Darkness. The sun gave light, the sun was hot, so light was warm. Darkness, though, darkness was the absent of light, the empty space between the stars, cold and cruel. It’s…too dark…I…can’t see…

The metal was cold, so cold even through her clothing. Behind and beneath her hummed the plant’s generator, thrumming around it were the bolts of blasters, but all Leh’Min heard was the static of a lifeless vent, the silence of a dead cave.
Then came the voice of Lin Queonkri.

Lemon. Get out of here, Lemon…
She heard him so close, so far away, an echo in her head that reminded her of someone else, someone older.
I can’t, Lin…I…can’t move…I'm sorry...
“Sorry, Master…I can’t…get up…”
Why should she? She had already gotten out, already abandoned her fellow Padawan and partner, and why? Not to save a life. No...to take it...just as you were made to.

Despite her best efforts, what few there were, Lem had failed Lin, failed everyone. She felt his capture, feared the worst, and resigned to lie in an empty vent with her face to the dust.

In those senseless particles, she could see her master, see her father, her mother, Nan, Lin, and all of them were in the darkness right with her, silent and lifeless.

“I can’t leave the cave yet, m-master…pl-please don’t make me leave!” She fought against it, gave her best, but in the end the tears that filled Leh'Min'Ayd's eyes suddenly spilled, warm rivulets running down cheeks to soak the cold dust. “P-Papa!”

Be careful what you wish for. Quin was quite aware of that now. When he woke up on an operating table in what looked to be a medical bay, all alone, he knew that those droids had done something to make him unconscious. Or else he would have remembered where he had been taken, right? He didn’t feel any pain on his head, so it couldn’t have been blunt force. Maybe it was some kind of gas?

However, thinking of how they’d knocked him out was only to distract himself from what they’d really done afterwards. He didn’t feel different, he felt completely fine, as a matter of fact. And that was what terrified him.

How long have I been here for? Judging from the alarms still going off, not long, it seemed. Getting out of bed, he found his lightsaber hilt resting on the metal tray next to him. That’s… odd.

He picked it up gingerly, waiting to see if anything would happen, but nothing did. He tried pulling over a glass of water with the Force, and that worked too. As he put it down, he couldn’t help thinking that it was as if nothing had even happened.

But then a thought occurred to him. Where was Lemon? He looked around, but he was completely alone. She wasn’t here. He tried reaching out with his mind. Lemon? Are you there? Can you hear me?

He got out of bed, peering around some corners before he approached a door. It was unlocked. When he opened it, he saw signs that matched the font of those in the factory, and when he listened closely, he could still hear machinery in the background. So they hadn’t taken him away after all, and that probably meant Lemon was still here. They could still find a way to shut this place down and get out, right? He had to believe that they could. For now, he would wait for a potential response from his friend, and try to figure out where he was and how they could meet up again.

Lemon opened her eyes, having closed them to the void, but a voice opened them.
Lemon? Are you there? Can you hear me?

I’m here, Lin…but I’m scared…too scared…to get up…
It was a shameful thing to admit, a weak thing, and a weak Jedi was one step away from becoming a fallen Jedi.

If you fall, you die, Master had once promised after pointing down the wall of rock that their hands had clung too.
Then like now, Lem was stuck in that miserable cave, back with her master.

Where are you, Lin? Maybe he was scared too, maybe he needed her help, but she couldn’t really sense anything further than herself, and right now Leh’Min’Ayd wasn’t much further than the dirt on the wall of a vent or a cave.

Lin…what if…what if I fall? What if I fall, Lin?

Quin was more than relieved to have gotten a response, but even in his head, Lemon sounded… distressed. Scared. She admitted it herself, and it made Quin think twice about their current situation too. What if we both fall? What then?

Seeds of doubt planted themselves in his mind as he struggled to come up with an answer. He knew he didn’t have one, and it was tempting to just let go. If they were going to fall, nothing was going to stop it. But they couldn’t. He couldn’t let himself think that way. They would hold on, and they would climb up out of here to see the stars again. That was what Master Mirror would do, right? And what they’d done on that asteroid.

Lemon, you have to trust me on this, okay? Quin kept his thoughts soft, hoping for his friend to quiet her mind a little in order to hear him. I know you’re scared— I am too. But we are Jedi. And Jedi don’t let fear win. We won’t fall because we have each other, and we both have the Force on our side. Trust it.

He was trying to convince her as much as he was trying to convince himself, yet somehow it was working on his end. Already he felt calmer, more steady, and he stepped out into the dark hallway again to see where he was. There was a sign at the side of the door, so small he might have missed it if he hadn’t been looking, but it displayed a map of the place with various fire exits in the event of an emergency. In his case, it displayed him at the east side of the building, a ways off from the generator room, but reachable nonetheless.

Okay. I’m at the medical bay in the east wing. Do you think you can reach me? I think I’m going to take a walk around, do some investigating.

Scared. She shouldn’t be. She was a Jedi, or so he told her, so they both did. Her master first, told her to not be was to fall, and now Lin, telling her not to let the fear win. I…can’t…

We won’t fall because we have each other.

I…can…I can get up, Lin!

So Lem got up, feebly at first, her arms heavy as rocks and the Force some forgotten fable. Darkness surrounded her, that cave swallowing her past, and in it she saw the face of that Trandoshan. No…he might be a killer, Lem, but you are not!

I can reach you, Lin!

She tucked her datapad away after mapping the route. I’m coming.
Focused on moving forward now, always forward, Lem would transfer communications to comlink the rest of the way.
The girl could move again, her hands had a new kind of weight, and the Force was at her fingertips.

The vents offered one shortcut after the other as Lem found herself gazing down a grate. A white floor was beneath it, a computer console that she did not want to land on, and a pair of feet.
The grill slid away and the girl slipped through to land beside the boy.

“Hey, Lin…” There were no tears in her eyes, just her eyes into his, and beneath them a smile. Lem stepped forward and pulled Lin into a hug. “Thank you.”

Over his shoulder she spotted that computer again, missed it the first time. “Turn around. See that?” Two words: ‘Subject H8’.
Had to be a patient record, Lem having missed something else. Beside the computer there was a holorecorder.

Lemon seemed to be feeling better now, and Quin was glad for that. Both of them would need to keep their wits together for the rest of the mission, and he was relieved that they were both on the same page— or in the same room— again.

His friend wrapped him in a hug, and Quin returned it just as affectionately. Lemon’s arms were so much warmer than the droid’s, and for a moment he forgot the situation they were in.

“I’m just glad you got away in time,” he responded with a smile, pulling away. Just as he finished, Lemon pointed out something behind him, and he turned around to look, seeing a subject name and a holorecorder.

“I have a bad feeling about this,” he said, walking over to look. The holorecorder’s light was blinking, indicating that it was on, and once he realized it he didn’t waste any time before crushing it with the Force.

“How long have they been watching?” Panic crept into his voice. The terror from before was starting to return. Was he the subject? Was that recording the reason why they’d left him alone? What had they done?

Without thinking, he grabbed the recorder with his hand and threw it across the room with all his might, sending it and a cabinet-full of vials, beakers, and needles crashing to the ground. Wincing at the noise, he backed away from the computer, not wanting to be anywhere near that device or anything else in here. He just wanted to leave, to go back to Yavin, where he could figure out what the kark was going on.

Then he remembered that Lemon was still in here with him.

“Lemon, I- I think you should stay away from me. I woke up on that—” His finger shook as it pointed to the operating table, “and I don’t know what they did to me. What if I hurt you?”

As Lin crushed that holorecorder it was all Lem could do to keep from seeing the eyes of a dark gold droid as they were ripped out of its skull.
She blinked away, detecting the fear in her partner’s voice, like how you feel another’s pain, but smiled instead of frowned as tables turned.

“Hey hey, it’s okay, Lin!”
Lem held up her hands, taking slow steps toward her friend even as he lashed out, her curved lips unable to be swayed, unwavering. “Whatever they did to you, whatever happens, we’re in this together.”

Stepped closer. I’m here, Lin, just like you were there for me. I'm here for you.
“You won’t hurt me.” She shook her head to gently disprove his fears. “You can’t.”
In Lin’s eyes, Lem saw Lin but Lem also saw Lem.
This time she would not look away from the mirror, from her master, and maybe that's why Lin's own master was called Master Mirror.
“You’re my friend, and friends don’t hurt each other.” Stepped closer. "We help each o—"

Something stopped Lem even before Lin might have. She felt something cold and dark again, like a miniature black hole popping in her heart, saw the lights flicker, and then the feeling was gone and the lights were on again.

The door opened. Lem swung her head, saw the green face of a cold Trandoshan, daggers in his smile.
“Sorry to interrupt,” interrupted the man whose name proved to be Thur Rashnik. “Time has suddenly been cut short. Looks like you're not the only brats in my building.”

Droids appeared around him, blocking the doorway. Thur stepped backward yet again, ever the theatrical, with a smiling eye that stared past Lem and zeroed in on Lin.
“Get that Jedi druk! I want him in the Nemesis Program!”

That ignited a purple blade as it burned into view and it was Lem's turn to step in front of Lin.
“If you want him..."
Leh’Min turned her left flank, made herself a skinnier target. Right hand shifted behind head, planted a purple blade beside her face, pointing toward enemy as left arm leveled beneath the blade and pointed two fingers the same way.
“Come and claim him!”
And so they came.

As Lemon stepped closer, Quin fought the urge to push her back. The panic, the fear of what he might do if she came too close, was almost too much to bear. But when he heard her voice, the one in his ears, and the one in his head, he could only make out a few words as blood roared through both. But he heard it nonetheless.

“Friends… don’t hurt each other,” he whispered back, meeting Lemon’s eyes as he struggled to calm down. As some of the fear began to wane, it turned to shame as he realized how he’d reacted like nothing more than a cornered animal. I should be better than that.

But when Quin saw the door open behind Lemon, he froze. The Trandoshan’s eyes were zeroed in on him, and whatever was behind them was something more sinister than he’d ever seen.

He snapped back into the present when Lemon’s blade came to life, and he drew his own in turn. The fear from before boiled into anger, something he’d never really experienced in a fight before. But whatever the turmoil was, it felt new, and it made him feel strong. With Lemon beside him, or in this case in front, he had a newfound confidence that this Trandoshan had met his match, and perhaps more.

”Whatever that program is, I will not be a part of it. Your experiment is over.” As the droids moved forward, their lifeless eyes flashing, Quin stretched out both hands in front to let out a concentrated Force push that knocked them back into the lizard.

Taking the opportunity to make his move, he grabbed his hilt with one hand and jumped into the air like Lemon had done before, aiming a kick for the Trandoshan’s chest as the droids were getting back up. When it landed, the businessman lost his balance and fell onto his back with a thump. Quin held the tip of his lightsaber right over his throat as he kept his foot on his chest, holding him down.

“You won’t kill me. I’m an unarmed man, Jedi whelp,” the Trandoshan hissed. Quin narrowed his eyes.

“Oh, yeah? Try me.” With that, his blade lifted to strike.

“NO!” Lem yelled, flicking her hand to drop Lin’s arm like a lever, but without jerking the hilt from his hand unless he dropped it.
She shot him a look; not of anger but of fear. For Lin. Not for Lem.

Her same hand lifted the factory’s manager above his own floor where he floated, his handler gripping him by the torso instead of the neck. She did not trust herself with the latter.

“Sicadorito! Nemesis!” The Jedi’s voice bounced around a pile of fallen droids. “All these experiments! What’s it for, huh!? How could you do this!?”

“Why ask me? Ask the vault."
Vault? What vault?
"My vision stretches only as far as a garden where people like you can roam free, with no worry about where to sleep, what to eat or drink. No, you’ll never have to get sick again.”
Thur spread his lips for that trademark Trandoshan grin.
“Your only concern will be people like me...because you will become our perfect PREY!”

Just then, Lem felt it again, that same black hole from before. N-not the cave…not this time…
The lights flickered, danced across the ceiling, before one length of the hallway was swallowed by a black void, and Leh’Min saw it.

The Trandoshan was jerked backward out the Jedi's grip, floating at the edge of light. He tried to turn around but was spun upside down.
Then his entire skeleton all but caved in on itself.

In instants, limbs twisted, joints popped in ways they should not, arms and legs snapped the wrong way.
His face split at the cheekbones, but the Trandoshan's eyes were what glued Lem’s own as they exploded from his skull.

A red blade jutted out of the shadows, severed the torso from the legs, both halves falling to the floor, made sure Thur Rashnik would never be whole again.

“Sorry to interrupt,” a lone voice spoke. “Thought I heard a kid scream.” The voice matched the build of the Human that stepped out of the dark, his outfit white as snow, but the light had no place for a creature like him.
“I’m looking for Thur Rashnik. He’s a Trando-…Oh...”

He continued speaking but Leh'Min couldn't hear him. All she saw was a man in white with a red blade, saw its rage, saw four letters, heard one word.
Sith.

Leh’Min’Ayd’s whole world went dark.
Rage against the dying light!
A bright purple light lit the world back up as it swung toward red.

Before her lightsaber hit, Lem hit an invisible wall and was swung from the floor by a hand just as unseen.
Her body hit a metal wall next, hit it hard, and she fell, her eyelids struggling to stand up.

Oops. Kayden forgave himself as he stared at two halves of a Trandoshan. Just as well. Already have one mad scientist. I don’t really need another.

He couldn’t imagine his fellow Sith surviving the laboratory with two Dr. Sawins sharing a meal. She’d go mad from the conversation.

Thur Rashnik might have made for some interesting dialogue, whether sitting across the table or strapped naked to an X, but the Sith had come for his data first and foremost.

“He would have talked, they always do, but there’s always someone else," he told everyone. Told no one. Remembered a bounty hunter.

“So,” Kayden pointed his lightsaber at the little Jedi with the purple sword. “Shall we talk?”

The Togruta girl charged him. I guess not. Kayden kept one hand on his hilt. Hmm I sense— He waved his other hand and taught the Padawan how to fly. Fear.

The girl was a mystery to solve later, someone else’s problem right now.
There was another Padawan, a boy, and the man sensed a different kind of war waging within him.

“Youngling,” Kayden lowered his sword. “Have you ever heard the tragedy of Darth Vader?”

Before the blow could land, Quin felt his arm drop. Something was stopping him from killing the Trandoshan, and just as well. It was only then that the red in his vision faded and he realized what he’d done in the heat of the moment. Horrified, he backed away from the businessman, not letting himself move as he watched the Trandoshan float. What have I done?

In a daze, he heard Lemon firing question after question to the Trandoshan, only to be answered by a riddle. Vault? No— I can’t be hearing that right. I’m not thinking straight. He must have said something else—

Red once again filled his vision, but it wasn’t him this time. When he heard the hum of a lightsaber, he knew that this was someone else entirely. Sith! He looked up, saw the Trandoshan sliced in half, and suddenly Lemon was thrown against the wall.

“LEMON!” Quin roared, running over to her before searching her for any sign of injury. She looked conscious, at least, and he put a hand on her shoulder to give her a gentle shake. “Lemon, are you alright?”

Then he heard that same voice speak, this time directed at him. Darth Vader? What did he have to do with any of this? This must be some kind of Sith trick! He whirled around, ready to attack the man when his lightsaber was suddenly wrenched out of his hand. It flew into the shadows, and it was only when a young woman stepped forward that he saw who caught it.

“I wouldn’t do that if I were you.”
Her singsong voice sounded amused as looked over his lightsaber before tucking it away into the inner part of her jacket. Then she stepped closer, and Quin would drop into his fighting stance, curling his fists and readying his legs to spring.

“Who do you two think you are?” Quin would ask harshly as he eyed the man and the woman, waiting for either to make a move so that he could shield Lemon. “Get AWAY from her!” With that, he aimed for yet another Force push in the direction of the man. If it had taken down the droids, would it work on him too?

“Oh, what’s this?” Cheriss smiled. The defiance of the boy was admirable, though foolish. His so-called fighting stance was absolutely horrendous, too much weight put on the front leg, and his arms and fists in all the wrong places. One step back when he stepped forward to punch and he would be sent sprawling to the ground. No need to lift a finger. So cute.”

She glanced at Kayden. His earlier move had still surprised her— of all people, she would least expect him to lower his blade at a clearly aggressive Jedi, but that was exactly what he’d done. Was he suddenly fond of children? She didn’t think so, but there must have been something in the boy that the other champion had seen that caused it. As for her, both the human and the Togruta were worthless little brats who could burn on Mustafar for all she cared.

The boy tried a Force push at Kayden, and Cheriss walked right past the Padawan and towards the computer. She sensed his hesitation, his desire to stop her from downloading this data warring with his dedication to his friend. And they say Jedi can’t have attachments.

She placed her data spike in the computer, making sure it was downloading before turning back to the two Padawans and her partner. Would it be wrong to have a little fun? She looked back. 0.1 percent? How much data does this lizard have? Well, it was obviously going to be a long wait. Her eyes fixed on the girl, and a smile played across her lips.

“How are you feeling, dear?” she asked. “Are you hurt?”

“L-Lin..?” Lem tried to blink herself out of a daze, afraid that closing her eyes might silence the light, and she won. “I…I’m all right!”

One friend helped the other back on her feet. Then it was time to help each other win the fight. In the cave. An amethyst beside an emerald, with two rubies on either side. “We can do this!”

No. She spoke too soon. More of them. A woman emerged from the dark, wrenching Quin’s lightsaber, and stepped into the light. You’ll pay for that, bi—

Lin just launched the Force for the man in white when Lem caught the woman move. What’s she doing!?
As if no one else was in the room, the female Sith waltzed up to a computer like she owned it, if not the planet itself.

“...Dear?” Lem gritted her teeth, beginning to forget than anyone else was in the room except for Lem and that brown-eyed brunette bitch.
“My name…”
One foot behind the other, purple light trailing behind, Lem kicked off.
“...Is Leh’Min’AYD!”

The girl charged the woman as she had the man, this time her left hand leading the way, free to ward off Force attacks.
Right hand grips a hilt, saber swings, blade tears across the computer terminals to send sparks flying into the woman’s pretty face.

“Who do you two think you are?”

“I am me, of course.”

Meanwhile, Cheriss waltzed off to go tappy-tappy with the keyboard when Kayden caught the little lekku chick stare daggers at that very woman.
This is going to be an interesting experience. Yes, we agree. Hm?
Kayden looked around for whoever the kriff was talking to him. We agree, Kayden.

Something fast covered the distance of the hallway, came Kayden’s way, and he could have sworn he felt the fabrics of the wind as the hairs on his skin called out, called his name. Kayden. Kayden. Kayden.

Sword still lowered, White Knight indeed, the gentle Sith’s left hand raises instead, pushes against the wind, calms it down for both of them, straightens his back. We are Kayden.

“But…” Eyes rove the room, spot the Togruta scream something about lemonade, centers his gaze on those grey eyes of that small boy. “...There’s only one of me…”

Red blade centers in front of face, tip to the sky, debating whether to bring it down upon these Jedi. He makes his decision.
Kayden walks forward, blood between his eyes, bright fire and burning light. Somewhere the stars are trembling but all he hears are a womb's cries.

“Time for school...Pad.”

The Sith just… wiped it away. Quin’s mouth was open with shock as with a simple wave of his hand, the man dissipated his Force push. Oh no. Then he heard Lemon yell, but he couldn’t afford to turn his back as the male Sith began to walk toward him, blade pointing straight up in front of his face as if this were some kind of dark side cult ritual. It looked like something straight out of a horror holomovie and Quin could only back up as he approached, unsure what else he could do. However, before long he was backed up against the wall, leaving him no other option but to fight back.

“I don’t take lessons from you, Sith scum!” With that, Quin would charge at the man before dropping down at the last second, wrapping his arms around the Sith’s legs as he tackled him. It felt all too familiar having done the same thing to Goldenrod just a while ago, but this time he would have neither his lightsaber nor Lemon to back him up. For all he knew, the Sith could just kill him and be done with it, but he wasn’t going down without a fight.

“You’re no better than that Trandoshan,” he would spit as he tried to wrest the lightsaber hilt out of the man’s grip. If this Sith could block his Force attacks, then he would use blunt force instead.

“I’m not going to let either of you leave this room alive!”

The amused expression on her face didn’t waver as the girl called Lemonade suddenly threw herself in her direction. That was an adorable name. Cheriss ignited a lightsaber— the green one this time. This will be very interesting.

However, any of the fun she’d been having was promptly ruined when the Togruta slashed the computer instead of at her. Kark. All that research, ruined! Dr. Sawin wouldn’t be happy when he heard about it. She frowned at that, taking a step away from the sparking device and meeting the dark eyes of the girl. The fury in them surprised her, but she found herself beginning to enjoy it. Without the proper training, these Padawans wouldn’t know how to use it, and it would make them reckless.

The charging boy in the background was an example.

“Lemonade, my dear, is this how Jedi teach their children how to use technology these days?” She let out a disappointed sigh. “Pity.” With that, she put one hand behind her back, turned to her right flank, and pointed the green blade at the girl.

“Now. Shall we?”

Lem didn’t stay too long to watch sparks fly as her blade tore through a row of terminals, so wasn’t sure if she had managed to sever the data collection entirely, but unfortunately for the Jedi there were so many computers.

For now, this one would focus on that Sith as the woman got into the kind of stance one takes when ready to dance. Leh’Min got into her own, and it wasn’t Makashi.
Rage.

“That belongs to my friend, harlot.”

It wasn’t her enemy’s arms or arm that the Padawan watched. She saw a red saber where she saw only red, but now she saw green, and it looked ugly on that wicked woman.

She had assumed Ataru, knees bent, blade beside her, but the girl straightened herself, raised her weapon.

The lightsaber is in two hands now, held above the head and angled backwards to the ground in the form of Djem So.
Against the dying light.

"Give it BACK!"

Leh'Min sprung forward, a burst of speed propelling toward the woman's right flank as the purple light came down.

The blade would crash upon the woman's right arm to take it off, or maybe her own blade if she retracted her arm and potentially knock the hilt out of her grip.

Force Push cancels Force Push, lightsabers dance like glowsticks, another teenager charges an adult and somewhere Darth Vader is rolling in his grave. Sith scum!
“NOT THE HIP”

Now, to be fair, the Sith had plenty of time to react. He had a sword of fire, magic at his fingertips and a relative distance of which to have time to stretch his legs.

Yet, there was something about this boy’s energy that Kayden just couldn’t shake.
Anger? Fear? Passion?
Whatever it was the Jedi wrapped around the Sith in the kind of hug a son gives his father, and who was Kayden to recoil?

On his back, the man in white struggles against his opponent, more or less.
Hands dance with hands, the boy’s trying to capture the hilt in the man’s.
The blade still points. Have to be careful not to touch it.

“You’re no better than that Trandoshan,”
“Half of that Trandoshan would disagree.”
“I’m not going to let either of you leave this room alive!”
“Then how will we leave, child!? Surely not on those yellow gurneys!?”
Kayden laughs. Like a father wrestling his son.
“EMOTION YET PEACE”

Maybe it was the boy’s turn to cancel a Force Push as Kayden just then sent a blast of his own to launch that boy into the nearest wall—and pin him to it.

Quin yelled. There were no words. His voice was filled with only pure rage as the Sith goaded him with the Jedi Code and pinned him against the wall. What did some darksider know about the Jedi? But the code was the last thing on his mind now— his fight or flight instincts had kicked in long ago, and fight was winning out.

His wrists and ankles felt as if they were chained to the wall, his back glued. But glue could be washed off, and chains could be broken.

“Your kind… destroys peace!” The anger that had been building up earlier suddenly washed over him like a tidal wave, and with it, he managed to break one of his arms free from the man’s grip. Extending it, he turned his head toward one of the cabinets. Using the Force, he broke it off the wall and hurled it at the man, watching as the door swung wide open and the cabinet’s contents fell out. Unused beakers fell at the man’s feet, shattering into shards of glass that reflected the light as much as the man’s pristine white armor, as the cabinet itself went straight for his head.

“You’re a MONSTER!”

Harlot? Amusement turned into barely concealed anger as Cheriss rounded on the girl. Her eyes narrowed into slits. It was as if she were back on Corellia. She was done with those scumbags. They’d insulted her for years, calling her names just like that, forcing her into things she wanted no part of, and in the end she’d killed them. This Jedi wretch would join them, and she was going to savor every minute of it.

“Oh darling, I’m going to enjoy killing you.” She laughed. Lemon attacked, and Cheriss blocked. Violet locked against green, sparks flying in between the two as she stared hard into the girl’s black eyes.

“Don’t worry, I’ll give it back,” she promised. The girl had such zeal! “Once you’re dead and your skin is hung up on my wall!” While she’d refused the Yautkan, this one she would take if Kayden would be so kind as to prepare it for her. With a quick step to the side, lowering her saber arm to break out of the lock and hopefully unbalance the girl as she might continue to push down, Cheriss would aim for the girl’s right side when she sent out a streak of lightning with her left hand. Her saber arm would return to its position at her side, ready to block should the girl decide to strike again.

“You’re nothing, Lemonade. What would your master say, seeing you like this?” She couldn’t help a laugh from escaping her lips. It had been so long since she’d felt like this in a fight, a sort of high that could be found in no other circumstance. Whatever it was, she loved it.
