Star Wars Episode 7 Plot Rumors: Movie to be Shot on Film, Millenium Falcon to Return?

Looks like J.J. Abrams will be sticking film, rather than digital. Glad to see this isn't being shot in 3D.

Not sure if this is old news to everyone, and it's not a whole lot to discuss, but it's something. Thought I'd share it with everyone if it hasn't been already.

All I have to say is that I watch Star Trek again last night and if there is any amount of unnecessary lens flare in Star Wars I don't think it'll be something I can own on DVD. Especially in said lens flare comes from Engines, Blaster Fire, or Lightsabers.

I don't think the lensflares will be in Star Wars. The idea behind those lensflares was that the Federation future is so squeaky clean and bright that those flares are naturally occurring. Star Wars doesn't have that kind of squeaky clean feel, so it wouldn't make sense.
