Vak waved his hands in the pitch black darkness, trying to feel for something familiar. He reached out in front of him and felt the cold, clammy wall directly opposite of him. Vak slowly started to follow the wall, hoping that it was the right way.

How much time had passed? In the darkness, time was undetectable. It had felt like a lifetime, and his stomach grumbled from hunger. Had it been a few hours? Days even? I need to get out of here thought Vak.

He reached out with his senses and called upon the Force to his aid. Once surrounded by it, Vak closed his eyes and immersed himself into the Force, becoming one with it. He knew the cave now, and all its inhabitants.

Vak continued to feel around the cave, searching for his master. Your going to pay........ he thought

Durtrak smiled some, seeing through the darkness as this new initiate was finding his way through the darkness after so long. Once he figured he was close enough to Durtrak and the exit, the Trandoshan reached out with his hand that held a small device as he tossed it towards Vak. The small orb rolled on the ground before releasing a bright orange light from it, illuminating the area so Vak could now see where his master was.

Vak heard a small click on the floor of the cave, and then suddenly it was illuminated by the strongest light Vak had ever experienced. He immediately closed his eyes to stop the pain and dropped down into a crouching position.

Once he was confident enough that the initial pain had subsided, Vak opened up his left eye looked around for the cause of the light. Instead, he saw the familiar figure of his Trandoshan master.

Filled with red hot rage, Vak summoned the Force around him faster than he ever had before. He closed his eyes and felt the cave around him once more. He knew where his master was with his eyes closed. Vak focused the Force into his feet first, and sprinted toward his master.

As the short distance between them started to close, Vak concentrated all his might to his fist instead of his legs. He would only have one shot.....

Anger. Durtrak sensed anger emiting from his young apprentice, anger from wondering around aimlessly for so long no doubt. Anger was something frowned upon by the Jeedi most of the time, but it was something that was allowed in the Order of Ospions, and a common emotion for a Trandoshan. He decided to play along...

"Well done, you have made it through the cavernsss of Darknesss. You usssed your sensssess inssstead of your eyesss to essscape madnesss and back to the light."

Vak closed the distance quickly. He heard his Master utter some statement, but Vak was beyond listening at that moment. Presently, he was in the mood for destruction and pain. In his mind he saw his Masters body on the ground, broken and bloody; beaten.

Then he was there, in front of his Master's ugly face. Vak's face twisted in rage and his fist leaped out in his Masters direction.

The next thing Vak knew, his legs had caved from under him and he was lying face down on the cool grass. What had happened?

This is it, thought Vak. He's going to kill me right now...

A hissing sound emited in the room as a dark yellow glow emitted near Durtrak as he moved his Lighrsaber beam deadly close to Vak's face to where he could feel the heat. But it never moved further, and Durtrak instead let it sit there near his face for the moment.

"You sseem to possesss anger, that is good. You will need it if you are to continue onwardsss in your training. My only command for you is to watch it and don't let it control your actionsss."

He then turned it off as he let the hilt go back to his robe pocket as he extended his clawed hand to his apprentice, as if giving him a hand to help him onto his feet.

Vak blinked, confused for a second as he stared at his Masters hand. He hadn't killed Vak, a very bold gesture. On the streets of Nar Shadaa, Vak would have been dead the second he had been knocked on the ground. His Master was powerful, yet he knew mercy as well.

How wise....Vak thought

Vak eyed the Trandoshan's hand yet again, but this time he reached up and grabbed it, pulling himself up in the process. After regaining his footing and dusting himself off, Vak looked at his Master and said "....Thanks for not killing me...even though you had every right to...."

Vak's eyes drifted lower, toward where the lighstaber came from. His eyes went back to his Masters and said with a grin "...When do I get one of those?"

"I did, didn't I? If you try to assault me again without my ssay sso, I will enforce pain onto you. Now come."

Durtrak then started to lead his apprentice out of the dark caves and through the hidden entrance to a training facility. That was when the question about the Lightsaber arrived.

"You will make your own when the time comesss, but that is only when you are sskilled enough to not accidentally cut off your own face."

What kind of room is this?

Vak's eyes scanned the room.

On the walls hung countless weapons, armor, blasters, ammunition, and more trinkets that Vak could not recognize. Putting two and two together, Vak realized his real training was about to begin.

In response to this realization, Vak removed his shirt and tossed it to the side of the room, followed by his shoes. Vak stood barechested and without shoes, and then bent down to begin stretching his leg. While bent down, he said
"So when do we begin the physical part?"

"Now. We will begin the real training now. Do you possesss any weaponsss on you that I have not sseen of yet?"

Durtrak had his back to his apprentice when they entered the room. He was looking over the weapons and trinkets he put into this room sometime ago.

Vak reached around his waist to the back of his pants and removed two blasters. After holding them in his hands for a second he let them fall to the floor with a echoing clang.

He continued to stretch, saying
"Thats it Master."

"The ssteel container near the door has sseveral training lightssabersss. Grab one and one of the training swords on the wall. We are about to sspar."

Durtrak stated, turning around where he unholstered his curved sword from the wall he kept it on and turned towards Vak. He would not wait long.

Vak followed his Masters finger toward the wall with the weapons. He approached them cautiously, looking over them one by one.

Vak picked up what he figured out was a training saber and a sparkling longsword from the wall. Holding both of them in his hands, he turned to his master and said
"....Which?"

His curved sword now in his grip, he walked towards Vak as if he was about to engage him.

Vak tossed the saber to the side and rushed at his Master, swinging diagonally from his right.

Vak kept the attack coming. With no formal training, he was just swinging wildly.

Vak stepped forward with a horizontal slash...

Durtrak had little to no trouble blocking the attacks as he parried each one with ease. This man fought like a child with a toy, his stance was all wrong.

"What Order did you come from? Didn't they teach you how to fight?"

Vak swung his right arm in a hook that did not hit his target. "Jedi." Vak answered. "They didn't have the stomach for me."

"Regardlesss, if you fought anyone else who actualy knew how to usse the blade, you would mosst likely have been killed. Now watch me, and copy my sstance."

Durtrak held his blade up infront of him with both hands, posistioning his feet and arms in a paticular stance that placed him on the defense.

Vak's eyes scanned over his Master for a quick second, and then flew his body into the appropriate stance. Once he had copied it completely, Vak said "Like this eh?"

Durtrak said, finishing with a yell as he moved in the directions he showed Vak before moving his blade in for a strike towards his torso.
