OOC: Open to Sith
Dorumaa, Tropix Resort

Music

Soon after Red Team's smashing Huttball win, it'd been decided a party was in order to celebrate! Using connections and shenanigans from an official Sith mission, Zoella and Soleil had arranged for just that on the outer rim planet of Doruuma. A special section of the beach for gatherings and some small hut-like sleeping areas were reserved solely for the guests and any plus-ones they brought. Suspended between two palm trees was a massive RED TEAM banner and three others below it displaying hand-drawn art of the three members in action. Naturally, Altair's had a silver MVP trophy added on, next to a big number 18.

There was also a big goddamn covered-up cake provided by the resort for Altair's birthday! Every invitation except Altair's had stuff involving party poppers and confetti for when the man himself arrived, whereas the Tiefling's encouraged bringing his hallikset. Clove was invited too of course as a key member of Red Team! Other Sith from past parties got invited down the grapevine because sure, why not, there was room. Anyone who he knew personally got an invite from Sol himself.

It was a beach party, and it was suggested to dress for the beach. There was also a table for birthday gifts if people brought them. There were even surprises in store!

Music blasted from speakers around a saltwater pool and hidden in rocks, a tropical-themed bar was constantly busy, and the sun shined down on sparkling, crystal-clear waters. Snacks and food covered a buffet table, folk lounged in the water or danced on the event-private breach, a riot of different people all celebrating a massive win and, honestly, just the chance to party!

Soleil was dressed in a
tropical theme for the party, his stud earrings upgraded to gold but otherwise the same stuff he wore for the last visit to Dorumaa, complete with black board shorts. A big, fat smile was on his face and a glass of gin and tonic in hand- he didn't know he'd like it but turned out he did- as he got to talking with a certain Umbaran and greeted people showing up. Talking, because he had a small, cat-shaped protocol droid nearby to translate sign for him. Not perfect, but better than pantomime by far.

All Sith were welcome, but he was most excited for his closest people and Red Team to show up and celebrate together.

Maerae did not like parties. They were pointless, a waste of time that could be better spent doing something productive. Right now, she could be studying, or practicing her blade work, or reading up on the science behind hyperspace and traveling through it. She could be doing anything to better herself, to make the jump from lowly acolyte to... not so lowly acolyte.

Instead, she was in a dressing tent, flushed red at the prospect of what she was wearing.

It was far too small, especially the top. She was extremely concerned that she was going to accidentally flash someone, just by stretching an arm too far. The woman at the counter had insisted that it would fit her just fine, and Maerae couldn't be bothered to try it on just in case. Well, she supposed that this was her penance for being impatient.

But even ignoring the size of the stupid skimpy outfit, it was also entirely too revealing for her liking. It showed pretty much everything, and Maerae was less than fond of that. She wasn't exactly the stereotypical model of femininity, not with the well-grooved and defined musculature of her abdomen, or the robust swells of her biceps.

She'd never really thought about her body before, but then, she'd never really shown it to anyone.

Yet, what was done, was done. She was here, even if she wasn't entirely sure why. And she was wearing this skimpy get up. The only alternative was to wear her usual robes, which would result in getting sand in them. Which was almost preferable, but Maerae forced herself to breathe out a heavy sigh, let the red in her cheeks return to pale skin, before finally walking out of the tent and onto the beach.

So, a party for some Sith who won the latest Season of Hutt Ball. Pedee thinks she should try playing that, she'd be good at it since she thrives on violence, and she'd be able to make her own moneys without having to go ask her Father.

Anyways, Pedee would be striding around the beach. There isn't much that she could be doing here, she can't enjoy the water, she can't eat or drink, and she hasn't been programmed to know any dance moves still. Truth be told, she didn't know why she was here either. Maybe she thought she could try to have some fun without violence being involved for once. Attempting to fit in with other females like herself, Pedee would also be wearing a bikini that would go well with her chassis in her own opinion.

Maybe see some friends. Or maybe hope that another fight breaks out. Since that tends to happen at Sith gatherings, she missed the last one that happened unfortunately.

Altair almost considered not going, but he couldn’t remember the last time he enjoyed himself on a beach. He was also amused at the request of bringing his hallikset, which he planned to do either way. The tiefling wore a simple t-shirt over his bathing suit, sporting a custom fitted hat over his head. He also wore shades, a total break from his usual baggy style. Altair was feeling pretty good - he was global sports champion after his Huttball performance, he was able to send a lot of money back home, and he was finally able to get his hands on some Wildfire antidote. His withdrawals were significantly down, and he felt more himself than he had in a very long time. As soon as he arrived, he tossed off his shirt, leaving him in just his form fitting swimming shorts and his hat. For the first time, it showed off his entire physique, all of it honed and built from countless hours invested into the Emryc Thorne routine.

The tiefling spotted the banners and saw the big number 18. When he saw it was next to his name, his jaw dropped. Did they know about his birthday? He looked around in surprise, spotting Sol at once. While there had been animosity before, Altair brushed it aside. He made his way towards him, flashing him a grin, “Sup dude,” Altair said cheerfully, fistbumping him before he looked over the drink selections. The tiefling snagged a beer and popped it open, “Sick party, my man,” He said approvingly before taking a sip of his beer.

Altair gave the Umbaran a casual nod before letting the two return to their dialogue. He began to walk towards the water when he spotted someone else arriving. The tiefling actually did a comical double take and almost tripped over a beach chair when he caught sight of Maerae. His shin surged with pain from slamming into it and he couldn’t hide the shock on his face. Was this the same girl that showed up wearing funeral attire or curtains to everything? Altair decided to walk her way. He passed the drink stall as he walked, another beer casually floating into his hand as he did the flyby.

“Hey, Maerae,” He said with a smile, extending a beer if she chose. Did she even drink? Oh well, too late, he already offered, “You look…beautiful,” Altair said quietly, his gaze respectfully remaining on hers the entire time. He half expected her to smack him just for the compliment, but he wasn’t too fazed. Altair would politely fuck off if requested, "Good to see ya out here."

There was decidedly no chance in helL that Vahliri was going to miss this beach-themed birthday party. The half-Anfynn had intently kept herself glued to the Holoscreen in her dorm room for the duration of the Huttball championship, gleefully cheering on the Tiefling throughout the game and with no lack of SpaceChat messages sent to him between rounds - and certainly wasn’t going to be absent during the celebrations of their victory. More importantly to her however, was the fact that it was the Tiefling’s birthday. Though she would never admit it aloud, she had spent no shortage of time debating and selecting out Altair’s gift months in advance - eagerly waiting for the opportunity to give it to him.

A short flight from Dromund Kaas to the tropical paradise, and the half-Anfynn strolled out onto the white-sand beaches of Doruuma - allowing her toes to sink into the loose, warm sand as she made her way over to the gift table. Whatever it was that she brought was large enough that it required the girl using both arms to carry it, cradling it exceptionally carefully as she placed it down with the other gifts.

With that, Vahliri turned her honeyed gaze out towards the rest of the beach - making her way over to where the others were starting to gather. The air around the half-Anfynn was scented heavily with her floral perfume, wearing a small black bikini with a matching, sheer sarong wrapped around her waist that left her bronze skin and toned figure exposed to the sun. Her black hair was pulled back into a braided ponytail, while her outfit was accessorized with a small golden bangle on her wrist and anklet that dangled down by her left foot.

Naturally, it didn’t take Vahliri long to spot Altair already out on the beach. She couldn’t help but stare at the Tiefling’s choice of attire that left his muscular physique far more exposed than usual - honeyed eyes lingering far longer than necessary as she made her way over - purposefully keeping herself positioned behind him as she approached.

“Hey Altair,” She snuck up, nudging the Tieflingin the back, flashing him a characteristic sideways grin before rounding around to stand beside him and Maerae. “You look amazing,” She tilted her head playfully, gesturing to his bicep. “Routine is really paying off.” The half-Anfynn leaned forth, wrapping her arms around the Tiefling's torso and giving him a squeeze before stepping back once again. "Happy birthday."

She glanced over towards Sol, smiling towards the mute Acolyte. "Thanks for the invitte."

Her attention briefly turned then to Maerae, unable to help but do a double take as she took in the Acolyte’s physique, attire, and the fact she wasn’t dressed for combat. “Daaammnnn,” She smirked. “Way better than the robes.”

Dorumma had been an experience, to say the least. All of the travel guides were accurate—resort staff did offer you service with a smile, but none of those brochures bothered to mention the thousand and one things that could kill you. Not least among them the synthetic smiles plastered across each and every employee's face. Their smiles said 'I'm happy to serve you,' but when you asked for an extra bottle or two or three of burn salve to ease the fire burning throughout your pale Arkanisian skin, their eyes shot daggers.

Zoella arrived late to her own party, the mere notion of her father's disappointment at her social faux pas enough to bring a smile to her lips. Some things never changed. The Acolyte wound her way through the other party-goers that had begun to mingle onto the beach, green eyes searching for Soleil as she carried a nautical ice chest.

"Sorry I'm late," she addressed Soleil, smiling as she positioned the chest in the sand. The Acolyte wore the same outfit she'd worn the day they'd arrived on Dorumaa, expect with the edition of the colorful wrist cloth Soleil had given her wrapped around her neck. "I had to beat an old lady off with a stick to get these." She was, of course, referring to the contents of the ice chest: cans and cans of the six new energy drink flavors. "Looks like you finished the decorations."

Briefly, her gaze drifted toward the large red banner hung between two trees. "I see you even managed to hang it straight. Well, almost," she added with a bemused smile, playfully nudging his shoulder.

The blonde Acolyte knelt down in the sand and began to arrange the drinks. "Would you mind tossing me that bag of ice?" she asked him, scratching at the healing burn on her arms.

Aadya had arrived to the party a little bit ago. When she'd first received the invitation from Sol - which had been adorable, with emoji hugs and confetti - she wasn't even sure she was going to go, but then again she figured that she could at least show up and support Sol on his Huttball win... and to see Altair for his birthday.

Aadya's outfit was one of her favorite bikinis, and she hadn't bothered to tie her hair back. It fell in loose cascades just past her shoulder, the sun catching its natural highlights. She had a hair tie on her wrist in case she wanted it later.

In comparison to some of the other gifts left on the gift table, Aadya's wasn't that impressive. It was a simple card, but inside was a few paragraphs of hand written sentiment from her to Altair. Not too heavy, but things she'd wanted to tell him for awhile now. Personal stuff, signed with her name and a heart. Aadya had never been one for large or flashy gifts. Plus, she'd just take Altair out later and let him pick something he wanted, whatever it was, whatever it cost.

Leaving the gift table, Aadya would spot Sol, Altair, a girl she didn't know, and Vahliri (gross) and would give them a friendly wave as she made her way over. Before the kid could get a word in edge wise, Aadya would wrap Sol in a congratulatory hug before letting him go and then punching him playfully in the arm, maybe a little bit harder than she intended. Firrerreo strength and all that.

You had me worried to high hell watching you play huttball you jerk, she said with a smile, her tone clearly lighthearted. Congrats on winning though, I'm very proud of you.

Turning to Altair, Aadya gave him a warm smile before also giving him a hug, though it was a little different than the one she had given Sol. It hung just a few moments too long and was a little more intimate but before things could get awkward Aadya pulled away, looking up at him, a little bit of sheepishness on her face that faded quickly.

Happy birthday, She said to him, the smile from before returning in full. Y'all wanna play a game or something? Aadya asked, looking around to the others.

Of course, she was fine with just standing around and getting drunk on the beach. But that wouldn't make for a very good party, now would it?

Shark boy's invitation to Altair's birthday party, as well as the red team's celebration party, was one of the first messages Clove received after waking up from surgery. And, while she knew going to the party hosted by the person she suspected of being a Sith might not be the best idea, she had already ordered a new bathing suit and doubled down on her leg rehab.

And when the big day arrived, Clove was more than ready. With a cane for support. She'd come a long way, but not quite that far.

The half-Annfyn finally made her way into the Tropix Resort, dressed in her new bathing suit, a white sarong, and a plethora of accessories, including a few feathers braided in her mane of hair—a combination of her still growing hair and hair extensions. Although there were far more people than she had anticipated, the sight of the saltwater pools, rocks, and joyful blasting music, which reminded her of home, was enough to calm her nerves for the most part.

Clove decided to follow the rest of the crowd to the gift table because she didn't know where else to go. Except for one card, all of the gifts were rather extravagant. Her cheeks flushed for a brief moment as she examined the gifts she had prepared for Altair: a small card and a key chain with two horns glued to a pair of black wings. It was so small and tiny in comparison to the others. Still, it's the thought that counts. Right? She placed her gifts on top of the table with that phrase running through her head like a mantra.

Clove began scanning the crowd once more, looking for any familiar faces now that the gift was out of the way. After a bit of glancing around, all while looking like a child lost in a store, she finally spotted a massive pair of horns (@Sreeya). She excitedly made her way over to Altair and quickly noticed a few other people next to him; Shark boy (@Mr. Teatime), a girl with pointy ears who reminded her of the Annfyn (@Altaris), a blonde-haired girl with green eyes (@llamallove), a woman with pitch-black hair and pale skin (@Vicc125), and a girl with a waterfall of dark brown curls (@Logan).

Wait. Brown curls?

Clove narrowed her eyes for a moment, staring at the girl who was chatting with the group and suggesting games. Something about her reminded her of something, or someone. And then the girl looked around for a split second, and Clove caught a glimpse of her face. A face she'd seen far too many times in her nightmares. Aadya.

She wanted to scream for everyone to run, to flee because they were in grave, grave danger. And yet... there was no danger. Her Force didn't warn her of anything what so ever. Sugar, if you ignore how dangerous good looks can be, Aadya didn't even LOOK harmful. And the others seemed to treat her as if she were a friend. Did they know she was a Sith and just put up with it? Or did this mean that her theory about Shark Boy was correct, and he was a Sith as well? What did that mean for the rest of the group?

For a moment she considered running away instead, her breathing barely under control as she battled against hyperventilation. But then she remembered the tattoo on her shoulder, which reminded her to face her fears rather than run away from them. And she couldn't just skip out on a birthday party or red team's celebration. But to confront Aadya? Well... What did she have to lose? Plus, she was somewhat protected here, right? So, with a deep yet sharp breath and a mental barrage of curses in her native tongue, Clove walked over to Sol and Altair, albeit with some shakey unsteady steps. "Hey guys!" she said, a small smile on her lips. "Happy birthday Altair! Love the hat so much!" She moved closer to both men, a little wobbly, to give each of them a warm and tight embrace before taking a step back. "Nice outfit Sharky, really like the golden studs!"

Her gaze then moved to the other girls, all of whom she smiled shyly at. With the exception of Aadya, who she stared in the eyes for a brief moment. "Hey. I'm Clove."

Soleil turned to look when Altair approached, dark brows shooting up toward his hair on seeing the Tiefling's beach fit. The Umbaran he chatted with straight-up stared for a couple of seconds before looking away, embarrassed. Sol let out a low whistle of approval, gave a greeting nod fistbump, and grinned right back. Past tension aside, Soleil was happy to see him at the party. "'Sup Bull, glad you made it," said the droid on Sol's behalf. "Happy 18th dude!" Sol lightly clinking his glass with the Tiefling's beer.

After the dude walked off Sol was about to get back to the Umbaran girl when he caught the shin collision, looking bemused until he noticed Maerae. In a bikini. Sol blinked, mouth open for a moment before remembering not to stare. He threw her a friendly wave and a thumbs up. His gaze met Vahliri's when she showed up, smile still on his face. A teasing brow rose as he glanced from her to Altair, nodding amicably and raising his drink in reply. He waved toward the droid guest Pedee as well, especially since her role in Surprises was important.

Soleil breezily waved off Zoella's late arrival and shot her a return smile. He was pretty hard to offend, and besides, she'd done a lot of set-up too. Somehow Zoella sticking to the shorts and all didn't surprise him, smiling widening a little at the cloth she'd kept. A finger flicked at it playfully, winking at her banner comment and signing with his other hand.
"Kinda-straight's the best he can do," informed the cat-shaped droid at his feet in a playful tone. "Old lady couldn't have been that much trouble, you still look great."

The silent acolyte was looking eagerly over the energy drink options when he noticed how red Zoella's arms were, face forming something between a frown and grimace. He passed over the ice as requested, then knelt down and reached over to gently pull her scratching hand away from her arm, shaking his head and dragging his Beach Supply Bag over. A bottle of SunBuddy Sunburn Moisturizing Creamr was offered.

He'd have to remember to get some sunscreen to Maerae too before she went the way of a boiled lobster. Sol stood up and was almost immediately ambushed by Aadya, looking like he was about to laugh as she wrapped him in a tight hug, giving her one of his own. Rubbing his whacked arm with a faux-offended look, Sol smiled brightly at her a moment later.
<I only exploded a little bit.> And was shot, set on fire...Alright, maybe worry was reasonable. His ears turned a little red from Aadya's familial pride. <Thanks. Team effort and all.>

His brows slowly rose after the long hug Altair got, kinda surprised. That dude was gonna have a damn heart attack at this rate. Speaking of, another VIP had arrived- Wait, no, hold on. Clove'd walked in. Soleil stared slack-jawed for a moment before a sunny smile lit him up, echoing her warm hug. "You made it, and you're walking, congratulations! Fewer wheels, more heels?" RoboCat translated for him after Clove stepped back, genuinely happy at her significant recovery. "Stylish as usual, huh?"

Eyes flicking between Aadya and Clove's small tension for a moment, he stepped away. Locking gaze with Zoella, Sol tapped his wrist where a watch would be and winked to tell her it was almost time. All his invites except Altair would have been pre-informed of The Signal.

She was not going to turn red, Maerae decided. She was going to... mingle, in this stupid swimsuit, just long enough to be able to say that she did. Then, after making her appearance, she would leave. No one could say she was rude for not attending, and she didn't have to hang about for long. That, she decided, was the best way she coule get through this situation, while also maintaining some shred of her dignity. On the bright side, she didn't know anybody here, so maybe she wouldn't have to deal with the embarrassment of being seen by her peers.

Then Altair appeared, beer in hand, and charming words spilling from his lips. She hadn't even seen him coming, which was ridiculous, because he had horns she should have been able to spot from a mile away.

"Yes. Thank you," already she felt her cheeks begin to flush once more, as she reached for the proffered beer she wouldn't drink, "you look.... very colorful."

It was far from the best compliment she'd ever given someone... or, actually, maybe not. That might have been the only compliment she'd ever given someone. Clearly she needed more practice. At least what she'd said was true: his swim trunks were indeed colorful, a nice contrast to her own pitch black swimsuit.

Maerae opened her mouth, and was about to say something else, when she heard a voice that made her want to groan. Vahliri. The (Anfynn? Sephi? She still didn't know) shit stirrer. The raven-haired Acolyte didn't know if she had the patience to deal with the cattiness that was sure to follow Vahliri's arrival. Already she was half tempted to walk the other way. But that would be rude, and Maerae had been invited to be here. The least she could do was try and get along with everyone.

"What's wrong with my robes? They're functional, practical, and easy to fight in."

Two newcomers joined them, that Maerae had never met before. A human woman, quite beautiful, who clung to Altair. And then a... (Anfynn? Sephi? She really had to learn to separate the two.) pointy-eared woman on a cane. Who looked far too young to be on a cane. She seemed to be the shyer of the two, while the human woman had been quite casual with the group. In sort of a weird way, the paler girl reminder her a little of Soleil, if only because she seemed a little timid around them.

Wait. Soleil wasn't timid. He was just quiet. Because he was mute- Oh, and there he was, walking up to them, and flashing her a thumbs up. Which made her want to hide, as her face only continued to mimic the color of a tomato.

"Clove. A pleasure, I'm Maerae."

Colorful? Altair quirked a brow at Maerae’s strange response, glancing down at himself. He had to remind himself that she was one of those socially awkward types, and ultimately said nothing in return. Thankfully Vahliri popped into the scene to save the day and he glanced over to face her. Damn she looked good. Altair beamed brightly at her compliment, “It ain’t easy!” He remarked before hugging her back tightly. He drew back and smiled at her, “You look incredible, but that ain’t nothin’ new,” He flashed her a playful wink.

He heard a familiar voice and realized Aadya had arrived. Altair’s gaze flicked lower to steal a glance of her ass as she spoke to Sol. He promptly looked away, blinking a few times as he pictured Aunt Gertrude who always helped him out in these situations. The tiefling took a sip of his beer as Aadya came over, turning to face her as she approached. He was surprised by the hug – she wasn’t exactly known to be affectionate in public – but he welcomed it all the same. His arms slid slightly lower to wrap around her waist, returning the more intimate gesture, glancing down at her when she pulled back a bit, “And you didn’t fret over me in Huttball?” He asked with a mock wounded pout before finally releasing her.

“Yeah, I wanna play volleyball!” He declared cheerfully before beginning to make his way over. That’s when he did his second double take of the day when he spotted Clove. Not only was she here, but she was walking. Altair smiled brightly as she approached, happily returning the hug. He didn’t stop there, casually lifting her tiny self off the ground before gently setting her down, “Holy shit look at ya!” He glanced down and then up, “…You’re exactly the same height as when you were sitting!” He said gleefully before chuckling a bit, “No more accessibility issues at least!”

Altair was entirely too oblivious to notice the tension between Clove and Aadya, and he looked over his shoulder at the others, “Who wants to play?!”

Vahliri couldn’t help but roll her eyes a bit when Maerae began to valiantly defend her usual choice of attire, listing off the functionality of her Sith Robes and completely missing the point. Oh well. “Nothing, if you like sweating your ass off on the beach.” The half-Annfyn smirked. “Well it’s a nice change, for once.” Her tone was somewhat playful, seeing no reason to be mean when the older Acolyte wasn’t actively being a stick in the mud like during their field trip.

The half-Annfyn’s attention promptly returned to Altair, her lips tugging into a wide smile as he returned the hug. She visibly beamed when he complimented her, fluted ears swiveling clearly as the faintest bits of red kissed her cheeks when she caught sight of that wink. “Thanks,” She said with a sideways smile, reaching up to readjust a loose strand of hair that dangled near her face. “You always look great.” She leaned forth to nudge him playfully.

Vahliri glanced back over her shoulder at the sound of a familiar voice, the smile on her lips fading ever-so-slightly as she watched Aadya saunter her way over. Of course she was going to be here. There was a small exhale through as nostrils as the half-Annfyn watched the Firrerreo join the group, eyes lingering on both her and Altair as they hugged each other.

She couldn’t deny the fact that she pointedly didn’t like Aadya, nor the pangs of irritation that she felt surge within her. Even still, after the conversation she had with Altair back on Dromund Kaas, she decided she wasn’t going to let any of that manifest outwardly - instead turning her attention to the other girl who joined them.

“Hey Clove!” She waved back towards the fellow half-Annfyn, flashing the girl a wide smile. She didn’t miss the fact that the previously wheelchair bound girl had regained the use of her legs, especially since she had only ever seen Clove on the HoloScreen in her hair. “You look fantastic. I’m Vahliri.” She beamed, giving the other girl an affirmative nod.

“You were a total badass during Huttball, by the way. Not gonna lie, I replayed that moment with the Energy Lance a few times.”
She snickered. “What even is the beef there?”

Vahliri’s eyes widened a bit when Altair declared his desire to play Volleyball, calling back to the group to see who would be joining. “Count me in,” Thd half-Annfyn confident called back, flashing the Tiefling a sideways grin. She glanced back to where some towels had been laid out on the sand, proceeding to untie the sarong from around her waist, revealing the bikini bottoms she wore underneath before setting the sheer fabric down neatly.

With that, Vahliri began to make her way towards the volleyball net and Altair, flashing the Tiefling a wide grin before looking back to see who would be joining.

So much celebration for the horned organic, the one that lead their Hutt Ball team to victory. A celebration well earned Pedee thinks. Pedee would wave back at the one human that waved at her (@Mr. Teatime). Is that what she is supposed to do?

Pedee would step forward as they all were congregating, she didn't know many of these people personally, but she's at this party too. Volleyball? That could be interesting, a little competition, and she is detecting a slight chance at violence with many of these people being force-using Sith who may or may not use their force powers, which is a good thing.

"I'll play volleyball" she said, and then heading over to the play area. Maybe this will be fun. Now that she thinks of it, Pedee will wonder how a mere volleyball will handle against her hands made of phrik.

She wasn't sure how Altair would react to her hug in front of the others but Aadya couldn't help but feel a few butterflies in her stomach as he returned it at the level it was given. If she didn't know better, she could have almost sworn she felt something in Altair's pants poke her as their bodies touched. She flashed him a knowing, seductive smirk as they peeled apart.

I already know you can hold your own, babe. Aadya replied with a playful roll of her eyes. Or do you just like the idea of me thinking of you?

When the small blonde haired girl approached and greeted the others, Aadya at first didn't turn to face her. There was something about the voice, though. She'd heard it before.. somewhere. Turning to look, Aadya couldn't stifle the snort of laughter that came up her throat and out her nose. It was no wonder she didn't quite recognize the voice, she was far more used to hearing it scream in anguish than greet old friends.

Hello, Clove. Aadya replied, the smirk she had before returning, though far less sultry and more predatory. Her gaze hung on Clove's, Aadya's dark eyes locking with the girl's lighter ones. It's nice to see you again, Her eyes ran up and down the Half-Annfyn and Aadya couldn't help but cock her head to the side with the faintest hint of a sneer. Your recovery has come along nicely.

That was when Aadya heard Altair mention volleyball and her entire demeanor would shift back to its lightheartedness from just a few moments prior.

I'm in! She said, heading over to the volleyball court behind Vahliri.

It was a shame such a nice ass was attached to someone so annoying.

Vahliri let her eyes linger in Clove for a few seconds longer, flashing the fellow half-Annfyn a friendly smile before moving to join in one the volleyball. Of course, she couldn’t help but pause at the exchange between Altair and Aadya, that smile on her lips immediately dimming visibly.

The half-Anfynn’s fluted ears immediately flattened against her skull when she heard the affectionate term of endearment. She knew she wasn’t with Altair, but it didn’t change how she felt, and couldn’t help those feelings of jealousy and irritation that once more roiled in her.

It was far more intimate than the superficial and flirtatious exchanges she’d seen between the two of them prior to that point. It hinted at something deeper - more meaningful - and it struck a nerve far more than it should have.

She felt that discomfort that settled into her stomach, as well as the familiar urge to lash out - she had done multiple times in that past, both to Aadya and other girls who tried getting close to the Tiefling.

And yet she couldn’t help but consider the conversation she had with Altair back on Dromund Kaas. She couldn’t help but consider how, despite the irritation and pangs of jealousy, how it would only push him away.

She exhaled through her nostrils, fluted ears twitching ever-so-slightly, but ultimately said nothing about exchange between the two. Nevertheless, she gaze did subtly linger on Altair for a few moments - lingering on whatever reaction the Tiefling had to Aadya’s words.

Pushing it aside, Vahliri pushed off from where she was standing - directing her focus onto the game ahead. The half-Anfynn positioned herself on the opposite side of the net as Altair and Aadya, giving Pedee a smirk and simple nod of her head as the Droid decided she too was going to be getting in on the gun. Her stance was wide and torso slightly bent forward.

She flashed Altair a playful wink before turning her gaze onto Aadya, a far more serious and focused look in her eyes. If nothing else, maybe she would have the opportunity to bounce the volleyball off of the Firrerreo’s face.

Sol's (@Mr. Teatime) genuine joy at her recovery was contagious, and she couldn't stop herself from giggling. The adorable cat-droid who translated everything was the icing on the already warm cinnamon cake. Plus, it also made her grateful. Even though she had tried her hardest to learn sign language for Elidan, she wasn't very good at it. "Thank you so much, Sharky! But without you and Altair, I couldn't have done it." She paused, before tilting her head to the side. "Me, the stylish one?! I may be surprised because I've only seen you in Huttball stuff before, but you have some stylish taste yourself I'd say."

Then came Altair's (@Sreeya) far more intense response, which included him lifting her off the ground for a brief second, causing her to burst out laughing while her ears twitched up and down. "Yeh! I'm afraid I didn't magically grow after the surgery. Born short and stayed short. But it allows me to tease tall people like you!" Clove made an attempt at a joke, tilting her head to the right with a warm and bright grin. "No more accessibility issues..." Her grin faded into a happy sigh. "Yups, that has been one of the most enjoyable parts. Although, thanks to you, birthday boy, I haven't had any accessibility issues since the gardens!"

Maerae? (@Vicc125) What a unique name; it was perfect for a girl with such a unique appearance. And she looked like she was about to burn. It was the downside of being extremely pale, much like Clove herself. While the sun brought out her freckles on her nose and cheeks, as well as the pink hues all over her body, she was also prone to burning if she didn't pay attention. "It's lovely to meet you, Maerae. Please don't take this the wrong way, but do you need some sunscreen? I got some with me."

Clove's uncertainty was rekindled by Aadya's (@Logan) almost predatory smirk, and her smile faded. And once again, she couldn't help but wonder if she was safe. And yet, she didn't look away. Even after Aadya started scanning her, her gaze remained fixed on the Sith's darker eyes. "It's nice to see you again, and thank you. Took some effort but I'd say it was well worth it." To be honest, the Force knew how hard she had to work to keep her face as straight as possible and her body locked in place. Because she was on the verge of lunging at her and ripping her hair out.

But she didn't. She kept her face in check and her body unmoving. Anything to avoid ruining the party, or give Aadya the satisfaction of a reaction.

Her large brown eyes darted to Vahl (@Altaris), and her expression instantly softened to something far more warm. "You look amazing, too; I love your bikini and sarong!" Her lips curled into a shy smile once again. "The energy lance? Sugar, that was a complete surprise to me as well! But, thank you, and I'll definitely tell you more, BUT!" The plans for volleyball began to circle around, and Vahl seemed to be interested in joining as well. "After the match."

"I'll be watching!"
The half-Annfyn declared. She really wanted to join the volleyball team, but it was just one step too far right now. But it didn't bother her. Being in—somewhat—good company and watching them have a great time was far more important to her. Plus, it wouldn't hurt to do some subtle mindfulness and perhaps sneak in some meditation to calm down. So, with all of that in mind, Clove made her way to the towels near the volleyball court. It took a second, some fiddling with the cane, and her legs going places, but she managed to sit on top of it, all while feeling the sand between her toes for the first time in many many months.

Altair was completely and utterly surprised at the term of endearment, and it gave him visible pause. He stared at her like a bantha in the speeder lights. His face was flushed and it took a moment to recover before he quipped back, “Maybe I do want you sweatin’ o'er me a little,” He admitted quietly, a sheepish grin making its way across his face. Altair’s gaze lingered on her for a while, his mind drifting to many things that jumbled his thoughts. There were deeply entrenched emotions that began to stir that he promptly had to shut the lid on as he kept walking. Why was everything so complicated with Aadya? He chugged down his beer before setting it down and walking over.

The tiefling pushed aside his thoughts as he focused on the game. He stood on the same side as Aadya, glancing over at Vahliri and Pedee. He flashed a grin back at his opponents, grabbing the ball to prepare the game. He tossed it up into the air and served it over to begin playing.

So they are beginning to play, and Pedee looks like she is with the elvish organic Vahl. With the ball served her way, she would punch it once it comes her way with her phrik-chad fist. It was a hard punch as if she was punching an organic, ball would be sent into the net and would rebound back to the ground of her team's side unless Vahl is able to make a quick save (?).

"How do we play this game 'Volley Ball' again?" All her databanks have nothing on this aside from 'hit the ball' and something about a 'net'. She probably should have asked sooner too.

Evidently Father didn't program her to know how to play beach games.

Soleil was just about to sign something in Zoella's direction when he heard the word 'babe' out of Aadya's mouth, at all people. His eyebrows shot up fast enough that they could have flown off his face. As a match, his mouth might've dropped off his head for how much it fell open. Shutting his mouth and turning to look, he caught the red on Altair's face. *Aha*.

That was unexpected. Sol glanced toward Vahliri, who looked none-too-happy about this development. He watched them all walk off to volleyball, blinking several times, looking bewildered. With a small head-shake, he cleared his wandering thoughts and turned back to Clove, who didn't seem recovered enough to be jumping and running around just yet.

Soleil looked at Zoella, grinning, and inclined his head toward the volleyball net. Grabbing some energy drinks with people's faces on them, he carried them over and plopped himself down in the sand to watch for now. He'd join in if there was another player, for so long as it was two-on-two he'd just cheer and play ref, chat people up, so on.

"There's floaty stuff if you wanna swim," informed RoboCat when Sol signed in Clove's direction. Inner tubes and such were stored by the pool. Back to the game, Sol whistled and pumped his fist to cheer on the teams, grinning widely. It was an odd-looking mix for volleyball, that was for sure; two shorter Sith, Altair's brick-wall of existence, and a war droid.

It was gonna be great.

Vahliri kept her stance wide, watching as Altair served the volleyball over the net to kick off their game. She flashed one last hint of a smile before turning her attention to the ball - honeyed eyes following as Pedee moved in to act. The half-Annfyn positioned herself accordingly, prepared to step in and attempt to hit the ball over the net if served her way.

What she wasn’t expecting, however, was for Pedee go falcon-punch the volleyball like she was hitting a speed-bag.

The half-Annfyn went wide eyed, immediately sprinting forward and diving in an attempt to sent the ball over the net. Unfortunately, she wasn’t quick enough to save the ball from colliding with the net and rebound towards Vahliri’s feet. She blinked a few times, turning back to her droid teammate when she asked the question about the game. Vahliri made a hand gesture towards the droid, attempting to mimic the motion of hitting the ball over the net, not at it.

With that, Vahliri raised the volleyball and served it back other the net to Altair and Aadya - continuing the game.
