Kael rose from his seat and glanced over to the group sitting in a corner of the bar. The group had been eyeing him for some time now as he sat at the counter sipping his drink. The group would constantly lean over and whisper to each other. Kael turned his head toward the holograms showing the latest news of the galaxy. "The Republic Forces have not moved for a while now..." He heard them say as he finished the last bit of his drink. "Another one please." Kael said in a demanding tone as he laid some money down on the counter. The bar was a local hotspot for spacers and low life on Nar Shadda.

As he continued to sip on his drink Kael started to remember his family and what had happened to them. He thought of his life before all that had happened. The decline of his Clan, the relocation of his life. He had heard some rumors of some Rodarch members on Tatooine, that was his next stop of course. He had to find all he could as the head of Clan Rodarch.

He unzipped his jacket has the heat started to get to him. He sat and looked toward the ceiling and spoke out loud. "What am I going to do." As he finished his sentence. He felt the presence of some beings approach him. "Well you could be unconscious." Said an unknown voice. Kael turned around and saw the group that had been sitting in the booth behind him.

Kael sighed and grinned. "Guys don't you have something better to attend too." He said in a snide remark. "Like attend to whatever you call a life?" He said chuckling. One of the few grasped his shoulder and yanked him toward the group. "Look, Hutt-spawn, we don't like you. The way you sit, and stare at the holograms. We think you need a lesson from our gang...." They started to say before Kael interrupted with. "Let me guess, your some BIG gang that runs the half block of this shady district of Nar Shadda. On top of that you do not like me because I am an unknown entity. Right am I guessing that right?" He said as he hiccuped.

The one human who had a hand on his shoulder reared back and swung toward Kael's face. Kael saw the fist approach but unfortunately was unable to avoid it and received the punch full force. Kael fell out of his seat but was no longer held by the threatening body. Kael gathered himself and raised his fist. "So its going to be like that. Okay, then lets go." He said as he lunged toward a Iridonian who stood closest to him. Kael threw a haymaker at the horned opponent and stuck his jaw with a great force. The Iridonian collapsed to the ground unconscious. The rest of the group approached Kael ready to slay him where he stood. Kael drew his knife from his back under his jacket. He slashed at another opponent and cut deep into his chest, causing him to collapse to the ground screaming. The rest of the gang backed up and attempted to assess the situation. Kael while holding the advantage lunged toward another person in an attempt to deliver a stab. However because of his intoxication he missed. The next thing he knew he saw a man reach to his side and draw a blaster pistol and raise it towards Kael.

Kael was stuck, he had lunged to far and was unable to gather himself to gain an advantage. Kael stared down the enemy as he reached for his own blaster pistol on his thigh. Anticipation for the next instance rose as the bar sat silent and watched.

(OOC: This is open to any independent and republic players. Looking for people to start a journey in the galaxy.)

As the rains of Nar Shaddaa spit down on the moon below, a hulking figure made its way against the flow of the crowd, the various beings flowing out of the way like water around a stone. Some who might have said something or other about the other being going the wrong way looked up only briefly, quickly surmising that such an admonition was not worth their time.
Or their health, most likely.
X3R had pulled part of his cloak over his head, trying to protect his chassis against the lashing rain. Normally, such adverse weather would not have phased him, but Nar Shaddaa's precipitation was known to strip the paint off speeders that were left out in it too long.
X3R had come to Nar Shaddaa looking for work, an activity that seemed to be the droid's natural state of being. Credits were running low again, and before long, the droid would need professional maintenance, which was getting more expensive as the centuries wore on.
More pressing for now, however, was getting out of the rain.
X3R's cranial turret scanned over the heads of the crowd, whirring softly. He spotted an open doorway; a cantina, by the look of it. He turned his lumbering course toward it, causing a wake through the press as the packed pedestrians scrambled to clear his new path.

An alarm buzzed briefly as X3R stepped through the doorway, and the bartender spoke.
"No dr-"
The old human behind the bar looked up, and went immediately silent as he beheld the dripping monolith which had walked in out of the rain.
The droid regarded the human.
The human returned to studiously polishing a glass.
X3R's head servos whirred again as he surveyed the cantina, taking in the furnishings and patrons. The droid had long-ago learned that cantinas the Galaxy over were more or less the same, though some were more tolerant of misbehavior on the part of their clientele than others.
This one, it seemed, was particularly permissive; there was a fight going on in one corner, what seemed to be a local street gang against a single human male. The other patrons were giving them a wide berth, but otherwise, they seemed to be being ignored.
X3R made to do the same, continuing to scan the cantina, before making a discovery.
If droids could sigh, X3R would have.
There were, in point of fact, only a few types of furniture which could take the ancient war droid's full weight. Nar Shaddaa cantinas, being very cosmopolitan, were generally equipped with places for larger, heavier species to sit, reinforced chairs, benches and the like.
Right in the middle of the fight was the only such chair X3R could detect.
He lumbered forward...

Back when Nolan was home on Coruscant, he met some very interesting characters, namely the bounty hunter that kept babbling about the Force and the Jedi. It certainly gave Nolan something to think about, yet he couldn't just go join the Jedi right now. Such a radical change to his life was something he needed to consider and he wasn't even sure if the Jedi would accept him. So, even though he was supposed to be looking for them, he decided to take a little detour back to Nar Shaddaa. It was a place he could blend into quite easily, and people tended to trade whispers and words they normally wouldn't say elsewhere. Nolan figured he could make his decision on what he heard about first. Whether it be the Jedi or some kind of treasure that he'd been looking for originally anyway.

Still, even though Nolan's life became much more complicated than he needed it to be, this was still better than being locked up in a jail cell. Not that he would allow himself to get arrested in the first place. After arriving on Nar Shaddaa, Nolan reminded himself that he needed to be even more cautious here than in Coruscant's undercity. Both had questionable people, but Nar Shaddaa was the place they went to the most. At least that's what it seemed like to Nolan. As he made his way through the streets, he kept his ears peeled for anything interesting. That's when he saw a half-decent looking cantina. Nolan couldn't think of a better place to try and hear anything about the Jedi or a good way to make credits.

Of course, right as he walked in, there was trouble brewing. Nolan rolled his eyes as he couldn't seem to escape some kind of disturbance no matter where he went. But in the bar fight, he saw an opportunity. He could use it as a distraction to pick pocket some unsuspecting patrons. As he brought a hand up to do that, he stopped, rethinking his actions which was something he'd never done before. Surely, stealing wasn't the Jedi way. But then, why did he care about that? It wasn't like he knew he was going to join them. With a groan, he shook his head, disappointed with his own thoughts.

He turned his attention back to the fight, noticing that it seemed to come at something of a standstill. Not only that, but some huge and strange-looking droid was walking toward them. Hell, that thing looked ancient. With a sigh, Nolan began to approach the group as well, wondering why he was even doing this. With his most charming smile and putting his hands in his pockets, he regarded the man with the blaster pointed at the other guy.

"Hey, there," He greeted in his friendly tone. "Mind, uh...not fighting? It's really noisy and some of us are trying to have fun."

Nar Shadaa,a good place or entertain yourself or to find scum that would try to steal all you have, but Gareth had a special love to the planet full of low class thugs, because he could almost always find his preys here, since the criminals with bounties would always concentrate on these places.Gareth would enter the cantina to drink something before returning to the ship, but he wasn´t alone,he entered with another man that was unconscious and handcuffed.Gareth would sit on one chair and put the other man on another one, while asking to the bartender for one drink,at this moment, the bounty hunter had his heavy armor on,including the helmet and all of his weapons.

While he was awaiting for his drink, the captured man woke up,looked everywhere and then back to Galeth,he spilled some words out of his mouth, everyone could sense the fear in his words "Ple-please,let me go,I haven´t done anything to you" he said, the bounty hunter would not even look to the man,he would just tell him his reasons "You shouldn´t have messed with the hutts, they putted a bounty on you,,and I am recollecting it,don´t you even dare to say that you don´t deserve it,you and your gang aren´t better,I can take this bounty dead or alive, and 1000 less credits doesn´t bother me,so you better don´t try anything, wait... I know a way to make sure..." The Bounty hunter would grab the man by the head and smash it to the table with enough strenght to let the man unconscious again.

After that,Gareth would enjoy his drink, but he saw some people bothering a man that didn´t do anything, trying to hurt him,the man was able to take care of it until one took the blaster out. There was two types of people, people that attack someone with a reason, and people that didn´t.Gareth couldn´t stand the second type,so he would get up,take his electrostaff out and activate it,there was a man that tried to make the attacker put the blaster down,Gareth didn´t think that he would,so he chose to do it the safe way, with his hand he would gently move out of the way the one that tried to end the fight by talking "Pardon me" he said to him,he moved him away to be able to hit the one with the blaster in the head with his electrostaff, which was setted on stun, after taking care of the problem he would sit again on the same chair

His eyes were fixed on the blaster that was raised to his head. Kael wasn't sure what these thugs wanted with him but he knew he had to think of something. Before he could do anything he watched from the corner of his eye a large ancient droid approaching him. Kael thought to himself. "Well I just can't get a break. Seems my Clan is cursed." Kael shifted his body so he could slide his knife into his left hand and reach for his blaster pistol on his thigh. Kael then heard a voice "Hey, there," followed with "Mind, uh...not fighting? It's really noisy and some of us are trying to have fun." Kael saw a young man approaching. Things just kept getting worse.

He finally made his move and grasped his blaster, and started to draw it. However before he drew he saw a electrostaff catch the thug in the head and saw him crumble to the ground in convulsions before sitting quiet. Kael turned to the armored man with the staff as he put his blaster back into its holster and stored his knife away. "Thank you I appreciate that." Kael sad as he grasped his jacket and straightened himself up and ran his hand over his head as to fix the hair that wasn't there. "The name is Kael. If your interested." He said as he stuck his hand out to shake his hand.

The bar continued on like nothing had happened. Some droids came and drug the bodies out of the bar and life continued on.

Gareth would holster his electrostaff while watching the thug fall to the ground,he was simply going to turn back but the other one wanted to talk to him,to say thanks
"Thank you I appreciate that"
"No problem,uh...the electrostaff was setted just on stun,so... you will have to end him if you want, anyway he is not waking up until two hours atleast"
The droid would bring him out eitherway,if the man wanted to kill him or not
"The name is,Kael,if your interested"
"I am Gareth,if you wanna continue talking,I will be sitting over there"
The zabrak mandalorian would sit next to the man that he left uncoscious before, making sure he didn´t wake up,then ordered another drink

As the drunken man had gone down, everyone's attention went back to whatever they were doing before. It was a good thing someone had stepped in to fight, because Nolan wasn't going to. It was the quickest way to end the conflict, and it could have been worse. With everyone's attention turned away, Nolan seized the opportunity to swipe the wallet from the unconscious body before the droids showed up to take the man away. He hadn't stolen from the innocent bystanders when he had the chance, but perhaps it wasn't as bad as stealing from a guy that was ready to kill someone.

After stuffing the wallet into his pocket, Nolan made his way over to the other two men involved. It was too bad he couldn't do more to stop the attacker, otherwise the victim would have owed him. Oh, well. "Pretty close call there!" He said to the strangers with a smile. "I could have taken him on, but I'm not too heavily armed right now."

The fighting, it seemed, was over even before X3R had the opportunity to take part. This suited the droid fine; unless he was under contract, combat was only unnecessary wear on his servos and chassis that he was not being compensated for. He had waited tens of thousands of years for a signal from the High Command to come; for all he knew, he would have to wait tens of thousands more, and he fully intended to be in fighting shape when orders finally came.
For Glorious Xim, Whose Fist Shall Enclose the Stars and Whose Name Shall Outlive Time.
X3R appended those words to his thoughts whenever he considered his ancient duty. They were hard-wired into the deepest parts of his cognition circuits, he suspected. Academically, he knew the dictator Xim and his High Command were both likely to be dead, but his programming forbid him to acknowledge these facts as anything more than defeatist lies.
He returned his thinking to the present.
X3R lumbered over to the table where the small group of victors had gathered, seeming to ignore them as he pulled out the heavy, reinforced chair and took a seat. The heavy wood creaked beneath his immense weight.
His head swiveled around to face the bar.
"Bartender." He spoke in his electronic monotone. "One bottle of Okoan Mineral Liquor, thank you."
He swiveled his cranial turret back around, studying the assembled beings.
"My congratulations on your victory, gentlebeings. It was most efficient."

Kael turned to the young man who approached him after the small scuffle took place. "Pretty close call there!" He remarked to Kael. "I could have taken him on, but I'm not too heavily armed right now." He followed. Kael grinned and responded "Yeah, but I have had closer calls in my past." Kael kept a close eye on the young man lowering his hand to his credits in his pocket. 'I get a weird feeling about this kid. Like my bank account is trying to warn me about something.' He thought to himself as he stepped away. He turned his head and looked at him. "Come join me for a drink." Kael said to the young man. "Whats your name?" He asked.

As Kael was heading towards the bar his attention turned to the large droid that had approached him. "My congratulations on your victory, gentle beings. It was most efficient." The droid said to Kael. Not sure how to respond Kael said in an unsure tone. "Thanks, my mechanical friend. Um, what brings you to this part of the Galaxy?" He said as Kael waived the bartender for two drinks.

Invited for a drink! This guy was already friendlier than ninety percent of the people Nolan has met so far on his little adventure. Maybe it would be safe to ask him about the Jedi, but Nolan couldn't make any judgements just yet. He did notice that the man was guarding his pockets, which was not a good sign. Not that it crossed his mind to pickpocket this person, but he wondered if he'd been recognized. Because of that, there was no way he could give his real name. 'Nolan Lowe' was still a heavily wanted thief, despite his search for the Jedi to pursue a different life. He pulled his hood further on his head to cover up his white hair, which seemed to be a distinguishing trait.

"Name's Nicholas," Nolan replied with a smile, offering his hand for a shake as he sat down at the bar. "You can call me Nick. How about you?" He chuckled at the droid's compliment. Did a compliment really count if it came from a droid? He looked back at the man sitting next to him. "That your droid?"

Gareth would sit on his place once more, ordering for another drink,he heard the complinent from that big droid,Gareth didnt really know how to answer that

"Uh,thanks,I didnt do much"
The man would take his drink and take a sip, after that he handcuffed the man who he captured to the bar,for safety,so he could finish his drink without the needing of being careful, meanwhile the other two men started a conversation

"I remember that he came alone,I dont think he belongs to him,am I right?"
He said awaiting for a response either from the man or the droid
