As he was yelled at, Matt chuckled silently as he dashed around the battlefield, punching stormtroopers and tripping them. He realized that, to a complete stranger, what he was doing was downright suicidal. As the angry stranger yelled orders. Matt considered following them, and decided to do so.

"I'm up for it," he said, already walking to a hole he knew lead to a secret tunnel. He'd only been to the Emperor's Reatreat once before, on a less eventful day, yet he'd seen a man use this passage. Naturally, he had absolutely no idea where it lead, or where he was going. "Also, I'm not really a brat, more of a... err.... rebel," he murmured, then chuckled.

Matt began walking down the narrow tunnel, hoping he hadn't messed up. There could be others in here, and this was an inadequate place to duel.

Norin felt pain that was for sure, with the burns from the blaster shots he wasn't going anywhere, of course that didn't stop him from trying yet the Rebel medics would freak out an demand him to just lay down, an would force him down every time Norin would get up. Norin felt embarrassed an his pride was hurt because of the need for medical attention, but as he let the medics do there thing he saw the bodies of the injured within the Emperor's retreat increase an Norin again felt the need to do something but just as the last time he tried he failed, with the pain an the Rebel medics forcing his body to lay down again. He felt a growing concern that his allies were going to fail an they would all be slaughter just like his own people, he shock his head trying to fight off the concern growing within him. 'This was battle' he told himself people die all the time. But Norin still wasn't going to sit back an watch he knew that there wasn't much they could do against the AT-AT's what he did was just plain luck, so the Rebels needed to focus on the next big thing, Norin was brain storming trying to find out a way for the Rebels to have more of a chance at winning. Than it hit him when the medics were finished with patching him off causing Norin to hiss out in pain.

"Alright no more action for you, you were lucky enough as it is." The Rebel doctor said to the Mandalorian out of concern for his live, the medic saw some of what the Mandalorian did in the fight an didn't want to lose someone who was winning to help the Rebels.

Norin saw that the medic treating him had a communicator on his wrist and with surprising speed and strength grabbed onto his wrist.

"L-let me use this." Norin was still hurting so his voice wasn't as threating but it still got the medic's attention which the Medic just nodded.

"Any one who can hear this if you aren't doing anything we need you to take out the AT-ST walkers they are ripping apart the Rebels, an be quick about it before they aren't any Rebels left to save." Norin let go of the medics wrist an the medic walked away as quick as he could to help tend to others an get away from the crazy Mandalorian.

To be honest, Adrasteia would have been bit impressed with the pilot's recovery. She would have thought he would have been a bit more injured from the blast, but he was apparently made of much tougher stuff than she'd expected. That said, all of those thoughts were a bit beyond her at this point. Rage flowed through her veins as blood trickled down her cheek from the three open scratches. When her foe got up, Adrasteia hoped that he would attack her. She nearly begged him to. After all, it was particularly unsatisfactory to slaughter an enemy as they ran away.

So he charged, and Adrasteia readied herself. His speed and skill in the attack nearly caught her off-guard. The only thing that saved her was his actual attack. A power-slide to her side aimed at her legs. Normally this would pose a much more dire threat. However, he was holding the knife in a reverse-grip. This would be his final mistake. The reverse grip was, for all intents and purposes, a way to reinforce a weapon by using a different center of force for the weapon so when it made contact, it would theoretically allow more force to be applied using the wrist. It could also be used to mess with an opponent's timing of an attack since the blade followed the hand rather than led it. The downside was fairly obvious in that something like a super-strong Force-imbued punt to the forearm during the slash could stop the attack completely.

Adrasteia's kick was strong enough to shatter bones and would cause the knife to sail out of the Farghul's hand with enough power to embed itself in a wall many meters away. This fight was about to end.

One AT-AT was down. It's cockpit having been ravaged by insurgent counter-attacks directed at its massive head. Another AT-AT had been stalled temporarily by the doomed walker backing into it, but that was only momentary. A few groups of sappers had been wiped out as well by the defenders. However, all-in-all, the tide of battle was still firmly in the grip of the Imperium. This was simply logical.

"Sir, the Rebel forces are pulling back to the Emperor's Retreat. We have them on the run, sir."

"That is fantastic news, Major. Continue your attack but do not destroy the Retreat. I've something special in mind for that."

"Yes, sir."

Overhead, TIE squadrons maintained a tight grasp on the local air space and occasionally made strafing runs. It was important to note that the TIE bombers, on the other hand, were decidedly not engaging. Their orders were clear. Plus it seemed some of the teams of sappers had done their job. Six large buildings in a five-block proximity to the entrance to the Retreat exploded in massive plumes of smoke and fire. Imperial walkers continued to pound what few pockets of resistance were left.

As Matt walked down the tunnel, he could feel the ground shaking, and he could hear the roars and screams of those above him. When an extreme quake made him stumble, and cheers rung from above, Matt knew an AT-AT had fallen, but unlike the others, he didn't have a communicator, since he just happened to be on Naboo when the warfare began.

Matt neared a door, then stopped. It was the end of the tunnel, so he crouched and listened in. The entrance was relatively quiet, except for a couple of angry shouts and pounding of footsteps on marble. As he opened the door, Matt realized he was now facing a staircase, which he climbed, only to reach another door. With an exasperated sigh, he opened it slowly, and realized he was in a bush. Matt walked outside slowly, looking around carefully. Where else could he be other than behind an AT-AT. It loomed above him, and troopers were pouring out, immediately shooting at anything that moved. Matt had no communication with the others, so he knew he'd have to act on his own.

"Well then."

He ran, crouching, to the AT-AT's foot, and hopped on it, using his lightsaber to grip onto the surface. The walker quivered, and Matt nearly fell off, but he stayed on. The only thing he could do now was use the troopers' exit as an entrance.

Prospero sat at his sniper's perch and sighed. Things were quickly turning from bad to worse. The air to ground strafes were hard to counter with the little demolitions they had. The walkers tore them up on the ground. But...the bombers weren't hitting them, despite their fly-bys. Why? He tried to remember back to where their bombs had punched holes in their resistance by memory. Drawing a small map in his head, he did his best to figure out the reason for their held fire. Eventually, he made the revelation in his head. "Everybody, the museum is a high-value target to them. They're trying not to hit it with collateral damage for now. Anybody in the museum will be safer from anything heavy, but those infantry and walkers need to be dealt with. Does anybody have any long range comms? If we can call in the flyboys or somebody in orbit to detonate us some sort of EMP or nuclear device above atmosphere, we might have a chance of frying all the electronics in the area. Even the fight out some. Long shot, but I'm still open to ideas here."

An incredibly long shot, but it was the only conceivable thing he could think of besides trying to keep things in a state of bloody attrition. For now, all Prospero could do was sight in on the biggest infantry threats and take solid hits at them. Squad leaders, medics, then the others. That would be the order. Many targets fell within the view of his scope. Another magazine, empty, was ejected and replaced. "Somebody establish long-range comms and get us some orbital bombardment on that Destroyer. It's our only chance right now. If we can get them to falter and we get that first wave taken care of, that time in between will be invaluable." Prospero continually tried to advise over the radio, but he was unsure if there was enough manpower to even do what he was suggesting, or if people were willing to listen.

As Prospero continued his sniper support to combat the first large wave of infantry, his mind began to formulate ideas. They didn't have an objective. All it was, was defend the city. Defend the city might as well translate into repelling the Imperium. They all needed to die...and there were too many. Yet, they wanted the museum. The rebels didn't want the museum, but it was their only safe haven at the moment...in a strange sense of the word. However, he had heard comm chatter about using an underground tunnel or sewer system to move about. As the recoil against his shoulder indicated another round being launched downrange, his attention was suddenly drawn to what had resulted as per his shot. The round has penetrated through a medic trying to save his commander. The round bounced and struck a tank of fuel used by one of their squad's sappers. It ignited and slowly burst into an explosion of fire. A happy accident. Prospero would formulate an endgame from this.

"If we can't turn the tide and push them back after this first wave...hold them at a distance. Pack every detpack, rocket, missile, grenade, anything that goes boom into the museum. Hide it good. We fill the place with IEDs, make a retreat into the tunnels or just back out the other way...make it convincing. Then we give those Imps the museum. Just as a last resort, hm?" His transmission would end as he lobbed another 7.62 slug down his line of fire, connecting with a trooper trying to shoulder a launcher of some sort.

As Corto pulled the harness on the downed trooper he suddenly felt the man’s weight pulled away from him. A female Jedi up ahead used the force to finish dragging the downed trooper to cover which afforded Corto the opportunity to find cover himself. “Thanks Jedi. Name’s Corto and we’re the closest thing to reinforcements you’re getting at the moment,” he said before the two of them went back to engaging the enemies. It seemed that they were slowly cutting down the number of Imperials from the dropships but as they made progress in one area, it appeared the main assault force was just drawing closer.

They were going to lose this battle unless they took out those walkers. Looking at the defenders in the museum he paid a quick visit to the wounded soldiers looking for ordnance that the men may have had that they weren’t using. Looking around, he found a rocket launcher but unfortunately he could only scavenge up two rockets for it. Better two than zero. He picked up the launcher and slung it over his back. At approximately twenty pounds this weapon was going to slow his speed considerably but he hoped he would be able to get some others to go with him and provide support.

“If we just keep falling back and fighting defensively we’re going to lose this fight,” he said on short-range comms. “There’s at least two more AT-ATs out there pounding our troops. I’ve worked around these things before and their belly armor is weak. If we put a rocket or two into its belly, I think we can take it down, but I could really use some support in this. I can’t do it myself.”

With his piece said he began making his way out of the building and into the line of fire. He nearly tripped over the accumulating rubble in the street but after a few moments he was able to make his way to the cover of another nearby building. Looking back he could see a small group of others had followed him to assist. Now, with the cover of a building, they could make their way to the two walkers that were temporarily stranded by the recently incapacitated lead walker.

Norin was still injured but his pride wasn't going to let the Mandalorian sit still for to long, he had hear over the communicators that some foolish Rebel wanted to pack the Museum with explosives, than let the Imperials have it to only let it blow up in their faces. Norin could only think of how despite that was an dishonorable it would be to actually use such a tactic but with the numbers of injured Rebels increasing it might be the only resort there is left. With what energy he had left he pulled himself up, a Rebel nearby saw him getting up an ran towards him the Rebel thinking what this kiffing fool doing.

"Hey mandalorian lay down your in no shape to do anything." Norin just looked at the man with his harshs glare and got up ignoring the whiny Rebel.

The Rebel tried reasoning with the Mandalorian but got nowhere with it an just gave up after a little while. Now with Norin free with his own thoughts he began thinking of what needed to do to make this place go boom, he began walking or limping towards his fellow wounded comrades but who seems to be crying or screaming from the pain. After approaching one of the screaming Rebels he saw the issue the Medics hadn't be able to get to him, the poor Rebel's shoulder was burned an bloody. But the Mandalorian knew how to help an already was taking out his medical kit. After tending to the man's wounds an shutting him up, by knocking him out, it was just a single punch but Norin was surprise by how much energy an strength he still had left.

"Listen hear Wimps I need you to do something simple that even you whiny Rebels could do, grab any explosives you can get an plant them around the Museum, I don't care where you get them if you have to go through your friends bodies do it there is no dishonor by letting your friends give you one more chance at killing some imperials." They all looked confused though they did heard something about planting explosive but didn't think they were actually going to do it.

"But, I don't think we have-"

"Listen hear you wimp you will do this or I will leave you a scar that will stay with you forever besides there has to be enough explosives I don't care what you think go an do it now." Norin growled to get his point across that got the injured Rebels running around or limping around grabbing explosives and putting them on the walls, an other places.

Norin wasn't happy about it but this might just be there best option he doubted the Jedi would like it but it is the Rebels best choice an could even out the numbers if this went according to plan.

The Rebels outside were entrenched an fighting as hard as they could but they were out numbered an outgunned yet they weren't going to back down this was Naboo a peaceful world that was dragged into the Imperials sight because of them they might be cowardly at times but they won't yet this world that was once a beautiful gem of freedom and tranquility be destroyed by the Empire, with several of the AT-AT's down the Rebels, Naboo security and Gungans felt a growing hope like they could actually win an began fighting harder, an they were either at the Museum or doing hit an run tactics against the Imperials using the old tunnels which was starting to work against the Imperials ,the battle might still be in the favor of the Imperials but it might just change real soon.

As some of the rebels were applying cables from buildings to the Emperor's Retreat, Saviin was preparing to move across the ones on his building. This was interrupted when an AT-AT fired at the building next to his. He witnessed those ontop of the roof be incinerated with the heavy blaster fire.

Their screams echoed as the building crumbled to rubble. It was time they got off their own roof. "On those cables, quickly." he said desperately not wanting any of then fall to the same fate. They did not waste any time in grabbing the cables sliding across.

Some Rebels were suggesting offenses and even blowing up the Emperor's Retreat. There had to be a better option. The jedi thought the building could be held by the Rebels. Some were already protecting it and with their numbers they may be able to the small Imperium landing party in the heart of Char at bay.

There was still a matter of the marching forces. It was then that the man realized the demolitions layed down at the beginning of the battle had not been used. Bombs had been placed at the entrance of the city and a short way up the road. Rebel forces had been overrun and were too busy retreating to ever set them off.

"Do not blow up the Emperor's Retreat! We can take it over. We just need time. There are demolitions in the main road of the city. Any rebel forces listening, find a way to detonate them! It will slow the enemy if we succeed." Saviin shouted over his wrist comm as he slide across the cable.

He ignited his lightsaber and blocked several blaster shots aimed to kill him. Jedi Junar landed through a second floor window of the Retreat. Rebels could be heard fortifying the position inside. More rebels would be needed to assert control of the building if at all possible, but Saviin would join them in their hour.

When Norin heard the man say to not blow up the Emperor's Retreat he snorted an thought that this man didn't know anything of battle. He grabbed a communicator an spoke to the Rebels.

"Don't stop planting explosives this is a last case scenario, an if your so keen on helping out you better focus on those explosives you mention or the tanks the Imperials have they have been killing your comrades, now don't question me." Norin thought that if any fool hasn't heard about last case scenario's than he shouldn't making decisions and should be more focus on fighting on the battle.

He looked outside an saw that the Rebels were entrenching themselves pretty nicely around the Museum an was doing a alright job for just surviving, if they could just thin out the Imperials numbers some how they could turn this around but Norin was too weak an exhausted to think of battle strategy's an continue to oversee the planting of explosives. If the person says something again about stopping the planting of explosions he was going to be angry. Though injured Norin decided that just watching Rebels planting explosive were boring an pointless an decided to tend to the Rebels with his helmet under his arm he walked up to some injured Rebels and began to work on there wounds, he put his helmet next to him as he made sure the whiny Rebels didn't die.

Shar gasped in pain as his arm broke. His senses sharpened and reality snapped into focus with the suddenness of a cracking pane of glass. He jumped out of the powerslide and took another leap to put distance between them. He held his injured arm close in, and with the other, drew his blaster. "If you can't handle my jokes, then you need to take a huuuuge chill pill. I know a guy where you can get them. He sells the most amazing stuff from the Corellian blackmarket. But seriously. Good lord woman." He then ran at the woman, firing his blaster from his outstretched arm. He would not disappoint this woman. He would give a good showing for the Navy pilots. He would show this Sith that force sensitives weren't the only ones that could fight.

He knew he was going to die. This chick was as crazy as they came. A few meters from the Sith he jumped, launching himself into a diving kick as she had done. But unlike her, he had learned a different variation. His leading leg was straight out, the force behind her variant of the strike. Then his raised leg snapped out, his heel flew at her face to meet her nose. "At least you'll have those scratches to remind yourself of me, hotstuff."

Aluae came to a stop inside the third building she had found, breathing quicker than normal. She needed to rest quickly so that she could continue to fight, having used a fair amount of the Force so far had somewhat sapped her resources. She felt out with the Force and didn't feel anyone nearby, so she she moved to sit in a dark corner and meditated for a few minutes, just to clear her mind if nothing else. She heard the reports of the rebels coming in - and given how much trouble they were having with just this relatively small forward task force, she knew this fight was already lost. All they could do now was try to buy time for the civilians to escape.

Then there was a message that came through from the imperials about surrendering. It was hard to make out, but it seemed to be offering something like amnesty for anyone who laid down their arms. Well, that was probably going to be ignored, though she kind of wished that anyone who had been dragged in to this just because the Jedi and Rebels were here would take them up on it. She didn't want their deaths on her hands; she was sure there were already some she could point to as being her fault. Or at least the fault of the Jedi and Rebels presense here.

She stood then and moved to the opposite entrance to the one she had come in by, this one opening up on to a street instead of an alley. She peered out to see there didn't appeae to be any troopers, then turned to her right and jogged down this street. She stopped when she came to an intersection and.. She realized she had no idea where she was, or which direction the actual battle was. She should still be able to hear it though, right? She hadn't gone all -that- far. She stopped and concentrated, extending her senses through the Force. There is was, the distant din of blaster fire, and much louder explosions coming out as well.

She felt something closer, though. Darkness and anger, rather large amounts of both, and evil hanging over it all. She had felt this before; last time it had been a Sith that she had nearly come in to contact with. She turned and started to move towards it, staying close to the buildings on the close side of the street as she made her way as quickly as she could manage. Coming to a stop and peering around the corner she bore witness to something she.. Certainly hadn't been expecting. What appeared to be an Imperial pilot was engaging in melee combat with the one who was giving off all the anger through the Force. She assumed it was a Sith but... Why would they be fighting? She shifted slowly in to a crouch to watch, curiosity taking hold of her. Infighting among the Imperials was certainly something the rebels could use right about now.

: He heard someone calling out on the comm's about the museum and ducking to press his back against the pod he looked at the museum and realized that he was stuck between it and the oncoming imperial's and looking down at the radio he crossed his finger's mentally and slid the comm's on " i have an idea, give me a second " and he winced. Pulling out a small comm it was imperial standard and he had kept it since his day's in the imperial army and tuned into their current frequency and heard the chatter, opening the channel he clicked on the mic and shouted " this is Sargent James Andromeda of the 5th, we have visual's of incoming bomber's your way, i repeat, incoming bomber's, check your damn tail and take them out ". He hoped that with all the troop's on the ground it would give them a few minutes of confusion to allow the rebel's to re-gather, he knew it was a low trick to use his brother but he knew he would not feel sorry for saving as many lives as he good.

Suddenly spotting a shadow appearing beside the pod he rose and turning he fired as the trooper appeared and the large slug slammed into the side of the helmet, he was thrown sideways and as Damien stepped out from behind cover he growled and chambered another round with a quick pump. Lifting the gun he fired again causing a group of trooper's to dive for cover as the slug slammed into the side of a building barley missing another, opening the Rebel's comm's he yelled " what are they doing? " and he hoped his gambit had worked and it had sown confusion. As he ducked behind the pod a barrage of blaster fire slammed into it and he snarled " oh frack this " and reached down to his thigh and pulled out two thermal detonator's, flicking the switches he turned and threw them around the pod and ducked for a second.

The world shook and turned into hell as fire and shrapnel erupted from the grenade and suddenly he stood and stepped back from behind the pod to fire once again, he growled and flicked the comm's " Can i at least get some fracking help here? " and his HUD began to light up as more trooper's emerged from behind the building's.

Jade, having dropped down with the latest wave of reinforcements, had been making her way towards the museum, cutting down rebels as she passed them, when she saw the drop-pod hurtle down from the sky. By now, the men and women she had killed and having kept herself open to the Force through it all had brought out the darker side of her psyche. She had turned into a cold, callous killing machine, concerned not with her love or hatred for the Sith Order, but simply with getting the job done, and as bloodily as she could at that. Already before her lay nothing but a pile of bodies, taken out by her own blade and the squad that hd been following her. The squad had since moved off to follow other orders while she had continued moving straight ahead, her path to the museum broken by the fallen pod.

Reaching the scene of the crash just as the man who had appeared from it was trying out his trick with the comms, she couldn't help but chuckle at the futility of it. She knew not that his comm was antiquated, or that the protocols and encryptions that protected the channels were ones he did not have access to, but she could see that his attempt at spreading misinformation among the Imperial ranks seemed to have failed as none of what he said came out of the earpiece she wore.

Smile widening, continuing her slow walk towards him as grenades exploded and more soldiers moved towards his position, she finally reached out with the Force as he started shouting out for help. Picking up pieces of rubble that lay scattered behind him, she sent them flying one after the other at neck-breaking speeds for the man. Prices of plaster and rock varying in size from the size of her head to three to four times that size, they would slam all over his body if he did not move, and caught up with the troopers as he was, she had a good chance of catching him unawares. But if he dodged, well then things would get a little interesting. The ones that squirmed and struggled were always the best prey.

Norin was done with patching up most of the rebels he decided to look at the battle an saw that things were getting really desperate out there an if things didn't change soon no amount of patching were going to help the Rebels. He had remember what the Rebel said an decided that using those explosives was there best option deciding that the rebels had both secure the Emperors retreat and limped outside an used his right hand to hold his left shoulder while he left hand used his brothers TASKMASTER MK-II pistols to fired several rounds into the imperials while he limped towards the building an used the backalleys to head forward towards where the imperials had come marching down that has to be the area where the explosives are. As he began limping around he had several close calls with AT-ST walkers and had to escape a group of imperials not wanting to push his luck. He eventually saw the imperials marching down the main road to the museum with several AT-ST escorting the marching Imperial army. Norin needed to find those explosive quickly if he wanted to save the Rebels, as he continue looking through the buildings next to the main road he meet up with 4 imperials around a catch of explosives, he fired his pistol at each of them except one with there attention mainly at the explosives in front of them they didn't see it coming. The last imperial has turned around with his pistol but he wasn't quick enough and Norin shot his foot and hand the imperial screamed out in pain an was on the floor Norin approached the fallen imperial an holstered his pistol an took out his combat knife from his boot and put the knife on to the imperials neck.

"Did you disarm the explosives?" The imperial didn't answer at first but after Norin pressed the knife closer to his neck the imperial reconsidered his option.

"I-I didn't d-disarm it yet.." Norin felt hope build up within him an could really change this battle around.

"Where is the detonator?" His voice came out loud and clear which which cause the imperial became more worried.

"I-I don't know please I have a family" The Mandalorian that stood onto of him with his expressionless helmet he didn't know if he was going to survive he only hoped he can plead his way out of this.

"Than they will know you died on the battle field with honor." The imperial gave a last plead before the knife cut open his neck an bleed out.

"Damn what am I going to do now?" Norin was alone so he wasn't talking to anyone.

He looked out an saw the imperials marching onward with the AT-ST walkers escorting the storm troopers. Norin tried thinking of what to do until a insane idea came to him. He grabbed both his pistols an walked towards the window and began firing at the imperials an gave a nearby AT-ST's a few shots once he was done he began to limp out of the building an away he saw the AT-ST fire upon the building eventually hitting the Explosives causing a chain reaction an explosives from the right side of the main road began going off throwing around the imperials destroying a few AT-ST's and killing dozens of imperials.

Norin was throw onto the ground after the explosion an when he looked back he saw the imperials on the ground trying to regroup but with serious casaulities. He decided to limp towards the other side of the road the imperials to focus on regrouping to notice his slow an limping figure once across he checked to see if there were any other explosions but luck wasn't on his side as he couldn't find other explosives Norin decided to limp back to the Museum slowly an with new bruises. Smiling to himself that he could help out the best he could, and killed so many imperials.

The feeling and sound of bone shattering were some of the greatest sensations Adrasteia had ever felt. The inhuman monster that the young woman had become grinned a little as she turned around to face him. The smile vanished when he reached for his blaster. Caught out in the open without her armor to protect her, this would be the end of the monster. Some small part of her welcomed it. The rest of her, however, did the only thing it could think of. The Aegis flew to her hand with the Force in a flash. She didn't even have the time to affix it properly in her hand before the first blaster bolt hit. She activated the ray shield and held on to the handle with both of her hands.

Of course, this meant that the shield was easily kicked aside by the Farghul's first strike, and his second hit home quite solidly. Her super-dense bones creaked a bit under the staggering blow. Still, the titaness did not fall. Her recovery was swift and brutal. Suddenly, Adrasteia was standing back at her full height and the fires of hell were in her eyes. The shield clattered to the ground as her right arm snapped out towards the pilot. Her hand wrapped around his throat and tightened to an iron vise. Air flow would be constricted and as would his blood flow.

Adrasteia watched as he struggled with futility as he realized that his life was in serious jeopardy. As he fought with her, she grabbed his undefended right side near his waist and used both arms to lift him high into the air. The beast turned and took three quick steps before slamming the helpless pilot...directly onto the lip of the fountain wall. The force enough would be enough to snap his spine, and that's not even considering that she placed a lot of the downward force on his neck.

He would be broken.

Saviin looked about the magnificent retreat of the once famed Soth Lord. It didn't look like anything particularly evil. In fact, it just seemed like the home of any wealthy Naboo citizen. Marble walls and floor made the jedi almost forget he was in a war zone for a short moment, but the sound of battle outside quickly brought him back to the present.

Snapping his head left and right, he had a decent number of rebel forces around him. "Alright, I want men on every window and at every exit in this place." He knew they would have to be well established to hold this building against the relentless Imperium. Men, Gungans, and a few members of other species nodded in agreement. They dispersed throughout the floor.

There were others ready to hold the main floor. Saviin walked along the second floor railing. As he passed windows, he realized half of the Emperor's Retreat sat on the edge of a cliff looking out over a lake. Continuing on the railing, the man moved down the stairs to the center of the first floor. He was meeting with this group of rebels now for the first time. "Men what munitions do you have remaining." He looked about as many of the rebels lie wounded and bleeding on the retreat floors. More and more were pouring in; each looking worse than the last.

After hearing the rebel reply with the answer on munitions, it was time to fortify the retreat. Unimaginable forces were preparing to exterminate their resistance and they had to be prepared. Moving towards the front of the retreat doors. He realized that the AT-AT's were not attacking the building. The jedi grew worried. What did they know? What could they be doing? His thoughts started racing.

There needed to be a backup plan. This place had to have an escape route somewhere. It belonged to the Emperor after all. He turned a pair of Gungans. "Please. Can you search the lower level for anything that could possibly be an exit. We will need a strategy to get out of this city." Saviin pleaded.

The pair of Gungans nodded "Don'ta worry jedi. Weesa find one." One of them ensured before moving out to the lower level.

This could work the man thought to himself. He filled himself with the power of the Force calling upon it for strength. Jedi Junar used this strength to begin lifting furniture with the Force. He held them in the air for a moment and began placing them in from if the windows. Rebels for out of the way and quickly joined in his effort to barricade any entrances.

Matt looked up at the behemoth. "I can't take this thing down by myself," he murmured, then looked down at all the troopers and rebels fighting. "I'm gonna need some help." He leaped down, his cloak flying up, and landed on a stormtrooper. Matt hadn't jumped from a very high place, although he'd managed to snap his neck. Shrugging, he picked up the trooper's gun and slung it over his shoulder, then dashed into the bushes, trying to find a way around the building, or at least another Jedi.

At last, he saw a man who seemed to be having trouble. He wasn't dying or anything, but he just seemed distressed. As though he needed help, and you wouldn't need telepathic powers to know that, since he'd just yelled, "Can I at least get some fracking help here?"

Matt walked over to him. "Yes, you can get some fracking help here. Name's Matt Astroseph, Jedi Padawan." He stuck his hand out for a handshake. Halfway through, Matt realized he was on a battle field and the man could be an Imperial, and he silently reached for his saber with the other hand.

Then he noticed a shape, or more accurately more than one shape hurling at the man, strong enough to kill him, if they would hit. Matt unsheathed his saber, and it ignited with a woosh. Sadly, however, all Matt could do was fight whoever had thrown the debris at the man. He wasn't strong enough to use the Force to catch them yet, something he regretted.

Progress wasn’t going well. The Imperials had done quite a remarkable job of locking down the area around the stranded walkers. Between the AT-STs and the infantry Corto hadn’t even gotten close. With one rocket already used to destroy an AT-ST that had opened fire on him that left only one rocket for the AT-AT, and he was fairly confident that he was not going to be able to do much, if anything, to the far larger and more dangerous AT-AT with one shot.

With his plan failing, he opted to pull back to the Emperor’s Retreat with the remaining rocket. Maybe they could use it there. As he returned, he could see that the people within had begun to barricade the remaining windows and doors and he slipped in just before a large cabinet was placed in front of it. That’s it then. Hopefully our work today has at least done something to help the larger cause. They may have been driven back but they weren’t out of the fight yet.

As he made his way into the building he ran across a group of Gungans scouring the lower levels of the building. That seemed a little strange given the fact that they needed every hand on deck for the fighting. “What are you doing?” “Weesa looking for deesa other exit to deesa building.” Well that made sense then. They certainly weren’t going to leave through the front and their backs were up against a proverbial wall. A secret exit, if it existed would be critical.

After several minutes of helping the Gungans search they found it. It was a secret panel with a large cabinet in front of it. The panel gave way with a slight push and revealed a staircase that proceeded downward. Corto ran down the stairs and saw that at its bottom was a short tunnel that ultimately emptied into the sewers.

It wasn’t a glorious exit but it would keep them alive. Flipping on his short-range comms he reported, “Rebels within the Emperor’s Retreat, the Gungans have found a passage on the bottom most level of the Retreat. It leads into the sewers. That’s our way out when we need it.” And there was no question they would need it. They would hold out as long as they could, but there was no way they could hold here forever. Live to fight another day.

"Excellent work soldiers!" the jedi announced over the rebel comms to the man and the two Gungans. "When the time comes, I hope you all can make it down there." This was a glimmer of hope in the darkness. Both proverbial and literal. The dark skies were growing above Char. A downpour was about to rain down, but for now thunder was heard in the distance.

There was something else in the distance. A dark force within the city. Saviin could sense it. He was one of the few in the city who were trained to combat such a force; a Sith.

Scanning the main level of the Emperor's Retreat, the man felt that the rebels inside were as prepared as they would ever be. There were blocked windows and soldiers stationed at every entrance armed with any ammunition that had made it this far.

Pacing to the main door, the jedi opened it merely by reaching out his hand. Two wounded soldiers entered before Saviin Junar stepped out. Blaster fire was fired back and forth between the two opposing sides. Saviin would return to aid them if he proved successful. Until then, he would be in a fight for his life.

He sprinted across the street into the nearest alley way. From there, he followed his senses. The darkness pulled him closer with each block. Finally he came to the street. A woman of the dark side battling what seemed to be a fellow Imperium. It mattered little. He would do what he must.

Igniting his blue saberstaff, the jedi awaited his test.

Norin was limping along trying to get closer to the Museum to hopefully see to the final stand of the Rebellion, using back alleys and building to safely avoid most of the Imperials. But luck had ran out for him when he heard the sound of the drop pod landing, he was curious and got concern about the source of the noise the limping Mandalorian had walked towards the window of the abandon building and as he looked out saw a heavily armored man with plenty of weapons attacking the Imperials. The scene had made Norin felt happy seeing such a great warrior fight, the warrior had use grenade launchers against the Imperials. Norin took the time to rest and continue to watch the man kill Imperials in the dozens, but eventually a dark presence fell upon Norin, which had gotten his attention unknown to him he was feeling the Sith that had appeared onto the battle field she radiated darkness, evil and bloodlust.

Norin was in no shape to go and fight a Sith but his blood and rage in seeing someone who could be held responsible for the death of his entire family over ruled his rational half and began walking out towards the Sith woman. Norin than notice the sith was about to kill the warrior that came from the drop pod by throwing rubble at the warrior and he made up his mind on fighting this sith an ending her live.

"Get down burc'ya NOW! THE SITH ARE HERE!" The last bit he yelled louder than he meant for it to be but the rage had began to grow into an unstoppable force within him, he could even felt the pain going away almost like he was able to ignore it and fight just as strong as if he was in good condition.

Norin's hands quickly shot to his holsters, retrieving a TASKMASTER MK-II blaster pistol in each hand. Trigger fingers rapidly moving, the rebel attempted to empty both of the eight-round magazines at the Sith adversary making it a grand total of sixteen shots at the Sith. Given the rumors and respect of the Sith, he was doubtful that any of these shots would hit their mark, but it was his best option. With his carbine on his back almost forgotten he left a itching need to grab the beskad but it wasn't time yet.
