Races/Factions/Classes you'd like to see more players play.

I don't know if this is the proper place to put it, but I didn't feel it fit in any of the sub-categories or even in 'Suggestions' so I'll try it here, if I made a mistake, please move it to the appropriate spot.

What races, factions or player arch-types do you think could make for a more enjoyable and diverse Star Wars Roleplay Forum? I think it's fairly straight forward, I'll start.

I'd like to see some people roll a character in a religion or sect somewhat similar to theWitches of Dathomir. Now I know that -specific- faction doesn't exist, because, of course, of the date of founding, but something similar to that would be very interesting, even if it wasn't a matriarch society! I just enjoy the idea of fusing The Force with a druidic sense of the world.

Races I think we need more of? Zabrak, male Twi'lek and possibly Togruta. I enjoy the colorful races. :D

Classes? I think we could use more specialized types of characters. Like a Ship Mechanics, Demolition experts, big game hunters, rather then having a broad expertise, which really, can get boring when there's so many.

Anyone else have some character types they'd like to see?

I like seeing everyman characters, and it's always nice when someone makes a character who isn't so jaded they make Jonathan Swift look like a happy-go-lucky gentleman.

I have a male twi'lek, Mirrik, he's a badass. I also have an assassin who used to be a big game hunter while in retirement and after he got out of the military.

While I'd like to see more diversity,but I am afraid to think of someone trying something like a Hutt-Jedi (I am shocked to say offical canon has one).

I think you mean a Force Sensitive Hutt. I don't think any Hutt made it into the Jedi.

There was this one Hutt with a Lightsaber who got owned by Leia Organa.

Anyway, I have a Zabrak, if that matters. And an Umbaran -- I think I only saw my Umbaran and Project's senator thus far. :CHappy:

I think it'd be cool if we had political parties for the senate and if Alsakan showed up a bit more often considering its importance on the current timeline. Also, it would be cool if some recently acquired planets got mentioned a little more since they are the direct cause of the war. And if S13 actually tried to penetrate the Hutts or Bogan to a greater degree.

I have a Trandoshan Bogan in retirement at the moment.

I have been thinking of making a Vahla character I had in development though.

Sure there are a lot of miraluka, but people tend to just play them like a human.

For pete's sake they see with the force. Use that in your description of their feelings just slightly. You don't have to freak out about it, but... reference it.

Otherwise we forget your character isn't human XP. I've rp'ed with wookies who acted so human I forget they were wookies.

Anyway... I'd like to see chiss become available again, just cause I love them so much XP. But arkanian offshoots could use some love. I'm the only one I know of who's made one. I'd also love to see some togorians(the cat people. I hope I got the right name XP).

I was going to RP as a Miraluka with a child like innocence, but everyone turned it down. :(

No... innocence doesn't make "SUPER AWESOME! LOOK AT MY AWESOME!"

It just makes you innocent. Depending on how you do it, it could be really cool. You'd just have to do something apart from... "I haz childlike innocence. watch me murder things and giggle" because that has been done to death three ways from sunday.

You basically described the "Child like innocence right there." BUT she would not talk like that for quite obvious reasons...

Not my fault the character was made like that. She was just sheltered basically her entire life and does not believe in evil. Nothing wrong with making a character like that. Since she would not be allowed like that and be in the Jedi, I was going to revamp her to be a wanderer. Only reason I didn't do it was because I was worried if I did, people would pop right the fudge out of no where and want to murder her in the most graphic way they are capable of.

What I was saying, is an innocent character could actually not kill things. Could be kind, and gentle, and care about others. That way, when a fight happens, she actually has genuine confusion and regret about what is happening, unlike all the assasin/bountyhunter/jedi/bogan/sadists that often run about. Whatever. Examples:

Samueel got to his feet and went around the chair, stopping only to give a small bow to the council. "We will be on our way then. Contact your mole; have he meet us upon landing, if he can. Now, if you'll excuse us..." Samueel walked in a fast pace, making sure Mordecai was walking beside him.

He didn't shift his head towards Mordecai when he spoke; unlike most beings, who would face the receptor upon talking, Samueel rarely did that, for he could not see them, thus making him look rather cold despite his words sounding otherwise. "Any thoughts, Mordecai?"

In the distance, he could notice the ship, to which is walking was aimed.

The pair sat there quielty for about fifteen standard minutes. Samueel could feel Marduc's emotions, and he deduced he was performing the exercise correctly, thus calling out to him. "Very well, Marduc. Keep performing this exercise for a while longer." Samueel rose a hand out towards the desk, and again a drawer opened, letting out a small ball of irrelevant coloring, for Samueel couldn't tell colors apart; after all, his perception of the world was based upon his perception through the Force, and instead of recognizing details such as color he was granted with the gift of a reality which could hold no secret to his Sight.

He let the small orb levitate in front of him, lightly orbitating around its own axis. "Can you see this object, Marduc? Can you describe it?" It was aproximatly two inches in diameter; any remotely acurate guess would be good.

Samueel nodded as the Kiffar spoke acknowledging his words. "I see," said the blind Miraluka...

Meh, I dislike all of the races that arent at least near human. So I actually wouldnt like to see more of those. I dont really see anything the site is lacking tbh. Maybe more power hungry evil d-bags would be sweet. People who would stab a sibling just to get a slightly better position in life would be cool.
