With a large Sigh of frustration Dakar hoped out of the bed, and over to the box with all of his weapons. Sure enough every single last one was there, neatly organized. Stang, he must have been out for awhile. Quickly he grabbed all of the weps and threw them into the appropriate place, and then proceeded to run out after the man.

Unfortunately Dakar got lost after three turns. This was part of the city that he hadn't been in before and the massive amount of soldiers that were now in the area did not help in finding the man. Before long Dakar was completely lost, and was only able to make it make to the bridges, and their blockades, hoping he would be able to orientate himself there. But it was also time for a break.

Heading over to lean against a wall, Dakar removed yet another Death Stick from one of his pockets and proceeded to light it. All the while staring at the soldiers that were patrolling the area.

The governor was sat at a desk on his own while the Advisor searched through various reports and relayed the important parts to the Governor. The doctor and four guards stood near to the door.

'So what your telling me is that its realy old and it can effect almost anyone?'

The Advisor turned to his old friend.

'Its not that it effects them its the way that it effects them. Something in the relic talks to them. It talks to everyone. It tells you your special and makes you feel like it was made for you, then it tells you that other people feel the same way. It makes you feel chosen by it and in your eyes everyone else is lying. It drives people mad. It seems there are a few who are completly immune to it for some reason.'

The governor sank into his chair.

'So what can we do? Can we quarantine it? And why hasnt this happened sooner?'

The Advisor looked pale and frustrated.

'We dont know anything more sir. I can only assume that it has a radius of power that didnt extend as far as the city so only our crews were effected or maybe it was in some kind of stasis field. All we know is that people are begining to turn all over the city.'

The doctor who had been pacing silently next to the door laughed. He had been turning something in his hand.

'Thats what you want us to think is it? You and your lies!'

The doctor turned to the nearest guard and slashed his throat with a scalple before he had time to react. A fountain of blood marked the cieling. Two of the remaining guards brought thier weapons up but the fourth guard already had his up and gunned down both of them. Stray bullets hitting the wall. A pipe burst and filled the room with white mist. The room light up with more gun fire and the Governor was hit. The Advisor ran for the nearest door followed closely by the maddened doctor. The insane guard shot after them but left through a different door.

The Advisor ran through variose hallways, all completly empty. He rounded a corner a knocked into a guard but got straight back up and ran past him. The guard turned to watch the Advisor run off down the hall and never saw the bloodied blade heading for his spine.

The Advisor had managed to lose the maddened doctor and had reached a control room. The pannles were covered in blood. The observation windows were slightly cracked but he could easily see the peaceful looking city as the sun slowly set in the distance. The Advisor knew roughly what he was doing as every personel knew how to activate the evacuation sirens in case of an attack. They had just never been prepared for one from inside the coloney. He hit the few buttons he knew to hit and a large groaning siren went off through the city. All the Advisor could do know was hope he got out before many more people turned.

The blockades always seemed quite at night. There were no transports that needed to go through and most people were asleep so there was not much need to keep a watch out. Two guards sat in the small building built on the side of the bridge watching the holonet. One of them noticed a figure running out from the norther side of the bridge.

'Hey is that one of the researchers?'

The other guard turned to look at the figure.

'Is that blood hes covered in? oh thats not good.'

He left the box and yelled towards the doctor to no responce. He began to raise his weapon when a shot from inside the box hit him in the side of the neck and he collapsed on the ground. The window to the box smashed suddenly as the doctor came through brandishing the scalple at the turned guard. A single shot to the head and the doctor was ended.

Oila was running down the tunnle. He could see the lights from the captains torch ahead. A scream echoed through the tunnle and the guard escorting the captian clutched his head. The captain raised his blaser pistol and shot the guard dead then turned to Oila and took badly aimed shots. Oila turned and ran in the other direction.

The captain faced the sith who had just ended his whole squad. He was having a hard time deciding what he was going to do next. If he fought he would certainly die but it was a sith he was against so if he ran he could die too even if the sith said he wouldnt. Suddenly a long groaning alarm went off. Distracting the sith for a moment the captain ran for the stairs. He caught a glimps of one of the cities landing pads exploding, its supports collapsing and it coming crashing to the ground. The ship currently docked on it slid off into an adjacent building and caused it to collapse too.

Rogal was confused to say the least, as the city seemed to go completely insane all around him.

He let the captain go, though he considered stopping him for information. Somehow though, he got the feelign that that wouldn't help either of them much...

He slowly made his way down the stairs, and by the time he had gotten to the bottom, he had forced the cuffs off of his wrists, which was a ray of light on an otherwise cloudy day.

Perhaps looking through the force would help him see the cause of the madness? Or battle meditation with a twist to calm an area down?

Whatever he did, he needed to either get away, or solve the problem. And he wasn't the running away type. It was after a woman had died trying to kill him that he resolved to fun dout the cause of all the madness.

Reaching out with the force, he found the direction that led to more of the madness than anywhere else. Sprinting off, he blitzed past anyone who tried to kill or attack him, towards what looked like a large, half built in places, hospital...

Lysander's HUD displayed several new red targets in front of him, behind the wall that the door went through. He removed the wall from the equation with one of the HUD's various options, and saw the men deployed behind walls of debris, with a smoke grenade having gone-off behind them. The interference was dissapating - there were at least thirty of them deployed. He opened the compartment on his left thigh and jerked out one of his pistols, and carefully, slowly peaked it out around the door. With his right hand he motioned for Jace to stay back, and he aimed with his HUD. He saw the line-of-fire for his pistol, and he aimed carefully at the head of one of the soldiers.

"Boom," he whispered, "headshot."

He fired, the bolt blasted the poor fool's head clean off, and the soldiers opened fire on the doorway. Lysander and Jace were safely out of the firing line, and the former looked toward the Jedi. He saw something then - while his HUD's see-through parameter was activated, he could see through the wall that they hadn't looked at. There was a new set of tracks behind it. He switched the parameter off, on, off to make sure, and there was no doubt about it. He moved Jace aside and checked the wall closer - he was almost literally right beside the tracks already.

"This wall isn't very thick!" He explained over the rhetoric of blaster fire, "Stand back!"

He deployed all four of his grapplers and latched them onto different points of the wall. Upper right, upper left, lower right, and lower left respectively. He tugged once the wall shook. He activated his muscular augmenter, and his body's arm muscles expanded. Again the suit adapted to the change, and he was granted enough strength. He tugged again, and this time kept pulling, and the entire wall broke apart and came down. He retracted his grapplers and stepped outside onto the tracks, signalling for Jace to follow.

His HUD's compass showed that the tracks ran from north to south, and there was a mob of sentient beings coming from the south at-speed. Lysander looked over and saw the crowd - something was wrong with them. They were lashing at each-other as they came, shouting, yelling. Bloodthirsty. He didn't know what was going on, he didn't want to know. All he knew was they were violent - and there were even more of them than the soldiers who were on the other side of the empty storeroom. He broke off in a sprint down the tracks and yelled back to the Jedi: "COME OR BE KILLED, HURRY!!!"

*Jace ran out the hole in the wall, following after the half robot only to see what appeared to be a horde of rampaging zombies charging after them. They were killing eachother in their efforts to get farther along the path and Jace wondered what could have brought such people to do such a thing. Something was terribly wrong with this planet and he immediately wanted off.*

"You don't have to tell me twice!"

*Jace dug into his cloak pocket before running and pulled out a plasma grenade, activating it and dropping it back into the pack of people. It exploded right at the front and sent dozens of them flying, on fire. Amusing for a second, but then he realized that he still had to get the hell out of there. He used the force to enhance his speed and ran to catch up with the other, who had gotten rather far ahead already, then kept a normal pace along side him.*

"What the hell is happening?"

Fi'don woke in a sudden startle, instinctively going for his pistol he kept under his pillow while he slept. Sirens were going off all around the city.

"Siren's, where ever I go there’s always sirens"

He got out of the small bed, barely big enough for his huge muscular frame and height, and walked to a small wash basin. He splashed his face with cold water, washing the last reminisce of sleep away. He figured he should find out what all the hub-ub was about. He pulled on his boots and put his jacket on, walked to the strong box and slung his Rifle, Carbine and Sack on to his shoulders and back. As he opened his door he could hear a commotion outside.

He entered the Cantina bar to find a mass brawl was taking place, people savagely attacking one another with weapons of every sort. He suddenly notice the pilot who seemed so nervy one there first meeting beating the poor barkeeps head into a bloody pulp against the bar. He looked up at Fi'don and gave out a peculiar scream then charged, running across the bar before leaping head first into Jack.

Jack caught the man mid flight and tossed him into a mirror that was hung behind the bar.

"Hey! I bought you a drink ya inbred nerf herder"

To Jacks surprise the pilot sprung again towards him, this time going face first into a huge right hand, spraying blood from his mouth and noise. Pinned to the floor by Fi'don's boot, he thrashed and scratched at the giant’s leg.

"I'LL KILL YOU! I'LL KILL YOU! I'LL KI..."

Fi'don drew his pistol and disintegrated the Pilots face then turned his attention to everyone else.

He saw there were too many to take out one on one. He could take them out with the carbine but why waste the ammo. He reached round to the back of his belt and pulled out two thermal detonators. He threw one into the centre where the main commotion was and the other near the door, giving him a clear exit. He briskly walked back to the room and listened to fire works.

The whole building seemed to judder and shake.

He emerged from the room to silence. The room was charred black, with the odd smear off blood and a few charcoal chunks of flesh dotted around what was left of the room. He exited the great hole in the wall that used to be the door onto the street and turned south towards the desert. More bodies littered the streets and he could hear screams in the distant. As he reached the outskirts of the town he found an abandoned speeder, its engines humming to its self. Throwing his pack and long arms into the passenger’s side he dived in and drove off towards the many mines hoping he'd find something or someone to get him off the planet and back to something normal, what ever that was in this ever changing universe...

What soldiers were left were lining the streets however their numbers were slowly thining and moving people around was getting more and more difficlt when the number of them trying to kill you was increasing and with people tripping over the bodies.

Their message was all the same though.

'We must evacuate to the desert untill the military forces can secure a launch pad to get survivors off world. The north does supply more cover but we cannot reach their as the norther compounds are blood baths. Any attempt to reach the northern jungle will not be stopped. If you decide to stay in your homes in the city you will not be searched for. If you wish to attempt to get to a launch pad and get away on a personal vessle you will not resieve support until we are ready to attack. If you do somehow make it to the northern jungles try and get further north to the mountains and ruins, it will be easier for you to be seen and rescued there.'

He stopeed running, when he heard the generic speech being given. Evacuate to the south? Or to the north...? Bloodbath to the north...?

Well, in that case, this was the perfect time to head that way. Off he went, northwards to the bridges and the mystery that was innately part of it. Something told him it was linked to the madness, and he definately wanted to find out.

So north he went, until he reached the bridges. Crossing over would mean passing from madness to utter insanity. He may well be in danger of falling to the madness himself, but that wasn't too great a worry to him.

He slowly walked over the bridge, his blade in hand but not lit, and the force flowing through his veins like ice and fire...

The bridge was littered with bodies. There was a single man here poinding the head of a coprse against the bridge railings. The buildings up ahead were in total darkness. The walls torn apart from gun fire and the odd explosion. Most of the windows cracked or broken and the base of the buildings smeared in blood. There were screams and gunshots echoing from between the buildings. The wall up ahead seperating the compound from the jungle seemed msotly intact but the gates were wide open.

The camp that had been made in the desert was centered around a small mine. Its towers sealed off at the base with snipers positioned in them. People ordered to stay outside and as far away from other people as they could while staying in the perimiter of the mines fences. Soldiers were paired in twos at the fences one facing in at the people seeking shelter and one facing out towards the city of madness.

What a small world they now livid in, at least as far as Dakar was concerned. There were literally piles of bodies around him as he had sat on his down on his little bench before the entire city had descended into chaos. He had merely sat on the bench with his blaster and anybody that got close got a beam through their forehead. Simple, yet highly effective.

Standing up to wipe some of the blood off him, he saw the man he was following earlier appear and walk across the bridge that he was next too. What a strange coincidence. walking over the piles of bodies that no longer had faces, Dakar made his way to the bridge and yet again attempted to follow the man.

((OOC: the worlds the same size... there's just less in it. *chuckles at his own wit*))

Rogal inhaled deeply. Sith Lord or not, this was never something he enjoyed doing. Entering a city full of carnage, death and pure insanity.

Stepping lightly, he walked slowly through the mad city, which was eerily quiet. Much to his great relief, he could see no horde of raving lunatics, trying to rip him apart, and he couldn't sense many either.

Though he could sense someone following. Odd, but he was willing to ignore that person, for now. He had the more pressing matter of not getting caught unaware.

However, on top of everything, he was looking for something, anything that could be the cause of all this. And he was willing to bet that the further north he went, the closer he got.

So northwards he continued, through the blood and carnage.

Lysander didn't answer the Jedi's question - he didn't know. All he knew was the mob behind them was getting closer and closer, and the security forces wouldn't hold them off for long once they met with the horde. Lysander stopped himself and flung an arm out to catch his unlikely companion when the came upon a sudden drop into a black hole. His HUD showed that it didn't drop down too far - and there was a tunnel down there, perfect to lose them if they could cave it in... ...and there was a door of some sort on the other end.

Lysander looked back at their savage pursuers, then back down into the pit, then back again before he ushered Jace down and waited for them to get closer. He looked at the Jedi, and then pointed to the pit.

"It isn't a long drop. Get through that tunnel, it leads to a door. I'm not sure whether it's open or not, my HUD doesn't go that far underground. Just get down there, and get clear of the tunnel. As soon as they get close enough, I'll follow you and collapse it. Get going, Jedi!"

He pushed Jace once and then drew his vibrosword again as the sound of frenzied blaster shots got fainter and fainter. The force that had been sent to capture them was being cleared out, and when they were six feet under it wouldn't take the mob long to get back on their original trail.

Just as Rogal finished crossing the bridge a door in a building nearby burst open and the Advisor ran out screaming like a mad man falling at Rogals feet. He started mumbling words of mercy. A man in a blue jump suit came out of the door slowly walking along dragging a sledge hammer behind him. In a swift move he brought it up to hold in both hands and charged at the Advisor and Rogal.

As the Jedi came close to the door it burst open. Oila was stood behind it clutching a blaster rifle.

'Your that Jedi from before. You can save me! You have to!'

He pulled the jedi into the room and started going through the rubble there and pulled out a map of the sewage pipe lines they were now in a maintenece room for. Once Lysander was in the room Oila went over to the door and made sure it was securly locked then pushed some heavy stones against it.

*Jace was very suprised to be pulled into a doorway by a very terrified man. Apparently the tunnell led to something that could resemble an exit, maybe to the mines in the desert if they were lucky. He looked back at Lysander, a little mad that he would push him in somewhere that hadn't been scouted out before hand, but they were safe down there now. He looked back at the man who was about to poop his pants.*

"Trust me, friend, we all need saving right now. The best thing we can do for now is run and find others like us."

Rogal was bemused, and slightly stunned. Here was a man that was alive, and not trying to kill him. And then, the other man decided to make his entrance. Clearly another madman, Rogal stretched a hand out, and gripped the man's throat with the force, physically holding him back, though he still fought to move onwards. With a simple gesture, the man's neck snapped, and his body fell to the floor, limp and dead.

Looking back to the scared man, he grabbed the back of his collar, and lifted him to his feet. A simple lie would put him at his ease, and probably help in the long run.

Who are you? And what are you doing here? But more importantly, do you have any idea what's going on? And no, i'm not going to kill you. Answer my questions, and i'll get you to safety.

The last part was the lie. If the man knew what Rogal wanted from him, then he would be taken with him, to help fix the mess that someone had wrought...

Oila's efforts were admirable, but he was no man for lifting such heavy objects. Lysander took over and directed him back over to start explaining his proposed plan. Lysander activated his hyper-muscles again and started moving larger rocks toward the door. As soon as it was barricaded adequately he stopped, powered-down, and retrieved his vibrosword from against the wall. He flourished it and brought it slowly back into its sheath. With a click it snapped into place and he let go of the hilt.

Lysander heard both men talking, rambling. They didn't need to move out of the city at all - they weren't putting two-and-two together. Anyone who left the city walls at that point would probably be gunned down if they even got near the refugee area out in the desert. Worse, whatever was driving these people crazy hadn't even been found yet - the people in the desert may have turned against each-other already. Lysander ran another diagnostic and sat down on one of the larger stones he'd just placed. Most systems were green - the simulated muscle fibers were a little stressed, but that was to be expected. Never had they been expanded and retracted in such rapid repitition, but thankfully they weren't damaged.

His cardio-vascular system was also normal, to his surprise. All the muscle activity should've required more oxygen. Then he realized - red blood cells weren't the only miniature things in his body that delivered needed oxygen to the muscles and other systems. The injections that covered regeneration also came with another set - there were tiny machines in his body that helped with the regenerative capabilities, and did automatic repairs to the various inner-prosthetics. That way all parts of his body - cybernetic or organic - had the same regenerative characteristics.

Why didn't they put any of those things in my brain, he thought to himself, in regard to the fragility of his head's various inner workings. Probably no way to safely do it - what with all the optical and mental implants the butchers had done. Jedi Hunter? Heh, Jedi had the Force... ...and the scientists never installed their vaunted 'Force Suppressor Field' gadget. It made Lysander think - Bounty Hunting, Jedi Hunting, Sith Slaughtering... ...was there still any greater purpose in life for a man like him?

No time for such philosophical soul-searching, he concluded. He stood and held out his left hand. The same camerae that worked to make his adaptive camouflage system so 'adaptive' could also display holographic images (despite the fact that they were practically invisible beneath his clear outer shell). He showed them a map that his internal network had cobbled together judging from the terrain and the city itself as far as he'd seen it.

"The tracks run north to south, this tunnel follows the tracks north for a time. Eventually, however, it cuts off to the right and connects with one of the various branches of the mines in the desert. If we don't take that passage, we'll probably come out somewhere around the city's north exit toward the jungle. If we're going to meet up with the surviving refugees, we'll need to get to that camp through the mining tunnels. However, they could all already be... ...zombies, for lack of a better word. Furthermore, the guard teams are going to assume that anyone who comes from the city toward the camp is going to be one of those savages, anyway. I think if we're going to stop this nonsense and stand any chance at all we're going to have to find out what's causing all this, and see if there's any way to stop it. From what we've seen, the people have the same motor functions, hell they can even still talk... ...they've just been driven mad against one-another."

His eyes shifted over to Oila, questioningly.

"Do you know anything?" He queried, failing to offer a very friendly tone in his cyber-fied voice (his visor was still covering his face, thus making his speech sound that much more mechanical through its comm, to be fair).

"No... you are wrong."

*Jace had closed his eyes and was reaching out through the force as Lysander spoke about everyone above them being savages by now. He needed to find out if that was true or not. Those who had been corrupted had a blatantly messed up force signature for one reason or another, which led Jace to believe that what was causing this whole mess was an artifact of powerful force potential. But he could sense two beings still alive and well, the darkness that he had sensed before was one of them, the other appeared to be the man who was following him. Those were the only two though, and they were near where he had started, at the river.

Odds were, however, that the rampage would be heading to the south with the rest of the people. The needed to kill, and the most people to kill were going that way. It would not make sense for them to stay in the north for them. They seemed to be at least semi-intelligent still, and surely they realized that there was little left for them on this section of the planet.*

"There are still two surviving people that I can sense. One seems to be a Sith, the other a merc. They are at the river and heading north. We should do the same. Those things will undoubtedly make their way south to get more people to attack, and we need to be farther away from them. You are right in thinking we should find the source of this, though, and I feel that it is in the north as well. All directions point there in my opinion."

OOC: only post im going to make for a while today im afraid people

The Advisor shifted nevrously under the mans shadow, he had just seen him kill another man withought being near him. He realy did hope this one did not turn.

'L..Look all i know is it was old, real old. And its powerful. Thats all any of us knew. Thats why we wanted to bring it here. To find out what it w..ass. We didn't know this would happen!. The artifact, the plaque, it speaks to people apparantly, I dont know, We have to get out of here now!.'

Oila sat in the room. The two men looked powerful and now he wasn't sure what to do. If one of them turned what chance did he have?

'Everyone knows something. Its always something different too. One week its green stuff in the water the next its blue. The compound across the river is up to no good. Researching on people. But no one ever talks about it because thats when you start to get woken up in the night by the sound of your door breaking. There were rumours of some artifact, a plaque, that turned research who tried to retrieve it into nervous wrecks. Most of the time only one man would make it back alive.'

He shifted again at the sight of his first night watch in his mind. He had refused to take part but he was stll forced to watch those people dragged off to the research centers.
