There was taste in the air. Short, fleeting bursts of flavour that faded away, enough to distract her until Malicia's head tipped towards a sound. A murmuring? Muttering? No. Her advance down the long, winding halls of the capital building came to an abrupt stop and she turned towards a door.
There was the sounds again.
Malicia crept closer, allowing the door to hiss open only to reveal a small, huddled group of women and one of them clinging to a dying man. The crying she had heard earlier grew louder when the Sith councillor entered the room. Her deep, humming red blade took up more of the doorway than her own figure and she tipped her head slightly at the whimpering women.
There was something she wanted to say, now that she had the chance. "I understand why you fear me, but truly all your fear is misplaced," Malicia explained, there was no condescension in her voice. She was giving them a gift. She lifted her free hand in front of her, finishing her explanation, "You'll become part of me soon, and then you'll see. You'll understand."
Screams erupted from the room until all the life was ripped and drained from the small group of survivors. Malicia left after, satisfied but disturbed that she hadn't gotten a call about the leaders. She clicked the comm on her helmet, "Why has no one found their leaders yet? I want them found NOW," she growled.
She had a growing sense of irritation, and her eyes settled on a dead DDF members body. Right then she decided something. Malicia brought her hand up, bringing his comm to her hand. It was time to visit the roof.
