When Wer asked for cover, Virgo obliged. She stepped to the front, HB-4 in hand, rapidly toggling the trigger as intense volley after intense volley flew tried and true. At least long enough for @Wer Tracyn and @Atuu Skirata to get through the door and begin pushing it closed as she backpedaled her own way to safety.

Once they were In safely, and the door closed behind them, Virgo hit her knees in pain. Though her armor kept her vitals from being tampered with, she didn't come out unscathed. A few bruises for the most part, but on the back of her calf and above the thigh, there were some burn marks from the blaster bolts.

"Kriff!." She cursed as she looked at her wounds in the sense of her sight. "That's going to leave a mark." Looking around as she pulled out a bacta patch from her gear, she gazed upon the room they found themselves in, a lingering question slipping from her lips. "Where are we?"

At the request for cover from Wer, Atuu felt guilty for a moment as he was already mid-way through shouldering the door shut behind the trio. But to no surprise Virgo stepped up, standing directly in between Wer and the assailants. She was either fearless or foolhardy - he couldn't tell yet.

With grunts and strained muscles Atuu would continue to push the door as he watched Wer and Virgo retreat inside. After a few more strained moments it would come to rest, closing off their pursuers but simultaneously trapping them in whatever room they'd just unlocked.

Standing from his position at the door, Atuu would raise the lamp on his helmet and scan the room. Slightly illuminating the entire chamber, with the light focused on the center of the room. Large arches surrounded a hewn staircase, the chamber itself was seemingly undisturbed. Although showing signs of age as some of the art and busts lay in shambled the room as a whole seemed as still as the day it was sealed.

<"I don't believe it. The resting place of one of the great Mand'alors."> Spilled from his mouth, looking around he would see several foreign objects . <"I don't know what, if anything, is trapped. Don't do anything stupid like just picking up something shiny without giving it a good look first."> Atuu advised as he slowly and methodically stepped through the the chamber and toward the singular tomb that stood in the center.

Wer moaned slightly in pain as he recuperated against a wall now inside of the bunker.

"Alright, note to self, next time I go to a planet filled with mudmen and bugs, shoot everything on sight." Wer grumbled. slightly as he nursed all of his wounds. Standing up, he followed Atuu's lead, looking around in awe.

Wer tasted the air a bit. It was still. As much as the three had gotten out of one bad situation, they may have just stumbled into another one. It would require a bit of exploring, but it was possible the room was air tight, meaning that the three had a limited amount of air to breath down here.

"Take small breaths friends" Wer warned the others.

Still, he couldn't help but have his worry be over taken by awe. The chamber was ancient and historic in every sense of the word. The objects he was initially curious about, but given his luck, he was happy to stick closer to Atuu for the moment and watch his back.

"How long till those bugs get in here after us do you think?" Wer asked outloud.

Virgo's gaze shifted across the growing room; taking in the busts, paintings, chests, urns and murals; and found herself awestruck in the moment. A smile crossed her face and she felt warmth in her heart. They stood amongst the wealth and remains of one of the Ancient Taung's Burial Chamber. She could feel Kad Ha'rangir's smile upon them. Stepping forward, she stood on the precipice of the Chamber's center as @Wer Tracyn spoke.

"Buried too long." She spoke in observation, sniffing the air. "See the damage to the paintings and busts? This isn't a controlled environment. Means fresh air." She chuckled. "Plus I smell rain water. Likely erosion through the stone."

Virgo had walked many tombs in her life, not just Mandalorian. And since the front door wasn't tampered with, the damage came likely from erosion or a back door. Or both. Even if there had been previous looters, there would be signs, of which there wasn't. So the damage was natural. Didn't mean there wasn't other traps to worry about however. "Still be wise to watch our steps though."

Virgo would shift her feet slightly to the front as she moved, applying as little pressure as possible at the front of her steps as she searched for pressure plates or even the slightest of recoil from the stone below as she made her way toward the tomb in the center, and taking heed to @Atuu Skirata's words. When she reached the tomb, she made carely as she slid the tip of her Beskad along the tomb's seal until she felt it's tip hit void.

Looking forward at the two, she awaited their will to shift it.

Gingerly stepping through the remains of this ancient burial ground Atuu would take head of his compatriots words. The wear and tear made sense if there was another exit. Thankfully he would not need to use his rebreather out of necessity, but he would out of caution.

Flipping the machine on he would respond to Wer <"Shoot everyone who isn't with you when you're looking for a lost tomb... That sounds like solid advice to me."> He offered with a bit of a chuckle as he panned the room with his helmet light once more.

Turning to read some intricate carvings, admire some decaying tapestries, pretend like he knew who a bust was of. Until he would reach the tomb itself. Watching Virgo slide her beskad along the seal of the stone casket Atuu would mimic it along the quarter by which he stood.

<"Seems to be clear."> He said as he stowed his beskad and placed both hands on either side of his corner of lid. <"Wer come give us a hand will you, and count us down when you're ready?"> Atuu said as he waited in position diagonal from Virgo.

Who knew what would be in the casket.

"Right?" Wer replied to Atuu's comment. "Maybe I should write a book of advice for other Mandos. 'Wer's wisdom!" At the final comment, Wer laughed heartily at the silly concept.

At the order of opening the casket, Wer was slightly hesitant. Disturbing the dead wasn't exactly high on his to-do list, but this was part of the reason the three came to this planet after all.

"You sure this is a wise idea?" Wer asked at the order, but taking his place regardless. "If anything in this tomb is bound to have a booby trap attached to it, I'd bet my right hand it would be this."

Still, Wer placed his hands in position, after wrapping them in wads of cloth. He learned his lesson from the door earlier. Perseverance was an honorable trait for a Mandalorian, but sometimes honorable and stupid were too closely related. And Wer wasn't so sure about how honorable opening a Mandalorian's casket was. Still, if ordered, he would heave the thing.

"Alright, here we go..." Wer stated as he finished prepping himself. With both hands on the casket's lid, he counted down.

"Ehn, T’ad, Solus, Nari!*" On Nari, he heaved with all the strength and Mandalorian Minor could muster.

*3, 2, 1, go!

Sheathing her blade, Virgo grasped at the edge she had positioned herself at and gave push as Wer counted down. Even though there was a possibility that there laid traps, the etching of her blade along the coffins seal have revealed none which meant the traps had been laid elsewhere amongst the treasures or laid within the coffin its self, albeit the latter was an unlikely scenario unless a pressure plate was the culprit. But Virgo held no intention of raiding or robbing a Manda'lor of its prized possessions.

As the lid slid off and gave way to see its innards, Virgo gave off a resounding and awestruck gasp as her blind eyes fell upon the remains of a ancient Taung laying within, drapped in ancient armor and surrounded by ancient weapons forged and wielded by their forefathers, and bones of ancient Mythosaur jumbled with the ancient Taung's own. In truth, after their mission to Mandalore, Virgo had held a new revenance for the Taung and their ability to kill and even ride such gigantic beasts. No longer holding the self pity of being labeled Dar'Manda, she could truly enjoy paying her respects to such homage.

D20: 13; Trap activation avoided

Virgo placed her hand upon the ancient Taung and spoke a near silent prayer in Mando'a as a remembrance of the moment. "<May Kad Ha'rangir watch over your soul, forefather, in your eternal watch. May your gaze follow the fields of battle as we, your descendants, fight the final battle with each of our lives so that when we meet, we can sing our praises in your glory my brother.>"

With that, she raised her hand from its form, and placed it to her chest, holding the moment as her blind gaze shifted to the other two.
