Yusanis laughed at her words. At first, he had thought she was showing some decency- then boom, there was the insult. The Sith laughed for a good three minutes before he said, "Looks like I fit right in among the Order then, if that's how you see it! Nearly all Sith in the galaxy were weak in some way, until the Dark Side offered them power. Now do you see why I haven't simply left the Sith? I chose power, and even if my family is gone or scattered, I must rise. There is glory in conquest, war, and battle- in breaking your enemies and showing them their failure, their weakness, before either putting them to the sword or making them bend knee. The Mandalorians taught me that, and the Sith are the same- seeking to gain and show power through war." His voice was excited, fast, and he looked over to Aubrey, turning his head towards her.

"So, Aubrey Fox, where does your desire for power come from? Earlier, you mentioned your mother- wanting to find her, and say you're coming for her. I'm assuming that's where it comes from, wanting to end her and show the galaxy your power?"

Looking forward again, Yusanis placed his hand on his weapon. He suddenly wanted to behead something, but was going to refrain because he was starting to like the redhead next to him. Yes, she was amusing, devilish, and all around just someone he liked more and more. They were going to be good friends, he could tell- though the word 'friend' was a loose term to Sith.

They've killed Sith before, if the rumor surrounding her lightsaber was any indication. He, himself, killed the Sith who convinced him to go to Korriban. So, would it be any different if one day, they crossed swords?

As Yusanis started to laugh, she seemed confused as to what was so funny. She would shoot him an annoyed look then stare at the road until he finished; Aubrey assumed he was making fun of her for some reason.

"Looks like I fit right in among the Order then, if that's how you see it! The Mandalorians taught me that, and the Sith are the same- seeking to gain and show power through war."

She would glance at him as he spoke from time to time, also keeping her attention on the road. As he said this, she would think of the Sith code and mantra.

"So, Aubrey Fox, where does your desire for power come from? Earlier, you mentioned your mother- wanting to find her, and say you're coming for her. I'm assuming that's where it comes from, wanting to end her and show the galaxy your power?"

"My power?" Aubrey would repeat. She had to think about it seriously for a minute. The obvious answer was: who didn't want power? But there was more to it than that. "I guess, thinking about it, I never really had a choice. My mother is a Sith crusader; you've probably heard of her. Erica Ra'Kul? She was powerful, amazing really. My father, he well... He was wealthy. I think thats what mother saw in him. He was a starship captain. Anyways, I was home schooled until I was old enough to join the academy on Ziost."

Aubrey would then turn the car down a different lane and head them into a parking garage where she would start finding a spot to set the speeder down.

"When I joined the academy I was just interested in my grades. I studied all the time, I read everything I could get my hands on, and I started teaching myself other languages. Then my classmates started to get jealous and they attacked me. Well one day I had enough and I killed him. I don't know why I did it, but I'm glad I did the rush of ending his life and taking power for myself was just too thrilling. I loved it. I started training more and more with my saber so I could beat all the boys. Seeing them bow before me, knowing that it was me who defeated them-" she would almost purr as she thought about it, "-there's nothing like it."

She would then turn the speeder off and sit there still staring out ahead of them. "Then my mother showed up. She wanted to know why my marks were dropping. You see, I kind of stopped studying for my other classes. Anyways, I told her off and thought I didn't have to listen to her and I drew me saber on her. She grabbed hers and we fought."

Aubrey was quiet again, her face got sad for a minute. But then she lifted her head and spoke like she had seen the most amazing thing.

"Fighting my mother, she was.... Words can't describe it. She blocked every move I made. She was a warrior, a true Sith warrior. I was so weak. She called me unworthy. Sure, it hurt. But it made me realize my potential." She then faced Yusanis and continued, "So to answer your question, friend, my quest for power is to be like my mother. I want to get stronger, and have a rematch against her to show her that I can be better."

Yusanis could respect her drive. Honestly, he sometimes felt that leaving the Sith was the best option- for there was little reason to stay, other than the power he could gain- but still, he hadn't yet. He wanted something, more than just personal strength and glory. The Zabrak felt the Sith could offer him the chance to build a better future for the Mandalorians, his clan in particular. He wanted to become the best Sith, the best Mandalorian, and lead his fallen people to power.

Whether it was possible or not was the question. Not only that, would they even follow him? Would he have to betray the Sith to rebuild his family? Honestly, he didn't know at times, but now he truly was in confusion. For all of his words, all of his goals and drives, he was scared- deep down, he knew it, and despised it. For now he would remain, he knew, but later?

Who knew?

He noticed they parked and so looked to Aubrey, a bit solemn after their heart-to-heart. "You said you wanted to get her attention, to face her. If you wish, we can send a message. When the time comes, I'll assist you- but only if you keep your mouth shut about why I was here, and who I was looking for. You have my word."

Yusanis could not promise much else, for as Sith, bonds were a troublesome, even avoided, thing.

"I appreciate the thought, Yusanis," she would look at him sincerly, honored and flattered that he would offer such a promise, "But if I am to ever face my mother it has to be alone."

She would then hand him the keycard to the speeder and hop out onto the hanger floor. She straightened out her cloak and would turn to him once more.

"This has been....fun." It took her a minute to find the right word. Eventful, true. Exciting, very true. Dangerous, well that's what being a Sith involved. Fun was the best way to put it. "I'm sure we'll see each other again. No?"

Yusanis smiled under his helmet, nodded, and started up the speeder.

"Be safe, Aubrey Fox. May you gain the power you seek, and destroy all who oppose you."

A very... strange farewell, but it wasn't out of place for Yusanis- he wasn't the typical man, Sith or not. The craft went skyward, and zoomed away. As he flew off, he didn't look back. He was sure she would be fine. She was Sith, and any Sith worth their salt could survive thugs. He smiled a bit, slowed down as he flew, and reached down on to his belt.

When they had entered the speeder, he had noticed something wedged in between the passenger's seats cushions. Unnoticeable, save for the faint blue light coming from the device. It was a portable holo-communicator. Simple, relatively short ranged, but obviously what whoever placed it here needed.

Yusanis activated the device, careful with his driving, and an image came up. A Nikto, clad in armor. One of the bouncers from the Promenade! The Zabrak was confused, until the Nikto grunted and said, "You found us, Rodarch. Now, what did you want? I'm assuming that since Carliah is dead, you didn't get what you wanted?"

Yusanis grinned, and chuckled. His hope was restored.

"Now that you mention it... I want to find someone."
