So I was talking with Ru about some possible missions, and we kind of noticed that apparently the Hutts have no faction leader with storm leaving? Unless there's something we both missed, which is probably the case.

Also the Republic hasn't been to terribly active. I'd be happy to make a senate character to help out, I imagine given the attack on the jedi temple a meeting of senate would be called no?

Just trying to be helpful and keep things rolling, I notice I'm starting to be the majority of thread starters in this forum section, not sure if it's a good or bad thing though so if I don't get any feedback on this one I'll be less active here I guess and take that as a sign of over activity... ._.;

There's currently a battle going on, but the upper eschelon of the Republic are Brits and they suck, obviously.

It's true, we do suck.

And, well, I wanted to sort out the battle between me and storm... I've got reinforcements coming and was going to post really heavily in the next few weeks, but now that storms gone, I have no idea on how that would work, considering that my character is stalling for time by negotiating with his... :/

Me and Vigz talked it out and we figured out a pretty decent way to go about the rest of the battle and then re-organize the Hutts.

I think we might want to end it OOC and post that, it's dragging on too long and this tends to grind to a halt.

Which battle? You mean the one with the Jedi and the Taung?

In that case, the faction leaders involved in that should come to a resolution as to how they want the end of the battle to be documented and therefore impact the rest of the RP. You can decide how it ends and post some sort of write up saying all that in OOC form at the end of the thread. Keeping it going any longer than this just holds things up.

Well I'll wait till Viggys back online and discuss it with him then we'll post a suggestion on here about how to go about the battle.

Me and mrun have worked out our suggestion, and our plan to end the thread. We'll hear yours first, and decide which would be the better way forwards. Mmmkay?

If you have a suggestion, please post it now. You don't need to wait.

I'm going with:

The attack should have worked on Mon Calimari, at least a strong presence on the surface should be there. Maybe we should make the taking of a planet a longer experience. Planets are not taken in one fell swoop. It'll take months to take a planet, and unless the planet surrenders, which it might, but it's unlikely.

End result. The planet Mon Calimari surrenders and forces are allowed to leave as apart of some deal struck under the terms of surrender. The Republic begins to transform Bespin into the shipyards it wants.

Bespin Fails. A leak in the plans of attack lead to a large force moving there. The Republic quickly sees the futile mission and is able to salvage the situation and retreat with most of the Force intact.

So the Republic loses both battles then? If we're going to arbitrarily decide the outcomes of these battles, then I'd let the Republic win one and the Hutts win one, unless the current trend in both threads is that the Republic is losing in which case never mind me.

No, Republic pretty much wins Mon Calimari. We can ignore the threads up to now because they've gone onto a completely impossible outcome.

Do you mean Mon Calimari?

Oh, that Bespin thing threw me. That's what made me think there were two battles going on, hence my thing about giving each faction one.

What we were thinking was that Kupo could send Republic reinforcements to the battle. The arrival of these ships would prompt the Hutt forces to destroy the Republic fleet they have captured (killing the player characters who were on the ships in that fleet), but then the Hutts must retreat from the Republic, giving up Mon Calamari. Venator (Storm's character) would personally cover the retreat, and his ship gets blow'd up while he's doing that.

This would conveniently remove Storm in an IC sense. This also allows the Republic to win Mon Calamari, while the Hutts can win Bespin.

Of course, we're open to hearing Kupo and Mrun's idea to end the thread, and as Kupo said we can all decide together what works best once both plans are on the table.

Destroying the fleet would be such a waste. Why wouldn't you execute the personnel and take the ships for Hutt use?
