Amaterasu, called Amy to those close to her, approaches the chamber that holds the Jedi Council. The time has almost come, and Amaterasu was feeling anxious about the whole thing. It is her first time making a report, and she was doing so without the guidance of her master, Corina.

Hands within the sleeves of her robes, Amaterasu waits for the council to admit her within their chambers.

Corina followed her apprentice to the High Council Chambers. She had tasked her with giving the report. She wanted the masters to see the first product of her training and be proud of Amy. They stopped outside and Corina turned to her, "Don't be nervous, you'll be fine. I'll be in there with you, to help, but they're going to be talking to you most of the time. I'll just be in the background."

The grand doors of the High Council swung open silently, and Councilor Tanoor sat expectantly on her chair. "Enter, young one." Her voice was deep and lush, rippling through the room on choppy waves. "You wish to speak, please."

"Venturing for the Good" Report:

"Yes, Master Tanoor," said Amaterasu, her voice quivering slightly at the end of her sentence. The padawan walked into the chamber, calming herself and putting together her words for the oral report. After a few seconds of regaining her composure, the padawan began.

"Master Linar and I have investigated the situation on Balmorra, whereas a certain criminal organization has stolen a datachip containing information regarding droid schematics..." The padawan paused there for a moment, swallowing.

"From the events that followed, we allowed ourselves to be captured by thugs who were clearly in affiliation of the crime lord in question, and infiltrated the facility where we believed the holochip would be kept. Hostility towards the two of us, Master Linar and myself, began a firefight, in which a few were dead, and the rest fled. I attempted to recover the holochip from the terminal that a technician was extracting its information from, but the security system has been placed on lockdown, requiring a pass key to by-pass."

"We tracked down the owner of this pass key, and we were forced into combat with him, a male twi'lek. Although we retrieved the pass key from him, the twi'lek was killed from falling off of a catwalk within an assembly room. After we removed the schematic information from the terminal, we covertly left the facility and returned the droid information to its owner without incident."

Under the sleeves of her robes, Amaterasu fidgeted a little, hoping that she did a decent job for a first-timer.

'Well, it sounds like you had a rather busy time.' he murmured. Had he been there the whole time? The ever enigmatic, ever strange Edo Tesu, devoted to the Jedi Order like none other, but his mannerisms...well, he wasn't the most comfortable person to be around. From beneath his grey-brown hood, the Jedi Councillor smiled, the expression contorting the numerous tattoos that covered his entire face, and all over his body. Silently, he nodded to Tanoor before falling silent once more, the silence broken by a quiet cough into his sleeve.

"Letting yourself get captured is incredibly dangerous. A Jedi must never put herself in the needless path of danger, I advise more paths be thought on next time." Linora replied, her voice eerily calm and smooth. "I am saddened at this loss of life, but it was necessary."

Shifting in her seat, Linora smiled. "I am glad the chip was returned to the rightful owner. You have done well, young Padawan." She glanced over to Councilor Tesu and smiled briefly. No matter what most said, she found his company strangely comforting. Perhaps it was his mystery. Not even she understood the tattooed man. "You may leave, unless Councilor Tesu has anything else to add."

'I do.' the Councillor noted in his low voice, rising up, , folding his arms across his midsection. Despite the tattoos all being self-inflicted, Edo remained quite self conscious about them. He felt their eyes on him, all the time...He smiled at the padawan, looking up slightly at the girl - 'Damn it all, why are they all so tall?!' he thought to himself.

'Tell me, girl. How do you feel?'

"Feel?" questioned Amaterasu. "What do you mean, Master Tesu?"

Right now, after all of this is over, or while on the mission?

He sighed, the smile dropping from his face quickly. Why did they always try to look into these questions? Edo was simply asking how the girl felt, and she thought that she was meant to reply with some Jedi nonsense. The padawans were the worst, all wanting to please their masters so much...

'I mean, how do you feel? It's a simple question, girl. Try to keep up.'

Amaterasu blushed a little. "I feel... More at peace than I was before accepting Master Linar as my teacher. It is as though... uhh... I have began understanding the Force for the first time."

It was difficult for Amaterasu to convey her feelings to words: something that just could be felt and easily recognized.

'You have direction; focus. Feeling at peace because of this means you must have felt as though you were merely drifting before-hand?'

Beneath his hood, the light caught Edo's eyes ever so slightly, giving away a flash from beneath his hood, and the faintest trace of blue. He turned around and sat back down.

'What is your opinion of Master Linar?'

The padawan nods in reply to Master Tesu's first question. After thinking for a moment about the second, Amaterasu gave her reply.

"She is an excellent teacher: I am proud to be taught by such a Jedi."

'Well...that's not very interesting. Do you know anything about her as a person at all?' Edo snorted. A Padawan and Master should be close before they stumble blindly into a teacher-student role. Apparently not, in this particular case.

"Little," admitted the padawan, feeling nervous about the press of questions from Edo.

She then realized how weak her bond with her teacher would appear: neither herself nor her master has spoke much of their past, concentrating more on the training and philosophy.

"Reading scriptures and engaging in petty sword fights won't make you a complete Jedi." The Grandmaster said softly, as he sat amongst his fellow masters. "To be a Jedi is to be at peace. A deep connection with your Master is necessary to achieve this."

Edo glanced over. And he thought he had been quiet so far. But then, Sarus Kappa was one of those people you could never be sure if he was listening or sleeping.

Linora bit her lip at the harsh tone of Sarus. The Padawan was young, ignorant. She would learn. "Do not let these words deter you, young one. But their words are wise and true. Learn of your master, not just from her."

Edo coughed slightly, and it was almost as if he said 'her' whilst coughing.

"Yes, Masters," nodded Amaterasu.

Indeed, she felt struck by the words of the Grandmaster, although she accepted them as a reminder that her training is not yet complete.
