As he left, the girl brushed past him. He suddenly felt the slightest imprint on the Force from her. Had she reached out and touched him through the Force? Had she tried to tell him something? Or was she unaware she had the Force? He would ask her later, but as he followed the group a very pensive expression crossed his face.

''Now, first, we come to the scramble point, the starfighter launch bay. Marian, you shall probably be very interested here, so you may stay when we move on, to familiarise yourself. We have room for our two wings of fighters, with space for more. Moving on!'' He strode out the room, entering a large expanse, with a ring carved in the middle, by industrial laser. ''This is the training room for honing battle skills. A lot of the crewmen spend their time here. It houses training dummies, and suitable armour for one-on-one combat, with a maze to simulate a ship.'' He lef the the room, climbing a ladder, entering a relatively small room, each wall covered in screens, showing the view of the haven. ''The command hub, nestled within the structure, to monitor incoming bodies.'' He nodded gruffly to the bosuns monitoring the stations. They saluted the group. ''Any questions before i show you the dormitories?'' He turned.

Kyle simply shook his head. He liked this place and he was looking forward to meeting his men. He took his silver cigarette case and lit another one, this time he did not offer it around, though.

Marian broke off from the tour at the first stop, and tipped his hat to the rest as they left. Once they were gone, he walked down to the hangar floor. Murmurs among the technicians passed the word.

"It's Marian."
"Marian? The guy who writes poems?"
"What is he doing here?"
"He's the Fighter Squadron Commander."

Marian stopped one technician. "You. Tell me about our fighters' default capabilities."

Kamryn continued to follow Ivan on the tour of the faculties with a somewhat bored expression on her face. Does he ever stop smoking? she thought to herself as she watched Kyle take another cigarette out and lit it. She heard Ivan asked if anyone had any questions and she simply shook her head.

As he took his first draw from his cigarette he noticed that Kamryn was giving him a less than kind look. Before he dropped his gaze though, it was as though she said something but her lips did not move. He replied though, "Does my smoking bother you?"

Kamryn seemed taken aback that he would even say anything to her about it.
"I could care less if that is how you choose to die"

She said simply.

He shrugged. But her voice sounded different that time, and her lips moved. She definitely had the Force with her. She could prove to be a valuable asset in the future, but for now he had more important things on his mind.

''Very well. Let's go.'' Ivan climbed down the ladder, and turned throught he maze of corridoors. He came finally to an open area, with three large doors. ''Mine is that central room, there. With the skull sprayed on.'' It was a simple black monogram of a skull. ''And Left...'' Ivan walked down the corridoor, opening the first. ''Here is your room, Kyle. It has a console with links to all the necessary documents. You have gold level clearence on all channels. Your tour ends here. If you have questions, you'll find me in my office, the door on the right of my own room, after i have shown Kamryn her lodgings.'' He indicated for Kamryn to follow, and closed the door. ''I hate smoking'' he muttered.

''Default capabilities, sir?'' The engineer continued. ''The majority of fighters here contain one heavy blaster cannon, and a secondary slugthrower cannon. They have adequate shielding, and fifty-centimetre armour plating. There are, of course variations on the designs, but they are minimal.'' The engineer was unflappable. He had had to deal with one of Ivan's tirades... He still had the scar...

Kyle went into his room. It was quite roomy, bigger than the cabin on a ship. He put his cigarette out and sat at the desk and began to sift through the documents. He began to read up on his men. He liked to know about them. Every single one.

Marian nods, not failing to notice the fresh scar on the technician's cheek. "Continue with your work."

The pirate continued on down the hangar, questioning technicians at random, gathering information to know the limitations of his fighters, and the individual skill of his pilots.

"Then tell him he can't do it here"

She shrugged and followed him.

"But then again that would make you hypocritical, because you drink blood and we may hate that"

She smiled as she followed, waiting for his response.

''That is true, and i only have to see him when he isn't fighting, and someting tells me he will be spending alot of time with his men, so i won't see the habit often. And i could never give up my blood. I need to set an example.'' He grinned momentarily, before showing her the room. ''Now, this is yours. I hope it is up to standard. Any questions at all?''

Kamryn turned and looked at him, her blueish-gray eyes studying him for a few seconds.

"Yes, one, why do you drink blood?"

Ivan turned, a scowl on his face. ''I set an example. The blood i drink is from those who fail me, or try to rise up. I drink it to show that i have beaten them, and their carcass cannot even provide food, only their blood, which they were so willing to shed, can have that honour. I will be in my Office.'' Ivan walked off briskly, anger seeping from him, almost tangible in its strength.

Kamryn smirked, she loved angering people. She actually thrived on it and it was good to know that she could anger their fearless leader. She walked into her room and looked around. It was kinda dull, but she would fix it up eventually with stolen objects.

She still couldn't believe she was the only women in a crew full of boys. This would be interesting.

Kyle had resigned himself to his meditations. He had read a lot about his troops, but he would meet them the next day. He sat on the floor of his room, surprisngly peaceful considering his preofession and lifestyle. He thought about his knew colleagues. The boss was far from an enigma. He thrived on his imposing, scary nature. It did not bother Kyle, he seemed to get results. As for Marian, he was different, certainly. Quiet and reserved most of the time. Then he thought of Kamryn. She was certainly fiesty. He had a feeling she would cause him more trouble than the other two, despite the male ego clashes. She was Force Sensitive, and she did not know it, which could prove to his advantage. You never know, he thought, maybe she might make a good student. Then again, perhaps not. He let the Force flow through him, his holocron before him, lost in his meditations.
