The day was not as bright as it would have been on a planet like Tython, which Lanna was ever so familiar with. There was something about the dense city and the tall buildings all packed together that seemed to cast out some of the light. Maybe it was simply because there was no familiar glare in her eyes that made her mind trail off into the subject of weather on Coruscant. She was only slightly warm under her brown cloak that covered her Padawan uniform, and her light saber. The reason she wore it was to keep from attracting any sideways glances, or worse, the attention of an unwanted individual looking to start problems with a Jedi. There were residents of all kinds inhabiting Coruscant. It was what left the possibility for danger, which seemed to uphold a level of growing interest for the young Jedi. Big cities dripping with culture excited her in a way that she thought best to take advantage of. Therefore, she had quite reluctantly come with a few other Jedi when given the oportunity to get some business done.

With her hood pulled over her head, and her messy hair rolling out over her shoulders, she walked through the street flowing with a steady crowd of people. She weaved in and out of the people with ease, taking no time to hesitate when she ducked at the glint of something metal. A man turned with his partially cloth wrapped gun protruding over his shoulder. She did not dart around and flinch away, but simply leaned with a spin of her heals as if there was a childish skip to her step. Part of this was due to the fact that she was in a good mood. The day had been eventful, and she had a nice time, leaving her with a good feeling, and an empty stomach. She made her way through the dirty metallic sliding door of a café, and got in line. There were various aliens there as well, which Lanna observed curiously. It was not as if she had not seen them before, she was just curious.

She waited silently, with her hands folded together, popping each one of her knuckles at a time. It proved to be an unbreakable habit. As she stood there, she obviously did not want to seem weak, but she also did not want to seem too confident. Confidence was what did the best job of drawing attention. If you were small and passive, only people who looked for small passive individuals would notice you. But if you were too confident, everybody knew where you were and what you were doing, which was a risky situation to be in if you could not maintain it. Lanna preferred to simply be as she naturally was. It was ironic for someone who contemplated it so thoroughly.

"Next," a voice called.

Lanna looked over to a heavy woman behind the counter, wearing a dirty shirt. Her cheek was resting on a hand with gaudily embellished nails that were sharpened to fine points. She made eye contact, stepped forward, and bumped into someone. The girl stumbled. "I'm sorry," she said when she regained footing. She reached into the inside fold on her coat, and patted around.

"Next." The noticeably impatient woman called for the second time.

She swallowed. The money she had on her was nowhere to be found. She looked back to the lady at the counter, and then to the woman she had apparently stumbled into. "Excuse me," Lanna said politely, turning to leave.

Hadrian had found himself on Coruscant to begin expanding his horizons by experiencing different ones. While no stranger to a city planet, he had never quite experienced the depth of Coruscant. It was so easy to get lost in it, but it was not nearly as alien feeling as the Outer Rim despite residing there for over a decade.

Thankfully, a café is a familiar sight in nearly any urban setting. That, and they tend to be a good way to get a good feel on the average denizen of a planet when you first visit. He found them to be useful for getting a good gauge on how the citizens may react to you.

Also, he was hungry.

He had taken care to put on a neutral face, a bit of impatience in his expression to better fit the urban setting.

As he stepped through the entrance, the Arkanian immediately noted how glances were made his direction and how long the gazes lingered. Employee gazes lingering was expected, and he attributed some lingering stares to his white skin, despite otherwise appearing human. His eyes also lingered on some individuals, especially aliens he was not used to seeing very often, as was to be expected of such species - or would that proof to be a miscalculation at such a hub? It was not often such on Terminus, where a wide variety of aliens came through.

His left hand tapped against his right wrist and he let out a small, sharp breath as he found himself in line, finding it unfortunate to be in line despite being at a facility meant for rapid service. Such a business would not otherwise survive on such a wor- ah? His attention immediately picked up on the girl not too far in front of him who had put herself into an awkward situation. Her knuckle popping habit was filtered out, but she had now drawn Hadrian's attention, though he had given some leeway on her cloak. He often assumes someone wearing a cloak is hiding something, and those individuals usually just pop out to him.

Perhaps an opportunity?

He rose his voice a bit and attempted to make eye contact, "Miss, did you misplace your credits? Let me cover you. I can emphasize after a long day." The Arkanian waved to the woman behind the counter immediately, pointing to the girl.

The view from where she sat was quite honestly exquisite. The light that shone in from the transparisteel viewports, diffused by the array of cracks in the glass, gave a golden glow to the planet-wide cityscape. Kira allowed her eyes to wander the pure manmade beauty before her, and wished that world such as this existed in brotherhood space. All of their planets were war torn, or just so ugly. Like Korriban, or Moraband. The Cafe was nothing special, its durasteel door was dirty and old, and its windows were scratched and had dust clinging to them, but it was fresh.

"Double chocolate vanilla pumpkin frozen-caf?"

Turning her head Kira reached out and took the drink, it's cool contents freezing her hand momentarily. As she took her drink she heard the predicament behind her, the girl having lost her credits. Kira turned to get a good look of the girl, and noticed immediately that the girl was a Jedi Padawan. The braid, the cloak, the lightsaber, she was a Jedi. Kira grew instantly curious and knew what her opening would be. However, as she prepared to, someone came out of left field and attempted to snipe her. Kira would not be sniped.

"No please, allow me. A gift for the Jedi Padawan." She said, setting down her cup. She was closer to the girl than the man was, and instantly reached a hand down into her purse, drawing the appropriate amount of credits and thrusting them towards the barista. She flashed a smile towards Lanna, and made sure that her force presence was still hidden - luckily it was. As far as Lanna would be able to feel, Kira was just another ordinary girl.

She wasn't dressed like a Lord of the Sith. With pair of black leggings, some knee high boots, and a frilly green blouse she looked like an average coruscanti girl. Her two lightsabers, a blaster pistol, and her comlink were tucked away in her purse, away from sight but at a moment's reach.

Kira motioned the girl towards a table,

"Why don't you come sit with me! I just got my drink too."

Lanna was surprised by the sudden spill of attention. The man behind her offered to pay, but before she could reply back, the woman had already handed her credits over to the lady at the counter. She stood comfortably between them, until she heard the woman address her as Padawan. It made the hair on the back of her neck stand up for some reason. Was it that obvious? had been her first question. She reached up and pulled down her hood, looking up to meet the eyes of the woman. "Thank you." She observed her very modern outfit. It definitely boasted that of a resident of Coruscant. Lanna had never actually worn clothes like that before, and it interested her as to what it might feel like. Maybe if she were to dress less occult-like with her cloak and hood, she would have more luck fitting into advanced society. The thought only crossed her mind for a split second before she was focused on the actions around her once more.

She stepped back a little, turning to the man. "Thank you as well," and she gave a slight nod of the head, like a partial bow.

She stood up straight, and kept her hands motionless at her sides. Of course, they were not so easily seen under her cloak. Her attention back on the woman, she gave a polite smile. She could have protested against the woman's actions, but there was no way to deny the hollow pit of hunger rising in her stomach. She figured she would pay her back later for her generosity. "Alright then." She took the drink the lady set out for her, and followed the woman to the table. It was a heated fruit tea. She liked sweet things, and this drink quenched the craving quite nicely. She sat down, blowing on it, while keeping her eyes on the woman who sat down after her. She was curious about the friendly encounter, and wanted to know more about how this very average looking woman knew about the Jedi. It was not as if Lanna came from some sort of secret society, but she still had a curiosity towards people who knew about it. Carefully she asked the itching question, hesitating a bit. "How did you know I was a Jedi?" There was no harm in asking. She had her small hands wrapped around the cup, steam drizzling up from the opening on the lid. She studied the woman's mannerisms with a spark of skepticism behind her gaze. Brushing a lock of curled hair behind her ear, she took a drink. Her tongue met with the stinging sensation of an overheated beverage.

Well at least she didn't say no. This is a start.

Kira smiled and sat in one of the comfortable chairs, crossing her legs as she did so. She took another long sip of her cold drink, and then set it down on the table. The girl seemed skeptical of Kira, though that was to be suspected, she'd just done something that 98% of the Coruscanti wouldn't. Kira tilted her head and flashed a knowing smile at Lanna

"Oh honey.. it wasn't hard."

She motioned with her hand to the hair spilling down across the girl's shoulders,

"Padawan braid."

Then she motioned to the cloak itself,

"Drab cloak on a sunny day,"

Then to Lanna's waist,

"Lightsaber"

She took another sip of her drink and brushed some hair behind her ear. Of course, those were the visible queues that had given the girl away. Kira had been a padawan once, and she could almost smell it wafting off of the girl. The girl's posture and mannerisms practically screamed "Hi! I'm a padawan!" to Kira, though this she would keep to herself for now. She would allow tidbits of herself only when the girl asked for the time being. The girl looked about 15, which put her at 12 years Kira's junior. She sized her up quickly, gathering what she could about the girl from her appearance.

"I do know a fair bit about the Jedi. You all aren't that hard to pick out in a crowd."
She gave a slight smile and then asked "Now tell me, what is your name?"

"A Jedi Padawan?" His eyes lit up.

Hadrian immediately blinked in disbelief realizing his target was sniped. Two strangers simultaneously being generous towards a girl who had misplaced her credits in this hub? Doubtful. Well, two can play at that game.

A nod was returned to the young woman when she demonstrated her thanks.

He had soon come to the front of the line with the impatient woman, and motioned towards Kira. "I will have what the generous lady ordered." Motioning the appropriate credits towards the employee, he would make his way over to Lanna and Kira, cupping his hands and holding them up near his sternum. "I beg your pardon, but I must say it is good to see another generous being on such a busy planet. People are often quite selfish." He offers a small smile to Kira before turning his gaze to the Padawan, "I understand if this is not really something you may be able to help me with, but if you do not mind, may I ask if you have maybe seen a sibling of mine in the Order? It has been some time since we were last in contact."

She swallowed hard on the drink, feeling the tingling numbness left over. She put it down on the table, and opened the lid, letting the steam waft out in attempt to cool it faster. She had taken one of the little wooden sticks from the side of the table, and stirred the drink. She also tore open several sweetener packets and poured them inside.
"My name is Lanna. It's nice to meet you."
Lanna found the woman's semi-condescending way of pointing out her clothes and her light saber to be fascinating. She wanted to know what else she knew, and how. Where she acquired the smooth confidence to casually talk about it. The subject was not exclusive, though. From the way she handed the cashier lady her money to the way she led her over to the table seemed to be effortlessly timed as if she were carefully wading through the motions.
Her light saber on her belt was easily brushed by her elbow every now and then, as a slight tick of reassurance. She subconsciously did it when she talked to anyone. Not because she expected she would have to defend her self against the current situation, but because it was a lingering sense of security. She would be more confident with it, even though the people around her did not know she had it.
"And what's your name?"
She did not mind talking to strangers or conversing with them. Originally, she assumed that she would be sipping her tea alone, enjoying the sound of silence. She did not fancy loneliness, however. Just the opportunity to experience the charms of Coruscant on her own was something she looked out for, so it was a fortunate turn of events to be sitting with one of the planet's finest examples of raw culture. She studied the woman, trying not to seem impolite with her lingering gaze.
Cutting off her deep inspection, a man walked over to the table. The man who first offered to pay for her drink. "Oh." She murmured, looking up at him. "May I help you?" She popped a knuckle. She listened to him address her by her Jedi rank, Padawan, and then moved on to question about a sibling. Sighing, she answered. "I'm afraid I can't help you. First, I have not seen anyone that you remind me of, nor have I paid much attention. There are lots of Jedi and affiliates with the order, so it is likely that I have never actually even met your relative. That, and I must admit I have been a bit out of touch lately. My master turned up missing a few months ago, so I had not actually signed up for much work until now." She paused. "I apologize for the lack of information I could give you."

Lanna.

She committed the girl's name to memory, ensuring she wouldn't soon forget it. In the process of growing familiar to the girl, forgetting one's name would be rather disastrous. The girl seemed to have a bit of a nervous tick. She could see her rubbing her arm against her lightsaber unconsciously, and Kira just smiled inwardly. It had been something she'd seen in many padawans over the years, and something even she herself had done when she was younger. Taking a long draw from her drink, Kira cocked an eyebrow when the girl asked for her name.

"My name is Kira. A pleasure to meat you, Miss Lanna."

The Miss was unnecessary, the girl was clearly quite younger than Kira, and Kira was certainly more experienced and trained, however it was flattery. Flattery served a purpose in interactions such as these, as people who found themselves flattered were often less on guard. She turned her attention to the man who interrupted their conversation,

"Apologies, I haven't seen anyone matching that description either. Though I have been out of touch with the Order for almost a year now. Perhaps I would suggest going to Tython?"

"You were in the order?" Lanna repeated, eyes darting up from her drink to meet Kira's solitary gaze. No wonder she had such a wide knowledge of what a Padawan looked like. She ran her eyes over the woman's clothes again. It was an interesting development.
The underlined word "were," rang in her mind. She must have resigned. Of course, that was a difficult thing to simply just do. Maybe she was kicked out for doing something bad. it would have had to have been a crime. But then again, what kind of woman in a frilly green shirt commits crimes worthy of being punished by the Jedi order? She waved away the thought of the stereotypical evil doer wearing a black cloak and sporting sickly blood shot eyes. Then again there was always the possibility of...
She coughed, having swallowed her drink wrong. She put it on the table, and coughed into her hand, some hair falling into her face. It was thankfully not loud, or disruptive towards she people around her.
"Excuse me," she breathed. "I'm sorry about that." She stiffly put her hands into her lap, and sat up stiff and straight. She was a bit embarrassed, as she always tried to look as mature as she could. Though, somehow when she got especially stiff, and stood at attention, she had a way of rubbing off as her age versus if she were to simply rest and be casual.
A vent began to blow above them, creating an annoying whooshing sound. "Were you a Jedi?"

He could only offer a nod, pursing his lips and furrowing his brows in defeat. He mouthed an "Ah, very well" before moving himself out of the conversation bubble. Kira had set herself up well to interact with Lanna, and Hadrian found himself counter sniped with precision. The Arkanian purposefully did not glance back despite the intriguing subject matter, but he kept his ears open best he could until the din of the café drowned out their words. He tapped his left fingers on his right wrist, taking note of names, features, and quirks. Not much, but he was already speculative of Kira, and though the galaxy was a big place...

"Here you are, sir". His train of thought was paused by the completion of his order. A smile was offered to the barista as Hadrian walked up to the counter and took the drink, putting it to his mouth for a sip. He paused for a brief moment at the taste, moving the cup away from his mouth and giving it an incredulous look.

That is one of the sweetest drinks the Arkanian ever had.

Smirking to himself, he let out of a brief chuckle. Taking another, longer sip, he stepped over to an unoccupied table, put the drink down, and resumed tapping on his wrist. Kira. Knows how to order a sweet drink.

Picking up the drink again, he held it up as a light toast in Kira's direction, whether she took note or not, offering a smile if she did, and proceeded to make his way out of the café.

Well, Kira certainly wasn't disappointed. She had thrown in her knowledge of the order, hinting ever so subtly that she had been a part of the order without outright saying such. She had wondered if Lanna would catch it, and such would be her first test. If the Jedi girl missed the hint then Kira would finish her drink, and move along. However, when the padawan picked up on it, Kira was delighted. She turned to look at Lanna, and released a bit of the veil she kept over herself. She kept her alignment hidden, still, but she allowed her Force presence to wash out over the Cafe, allowing Lana to feel how powerful she was.

"I was a Jedi Knight once, yes."
Kira allowed her eyes to wander off and stare into space, as if in deep concentration, "It feels like a lifetime ago." She allowed her cheeks to blush. "I felt that the Jedi held me back from my potential, so I left the order, in order to pursue the will of the Force."

Kira caught the toast as the man walked out of the Cafe, and just flashed a smile at him. She returned her attention to Lanna, as she drained the rest of her drink.

"My master was the wisest man I knew, and even he was at patience's end with the Jedi. When he was killed in the bombings of Tython... well I departed the order, to find who I was."

Lanna's eyes widened ever so slightly, which was barely noticeable. She paused. She could sense something she had not noticed before. The unmistakable presence of the force, coming specifically from the woman sitting in front of her. She could almost feel it wash over her in a wave, leaving the skin on her arms, hands, and then the tips of her fingers with a light tingle. She leaned back, touching her shoulders to the chair, clutching her drink to her chest. She wondered why she had not sensed it before. There was always the possibility that she was not paying attention. The force could easily hide itself if one did not subconsciously concentrate on it. That would mean that when Kira had mentioned being affiliated with the order, it would have flipped a switch in Lanna's mind, leaving an opening for the force to reveal itself to her. She let out a breath, believing she had solved a bit of a puzzle.

The woman looked reminiscent for a moment when she was talking about the Jedi. She trailed off, "It feels like a lifetime ago." For a moment there, Lanna thought she could sense something genuine. Either that, or she saw it in her eyes. Kira continued on, explaining how she felt that the Jedi Order had held her back from her potential. That she left to pursue the force on her own. It made sense. In fact, it was quite understandable.

"I..." she began. "I did not know you could do that."

She felt herself shift a bit when Kira mentioned her master's death. It was an event that would put any Padawan into a state of fuzziness. "I'm sorry about that." She did not say it out loud, nor did she intentionally send the thought form anywhere. She was not especially proficient in her telepathic abilities, after all. She drank the remaining liquid in her cup, and set it on the table, dropping her hands to her lap, beginning to fiddle with her fingers. Popping one at a time.

Kira let a humored grin creep across her face, her eyes fluttering shut for a second, before she opened them and looked back to Lanna. The girl, if she was being entirely honest - which Kira thought her to be - was fully indoctrinated by the Jedi. She could feel the girl's curiosity as Kira released a bit of her force presence, allowing for Lanna to finally feel her power, to finally feel her presence. As if to show off, Kira released her cup, though it didn't fall. Instead it floated in place, before sailing through the air towards the garbage disposal, before dropping, like a stone, into the bin. All of this, only with a twitch of her finger.

Kira finally responded to Lanna, "Of course you can! You're your own person Lanna. The Jedi don't own you. No, that's what they want you to believe. The Jedi are a great Order, don't get me wrong, they want to save the galaxy, but to be a member means that you limit your potential. You'll never reach everything you could be, as the Jedi have to maintain their control. " She blushed a bit, "My apologies, I wasn't trying to imply that you should leave, I just was reminiscing on the past."

She felt the girl's sorrow waft through the force, nearly as telepathic words, so Kira returned reassuring thoughts. She was slowly weaving the hooks in and out of the girl. If Kira was right, the girl was already ensnared. If Kira was wrong... they would likely go their own ways, Kira disappointed, and Lanna content.

Lanna sat there now, studying the woman with sharp amber eyes. The gears in her head were turning, as various scenarios for what just happened tumbled subconsciously through her mind. She was powerful. That much was obvious. It made her shudder from the weight of it all. She blinked a few times as if to have missed something. The woman's cup moved, and before she knew it, the empty drink floated across the room, into the trash can. Lanna looked at where the cup had dropped for a few moments longer, before looking back to Kira. The woman looked pleased with herself. However, arrogance did not bother Lanna as long as it had the strength to match. It just made her want to discover more. And oh, how she believed Kira had the strength.

"You barely had to focus on that," Lanna said, with a grin. "You see, if I were to do it, I would have to concentrate really hard. Now there is nothing wrong with that, but when it comes to the battlefield, for instance, you only have so much time. Also, with all of your thoughts on one subject, you are wide open to being attacked. Would I be wrong in saying you did it subconsciously?" There was a gleam in her eye, for she thought she had it figured out. She leaned forward a little bit, resting her elbows on the table.

In a way, she was beside the comfort of her light saber. She did not need it, because in the moment she felt confident. The feeling could have been brought on by the underlining excitement she felt. Or it could have been because the situation challenged her mind in a way that she felt she could easily control.

They sat at a table off to the side of the exit. It was further in the corner of the café. Kira faced the room, while Lanna faced the wall. Something about it made her shift. The vent above them stopped blowing air, and several people left. Lanna continued to wait for Kira's response.

"Hmm?" Kira asked, idly pretending to not know what Lanna was referring to. She then glanced towards the trash receptacle and her eyebrows shot up, "Oh the cup? Well yes I suppose it was. I just needed to throw it away."

The cup move had been simple, but subtle. The devil was in the details, and Lanna certainly looked at the details. Kira had barely even devoted any outward attention to the gesture, making it look as easy as breathing to her, and on a level, it was. Kira gave a warm smile to Lanna,

"It's one thing that comes with experience and lots of training. Some of it Jedi training some... more independent studies. "

Kira was becoming more and more delighted with the moment. The girl was quite observant, and seemed pliable to Kira's prodding and suggesting. The two of them were an interesting pair, Kira's arrogance, though backed with power, and Lanna's wonder and humility. Kira's train of thought was interrupted, however, as the vent above them shut off, the noisy sound of air finally coming to a halt. Kira could sense Lanna becoming more enthralled with the idea of more power, and reaching one's potential. Now to see how far the girl would take that enthrallment.

Lanna folded her hands together, and rested them on her mouth as if she were concentrating. She looked at her own empty drink, letting go of any thoughts that had to do with anything else but lifting the cup. After a few long seconds, she lifted it and pushed it slowly to the trash can. Slightly parting her hands, edged it on further until it was over the trash can, and then she just dropped it. It fell with a papery tap.

She had not done it as swift and quickly as her acquaintance, but she had at least completed her objective. Her skills with the force were constantly being exercised through meditation and repetitive practice. She found that when she was alone with no distractions around her, she could easily manipulate the force. When other people had their eyes on her, she liked to get things just right. Of course, they did not typically go the way she hoped they would. She easily got sloppy, distracted, or frustrated. However, she tried not to show her displeasure with the way things went. She took note of her mistakes, and sought out to make corrections wherever she needed.

Looking back up at Kira, she gave a small smile. It looked almost, shy. The woman could have shot down her attempt easily without a second thought. She was brilliant after all. But naturally, Lanna hoped for otherwise. "I am obviously not as smooth as you are. But so far I have the gist of it. I can lift all different weights for the most part, and focusing is not that big of an issue for me. Though, I have loads of practice and meditation to thank for that." She sucked in a breath. "What did you do to become so good?"

It was likely she would say practice. That was the answer she expected, after all.

Kira allowed an impressed smile to grow onto her face as the girl focused on the cup. Inside she could recognize that it was the power level of a padawan, but the potential was there. Kira gave a light applause to Lanna, and sat up straighter in her chair. The next move she would make was a risky gamble. There was a high percentage chance that Lanna may turn her down - but there was also an equally high chance that Lanna would be too hooked on the power, too desperate to learn more, and follow her. So she seized upon the chance.

"Practice and meditation can take you a long ways for sure. That was quite impressive, especially for someone your age. I certainly participated in a significant amount of practice when I was a Jedi... however what has lead to the most tapped potential for me was leaving the Order."

She stood from her seat, and took a step backwards, towards the door. She kept her body facing both Lanna and the door, in an opening posture. Motioning to come with her, Kira gave a confident grin, "Would you like to learn more about the Force, Lanna?"

The girl sucked in a breath, feeling a bit light headed when the woman made the offer. There was a taste of something mysterious in the way she portrayed herself. Lanna was not so curious, as she was lustful. She cared little about the task of solving a mystery, but had more interest in what it could offer her. Usually she was discerning enough to be able to solve puzzles about people quick enough for them even to be considered mysteries. Of course, there were times when people were not so obvious. They were the type of people that did not carry the details of what they hid in their eyes, or on their lips. They were the types of people that could completely, without a doubt, fool the young Padawan.

In this case, she only got what she could describe as intense vibes from Kira. Intense strength, and intense independence. Intense passion. She had not been trained to believe that passion was a bad thing, but that balance was to be something to constantly strive for. Chaos was unacceptable, and it needed to be stifled by the Jedi. The fact of the matter was that Lanna was attracted to passion. She had been told before that she needed to be careful, and she believed she was being as cautious as she should have been. She was not going to leave the order. Well, she could not imagine leaving.

Getting to her feet, she stood a short distance away from the woman. "That offer just seems too tempting to decline." She played with the hem of her large coat sleeve. "Therefore I accept. But that does not change my stance on whether or not I stay with the Jedi. Knowing that, will you still offer your knowledge up to me? Of course, I will pay you back one day." She swallowed, looking up at Kira with wide eyes in anticipation. If she was doing something she knew she should not have been, she paid no mind to the subconscious nagging.

Kira's smile never deviated from anything save for pure confidence, and peace. The girl had sucked in a breath at Kira's offer, which only meant that she atleast somewhat understood the offer that was being presented to her. Contrary to the way that Kira typically liked to operate, she was unsure what Lanna would choose - whether she would choose the intrigue of power, or the safety of the light. She could feel the young girl probing and feeling her - and all she would feel was the intense passion, independence, and strength of the Lord of the Sith. She could feel the anxious nerves pouring off of the young girl, and she only hoped that they wouldn't be strong enough to hold her back from what Kira was offering. A moment later Lanna spoke, to seal her decision,

"Oh of course not!"
Kira almost seemed surprised, at least outwardly, that Lanna would imply such a thing. "I wouldn't demand you leave the Order Lanna. The path of your future is a path that each person must set out on for themselves. Who am I to tell you how to traverse that path? Of course I will still show you my perspective, and share with you my knowledge - that is the way of the Force. It is to be felt, to be wielded and surrendered to, not to be hoarded, kept in secret, and kept away from others. The only payment I require is your company, and an open mind."

Lanna was relieved to hear Kira's reply. She had not turned her down, which deep inside the pit of her stomach, she wished wouldn't be the case. It was nice that she had not been disappointed. It would not have hurt her so much, as it would have left a twinging feeling in her chest. Almost as if she had lost something she tried to grab onto, only to let it slip through her fingers. Then there would be a thin line of shame she would be too embarrassed to cross.

She was excited that she retrieved the opportunity to learn from this powerful force wielder. It was not that she wasn't content with the level she was at when it came to the force. She just wanted to get better. Lanna was a perfectionist, who would often feel an air of negativity surround her when she did not get something right. Her master had told her before that she needed to be patient with herself, and meditate away any frustrations she had with her progress. She did as he told her, and his methods worked. She was strict with herself when it came to meditation.

"I admire that philosophy," Lanna said after the words floated around in her mind, appealing to her. Unconsciously they may have been speaking kindly to her emotions. Whether or not that was the case, she paid no attention. She was currently focused only on the woman. "And thank you." She bowed her head once, looking back up through gleaming eyes. "If it's not too late, would you be okay with going for a walk? Maybe I could get a way to contact you." She walked closer to the woman's side, looking up at her a bit. Lanna smoothed down her cloak, and pulled the hood over her mass of hair once again.
