Okay, I've been thinking about this ever since I made my Padawan. I want to make a Sith character, specifically a Pureblood. I don't know how much lore SWRP has on the Sith Species and such (Digging through YEARS of stuff would take me ages), so I've been mostly going on what I can scrape off the intertubes. So I have questions before I begin trying to write anything out.

1: From reading a few other Pureblood bios I know some of the Sith worlds are populated by them. Are others? Including Ziost?

2: How are Purebloods viewed as far as the current Empire is concerned?

3: When were they reincorporated into the current Empire? Or when were they rediscovered?

4: Male or Female? (I'm feeling whimsical and mostly this question is for lulz.)

5: Any other information that you think maybe helpful I'd appreciate.

Due to a ruling of Adena a few months ago, there are no Sith Worlds populated by Sith Purebloods. The culture on Ziost went extinct long before the Galactic Civil War in canon. Yes, there are purebloods still alive, but these purebloods number about one to two thousand, and are spread out across the entire galaxy, living as regular members of other cultures. There are no more Sith Pureblood cultures or civilizations.

Purebloods are viewed as just another alien in the Imperium, alongside Humans and Twi'lek and Trandoshans.

They weren't. See my above comments.

Playing a species that suffers from a great deal of inconsistency and obscurity in canon leads to controversy, which is why I am sadly, questioning my current pureblood Sith characters.

I really wanted to play a pureblood living as they would during the time of the ancient Sith, so I got creative. I wrote in my character's bios about how the species have in the last few thousand years, begun to regroup on the homeworlds and re-build their societies and traditions again. Some, such as the Kressh ruled planets, are totally loyal and submissive to the Empire in the hope that they will be allowed to continue preserving their culture. The Sadow worlds oppose the Empire and the current Sith Order as they are the ones partially responsible for destroying their culture and driving the species to near extinction in the first place.

That would have been a brilliant story, Martha, if you'd done it in a different era and timeline, rather than this one, four thousand years after they were nearly extinct.

I know we've clashed horns (no pun intended) over the last couple of days over this thing, but I have nothing against you or the Purebloods themselves, but with both logic and rulings of the Admins stating there aren't any Pureblood civilizations, your ideas aren't really executable in this timeline. In the next timeline however, it could be alot of fun and a great story however.

I'm going to chat with Adena to clarify that ruling that there are no Pureblood societies. Personally I think it's a little too absolute for something that's really a pretty big non-issue in the larger scheme of things, and I'd rather give you guys more options rather then less given the amount of interest in the species.

I should chime in for clarity: There was never a shut case ruling - It's been pretty much established that purebloods are rare- there is ( likely) not a shining mega utopia of trillions or empires... that was stated long before and what I have echoed, but not so rare that there is reason to disallow players from making one and having unique back stories. Some may be from a small pocket population hidden away, some may have grown up in the greater population centers and blended into the crowed as just " another near human species" - what have you. Many options- nothing so absolute as saying no societies or villages or anything like that. - I would ( speculate) there is not a solid universal cultural one-ness with all members of the species, I'd think that would differ pocket to pocket

Just do what I did with Audi, state he was born in a more tribal culture, Audi was born on Ziost to a tribe that believed they were Massassi descendants of Naga Sadow. That goes with the Admins rulings of no LARGE cultures but still gives the character a background that makes relative sense.

So... Should I wait to make make this character? Or can I go ahead with them? Kind of at a loss as which to do at the moment due to the information I'm getting.

Question 4= There aren't too much Pureblood females. We need to balance it out more.

Question 5= Purebloods are the best species for a Sith (In my opinion. They are second to Twi'leks.)

Female Sith it is then. I'll try and incorporate some of what was mentioned in here on the profile.
