceans of the planet Wrea. Thousands of years before the battle of Yavin, Wrea was invaded by the Draeden, not unlike the similar water-planet of Mon Calamari. The Wrean were a nomadic people living and traveling back and forth across the ocean floor in tribes, and thus did not have a large organized army to fend off the invaders. In order to defend their freedom, the Wrean began a campaign of guerrilla warfare against the Draeden. The Republic declined to interfere in the war, but did connect the Wrean people with the people of Mon Calamari who had similarly fended off a Draeden invasion years before. With aid from the Mon Calamari, the Wrean were able to fight the Draeden to a deadlock until the Draeden empire could no longer sustain their hold on the planet of Wrea and were forced to sign a treaty. With the war ending, many Wrean tribes returned to their nomadic lifestyles or began to use their connections with the peoples of Mon Calamari to advance their civilization and build large, permanent cities and even star ports. A few of the Wrean tribes who had played a heavy part in the war against the Draeden continued to train their people to be keen warriors. Over the generations, this warrior culture became entwined in the heritage of these tribes and was continuously passed down. They were not war mongers like the Mandolorians were perceived to be by many, but they were fierce in combat. The Chicomecoatl tribe was one such tribe. Because of this, Quetzalli was raised in a tribe where combat and warfare training was a right of passage for all young Wreans.

Quetzalli was born into a galaxy largely under the control of the First Galactic Empire. However, due to Wrea's location beyond the outer rim and outside the asteroid belt known as the smuggler's run, the planet could be considered difficult to get to, and thus was spared any significant Imperial interference. The Wrean people, likely due to their nomadic background, placed a great amount of value in exploration and experiencing new cultures and places. Many young Wreans ventured out into the galaxy before the era of the clone wars. As the galaxy erupted into conflict, first during the clone wars and then during the conquest and eventual rule of the Empire, most Wreans retreated back to their home world so as not to become involved in any of the conflict. A select few, though, still ventured out into the stars in search of adventure.

After the Empire fell, Quetzalli thought that perhaps peace might once again reign across the galaxy like it had for a short time long before she was born, and she might be able to explore the inner galaxy. She got herself a freighter and started taking shipping jobs to make money and explore the outer rim. Some of these jobs were legitimate, others were not, and slowly but surely Quetzalli began to build a reputation as a decent smuggler. Her illegal activities began to increase in number, as they were more profitable than the legal ones. But it didn't take long for new powers to rise to fill the void left by the Empire's demise. First the New Republic stepped onto the stage. Quetzalli was uncomfortable with this new government, as their main goal seemed to be to bring law and order to as much of the galaxy as it could. Perhaps it was law and order motivated by true justice, but for someone who found their calling skirting the edge of the law like herself, the idea of this Republic spreading across the galaxy was a rather uncomfortable prospect. Though she likely could have found work in the New Republic seeing as some of her early jobs were actually for the budding Republic worlds, Quetzalli instead found much less-legal work as a gun-runner for various arms dealers across the galaxy. Surprisingly, despite the fact that 'peace' had apparently arrived in the galaxy, there was a huge demand for weapons on the black market.

Quetzalli learned through whispers that most of the weaponry and military supplies being gathered and sold off were being sold to a group calling themselves the First Order. This meant nothing to her as she was unfamiliar with the group. But then, the day came that the First Order revealed itself to the galaxy. A large fleet of star destroyers, an endless army of storm troopers, and rumors of dark figures who ruled the Order with laser swords of pure crimson scared Quetzalli into thinking that she had aided in the construction of a new empire. She ceased her gun-running and tried to lay low as the Order ambushed the galaxy.

When the Hosnian Cataclysm occurred, Quetzalli made a run for the outer rim to try and get as far from the fighting as possible. She hoped that she would be able to reignite her smuggling career upon returning to the outer rim, but she quickly found that the criminal underworld of the rim had become dominated by large crime syndicates like the Hutts. Quetzalli quickly grew weary of turning over all of her profit by way of tribute to the syndicates, and so, she stopped working with them all together.

As an independent smuggler, Quetzalli believed that she could gain business by offering competitively lower prices for her services than the syndicates. At first her strategy seemed to be succeeding, but the tides quickly turned. It seemed as though all work in the outer rim disappeared for her. No one would work with her for fear of drawing the ire of the syndicates. Quetzalli didn't know which she should fear more, the prospect of being destitute, or the prospect of syndicate retribution coming down on her. The syndicates were not appreciative of competitive business strategy.

For a time, Quetzalli lived in fear. Fear of a bounty being placed on her head. Fear of syndicate assassins around every corner. Fear of not even having the money to refuel her ship. Thoughts of running back home to Wrea danced about her head. But in the end, her fear turned to anger. She was a proud warrior, not some slimy piece of filth too fearful to venture out into the light of day! She would not live this way, and she would not go running to her ancestral home with her tail tucked between her legs. Quetzalli began gathering intel from anywhere she could. Mostly old contacts from her gun-running days. She began to lie, cheat and steal, snaking scores from under syndicate-loyal thieves and smugglers for her own profit. She even gunned down several syndicate enforcers who managed to track her down. Quetzalli became a ghost, flitting about the outer rim from one score to the next. She had become a pirate in everything but name, and she found that she liked it.

She is the type of person who believes that anything worth doing could lead to a fight, but she is confident in her ability to handle most conflicts that might arise. One could almost say that she enjoys the conflicts that arise in the activities that she partakes in. From her combat and military training in her youth, to her life as a smuggler, gun runner, and pirate, Quetzalli has grown used to conflict and living life on the edge. She has even come to enjoy such a life.

Quetzalli is not quick to trust anyone, and she views most people as potential enemies, or something of the like (not uncommon for smugglers and criminals) but once she does begin to trust a person or persons, she can be a valuable ally. Quick to jump to the defense of her allies, Quetzalli is more than happy to go into battle to defend those she deems friends and their assets.

Quetzalli is not force-sensitive, but she does benefit from some traits unique to the Wrean race.

Wreans have a natural athletic build, a wiry physical strength and dense skin that imparts unto them an inborn resilience toward cold temperatures and high-pressure environments. Due to their evolution at ocean floors, Wreans have very acute hearing, extending into infrasound, and have eyesight making them capable of seeing extremely well with very scarce light. As an amphibious aquatic species, Wreans also possessed compact lungs, enabling them to extract oxygen through gaseous or liquid mediums. As a ocean-dwelling species, Wreans can breathe in both salt and fresh water, are superb swimmers with extractable “webbings” between the digits of their fingers and toes.

Due to their adaptation to humid and aquatic environment, Wreans have a natural intolerance toward extended periods within hot and dry environments. Prolonged exposure even induces detrimental physical decay, causing their skin to painfully crack and at its worst, can cause them to rapidly dehydrate. Extremely bright lights or piercing sounds also affect Wreans more intensely than most other Near-Humans, if caught by surprise.

Quetzalli was trained from her youth in various forms of basic combat including hand-to-hand, melee weapons and sharpshooting. Her years spent as a smuggler and a criminal have led to her becoming somewhat adept with a blaster pistol and the quick-draw style of gun fight.

Her years spent as a smuggler led to Quetzalli becoming a skilled pilot, as well as a highly skilled navigator. She possesses especially good knowledge of the outer rim and the various 'navigational anomalies' that criminals like to take advantage of such as the Rishi Maze and the Smuggler's Run asteroid belt as well as various others.
