He was glad that Reiel had some medical knowledge because despite having using the Force in a subtle way before, he wasn’t really looking forward to the idea of using it to try and heal himself. Healing trances were a good option for Jedi who were lightly injured but it was a time-consuming process that required him to meditate to the point that he didn’t had much interaction with the outside world.
Considering they had literally just been betrayed, Carrick wasn’t looking forward to relaxing like that until he was aboard a locked armored ship. Preferably also in orbit of an entirely different planet at that but he would settle for the spaceport at worst. Bacta spray and a cute nurse was all he needed for right now.
He eyed Reiel as she fussed over him and he made a mental note to mention the ‘cute nurse’ comment to her when she least expected it. If he said it now? Well she was distracted enough he likely wouldn’t have reacted at all if he said it now so he left it. Instead he chuckled a little bit and waved a hand.
“Hey… it’s fine, alright?” he assured her with a wide grin, “I used to get shot at all the time in my last job. This time one hit and that’s alright. I’m gonna be fine – you can handle me being a little scarred up can’t you?”
Teasing her wasn’t really for the fun of it so much as it was to try and distract her from what they had done, from the realities of it all. He started, gingerly, to shuck his top off of himself so that she would properly administer the bandages. Wincing in pain at the parts that required him to actually move his shoulder, he grimaced slightly before grinning.
“Ah hell he still only counts as one – he wasn’t hard to put down, just a karker about it.” He reasoned before winking at her, “So I guess you get that favor… command as it were. What you going to make me do then my Mando?”
