A single BX commando at the height of the clone wars were renowned for their effectiveness in combat. Aside from the IG-100 magna guards, the BX models were used to guard VIPs, assassinate enemy officials and sabotage key targets to name a few. It was this skillset that had allowed N4-X4 to infiltrate Fortress Vader under the nose of Darth Tempest and her so-called Sith, download its archives and exfiltrate leaving everyone none-the-wiser.

The contents of the archives were coded individually and could take literally lifetimes for the BX commando droid to decipher on their own. However they had some luck and chose a familiar subject to decrypt. The Klegger Corp Mining Facility and its secrets opened to reveal detailed files on the mining operations there. But more than that. The data it contained clearly indiciated there were droid manufacturing capabilities hidden beneath the surface. Furthermore there were Confederacy of Independent Systems markings and terms used in frequency.

After discovering this information the droid made a tactical choice and reached out to the occupiers of the molten planet. Naxa would be hard pressed to keep the facility a secret in the long run since it was practically next door to the dark side nexus. But rather than see it as an obstacle, the hunter calculated an opportunity. If production could be restored then a portion of machines produced could be put to use for the Sith while the rest were sent on key missions for N4-X4's own ends.

N4-X4 was a capable BX commando droid with a long track record but there was only so much the war machine could do alone. The reasons that they wanted to acquire the alleged "mining facility" were the same reasons it was dangerous. The structure may have continued operations in the years after the Clone Wars but it was largely forgotten and not mentioned anywhere publicly. N4-X4 had a map of the facility's interior but that did not mean it had remained the same over the decades. It also meant there were likely scores of battle droids, maybe even hundreds of all makes and models capable of defending the building. Caution was warranted.

The droid drew closer to the facility behind the controls of their patrol craft, the Revenant Aiwha . Their photoreceptors turned to look at their dashboard which indicated several approaching threats. It was likely N4-X4 had triggered a proximity protocol of some sort since two vulture droids, previously walking on their "legs", lifted off a pair of landing pads and darted out from an obsidian canyon. They quickly began to close the distance with the contractor's ship and began to attempt missile lock. The droid tried to swerve and avoid the lock attempt and use the lancer class patrol craft's modified maneuverability to its advantage. They would need to deal with these two hostiles and began to have the dorsal mounted triple-barrel light laser cannon turret begin to face its aft, anticipating the vulture droids would quickly be on their tail.

So far, Mustafar was terrible. She'd been sent here as part of her...training? Learning opportunity? To die? she wasn't all that sure, but the blond found herself here whether she liked the planet or not. Her trademark hood was pulled over her eerie grey eyes. The rest of her armor dark against the even darker sky. What made her able to stand outside was a simple mask, filtering in the hot air into something more acceptable for her body.

They had a job to do. An alliance to investigate a lead to a droid factory. Her partner was someone she'd yet to meet and their temporary companion was also a secret. This informant had information that the Sith wanted, and in return, the Sith would give them droids.

"I guess our friend finally arrived," she said to her companion, the first words she'd ever spoke to him as they stood. Kreia saw the vulture droids first, flying into the sky. When she saw the ship, she sighed. It would be amusing if they didn't need the information from the pilot. Raising her left hand, a boulder, about the size of a womp rat lifted into the air. With excellent control, the Echani dipped it into a river of flowing lava before slinging it at the nearest droid. "Think that got it's attention?" She laughed.

Mustafar was a shithole, Caerllion was sure of that. The planet was covered with so much lava that few plants could grow there. It was a stark contrast from the green world that was his homeworld. The Annfyn couldn’t believe that there were people that could live in this place.

Even less the fact that someone would like to meet there to discuss about a droid factory.

The Annfyn was dressed in his armor, while waiting next to an Acolyte. She couldn’t see his face, due to the helmet covering it. Caerllion preferred this way, not wanting to have his face connected to the Sith Order. It was better if he maintained his connection to them as a secret. This way he could work without being disturbed.

He saw the ship of their partner being hunted by a pair of vulture droids. The Acolyte that was with him had a fast thinking and used a rock to attract their attention. “Good job.” he said, using this moment to evaluate the girl’s abilities. “Now they have an opening to deal with them.

Like a medieval catapult hurling a flaming payload, the acoltye's substancial focus coupled with their inginuity saw the burning orb of rock arc into the sky. It was an unexpected method of anti-air defense. Both of the vulture droids were focused on chasing the enemy in front of them that the lead one barely avoided the telekinetically thrown object only for the droid fighter behind it to take the impact.

The turret onboard the Revenant Aiwha had made its rotation to the rear by now and opened up on the remaining droid fighter. Rapid laser fire from the triple barrel turret created an almost constant stream of red energy firing at the automated starfighter. Without shields the direct hits from the lancer class persuit craft would send the enemy ship falling towards Mustafar.

No further aerial contacts showed themselves to N4-X4 and they circled one last time before coming in for a landing. The ship landed not far away from where the Sith acolyte and champion stood. A series of taps made sure the ship's navicomputer and other records were wiped with the important data residing in N4-X4's own processors. Everything else was hidden away in caches across the galaxy but today the mining facility might become on such hiding place. It would be important for the commando droid to assess security concerns going forward.

Exiting the ship, the ramp closed behind the droid as they approached the dark siders with its straight posture and dark scatterweave coating its body, giving the droid's exterior an almost vanta-black appearance. Despite this, the machine felt no discomfort in the heat of the volcanic environment nor did it need to worry about poisonous gases or starvation from a lack of substantial sustenance.

"There appear to be no further exterior defenses. Shall we proceed?" It's deep vocabulator asked the pair, brandishing a recently acquired shatterbeam rifle. The weapon was far from new but it packed a bigger punch than the usual sonic rifle the BX commando droid carried. A RSKF-44 heavy blaster pistol substituted Naxa's standard nightstinger pistol for the same reasons.
