Personally I'm still laughing about how Saddam has been saying for his entire trial "This is an unjust and illegal court. I am your leader, kneel before me!!" and now that he is sentenced to death hes like "All I want is peace between all Iraqis. Can't we all just be friends?"

hahaha, I agree. I think now that he knows he is going to die, he wants to be all "I love you, let's not fight, let's find a solution." The guy's a coward.

One question that ponders me, is if we are going to kill Sadam why didn't we do it when we first found him?

Because it had to be done by a jury of his pears, not just one or two people wanted to.

This entire case is an obstruction of justice. It was NOT a real trial.
[/b]
You're going to need to state reasons for that if you want anyone to believe you.

It was a foregone conclusion. It didn't matter what evidence anyone brought up. The defense could have sat there doing their taxes and it would have still been a guilty verdict.

Ok but why? I'm not trying to say your wrong, the opposite in fact. I want to understand where you are coming from and how you formed this opinion. I haven't really been following the whole thing, had more important stuff to do, so give me your reasons so I can form my own opinion.

The case was designed as a publicity stunt for the Right Wing party and the new Iraqi government. It was a foregone conclusion that Saddam WAS going to be convicted. There was little point otherwise. It turned a judicial 'inquiry' into a side show for America's entertainment.
