Vak had left his old life behind him, forever. His anger had taken hold of him and forced him out of the new life he had formed for himself on a planet far away.

While packing his things he heard muffled whispers. Leaning closer toward them he learned of a rogue Jedi base on Arcon-VII, maybe they could show him what his previous masters had not...

He left soon after and caught a transport to Arcon-VII, and then rented a speeder from a nearby bazarr. After a hour or two of travel, he stopped at a cliff, the intended destination.

According to what he had heard, the rogue Jedi base was hidden here in this cliff. Vak studied it for a while, but saw no clear man made formations or entrances. But instead of giving up, he sat cross legged on the grass and proceeded to mediate, to reach out in the Force to others. Yes, there were others nearby...perhaps they would heed his call.

Several minutes went by and a slight growl was heard behind Vak, but it was an unaggressive growl, just one that Durtrak usualy summoned before he began to speak. He stood there, his arms crossed and wearing his light hunting armor on. "Issss there something I can do for you, Ssstranger? Not too many come here to admire our front lawn." Durtrak joked, though he never could be so sure. These human's cultures and such were far different then Trandoshans, and in his time in their galaxy he has seen quite a few odd ones. Durtrak was hoping this was not one.

Vak whipped his head around at the sound of a voice. He looked the Trandoshan up and down, and then finally replied "I overheard that rogue Jedi come to such a place to train and be at peace....or to find a darker path..."

He steadied himself a bit "I have left my prior training...and i wish to continue it with another. Are you a part of this rogue Order?"

"You would be half correct. However, I like to think ourselves as the real Jeedai, not so much as those foolssss on Corussscant think. But you have found yourself at the right place, Stranger. We are the Ospion Order. I am Ospion Knight Durtrak, and you are?"

"Hmmm... Ex Sssshade member? I know little on them, but it is good that you came here insssstead of that other Jeedai Order... If you are interessssted, there may be a place, and eventually a future for you here. Doessss it intresssst you to learn the path of the Osssspion and walk a path the Jeedai refuse to walk?"

Vak answered "Of course sir...they could not offer me what i desire, nor the power i crave. I was hoping the nights of Ospion could..."

"Good. Now, come with Durtrak, There are things we should discuss before I have you officially resigned into our Order." He motioned his hand for Vak to follow as he placed both hands behind his back, walking towards the raised cliffs that were high before them. As they approached the footing of the cliff, Dutrak turned around to face Vak.

"First, I want to see if you can follow me." And with that, Durtrak leaped high into the air, manipulating his height through the force as he back flipped in the air and landed on a small cliff that was some fifteen feet above the ground. There, he stepped back and waited for Vak to follow.

Vak watched with utter disbelief as his master used the Force to leap the cliff with ease. Such power! Vak had never done anything like which he was about to attempt

I can do this he thought, his own confidence rising. He thought back to what little training the Jedi had given him, and started to calm himself. He gathered what little of the Force he could and started to run toward the cliff. He summoned what courage he had and jumped. Using the tiny bit of energy, it worked for a second until Vak's hopes were squashed by a cliffside wall.

Vak fell to the ground and moaned.

Durtrak looked down to see that Vak had apparently not yet learned to heighten his agility yet. Shaking his head slightly, he looked down towards Vak as he spoke. "It seems you will have much to learn. Try again. If you fail, realize that jumping is not the only way up." Durtrak said, noticing that the cliff had many small hedges on it's side that allowed others to climb, but they were spaced apart from eachother that would require the climber to really reach out.

Vak's tongue swept around his mouth and tasted the sweet distinct taste of blood. He groaned. Not only because of the pain, but of the pain that was certain to come as well.

He picked himself up and started to dust the dirt from his tunic, and then abruptly stopped and started laughing. He laughed for a good minute, thinking
What does it really matter?

After he calmed himself down, he turned his back on the wall and walked away from it till he was a few yards away. He thought back too all the knowledge that he had of the Force. He remembered the calm that he had been briefly shown, the sense of inner peace that he had been taught to find in order to command the Force. After searching for several minutes, he found it deep inside him, buried underneath the anxiety and nervousness of his upcoming actions.

However, in his life, Vak had been taught many things. Violence, crime, hate, prejudice, many things. But one of the most important had been the lesson of perspective. Vak had learned every man saw from his own perspective, and those that taught from their own constricted perspective were just dampening their own advancement in their lives. Vak was not one of them.

So he summoned up all the pain that he had received from the wall, and the anger that he had from receiving it. No, not anger,
Fury. Red hot fury burned within him, and with a yell he took off in the walls direction.

He was moving faster than normal, much faster. He tried not to notice his legs moving twice as fast than he usually could, and the wall was approaching more quickly than he had anticipated. With another yell, he launched himself up in the air.

Too late. If he had made the jump a little earlier he would have definitely have made it. Airborne, he watched as the rock wall quickly came toward his face.

Not this time he thought.

His anger at his failure and at the expected pain exploded, as did a large portion of the wall. Bits of rock flew around him as he landed on the grass beside his master and went into a roll, resting on the ground.

Durtrak took a step back as part of the cliff gave away and crumbled down to the ground below. But it was then Durtrak sensed that Vak had landed beside him on the cliff, a few cuts and bruises from slamming into the cliff on the first try, but he would live. "Well done. Do not get comfortable though, for we are not done yet. Follow." Durtrak commanded, turning towards the rock wall that stood above them, looking at it as he placed his hand on one of the rocks, pressing it in as he then pressed into another rock with his hand, and a small doorway in the wall opened into two to reveal a dark hall inside lit only by torches. Durtrak then entered, expecting Vak to follow.

Vak peered inside the dark tunnel cautiously at first, but scurried along when his master almost dipped out of sight. He stayed close at his masters side as thoughts of different evils jumping from the shadows entered his mind.....

"Sssso tell me, Vak. Do you know the wayssss of battle, to know how to defend yoursssself when you are faced with danger?" Durtrak asked, walking through the halls of darkness, the blackness before them not a real problem for him. He knew exactly where he was going.

"Depends on what kind of danger master. I willingly admit there are those who I cannot kill, creatures I cannot slay.." He paused.

"Why master?" He asked, his nervousness slowly growing as the walls seemed to be engulfing him in never ending darkness...

Vak nodded his head as he continued to follow his master throughout the dark halls. He said "Will you show me?"

Durtrak did not awnser, but instead suddenly sprinted off into the darkness ahead, leaving Vak alone in blackness. Only a few lit torches were down the hall, lighting up only a very few select areas. Durtrak's eyes could see just fine through the darkness and with a wave of his hand, several torches behind Vak were distinguished, leaving the way they came in almost impossible to go back too.

"Find your way through here. Trust not in your eyes, they can deceive you. Use your senses, use the Force to find your way through the darkness and to the hidden entrance to our sanctuary."
