Homosexuality is a mental illness, as far as I am concerned.

A mental illness defines a condition which negatively impacts a person's ability to function in day to day life. The gender a person is attracted to has absolutely no bearing on their behavior or psychological functioning. Rather, it is the bigoted and backwards attitudes of others which cause mental damage, as opposed to the orientation.

"Traditional values" may have been morally acceptable hundreds of years ago, but we as society have evolved to understand, at least more so, what is ultimately harmful and what is not. It's 2016, it's time to grow up.

I was wondering if the culture Aleksandr has been around has perhaps influenced his view, while I know plenty of wonderful Russian people, this kind of attitude is definitely prevalent and perpetuated there.

As for Putin, there's nothing wrong with him. Gay rights should be limited, and so far the only "Warmongering" he has done has been in Russian self-defense.

Putin's benefits outweigh any negatives. Democracy is not a good form of government anyway.

But Anyways, I would have to say that this is for a selfish reason. I need to do this.

2 years ago, I saw a video making fun of people against gay marriage, and in the comment section, I saw a comment by a man who went by the name of Robert Read.

He wrote, "Homosexuals produce a variety of STD's. I don't like STD's, I don't like homosexuals."

I replied, "So no straight people have STD's? Huh, wierd."

We talked for a bit, and than he finally said, "You can go fuck yourself ******. I don't care if you and your family get murdered by isis," And a shit ton of other vile crap.

We hammered it out. I kept a cool, collected head. I kept telling him I was straight, that gays were human beings like him, that they didn't deserve to be murdered by the millions, which is what he said was good. He called the murder of gays in the middle east and in africa... Progress.

He insulted me.

He threatened me.

He told me he thought I committed beastiality.

He told me I was a pedophile, even though I was 15.

He called my mother things I won't even say.

And than, he insulted my country. And I yelled at him. I screamed at him. How dare he insult america. Where did he live? Oh right, the middle of rural ireland! He put shame to that country, and he, quote, called america "The most racist an in debt country in the world."

He even said that he was going to kill me. And my family. He not only insulted my country, but he threatened my now 12 year old brother. His value as a human being became forfeit after that in my eyes.

And I realized what I did when I continued to yell at him.

I had stooped to his level. The level of a hateful, inbred bigotive monster, who only existed to ruin the lives of other people. He had put people in the hospital before.

I'm going to do this now because I know for a fact that I am not like him. He called gays subhuman? He should've tried looking in his cracked mirror in that hovel of his, because anyone with that mindset could never afford a well paying job.

I'm going to show the world just how screwed up the human race is. And when I'm done, I'll have exposed homophobes and fascists for what they are: broken shells of formerly good people.

Well first of all mate, I think you need to develop some thicker skin and look at it from the point of view that they are simply ill-educated or subtly brainwashed. Hating them is understandable for sure, but exacting that hate and fighting fire with fire solves nothing. You put the fire out, and you put it out with some that eases the earth beneath.

Compassion is the only way to do this shit right.
