DESCRIPTION
The Seraph-class flash speeder is a light combat repulsorcraft adapted from a civilian design produced by the SoroSuub Corporation. Entering production several decades prior to the Clone Wars, the Seraph was widely used by various planetary defense militias and law enforcement agencies, who appreciated its good handling, decent armament and passenger capacity and low-cost upkeep. The type was notably used by the Royal Naboo Security Forces, serving them well in their resistance against the Trade Federation's brief occupation of their planet.

In concept, the Seraph-class flash speeder is essentially a jumped-up technical, being in essence a civilian design fitted with a medium blaster cannon on a rotating mount. The execution is much more refined than most technicals, however, with the addition of a dedicated targeting computer and a remote control system for said turret, allowing the gunner to remain seated low in the vehicle and thus avoid being overly exposed during combat. The vehicle has a crew of 2, including a driver and the aforementioned gunner; 3 other passengers can be accommodated in the bench-style rear seat. The Seraph can carry 120 kilograms of cargo as well, plus consumables sufficient for up to 4 days of operation. The vehicle is also fast and nimble, able to reach 200 kph; the Seraph has a maximum ground clearance of some 2 meters, allowing it to clear most obstacles even out in undeveloped wilderness areas.

The Seraph-class flash speeders, though an older design, are still widely used even in the present day, especially on more "civilized" worlds, where their sleek lines are considered less offensive to the sensibilities of the general public.

LEGALITY
Restricted. Though based on a civilian design, Seraph-class flash speeders are armed, and are thus generally restricted from civilian ownership on most civilized worlds.

INTENT
To add a vehicle from Canon to our site's fanon.
