He was glad that Reiel had some medical knowledge because despite having using the Force in a subtle way before, he wasn’t really looking forward to the idea of using it to try and heal himself. Healing trances were a good option for Jedi who were lightly injured but it was a time-consuming process that required him to meditate to the point that he didn’t had much interaction with the outside world.

Considering they had literally just been betrayed, Carrick wasn’t looking forward to relaxing like that until he was aboard a locked armored ship. Preferably also in orbit of an entirely different planet at that but he would settle for the spaceport at worst. Bacta spray and a cute nurse was all he needed for right now.

He eyed Reiel as she fussed over him and he made a mental note to mention the ‘cute nurse’ comment to her when she least expected it. If he said it now? Well she was distracted enough he likely wouldn’t have reacted at all if he said it now so he left it. Instead he chuckled a little bit and waved a hand.

“Hey… it’s fine, alright?”
he assured her with a wide grin, “I used to get shot at all the time in my last job. This time one hit and that’s alright. I’m gonna be fine – you can handle me being a little scarred up can’t you?”

Teasing her wasn’t really for the fun of it so much as it was to try and distract her from what they had done, from the realities of it all. He started, gingerly, to shuck his top off of himself so that she would properly administer the bandages. Wincing in pain at the parts that required him to actually move his shoulder, he grimaced slightly before grinning.

“Ah hell he still only counts as one – he wasn’t hard to put down, just a karker about it.”
He reasoned before winking at her, “So I guess you get that favor… command as it were. What you going to make me do then my Mando?”

Despite her worry and the lingering anger directed at herself, Reiel found herself smiling and taking comfort at Carrick's reassurance. His wound was far from being life-threatening, but she couldn't trust herself to feel fine just yet because he was still in pain. At least he did not take offence to her earlier rudeness and was back to teasing her like the usual. She ducked her helmeted head and bit her lip, chuckling at the silly question.

A little scarred up, huh... she wondered how he would react if he ever saw her own collection. The scars on her arms and legs, displayed when she was clad in an oversized shirt the last time they were together back in her buir's ship was one thing. But the ones on her torso, her back?

"Scars are hot, mesh'la," she teased him back, chucking him on the chin with a finger. "And if this one," she pointed at the burn on his shoulder "ever does scar, then I guess you've just ramped up your... hotness level. Aw, my poor heart..."

The smile on Reiel's face broadened when Carrick began to shed his top off. Her hands itched to reach out to him, to ease the pained grimace off of his face with a gentle touch. But she kept herself still, knowing that she would only slow the process by doing so. Once the top was off, she quickly went back to work. The small Mandalorian chewed on her lower lip, determined to keep her gaze only on his shoulder as she began to bandage him up.

Was he actually giving the win to her this easy? His reasoning was a sound one, and if he insisted then she won't raise any objections. It was Carrick's call, after all, and she was more than glad to humor his inquiry as to what she would make him do.

Wrapping his injured shoulder with the bandage, Reiel's gaze was fixed on what she was doing but her mind was busy scratching things out of the mental list she had come up with earlier during the shootout. It ranged from silly to serious stuff, but she ultimately decided on something that wasn't even on the list. With the way things turned out in this raid, the small Mando now only wanted one thing from and for her sorcerer.

"For starters, I want you to book a room at a hotel," she told him, voice low as she stood between his legs. Fingers brushed against his collarbone, then traced down his chest with a feather-like touch. "Then wear the blindfold I'll give you. Because..."

Her fingers stopped at his stomach, feeling the muscles there contract at her touch. Reiel grinned wickedly at her sorcerer as she leaned forward, beskar lightly touching his cheek when she finished in a whisper,

"...after all that's happened today, the two of us deserve a sweet, decent shuteye, don't you think? Yeah, that's right – we're gonna spend the rest of the day all cuddled up and asleep. Best way to rest that injured shoulder, don't you think?"

Scars were hot? Well that was something he had kind of expected from the Mandalorian warrior but it was nice to know that she wasn't going to be having any issues with it if he had some of his own. He doubted he would have more than her even if he did have one from back during his training as a Padawan that had a little bit of history behind it. A blaster shot to the shoulder was going to give him a much better story for the scar than the Padawan scar story though.

Though he didn't think much more on it as he allowed her to properly bandage the whole thing up a bit better. Bacta would be a good idea later but for now what had been done was likely enough to be getting on with. It was enough to make him happy enough to be moving around again at least.

Less pain from it than he was expecting, honestly.

His eyebrows both raised when she told him that she wanted him to book a room at a hotel. With the blindfold as well? Carrick would be lying if he were to say he didn't like where the conversation seemed to be going but he was caught entirely off guard when she started touching him as well. Was this... was his Mando trying to say what he thought she was saying? His cheeks started to heat up at the idea alone, not even mentioning the touch.

Of course when she whispered to him and revealed her deception? He groaned loudly and hung his head backward with a laugh.

"You... you got me."
he admitted with a bright laugh, his cheeks still red, "I thought you were going... well I thought you were going in a different direction with that whole... thing..."

He coughed, his cheeks brighter red than ever before.

"WELL... best I start booking that room then."

The sound of Carrick's laughter washed away the remnants of Reiel's anger and her smile widened, her face heating up at how good hearing him laugh made her feel. With the raid over and the threats to their safety now practically nonexistent she finally allowed herself to laugh with him, her gaze somewhat greedy as she took in his bright smile and the lovely blush on his cheeks. Kriff, he really was gorgeous.

Still, she considered his looks as just an added bonus to the way he treated her and his overall persona. Carrick was a dangerous man, and she wasn't even thinking about his capabilities as a warrior and his sharp wit.

Reiel noticed her hand still on his stomach and her face exploded in a brilliant shade of red. She wanted to keep her hand there, but felt that it might be too inappropriate ans that he might feel awkward about it. But his words and the blush on his face (she actually managed to do that to him!) told her otherwise. The small Mandalorian, however, chose to remove her hand, but still unable to stop herself from letting her fingers trail over his chest as she tugged on his top to help him put the article of clothing back on.

"Going in a different direction, huh?" she mused, grin full of teasing and mischief as she peered at him through her helmet's visor. "And here I was, convinced that I was the pervy one between the two of us..."

She smothered a giggle from escaping her, aware that some of their uncorrupted SWAT team still lingered in the kitchen while the others rounded the corrupt ones to be held in the local authority's custody – or wherever the hell those bastards would be detained, she didn't care. If she could have her way with them, they'd all be frozen in carbonite.

"Can't blame me for trying to tease you, my sorcerer. Not when you've made my face beet red for, like, a hundred times already."

Reiel then cupped Carrick's cheeks with her still-bare hands before lightly pressing his forehead to her helmet's.

"Yeah, you best start doing that once we're done cleaning up here" she told him before reluctantly pulling herself away from him. Putting her gloves back on, she gave Carrick another wicked grin. "I'll just grab some of my things... just tell me the name of the hotel and I'll be there, future Senator." [/cbox]

Force damn his mind wandering to places he ought to know better than to linger – his mind was supposed to be a place where he maintained full control but it had wandered. She had caused his mind to drift and he couldn’t find it in himself to begrudge her that. It seemed she was just that distracting to him even when she wasn’t trying to be and that was positively frightening on some level.

It should have been frightening that she was able to reduce his mental shielding and control to something so much less but he knew she didn’t mean it. She didn’t know the effect she had on him, not really.

“Well maybe you’re a corrupting influence?”
he teased her back with a smirk, “Maybe that’s just how you play with your food, hey Mando?”

He might have let his mind wander but he wasn’t so lost as to be unable to make another teasing remark. Carrick wasn’t about to just roll over just because she made him blush for assuming things about what she wanted to do. The idea of spending time with her in a hotel room in a more… wholesome way was something he hadn’t really thought about before.

It was a nice thought though.

He had never been the kind of person to focus on such wholesome activities in the past but he was ready to try them with Reiel. What that said about his past or his budding relationship with the Mandalorian warrior he wasn’t quite sure.

“I’ll keep a bottle chilling for you.”
He promised her with a grin as he started to move about a bit more, heading for the ex-filtration point where more of the police were waiting, “Do me a favour Reiel…”

Leaning over, he kissed the forehead of her helmet.

“Don’t keep me waiting.”
