"I have found that it is quite a simple philosophy to live by."

She smiled at the girl and motioned with her hand, opening the door and stepping towards it,

"I find that it's never too late for a walk on Coruscant. This city never sleeps, and is even more beautiful at night." At the girl's comment about a way to contact her Kira withdrew her comlink and pulled a chip out of it. Preprogrammed with the code for her encrypted comlink, it would give the girl a direct untraceable line to the Sith Lord. She handed the chip over to Lanna as they walked through the door.

The city outside was bustling, the sound of whirring speeders and trillions of beings, all vying to be heard over the roar filled her ears. She could see the twinkle of a hundred lights before her, tail lights of speeders, illuminated windows, and the many signs and displays of businesses advertising. The cool air was blowing in a gentle breeze, and it caught her hair, blowing it behind her shoulders and sending it flowing down her back. She walked close along the banister of their platform, so that it was on her left, and sent a smile towards Lanna,

"So tell me about yourself, Miss Lanna. I hardly even know half of your name."

Whilst Padawan and Sith Lord walked hand in hand, figuratively if not literally, another individual was plying a trade of a different sort. Dressed in simple attire replete with earth tones, to all outward appearances he appeared to be some sort of worker bee out on the town after a long day, earning credits for a corporation that would never appreciate all his hard work. Hunched over slightly as if the weight of the world was on his shoulders, he seemed a pitiful specimen of a man, which was what he wanted the world to see and what he sold the masses. The truth (as subjective as that is) was far less benign as was his intentions Leave no witnesses, well clearly that's part of the mission, I'm no amateur. Scoffing to himself, he simply leaned up against the rail with a slight stagger as if to feign drunkenness while his target stepped out shortly after Kira and Lanna To smart to simply accept whatever was offered to him, so diligent in checking his drink, he forgot about the stem of his glass... He should have worn gloves. Absently cracking his neck, he simply sat back and watched the show unravel.

There it was, the first stage had begun to reveal itself as the minor functionary he had been watching for so long, began to stagger about like a drunk Corellian pirate out on shore leave Next comes the innate aggression towards all and sundry... Ahh there it is Remaining at his vantage point, he winced slightly as the man who had so brazenly refused to honor his end of an agreement, rushed past the two ladies who were so engrossed in their conversation. Snippets of unintelligible babble began to issue out of the targets mouth as he gestured wildly at the two women That's always the trouble with that particular concoction, too much and they drop dead, too little and they can be saved, but if you take the time... It's just right. If he was a curious sort, he would have wondered just what this one had done to invoke the ire of his benefactor, but then he was never the curious sort when it came to the mission at hand As long as there is no risk to me that is, although why someone would try to blackmail a member of the Sith is anyone's guess, no one said all targets had to be a challenge Watching from his vantage point, he took the time to rub his sleeve against his eyes as if wiping the sleep and drunkenness away, while in reality the compound he had placed there moments ago simply caused bloodshot eyes and flushed cheeks An old mummers trick but then not everything has to be done via the Force Shaking his head slightly as the target haphazardly turned around and brazenly reached towards Lanna's arm, Drallic simply smiled against his sleeve as shouts about betrayal and backdoor deals began to pierce the hustle and bustle.

Lanna walked with the woman outside the sliding doors of the dirty café, and sucked in a breath of Coruscant's busy air through her nose. Nothing could amount to the view of a night on the city planet. The metallic buildings were encrusted in lights galore, and people walked up and down the streets, along with speeders and hovering vehicles. She loved it. It was purely exhilarating to her, for reasons unexplainable. She just loved visiting new places, and experiencing their unique culture. For both the good, and the bad. Especially the bad.

Humming, she pondered Kira's question for a moment as they began walking. She would never admit to enjoying the action of talking about herself, but it was the truth. Of course, she also enjoyed listening to other people talk about themselves."My name is Lanna Singh. I was born on Tatooine, and I lived there until I was eleven years old. Then master Hibliss found me, and took me to the temple to train as a Jedi." She paused. "Of course my parents were wary about it at first, but Tatooine has never been a place to offer an abundance of opportunities to their people. I was the youngest of two other siblings, and at the time, it was the best option for me. I did not mind of course. I was the one who wanted to go. After that I trained for about three and a half years, until my master went missing. I have been told that I am going to get assigned to a new master, but I am not sure who yet. Meanwhile, I must admit that my training has suffered quite a bit. I don't do much because I have nobody to train me."

She clutched her coat as they walked across a street, with a dense mass of people. She had after all, lost her money last time she walked carelessly around these streets. When they got to the other side, she looked around for Kira, who was still beside her.

"I enjoy learning about things. And I have a very open mind." She smiled. "What about you Kira? What are you like?

Kira had noticed, curiously, someone who looked much like a Sith waiting on the balcony. Had it been coincidence? Or had Eryn sent one of his Sith to guard her? If the former, Kira was curious. Coincidences happened far too often for her liking, and she found that very rarely was anything truly a coincidence. Were it the later, however, and Kira would find herself immeasurably charmed and flattered, but the gesture was unnecessary. She listened as the young girl went on about herself, seeming at first modest about opening up, though the breadth of detail in which she revealed about herself proved this hesitation to be nothing more than a show. As the girl spoke Kira saw someone approaching and reaching for Lanna's arm. Her arms resting by her side, Kira simply flicked her hand - hopefully outside of Lanna's vision, and broke the man's arm backwards at the elbow, and sent him stumbling backwards. If he had attempted to cry out it was muffled by the throng of people. With luck Lanna would perhaps not even notice the disturbance, and the Sith she had seen trailing would deal with the intruder.

The girl turned her question back on her just as they were reaching the other side of the long street, nearing a bank of turbolifts. Kira glanced upwards, as if recalling old memories, before looking back towards Lanna. In reality Kira had been choosing the bits of her life that she would share with the young girl, hand picking the 'good' moments, and skipping over the moments that would likely disturb the girl.

"Well my name is Kira Elan. I was born on Hosnian Prime, and I stayed there with my family until I was 5." She pressed the button beside one of the turbolift doors, hailing one for them. "I don't remember much of my family, but I can remember that my family life wasn't very happy. I was discovered by the Jedi then, and taken to Tython. That's where I really grew up, was in the temple." The lift arrived and she motioned for Lanna to follow her inside, "I was one of the more prudish Jedi, and stayed away from attachments and passions." she gave a soft chuckle, as if recalling how foolish she had been "It was such a stupid decision. I stayed with the Jedi until the terrorist attacks on Onderon, if you remember those a year ago. I was injured in the attacks and taken prisoner by the Sith. I barely escaped with my life." The last bit was an utter lie, but Kira covered it with a confident smoothness. "The Jedi gave up on me when I was captured, and never sent so much as a rescue party after me - and that's why I chose to walk away from the Order. I still hold it close to my heart, but it saw a different side of the order that day. All in all, the decision to leave and study independently broadened my horizons, and I understand the Force so much better." She blushed a little bit and let out a small laugh "I even found a boyfriend."

She glanced down towards Lanna, making eye contact with her, "I'm sorry to hear about both your Master, and your training. If you would like to train with me I would be more than happy to help you. I was a Jedi Knight after all." She gave the girl a genuine smile, filled with warmth and compassion.

If he had recognized Kira or her companion, he gave no sign, save for the slightest inclinations of his head towards the two and a roll of his eyes towards the target in silent mockery; Drallic was not about to give the game away, not when staying within the parameters of his briefing was not only expected but demanded from those in authority. Watching his target flail about with a broken arm brought a momentary smirk to his features, and then nothing, as if he were judging a man based on simple inebriation If only the fool could feel pain from outside stimuli, I would imagine it was excruciating... Ah the wonders of modern pharmacology.

Anyone with a blade or a blaster could kill, he had proved that well enough before he had been set on the path of power, but to truly destroy something or someone... You had to take everything away from them and leave them wallowing with nothing; one had to achieve Dun Möch, albeit of a different sort. Pushing off the rail he had been leaning against in 'drunken stupor' he simply counted down the time within his head The fever should be a foregone conclusion now, funny thing about illness, it can have repercussions... Suffer a fever too long and one's mind figuratively melts away He had watched and waited for an opportunity and most importantly an alibi; when his target had decided to travel off world the plan had been conceived, when he went to a specific system the details were put together, and now that he had returned....The illness that he had 'contracted' was now showing results.

Pulling a fish out of the water, that's what this so called important man reminded Drallic of now as his targets arm; the one that had been snapped so adroitly, flopped around as if it were a piece of silk in the wind. There was no true sentience behind those eyes; the fever had claimed it, refused to let it go, and thus the utter ruination of a man who once prided himself on his intelligence and ability to manipulate events was complete.

Drallic seemed to slip into the crowd effortlessly; much like a diver cutting through a placid water surface like a razor. He didn't stay behind for the remainder of the show as his target began to claw and mutilate his own face with a remaining good arm, he didn't stay to see the local authorities drag the apparent madman away, and he would well be on his way back to Korriban when the aberration that had once been a person of moderate social standing and note, was locked away as an apparent madman....

The girl heard a strange sound. Alost simultaneously, a strange error in the force washed over her. When she turned her head to the direction it came from, there was nothing to be seen, but the crowd of people around her. She glanced back at Kira, who seemed to sense nothing. Suspiciously, she kept moving. She assumed that if it was an issue, the woman who was highly skilled in the force would have sensed something. Since the woman made no hesitation to the occurrence, Lanna shrugged it off. She put it in the back of her mind so she would not be worrying about it, but if it were to ever be brought up again, she would easily connect the dots.

Lanna stepped onto the platform, several other people joining the two of them. "Oh," She murmured, feeling a sense of disappointment for the way Kira spoke about the Jedi Order. She personally, had never experienced such a thing. She remembered When the terrorist attacks took place. She had been only thirteen at the time. She remembered hearing the stories, and actually feeling genuinely stressed out about it. Stressed about something she had no power to control. "I'm sorry that happened to you." Her eyes trailed down to her own boots. When the woman went on to speak about how she was actually happy that she left the order, in a positive turn.

One of her knuckles cracked hard when she offered to train her. She looked up, a bit surprised as the doors opened, and the people poured out. The two of them walked out, to another level of Coruscant. Lanna was thinking deeply about the offer she had just been made. "Let's see if we work well together," Lanna said, cautiously. She wanted to train with Kira, but she was not sure the Order would approve of seeking mentorship with someone who was not an official Jedi knight. Either way, if things went well, she could easily find herself seeking unofficial training. "And then I will highly consider it, Miss Elan."

Kira gave a simple shrug towards Lanna, smiling at the girl, as she expressed her sympathy for Kira's mishaps. Little did the young girl know that said mishap had lead to the best circumstance in Kira's life - her joining the Sith Order. Kira stepped out of the turbolift as it reached the level she had programmed, much lower than the one they had previously been on, and turned to face Lanna,

"I would very much like that."

A beaming smile flashed across the woman's face, and then she began walking again. The beings at this level stared lustfully at her, but her confident stride, the broadness of her shoulders, and the power emanating off of her like an unseen wave kept them at arm's reach. Everything down here was darker, dirtier, and more grime covered - a world forgotten beneath another world. Kira made her way across a small permacrete plateau towards the balcony, and then leaned against its railing.

She took a deep breath, closing her eyes and probing the area around her in the Force, looking for something. Opening her eyes back up, she turned back to look at Lanna,

"Do you know what a Force Nexus is, Lanna? Have they taught you that in the Order yet? If not it's fine. My boyfriend hardly even understands them."

Lanna followed the woman, listening closely. She kept a sharp eye on her, observing the way she looked at others, and the way she walked. There was something easy about it. As if she simply waded through life unable to miss a step, or embarrass herself. And there was no doubt in her mind that things would go the way she intended. The young Jedi followed her closely, weaving in and out of the crowd, as needed to keep up. She stood up straight beside her, trying to appear near as confident under her coat. It was silly to worry about what the crowds of people saw when they looked at her, but there was a little mark of insecurity scratching at the back of her mind. Could it have been Kira that was making her feel that way? Lanna did not believe that to be the case. Instead she would blame herself for whatever silly, girly feelings she would have like that.

Eventually the people fizzled away, and Kira went to the balcony of the platform they stood on. The girl followed, curiously peering over. She thought she had already seen all of the stunning views the planet of Coruscant had to offer, but oh how she was wrong. She peered down, looking at layer after layer of city, cut away, and falling down for what looked like miles. speeders hummed through the cut away portion of the widely lit chasm.

"Whoa," She whispered, wide eyes.

There was silence for a moment, before Kira cut in with a question. A question about a Force Nexus. It sounded familiar, but she could not pinpoint what it actually was.

"No. I have not, actually."

She went on to mention how her boyfriend barely understood the concept himself. Lanna was slightly curious about her boyfriend, but decided not to ask because she did not want to come off as impolite.

"What is, a Force Nexus?" She asked, looking over at Kira.

Kira's mind erupted in a cacophony of excitement as she located it. Coruscant was flooded with a sea of lifeforms - all of them inherently different and unique. It had taken her this long to search deep enough into the world to find what she'd been looking for, an ancient dark presence stronger than any she had ever felt. Now that she felt it, she could find it. Her train of thought was interrupted as Lanna answered her question and she turned to face the girl,

"That's quite alright! A Force Nexus is a place where the Force has been imprinted upon time and space itself. They are typically places of great power, and when you step into one the Force flows more freely through you than it otherwise would. It is usually imprinted upon the location, or until it is forcibly removed over many years. Legend has it there is one here, on Coruscant." What she didn't tell Lanna was that the Nexus was the remnant of the Old Sith Temple which had sat upon the city planet so long ago.

Kira pointed towards a dark tunnel, sitting directly across from them - separated only by the deep hole which bored into Coruscant's surface, granting civilians access to the lower levels. "From what I can feel, its over that way. Would you like to go explore it? I've been looking for it for quite a time. They say that when you're within the Nexus, your ability to use the Force is near limitless." She flashed a genuinely excited smile towards the padawan, and desperately hoped the young girl would say yes. Kira had been after the Nexus for some time, and the Sith Lord was so close to gaining access to it now - but she was quite sure she would need a second Force-user to reach the inside of the Nexus, if the interior design was anything like other Sith temples once they'd been locked down.

"Getting there is pretty easy."

Kira said, stepping away from where they had been standing. If one walked along the balcony a bit further, you could find a small dock of sorts jutting out into the abyss - allowing for speeders to park and take off. Kira motioned for Lanna to follow behind her as she stepped onto the narrow island and waved her hand at one of the open top speeders - a pretty blue shade with fancy looking engines. The vessel hummed to life instantly as Kira stepped into the driver's seat,

"Getting inside is quite harder - however. Hop in and I can take us over there."

Kira made no mention of whether the speeder had been hers, or whether she had stolen it. She had, indeed, stolen it, but she didn't want to upset Lanna's perhaps delicate moral compass with the news, so she was perfectly content to leave the girl in the dark about the matter. Presuming that she would indeed enter the speeder, Kira would sail away from the dock they had been on towards the cavern.

"Coruscant can actually be a pretty scary and intriguing place if you get down low enough. The under city is completely separate from the rest of Galactic City. Poverty, crime, disease - they all run rife down here."

Lanna followed her new found companion along, while keeping her eyes occasionally on the black tunnel. They walked to a platform that extended out from the side of their balcony, jutting out in a notably narrow fashion. It was small, which instantly got Lanna thinking about how she could simply teeter off the edge, and find herself falling down the chasm around her. In conclusion, she stood in the middle of the platform, legs spread slightly apart. It was casual, so it was unlikely that Kira would notice, but she did have the possibility on her mind. She was not horribly afraid of heights, or falling, but it did seem to spark a sense of adrenaline inside of her.

They stepped inside a shiny blue speeder, that was waiting for them at the end of the short platform. It boasted an air of flashy, almost gaudy appeal. She wondered to herself if that was Kira's taste. She sat down in the passenger seat, and pulled the security strap over her waist. She also settled in by pulling down the hood of her coat, sitting up straight, and looking out at the view before them. There was no ceiling on the speeder, so the wind blowing passed them made her hair blow around a little. She smiled, thinking a ride down the back allies of Coruscant would be quite an eventful trip.

However, that was not what she got. It was still an eventful trip, just different.

They flew into the black tunnel, which was ever so dimly lit up by little glowing lights on the roof. It's walls were shiny and metallic, and there seemed to be no other form of traffic inside.

"Strange..." Lanna muttered.

They drove on. As they went, she spotted the walls opening up on the sides in intricate carvings. It was not as if they could fit through the spaced areas, but she could see light behind them. The artificial lights above them were eventually gone, and it was only the patterns on the walls glowing with blue light that were left to illuminate the area. The minutes passed in silence, as Lanna observed the tunnel with wide eyes. It almost seemed too easy that something like a Force Nexus would be located here. They came to an area where the patterns were spread apart, which made their drive through appear like a strobe light, of sorts. She sneaked a glance at Kira, who she was still trying to understand. She was a mystery so far. A mere acquaintance who had proved herself to be a Jedi. Or, ex Jedi. Still, an avid force user who apparently seemed to know more than Lanna. She always seemed at ease. She was pretty.

The light opened back up, and this time stayed lit before them. Lanna turned, gazing out at the scene in front of them. The walls of the tunnel had fully opened up into a strangely lit center.

"Whoa."

As the speeder rocketed away from the miniature dock and across the chasm, Kira could feel the excitement growing within her. The discovery of this Nexus would be the culmination of months of study and devotion, learning all she could about the old Sith Empire. As they grew closer to the opposing wall, its stature casting a shadow over their speeder she could feel the Dark Side coursing through her. The tunnel they entered was originally no different than a standard Coruscanti tunnel. The walls were covered in the standard pocked durasteel that had a slight shimmer to it, telling of both its original condition, and the toll time had taken upon it. Ahead, though, Kira could see that the walls changed. They ceased being this industrial durasteel, and began to become something far older, and more sinister. The walls transitioned into a stone of sorts, seeped with the Force. At this low a level, and in the slums, it was no difficult feat to understand how the Jedi & Republic had missed it all along. Most who entered were disturbed by the omnipresent feeling of malice and uncomfort. Those who ventured in further, those brave or lost souls who enjoyed spending their time in such a gloomy eerie place, would have no idea how to open it, or that there was an opening. From the littered trash on the surfaces, and the paint sprayed on ornate columns showed that the malcontent teenagers of Coruscant were the ones who frequented the entry to the temple.

In fact, before Kira and Lanna were two such teenagers. One was a Rodian, and the other a green skinned twi'lek. They leaned against one of the walls, and from their closeness it looked like things were beginning to get romantic, or as romantic as it could get down here. The male Rodian looked at her with a scowl and quipped at her,

"Wontcha leave lady? Cantcha see we's bein private?"

Kira waved a hand, splitting the two apart roughly and barked at them, "Leave. Now."

The Rodian took a long glance at her, but as he was doing so his partner was already running for their speeder. He quickly joined her, while making an obscene gesture at her, and the pair was gone. So steeped in the Dark Side as this place was, Kira could already feel her power growing. She had to be careful not to ruin the facade she had with Lanna, and allow the girl to know of her strong connection to the Dark Side. She looked around the temple for a bit, before locating a wall that reeked of the Dark Side more than the others. Closing her eyes Kira focused on the wall, and then the runes carved into it began to spin and twist, and the wall receded back into itself, before sliding aside and revealing a long, narrow, dark antechamber. The floor of the chamber glew red, and was made of a reflective black marble.

Entrenched in the ancient magic of the Sith, the wall would appear to sensor imaging to be the same density of any other wall, and to the Jedi focusing on it would do nothing. This wall had to be opened by a practitioner of the Dark Side. At the other end of the newly created chamber, however, lay another wall - this one not entrenched in the same magic. While it had to be opened with the Force, it did not have to be a practitioner of the dark. The trick was that the original door must be held open, or the chamber would close and its occupants would be killed, and if one's concentration was divided in order to open the second door, the first would slip and you would fail. Therefore, to reach the temple one must bring two Force Users. Kira turned to look at Lanna and motioned to the other wall with her head,

"Open it and we'll be in."

Somewhere along their trip, Kira pressed the break to the speeder. They coasted to a stop, in front of two young individuals who seemed to be making the most of their time down in the dark, eerie hole. Lanna could feel heat rise into her face, but she didn't say anything. She let her partner shoo them off, and get the petty backlash for it. Meanwhile, the girl sat up straight, and fiddled with her hands in her lap.

Once their unsavory encounters had left, they stepped out of the speeder and began to look around. The young Jedi didn't realize it at first, because she was so focused on her surroundings. Her heart had begun to beat faster, her palms were sweating, and she felt as if she were on the edge. Her thoughts darted around, and her skin was tingling down her arms, to the tips of her fingers, to the crown of her head. This must have been what a Force Nexus was like. Despite her unease, she did not say anything. After all, she didn't want Kira to believe she was weak.

Sucking in a shaky breath, she looked around. Her stomach was turning, and head started to hurt. She may have been sick, but thanks to her mental will, such an act was not an option for her. She swallowed down her discomfort, and looked on.

Turning back to Kira when she heard a grinding sound, she peered down a chamber that seemed to open up before them. Down the glowing hall, there were two walls amongst the slick black stone that they had to focus on. The woman motioned to one on the walls, and Lanna moved to it. She would have to use the force to open it.

The hood of her coat was pulled back, and her eyes were sharp and serious in that moment, due to the immense amount of focus she was concentrating on delivering. She gave her partner a slight nod, so inform her that she was ready. Then, together, they used the force to open the entrance to this hidden Force Nexus.

Something came over her, like a feeling intruding on her sense of control. Something bitter from fear, but sweetened by intensity. A feeling of several deep contradictions. It was rich in every emotion, and somehow it was just too easy to give into one or the other. Uneven, and chaotic. The balance could be thrown off the edge by a single thought. She almost let her hands fall, and her focus break, but she didn't. She opened the door all the way.

When she pulled back, a few strands of hair fell into her face. She leaned on the wall behind her, and glared at her feet, which seemed to ease her dizziness brought on by her ever growing headache.

She pulled her fingers through the top of hair, brushing it out of her face, then looked at Kira.

"Do you feel that?"

The young girl obeyed Kira's instruction and edged her way past the young girl, and focused her attention on the second door. Within a moment the door slid open and Kira felt it wash over her. Subconsciously she walked away from her door, allowing it to close now that she could safely. The sickening sweet darkness that washed over her intoxicated the young girl, feeding her deepest darkest thoughts, and increasing her power by orders of magnitude with every breath. She could feel the greed, the needyness of this space. She could feel the pain, the rage, and the hatred permeating the walls. She passed Lanna, who looked like she could puke, and stepped into the room. It was circular, focused on an area at the center which had a square made of pillars adorning it. Radiating from within the pillars was a cloud of amber-red smoke and light. She could see what looked like pure black water bubbling around the pillars, but when she allowed it to lap over her feet she didn't feel remotely wet. Instead she just soaked in the power as it emanated out of this spot, soaking it in.

Behind her Kira could hear a small voice speaking, asking if she could feel that. Of course she could, she was Darth Solum, one of the Lords of the Sith. She fed off of this place, and she could feel it fueling her, giving her... power.

"I do... its so... strong." It was hard for Kira to keep a grin off of her face. Instead she motioned for Lanna to follow her, "You should step inside the center with me. I don't even know what will happen but I imagine its extremely powerful." She stepped closer, her figure now partially distorted by the smokey gas surrounding the pillars.

Lanna stood up straight, and regained her composure. She began to believe that suppressing the force energy, would only continue to bring extreme discomfort. So she sucked in a breath, and let go of her tensions. She let in a sense of ease, and a much more ominous feeling subsided within her.

Immediately she could feel any illness fade away. There was an undeniable heavy power that was pouring into her body, and her mind.

She stepped closer to Kira, and turned around, eyes wide to the place around her. There was smoke rising up, floating above the dark water. The liquid almost looked black due to the obscured lighting. The girl stepped into the water, letting it lap at her boots, and the bottom of her robes. It didn't seem cold. And if it was, she wasn't paying attention.

Desire. It was intoxicating.

Kira had stepped off to the middle of the place, and the smoke seemed to swallow her. Lanna squinted, trying to find the woman. Suddenly she was alone. Alone with the impending darkness. Alone with her thoughts and desires. A match of greed, and lust was lit inside of her chest, and now it was blazing.

The young Jedi took a heavy step forward, towards the middle of the energy. And then a few more. Before the knew it, she was standing side by side with the woman that brought to the place.

She clenched her fists, and staggered. Her knees were now in the water, and head felt like it was about to explode with the overdose of contradicting desires.

She was frustrated, and even embarrassed that her partner could just stand there, unfazed. And she herself was having such a difficult time. She was a Jedi. So why wasn't she strong enough to channel the force energy? The girl had not expected to feel so bitter, and jealous. But she did.

"Kira." She winced. "What is this?"
