One of the good things about Corellia had always been that people respected credits - they would do a lot for the right amount of credits. Not to the same extent as people from, say, Nar Shadaa but it was enough that he had been able to convince the owners of a small-time diner to give him the space for a few hours to host his little meeting.

He had put out feelers, across the Galaxy, through contacts he had made as a mercenary and as someone who had designs beyond merely surviving fighting other people's wars for them.

His own war needed waging but to do so he needed material with which to combat his foes... step one, however, was to bring together a group who could assist him in gathering the materials he needed. Aden he had worked with before and he knew to be a rather straight forward man - he appreciated that and any insight the other man might have in those who answered his call.

He'd put out the word and the word was good; Weapons and Credits, for those with the stomach to take them.

Settling behind the counter of the empty diner, Walt pulled a cold bottle of a soft drink he didn't remember the name of, free from the fridge as he waited.

Who would come and who would be worth working with?

Time to find out.

It was odd coming back to Corellia again.

Once Aden heard about what the heist was for, that really piqued Aden's interest. The thought of getting his hands on on a cache of military grade equipment on Anaxes wasn't something that could be passed on. The weapons could benefit Apex and Aden himself. Plus there is credits. What is not to like about getting more of the almighty credit?

Aden has worked with Walt before, knows who he is and knows what he can do. If he's pulling a bunch of people for a job like this, this would definitely be worth it.

The Senior Apex Contractor was the first to come into the empty diner and then take a seat, siting comfortably. With a smirk, he would then greet him "Hello again" he simply said.

And with that, Aden would see who else would be coming into the meeting place. Maybe familiar names and faces, or unfamiliar ones.

It had been a rough few months for Yossk, with the kidnapping of his father and his exile from his home planet. The smashing of his prized naval vessel Power Slave had him reeling, along with the temporary loss of his arm and permanent loss of his left eye. The former stump of his left arm had been growing rather well, the entire elbow forming with even some of the forearm coming in. But he still required the use of a ramshackle bionic limb he hollowed out to act as a prosthetic.

With an eyepatch covering his ruined eye, and a long black duster coat paired with his usual Gundark skin shoulder cape thrown over his regenerating arm's shoulder, he stepped into the room with the same pride and power he always had. He had his saber at his right hip and his vibro-axe at his left, each giving a soft clatter as he made each footfall. His single reptilian eye nearly glowed yellow with how bright it was and it was clear he already was taking the group in and forming his plan around it.

"Yossssk Wassssak," he spoke softly, his voice still harsh as all Trandoshans tend to be "former warmasster of Trandosha and sson of former ssenator Rrodossssk Wassssak. I greet you." He nodded to each of the members in the diner as he made his way for a booth. Today he would try something different. Today he would enter negotiations alone. No guards nor crew nor back up. Just him, and his saber and axe.

He sat so his back would be as close to the wall as possible to stare down at the door. If he really needed to he could bridge the distance in seconds, all the while igniting his saber, and cut down whatever foe would dare enter. Yet with at least one being here Yossk felt as if he would be a better first line of defence. Apex, no doubt. One of their senior members. The Trandoshan's expression did not change at all but inside he made sure to note this being down for later. They might just be useful.

The Mandalorian's helmet would look around the establishment with a calm scan before finding his associates. Two of the present attendees had worked with Rancor Squadron and Kotii had personally worked with them each on at least one occasion. But the one organizing this heist was Walt Bosmar and he was a new face for Black Hand.

Leaving the doorway, the armored silhouette took on detail that would indicate he was a member of Rancor Squadron, House Solus and well armed Guild member at that. He was carrying licensed weaponry befitting a bounty hunter of his station. However he was not carrying anything that would land him in jail for just holding. This was the core and he knew that fact limited what he could have on him.

The Mandalorian strode towards the counter with an even pace. "Archer" He gave the man a nod as he past. His T visor centered on Yossk a moment later. "Wassssak" His armor and equipment clinking like a set of nerfherder spurs until he settled into a stool at the counter. The man turned slightly to face the table while resting one elbow on the surface and looking around the rest of the diner expectantly. He wondered if it was just going to be the four of them or if they were waiting on someone else.

People either knew who Kotii was or they did not. He was fine with doing introductions but that seemed like the thing to do when everyone was present. The badger took a breath in of the Corellian air inside the diner and let out a sigh. He could use a pick-me-up and blowing stuff up usually did the trick for the Mandalorian. Hopefully they would get lots of material for Rancor Squadron.

When a job was posted that seemed too good to be true, a lady really only had two options, take it or leave it.

After surviving the freakish Island, Syrina would take anything with a risk attached. After all, she needed the credits, and she wasn't too proud to say no to possible blood on her hands.

Heels clicked along the floor with a long-legged gait, perfectly maintained thick black fur atop her head styled into fluffy curls that perfectly framed a felinoid face with watchful bright green eyes and lips tugged into a slight grin. Although she had toned down her usual bartender outfit and traded it in for long black leggings and a simple black turtleneck, she felt pretty good with having her old gear stashed on the utility belt slung on her hips.

She knew none of these jokers, but hell, she knew an ace when she saw one.

Green eyes landed on Walt, and crinkled at the corners slightly as she slid in a bar chair to the left of Aden, legs crossing neatly at the ankles with head cocked. She was a nobody to them, and that was just fine for the time being; it meant her skills wouldn't have to be on full display just yet.

"Hello gents. Hope I'm not interrupting anything," she spoke, head tilted slightly to eye them all fully, a charming grin still perched on her lips. "Syrina. Pleasure to make acquaintance." Not her most charming of introductions, but it couldn't hurt to keep things simple; after all, they were here for work, not swapping skin care tips, and she was pretty sure half this crew didn't even have a routine.

Huh... this was a squad.

Aden he had counted on, the mercenary pilot willing to fly through hellfire.

The lizardman - the fortunate son, the senator's son.

A Mando carrying enough weaponry to make Walt think he had already raided an armoury on his way into the room.

And a stray catwoman..? That one was entirely unexpected.

Five was a strong number for a crew, especially if they wanted to avoid being too large to adapt under fire. There was a reason that squads were smaller than most people expected when it came to going to war. His eyes flicked to Syrina's ears, watching them twitch and ignoring his urge to pat the woman on the head like one of his adopted kittens.

Luckily, there was something else for him to focus on; the job at hand.

"Thank you for coming."
he greeted them all, nodding to Aden in particular, "And thank you for coming back, Aden."

Setting his bottle of soda on the counter with a firm hand, Walt leant against the counter and eyed each of the people assembled before him with a critical eye.

"My name is Walt Bosmar - I was a proud soldier of the Republic. But now... the Republic that I fought for is dead, torn down and ripped apart by it's foes domestic and foreign."

His left hand started shaking slightly and he clenched it firmly into a fist.

"Soldiers, defenders, were tossed by the wayside but they didn't just throw us away - they locked away their arsenal as well. But they didn't lock it up tight enough for me to not be able to break it free."
he told them with a scowl, "We're going to be raiding a Republic military armoury, sealed after the collapse of the Republic. We're going to be killing innocent men and women doing their jobs to get to our goal... so if any of you have any objections, now's the time to go, before I give out any further details."

Rezyl stared at the diner from cross the streets, his cloak cover right side of his body hiding the blaster on his hip as his hood hung over his head. "Are you sure want to do this? i don't think A-" Rezyl cut off his droid before she could say his name, "He's not here anymore and we need the credits, we don't have much of a choice." he took ina breath and exhaled through his nose. before stepping out to cross the streeet and into the diner.

his eyes darted amongst the room of people as his seeker droid lense refocused to observe everyone two humans, a trandoshan, a cathar, his body tensed at the sight of the mandalorian, he didn't share his colours or iconorghy of him but the sight brought back memories both good and bad.

He recomposed himsellf before speaking as walt finished his words"sorry that i'm late, Rezyl. Rezyl Azzir. and this Desi." his droid gave a nod as floated in the air to assemble group, as he pulled his hood to reveal his kind young face contrated by his hard eyes. "I hope i didn't miss anything?"

Aden looked at the others who came in. Yossk again, a Mandalorian from Rancor Squadron he can see - Aden seems to cross paths with them often -, and a Cathar lady. "Black Hand" he said back to the Mandalorian (@Darasuum) with a nod. 'Well, hello there" he said to the catwoman (@Killa Ree). Aden smiled when Walt (@Nefieslab) addresed him by name, the spacer is more than happy to come back.

Hearing some of the intial details. It sounds promising. Although about the Innocent men and women... killing innocent people were not something that Aden enjoyed doing, that's not something he was doing a decade ago. Yet in recent times he has done so, they got between the spacer and achieving his goal multiple times. That is something he accepted and had made peace with. What even is 'innocent' these days? If getting his hands on this promising cache of military tech requires going through 'innocent' people, that is fine.

With no objections, he would stay in place and say nothing with. He wonders if any of the others would dip out of the room, and he was eager to here more about the arsenal and the plan.

It's only a question of 'is the risk worth the reward'. But so far they seemed to gathered a fine roster of capable people, with one unknowns - Scratch that - Two unknowns. And then another comes in, one Aden doesn't know of, someone who seems very young (@christhebetrayer), as evidenced by his face and his manner of speaking. If Aden had to guess, he's about twice their age. "Uh. I think you are in the wrong place. The career center is down the street." he said in a half joking manner.

The metallic fingers of the Trandoshan's cybernetic arm audibly clacked on his table as he sat in thought. He was silent for a while, his eyes squinting slightly as the young male human walked into the room. This was one being who could be expendable, but it seems the rest of the group was quite skilled. Aden Archer had crossed paths with Yossk earlier in a much different capacity, now they would be able to work together face to face.

"I can sscrape together a ssmall ground crew from my own men for our infiltration missssion," his piercing yellow eyes scanned the room and punching deep into the souls of the other beings in the room, the force flowing through them if but for a moment to try and bolster their courage for this mission, "but we shall need to be on our A game if we are to pull thiss off. What ssortss of weapon ssysstemss are in thiss armory? Is it blassterss and armor, or are there... heavier munitionss and mobile armor insside? And what about internal defencess, how are they?" His head tilted ever so gently to the side as he finished, raising an eyebrow slightly to indicate it wasn't so much the answer he was looking for, he was searching for deeper information. In all honesty Yossk was most looking for the level of knowledge this being had of this particular stockpile. If the intel was shallow or outdated it could get this entire rag tag group of plunderers killed, and that would not earn any of them profit in the slightest.

A big score here xould certainly help Yossk construct his new plan, so he had put all of his chips on the table by signing up. This would be a make or break moment for his forces. He would either get a fair amount of the haul for himself and make a healthy profit or his crew would dissolve and his dreams would once again die in his hands. That could not happen here. Trandosha must have its liberator, and Yossk knew that was to be him. He just needed to bide his time with jobs like this and some day he can earn enough clout and resources to free his world. And if that meant he had to haul more material out of this treasure trove than what was initially anticipated by the event's organizer, well that would not be his problem for long.

"I can alsso provide a Quassar bulk carrier for not only an esscape ship but a place to haul up our loot. Of coursse, that will require a larger cut of our earningss, but I'm sure we all can work out a deal. It can be completely incognito, possssibly even faking a hyperdrive failure if there were any patrolss to assk quesstionss of the crew. But thosse detailss can be worked out later, right now we musst gather together the intel we have on this cashe and make our plan." And with that the Trandoshan would finish talking. He knew his father could be a bit long winded, so he tried to cut himself short here. His voice showed minor hints of curiosity, but beyond that it showed exactly what Yossk wanted it to; he blanketed his true emotions with the veil of the typical Trandoshan smugness and self-superiority that was known throughout the galaxy. His chin was even held slightly aloft while he spoke and his lips were carefully, though still almost unnoticeably, curled into a small sneer to help play his part well.

But deep inside the cold-blooded heart of the Trandoshan he knew that he needed not to be prideful. Yossk should rather swallow that pride here and not act like another of his species would, to allow those who knew this place be in charge and to mostly act as muscle and as the one with the get away vessel. Well, that wasn't true. There were two. The soon to be renamed Division Bell was mentioned to the group, but he would bring his own Pursuer Enforcement Ship with him. It would have enough room to haul not only his comrades and act as a shuttle, but have copious amounts of room for whatever the group would steal beyond other starfighters and armored vehicles. He had no doubts the others would bring their own vessels, which would mean there would be much more loot to be hauled. Excellent, if true.

Walt's staring caught her attention first. She was used to looks, but his was... a rather intense stare. She met it with lambent green-gold eyes, ears swiveling in his direction to take in his words, before she shrugged.

"There's plenty of times where innocent lives are taken; soldiers, mercenaries and hackers all face the same dilemma." She should know, she tended bar to plenty of souls who were tormented by past choices.

"I'm in."

At Aden's words, she slanted a look his way, and offered a sly wink and a grin, tilting an ear towards him. "Well hi," she responded in kind, leaning a little further back to give the man a fuller look, waggling her brows slightly in pleased curiosity. At the mention of intel from the Trandoshan, once again an ear swiveled in his direction, cocking her head slightly to take in his words.

"If needed, I can start pulling threads to gather intel," she offered, gaze sliding to them briefly. "Just need a place to ride and set up a rig." Though she was fairly confident on swiping her own vessel, it was cheaper to tag along, and she would be less likely to be backstabbed by any of her comrades if she knew their ships inside and out.

Military outposts and storage caches had back doors too, so it would be a fun challenge to learn what little traps they set up for a future looting as safeguards. And finally... the last two of their group.

The one they called Black Hand was a brief curiosity before, but... the armor just wouldn't do it for her. He could be ugly under that helmet, she thought with an internal grimace.

It seemed most were good with their guns, which was nice. She liked a guy who knew his weaponry.

Kotii was a warrior, a killer and no stranger to the violent ways of the galaxy. But he did not like to end the lives of others without reason. He had no qualms with defending himself but he was more than just a bloodthirsty badger. Behind his helmet his crimson eyes blinked calmly while Kotii remained silent and listened.

Black Hand waited to hear more before deciding how much effort or how many fucks he would give on this job. The echani-offshoot just wanted to do this job and reap the rewards. His helmet slowly turned, moving from one person to the next. He was trying to calculate how they would factor in to this event and if they would trip the rest of them up. For now he kept his judgements to himself.

The Mandalorian's shoulders would rise and fall as he took in a breathe and let it out. His helmet muffled the light sigh. The fact he was still sitting in his seat would give Walt the answer he needed. But the man wanted to hear what the organizer's plan was. Everyone was bright eyed and bushy tailed but Kotii was expecting the worst to happen. It usually did when it came to the badger. History had taught him to curb his expectations.

The new kid who popped in with a droid was... not known to Walt, but that wasn't unexpected. What was slightly unexpected was that he seemed to be mostly unknown to everyone else in the room as well. Admittedly, having someone who's face was almost entirely unknown was actually a boon to at least one part of the operation he had planned. The droid? Eh there was always room for a droid on a team in his experience.

"Alright kid... if you're here I assume you got the scuttlebutt about a heist?"
he shrugged a little bit, "Could waste time with warnings against double crosses but I think we're all a bit past that kind of behaviour."

He gestured to the Trandoshan.

"Small group only for this mission - anything more than us and we risk blowing the cover."
he reasoned even as he turned down the offer for back up with a half-hidden grimace, "Hardware on offer is a whole lot of Republic tech and the like. Everything from crates of Lightning Guns to be used against ISC droid forces, mortars, rocket launchers, to municipal disintigrators for use against the AMS virus. Even a few anti-vehicle rifles. This box is where the Republic put all it's toys away when the Galaxy pushed it over and kicked sand in it's eyes."

The offer for further intel from the catwoman was interesting - was she some kind of special ops type of worker? He didn't know but he couldn't pretend that his eyes weren't drawn by the twitch that her ears made. As a sucker for felines when they were trying to be cute, Walt had to stop himself from asking if he could pet the ears.

"Intel we need? The home address and family information of the driver, Sergon Tecov."

Reaching into his pocket, Walt pulled out a holodisc. When powered on, it illuminated the room as it showed a satellite image of a military base built into the side of a mountain. The first layers of defence were light fences and sensor pods, both visible and disguised, followed by a harder line of defence turrets and solid walls. Past this second layer was an open space but a set of massive blast doors were built into the mountain.

"Security around this base is rock solid against overt attacks - we have anti air, anti space, anti vehicle and anti personnel turrets across the perimeter and half a battalion on active duty at all times - another battalion and a half on stand by. Space is covered by the Anaxes System Defence force... which got a bolstering by taking on Republic ships that might have otherwise been decommissioned. We make a noisy entrance, we're dead."
he pointed to the main gate, "Which is why we won't. Because the Op-Sec on display at this base? Makes me physically sick to my stomach. There's new guys filling the ranks of the Anaxes Defence force faster than anyone can keep up with because they're trying to integrate local ex-republic peacekeepers and they're doing it too fast."

He liked the idea of them giving ex-peacekeepers a chance... but they were doing too much, too soon and making a sloppy mess of the whole thing that was, quite frankly, embarrassing.

"So we're going to hijack a truck full of these new recruits on the way to the base - the only guy who needs to be recognisable is the driver. We get the details on his family and we squeeze... the recruits are expendable if needs be. Once we're in, Sergon can take a nap and we need to get ourselves into the main base and down to the Vault as they call the main armoury. I have the ordinance to break through the locks without a big explosion or the codes."
he revealed, the plans he had for the plasma grenades he and Aden had liberated being laid bare, "We get what we want, we load up a truck like we belong. We'll be in uniform and if anybody asks we just need to say an NCO ordered us to load it up. Then? Then we drive out of there and load up some cheap civilian freighters to mask the cargo and make our escape."

He tapped the counter with his fingers.

"No need for a big ship - our cover for escape is not raising the alarm... and splitting our haul before we even leave the planet... questions?"

Rezyl eyes connected to the man who made the carees centre joke, he was okay with joke but wasn't going to take it laying "I hear it's across the street from the retirement" he jabbed back atthe older man.

Rezyl sat down at the end of diner listening to Walt's plan for operation it was decent plan but there was only one question he had to ask

"how are we getting out if were caught before we get out haul?" it was prompt question, they had to have plan to get just incase as nothing is ever certain and being trapped in base surrond by trained military and with munitions everywhere you asking something to get denoated in a firefight. He hoped thier leader had atleast some an idea for this possability, if not it would be concerning.

Ignoring the banter between the new face and the strangers, she focused on Walt's words, eyes narrowing on the name. Tecov, huh? Sounded a bit rabbity-scared for a name, but she would merely nod, giving him a slight grin. "Home address and family, huh? Shouldn't be too hard; I'll start calling in favors."

She then pulled out her phone and began scrolling. There were eyes everywhere; plucking a few strings shouldn't be hard, especially if the person was recently on hard times. Bartenders, after all, always had a list of troublesome clients, and she wouldn't even need to start tapping the data stream unless this pathway was particularly difficult to tap into.

She would focus on this until the others would either accept or defer from this venture; she had nothing to lose, so she would be all in anyways. Besides, old Walt couldn't seem to keep his eyes off her, and that suited her just fine.
