She had been inaccessible/unresponsive for along time, so we figured "stepping down" sounded better than "fired".

What an incredibly petty series of actions over what essentially is a game. I have more than a fair share of issues with my previous SW board but I just left. What point is there in lashing out at others. It just makes you look a little crazy.

And attacking Abe personally? That's literally criminal in nature. Again, unhinged over what is effectively...well let's be honest...nothing on the grander scale. This is a hobby for anyone and a place to write and interact and...that's sort of it, really. A clubhouse, a sort of comic book store we all geek out at. I sincerely hope charges are brought forth against her. There are some lines you don't cross.

Let's say for a minute this was a paying job. You don't show up, you get fired. If that was the case then she has no one to blame but herself. If personal problems have cropped up for her and she needed a break, why not ask for a leave of absence? I don't think the owners here would be too upset about that.

Agreed. To say the events that unfolded were a profound disappointment is an understatement. But we're happy to say that we've recovered, we're implementing extra security, and we're vigilant against a repeat performance.

We never want to say we're firing anyone. It's always about making sure the person doesn't feel uncomfortable in public. But if you want to let the cat out of the bag yourself, then you do you. That's why, when I posted this thread, I was upfront about it. Because she had already admitted the truth.

Man, what a crazy event...But yes, thank you Shawn and to everyone who helped get the site fixed.

There is one question from me though, if already asked and answered I apologize but I didn't see it. I noticed that switching to our sub-accounts isn't a possibility right now, just curious if that's still something needing fixed or if that was something removed for reasons not yet ready to be explained in detail.

My feelings go out to @Aberforth for being the unfortunate target of this. Stay strong dude! I find it extremely dissapointing and shocking that a former admin would hack the site like this. Thanks to @Sreeya's husband and all of the other admins involved for the fix!
