Your post is dripping with sarcasm.

Her IP address was logged in the database as this was happening. She didn't cover her tracks.

If you're just going to be sarcastic and suggest we're lying, just leave.

First, big fan. Love the website.

I'm sorry for the sarcasm, and I wouldn't go so far as to suggest you're lying, but I want to ask is if the suspect, after being stripped of admin privileges, still had database access. If she did, touching the database isn't so much incriminating as it is just leaving finger prints on a high-traffic crime scene. Apparently this was a large-scale attack and a doxxing to boot, and Bee -- well, I don't see Bee doing that.

You are directly suggesting he is lying. You're suggesting a whole bunch of people are lying. It's despicable and in bad taste. Some of us care deeply about the site, and the people we have come to know through the site. Take your trolling elsewhere.

I know you mean well but let's not start attacking people here. If there are any issues people have, let the admins involved respond. Thank you.

I do appreciate all the support everyone has shown me and continues to show me. Today has been very stressful, but everything is under control and I shouldn’t suffer any lasting consequences.

I would like to take this opportunity to remind everyone about the importance of safe online behaviour: be mindful about what you share online and enable two-step verification wherever possible. You never know who you can thrust. Thank you @GABAroo , @Brandon Rhea and @Sreeya for the professional manner in which you handled everything: I was really impressed. I would also like to thank @Shawn for having our back: knowing someone as qualified as you was working to recover everything really took a weight off my shoulders.

Finally, I would like to thank my fellow administrators : @Arclight , @Clayton , @Dmitri , @Malon and @Phœnix . That was quite the team-building exercice and I look forward to working with you on the fun stuff.
Next time can we do trust falls instead?

We've got your back, dude. I'm sincerely sorry you were personally targeted by all of this craziness, and even more sorry that apologies are all I can offer, but I'm glad you're sticking around with us. I look forward to working with you in the future.

Early Thursday morning a series of IPs started trying to login to the underlying servers hosting thestarwarsrp.com. Appeared to be a generic DDoS/botnet. All were attempting to login repetitively, generally indicative of password guessing attempts. During that time window and amidst the noise of the bots, a single IP address made a connection on the first attempt. Given the complex passwords used to access underlying systems, generally indicates the user knew exactly what the password was (versus say, a lucky guess by a bot). System audit logs showed that once logged in the individual executed commands on the underlying database, causing the errors from this morning/afternoon. Gave the IP address over to site admins to compare against any known users.

You should really put this as your signature. I'm not even joking, because your explanation there made me think of Kung Fury for some reason, and Kung Fury is a masterpiece of 80's narm.

Pretty sad that somebody would be this vindictive over something so pointless, especially somebody who (at least at first) I found to be fairly funny and nice to talk to. But eh. I've seen people be worse over less, so I'm not particularly surprised, I suppose.

Congrats admin team on fixing up the place, especially @Shawn and @Aberforth. Abe, you are the site's new stoic woobie. Shawn, good job keeping Sreeya happy, it means there'll be less character death in the coming week or so (whether or not that's more or less entertaining is up to everybody else to decide).

I have cast the bones of a goat, and we are to have a bountiful harvest this season. Praise be to Shawn.

So if there was a momentary report filed against @Shawn that's my bad. The like and report buttons are right next to each other and you can guess the rest.

But many thanks to him and everyone in the admin team! I won't make jokes about you for a few days! :)

Wait, I thought you had to actually submit the report after hitting the button?

I have no idea, never filed a report. I clicked it and it started loading something so I went back and clicked like instead.
