Refel Ezer's training

[Ols]

"Well done," said Cade, "but you got hit, so we'll stop that there. How do you think you have fought today, then?"

 

[Jedi man]

"Not my worst Master but in all I think I could have done much better." Refel felt dissapointed with himself although he tried not to let that show to his master.

 

[Ols]

"Why?" he asked, "you are a new padawan, I would not expect you to go that far on your first attempt. But for now we shall sit and meditate. Center yourself."

 

[Jedi man]

Refel did as he was told glad his master wasn't dissapointed and began to concentrate within the Force centering himself ready for his next lesson or even to meditate in and of itself.

 

[Ols]

"Now tell me," he said calmly, "what Force powers you know and understand."

 

[Jedi man]

"I know how to use sight in the Force and how to use the Force to manipulate small objects but past that is beyond me right now." Refel waited for his master to speak.

 

[Ols]

"Small objects? Well then we shall see what you do with large ones. Scattered around the garden are small rocks, like this," he raised his arm and made a a rock, about half a meter across float in the air. He then dropped it next to another one. "I would like you to push one of those rocks with the Force."

 

[Jedi man]

Refel reached out and, with the aid of the Force pushed one of the small rocks skittering across the rough ground.

 

[Ols]

"Now pull it back to you," he said.

 

[Jedi man]

Refel did as instructed it dragging it over and setting it in front of himself.

 

[Ols]

((It's a rock with half a meter across...have you got giant palms or something?))

 

[Jedi man]

OOC:They're just swollen wahh!

((I guess the idea of finding something new that you've not been taught to do was wasted on you.))

"Now pull one rock towards you and push the other away," he said.

 

[Jedi man]

OOC:He knows how to use the Force on objects like that. I didn't mean small like pebbles but yeah about this size rock would be a maximum size he can manipulate so it should have been harder for him to do sorry.

IC:Refel had never manipulated more than one object at one timebut he would have to learn new things so he tried reaching out one hand facing out and another in a "lifting" posistion. He pulled at the one rock and pushed at the other but they both pushed away for a short distance and clattered to the ground and when he tried again they both pulled and ended with the same result. He looked at his master slightly frustrated but letting the anger ebb.

 

[Ols]

"Calm yourself," said Cade, "and focus. Close your eyes and feel them, then manipulate the Force around them. Take a deep breath and do it slowly."

 

[Jedi man]

Refel breathed deeply and tried again slower first picking up one rock then the other slowly shifting them in opposite directions.

 

[Ols]

"Good," said Cade, "you're getting the hang of it. Now I would like you to jump over that tree," he said gesturing to a tall tree, about three meters in height.

 

[Jedi man]

Refel let the rocks fall and stood turning towards the tree his master had selected. Refel hadn't tried using the Force to aid his jumping but he crouched gathering the Force and leaped his legs hit the top of the tree and he began falling towards the ground. He slowed himself with the Force but it still hurt when he hit.

 

[Ols]

Cade gritted his teeth as he saw his padawan in pain. He slowly walked over to him. "Are you hurt?" he asked, and then continued, "you must believe in yourself. Lack of belief leads to fear of failure, which leads to failure itself. You can do it. So show me again, if you are uninjured."

 

[Jedi man]

Refel picked himself up off of the ground. He was sore but not badly injured and he streched before taking a breath and once more squatting into a jump posistion he worked hard concentrating and beleiving he could do it. He leaped high arcing over the tree by about half a meter. Refel landed safely this time and turned to his master exhilerated,"Thank you master that helped."
