Then may argument is that it missed you and hit the wall and erupted behind you. The way my character fired can by no means be called an attempt at an accurate shot. He was in motion towards the ground when he raised the gun to fire. Arguably, your character could've stood still and the shot would've had a significant chance of missing him. However I do not feel that firing in the manner that I fired, my shot has a significant chance of missing everything that could cause it to go off. He didn't overshoot an entire building.

I didn't say he over shot anything. He hit a building, while Ragnorik was in the air, out of the way.

The sound waves still prevent Prudence from being able to redirect the grenade and both of you would still be hit with concussive blasts. 5m range on the blast.

Now, onto the complaints. Your gear is confusing as all get out considering how you have it listed in two places, but I will edit out the hood bit in a second. As far as the concussion blast... no that's not going to work like that. Like Gian has said, it explodes on impact. If you're wanting to argue that it impacts something behind him.... he just walked through a door. So what it would impact would be well through that door, and then impact somewhere in that building - making the effects null to Alaera.

Finally, she was never looking upward and would most definitely see your attacks and have time to react. : )

Anyway, as has already been mentioned, rulings are only given for reported posts. Tagging is not a good way of contacting mods in PvP threads and typically won't even receive a repspnse tbqh. So if this needs to be looked at feel free to report it

Hey @Vinn Esper - and to those concerned, coming in as the FL for the characters concerned here:

Before you reply (and to be honest, for what it is worth this extends to everyone in the thread), take a step back. Nobody here should be in a rush to complete this, and to be honest nobody here is out for blood, or should be out for blood; it is after all, a story. Write your post, maybe in a draft PM, walk away for a bit then come and read it again, and decide if it makes sense, or is rude.

There is a compromise here, something that will require gentle input from both sides of this.

So @Vinn Esper and others, remember, what matters here is telling a good story, not winning. I, as your FL, would rather you went on to tell more stories and enjoy your time with your character, rather than 'win' this thread. My thoughts on this thread do not matter, but what does matter is this:

As your faction leader/person leading the group who 'hired' your character to be here, I would rather we RP'ed in the future and continued to tell a story, that cause beef/division in this thread. Continue to play, but do not allow a hell bent desire to 'win' to override what should be enjoyable.

I am not upset and I am not trying to win. You want good storytelling. Factual storytelling is good story telling. Prudence you are the one that came out of the building. You made it clear in your posting that you were close to Gian. Gian himself admits there is a wall of a building behind him and you are all four meters away. The range of my weapon is 40m. I am firing towards Gian's character. No where in any of Gian's post does he mention using a door or being near a door in fact he mentions approaching me outdoors specifically. The only thing behind Gian is a wall that would've been hit.

Four meters from the door... yes... and if he dodges it will go past him through the door and hit whatever is inside. Alaera is coming out of a different door.

I guess I don't need to respond. Y'all attacks are pretty much completely overwhelming and any defense I can think of would logically result in the same thing as an auto hit. I can't bring myself to write a response where I basically okay my character getting all but killed when it's due to circumstances I can't bring myself to agree with. I have more integrity then to try and come up with some unrealistic excuse about how my character managed to dodge that. So I guess whatever happens happens.

Like I said in the PM I don't think the acid grenade would detonate on contact. Vinn could still kick the grenade and cause minimal damage to himself while he jumps out of the way into cover from Ragnorik.

It was my understanding that the acid just eats away at armor. If he's wearing a full set of Echani Armor, he's got fair coverage. His armor would be tanked though. He himself however, wouldn't take damage. Whatever you do, don't just dodge out of posting, you'll lose your character, and that's not what I want out of this thread.
