((OOC: This is a prologue for the 'Richest Race in the Galaxy' Rebel Mission))
Pavelo's hands were pale white as he guided the ship towards the arid surface of Tatooine. Beside him, Rodrigo was sleeping in the co-pilot seat. Not that Pavelo needed a co-pilot, he was perfectly capable of landing the ship by himself. In fact, if Pavelo had been a poor pilot, he would not even need to be here.
Throughout the entire trip to Tatooine, Pavelo had felt a tense nervousness build up in his gut. Tatooine was a hot zone of criminal activity, home to smugglers, theives, and bounty hunters alike. Pavelo could handle those scum, it was the heartless Hutts he was worried about.
Pavelo had lived for several years on a Hutt world, and during that time he had seen the extent of their vile actions. At least Pavelo hoped he had seen the extent, what other things did the Hutts do behind closed doors? Pavelo would swear that a Hutt would do anything for a credit.
Pavelo and Rodrigo were looking for one Hutt in particular, an ex-Hutt actually. Pavelo wondered what one had to do to be exiled from the infamous Hutt Cartel. Whatever it was, it could not have been pretty.
Rodrigo let out a yawn as he woke up as he stretched he asked Pavelo, "Are we there yet?"
"Almost".
Rodrigo nodded. He was more at ease with cooperating with a Hutt than Pavelo was. Rodrigo had used to work for the Hutts, and had briefly met with Nor'baal a few times before.
But Rodrigo no longer worked for the Cartel. Rodrigo and Pavelo had recently joined the Rebels, and now they were attempting their first mission. The two were trying to secure funds for the Rebellion, and to do this, they planned for Pavelo to win an upcoming podrace.
To win, Pavelo needed a way into the race. This was where Nor'baal came in. Hopefully the Hutt would have the credits, power, and influence to provide Pavelo with a podracer and get him a spot in the race. Rodrigo had managed to send Nor'baal a message from an encrypted comlink located on Nar Shaadda that had simply read:
I am one of your former employees. I have a buisnees venture for you. Interested?
The Hutt had agreed to meet so that they could discuss the deal. There was no way the Hutt would know Rodrigo and Pavelo were with the Rebellion. What the Hutt also did not know was that Rodrigo and Pavelo planned to come away with 500 million credits for the Rebellion. If everything went right, the Hutt would be none the wiser.
