While new guests constantly arrived at the bar, some of them probably bringing news, informations or perhaps useful contacts; of course, the Chiss merely ignored all of them, as it would be only impolite to divert his attention to anyone other than the girl with whom he talked. He slightly bit his lip in annoyance at the music, but didn't utter a single word until she had finished talking.

"Oh, there's no need to apologise..." he appeared thoughtful for a moment. "...Sister Lairiel." He finished his sentence before taking a sip from his cup and attempting to appear unfazed by the drink. "Well, I suppose so, I'm with the Brotherhood. My name is Savin, pleased to meet you." His face contorced itself into a polite smile as he bowed his head in respect to the girl. "I'm afraid you'll have to apologise me for any mistakes, I'm not quite used to dealing with the Sacred Band yet. I do hear your discipline rivals even the Ascendancy's, though." As the man finished talking, he started rubbing his left hand with his right and vice versa, his red eyes still fixing at the girl.

Bishnu silently spoke as if trying not to draw attention to it, "Correction, somebody you knew." she then quickly took a swig of her drink in hopes of putting his thoughts elsewhere, Bishnu brought her attention to back to the Moff trying to start up a conversation with her, this new Moff's attitude thus far annoyed Bishnu mildly, she was arrogant and naive, two traits which Bishnu had long since foresaw as the downfall of the order, they were so rampant and destructive within the Sith ranks, constantly causing failure after failure. Nevertheless, Bishnu pushed aside her annoyance.

"It's a pleasure, I assume this won't be the last time we met, perhaps at the next session." Bishnu said attempting to sound sincere.

By the looks of the surroundings the gathering was going well, no fights reasonable happy and dignified faces as opposed to that dreaded yacht party Bishnu was forced to attend, then again, Bishnu looked over at the socializing Nelies, basking in the raw attraction she felt towards her, not everything out of that party was emotionally scaring and utterly disappointing.

"Vulpus, I didn't know a sith like you could attract one female let alone two. With one being another moff no less."

this comment made him chuckle over the rim of his drink but he didn't reply to it directly. he was sure that Nelies (@Kuroshi ) would speak to correct the assumption which she did promptly. he let her speak before giving voice to his own greetings. "How's Vjun doing Eve? any problem with going back and forth between Lianna and Vjun?" he used her first name intentionally since Bishnu had already been talking to him and he waved aside the Darth title. if she prefered to be more professional he would either ignore such preferences or he would find some middle ground and just call her by her last name like comrades. the man knew who she was before she had even been given the position. it wouldn't do for the man in charge of the brotherhood's intelligence to not know who was within its ranks.

his eyes went in between the faces of the women in front of him and caught sight of a silver haired woman ( @Sierrien ) talking to some chiss male ( @Sizalou ). the room was starting to fill up a little. just like at a previous meeting Darth Daeva (@Sreeya ) had made it in attracting little attention. he wondered if he was expected to talk with the only other sith lord present but his present company was fine enough as it was. no doubt Darth Solum would hold it against him for talking to the woman that gave her the chills. the man took another drink as he realized just how much the brotherhood was like some public education social environment. just another reason to drink he supposed.

meanwhile he wouldn't be surprised if a nexu fight broke out in front of him amongst the two moffs and lover. it would make a dynamic and moderately humorous scene. Geir's eyes unfocused as he realized that would make a great title for a novel. he wasn't counting himself but Geir was more of the character they might bring in temporarily to distract from the true antagonist. if anything the offshoot was more of an anti-hero in a supporting role. Bishnu ( @Bigfatpenn ) being the protagonist and everyone vying for her affection with her mistress being insecure and the other female moff being the catalyst to cause a whole chain of domestic event. his attention was brought almost immediately back to the present as if he had never day dreamed for a moment. perhaps at another time he would think of funding a holo-drama or something of that nature.

Party, party, party. Although the strange whereabouts of this particular shin-dig was-was certainly questionable. A great time to show off the amazing side that was the brotherhood, maybe this was an excuse to hype up the drugs, sex and rock'n'roll that was the dark side to Jedi. But what Argus turned the corner to see was more of an awkward social gathering than an actual party. Cocking an eyebrow, surveying the room, there was at least one person he was acquainted with. Crossing the room to the bar, the Chiss braced an arm on the bar to the right side of one Darth Daeva. More than one person seemed to be wary of her presence, yet almost as abrasive as his master, young Argus strode through the absolute intimidation held with the title of Darth ordering his drink without a care in the world.

“A beautiful woman should never be alone at a bar, mind if I join you?”

As a whiskey braced the fingertips of the Chiss, red eyes surveyed the woman, bringing the glass to his lips and taking a sip. Replacing the glass on the bar, Argus smiled at the Darth, offering at least some interest in this dreary gathering.

Palin was quite content with the situation. She was a people observer through and through, and her enhanced senses allowed her to pick up on all conversation around her. A quick few seconds of listening pinpointed Geir Ambros and the borderline childish topic he was having to listen to. The snippets of conversation made her grin slightly before she stopped eavesdropping and focused on the music instead.

She caught the hint of a familiar scent as another being made an entrance, though she did not turn to look. The scent grew stronger until she placed the man moments before he sidled up next to her with a charming grin that had ensnared the Dark Lord of the Sith. Palin had inhaled her cigarillo as he spoke, releasing the cloud as the exquisite smelling smoke surrounded him.

“Are you here to rescue me, Argus?”

Palin observed the whiskey that slid towards him, and she clicked her glass against his before taking a drink. She observed him quietly, hawk-like eyes always boring in to make anyone feel like prey. She was a hunter in every way, even in a setting such as this, and she had a feeling the man was one himself. He had a strategic agenda about him at all points, whether it was commanding a fleet or tilting his head at a certain angle and smiling or piercing into someone’s eyes with his smoldering crimson gaze. Palin analyzed him, her mind calculating rapidly what his agenda was now.

“Truth be told, I’m not a fan of these things, but I figured I should make an appearance once in a while,” Conversation couldn’t hurt. She took another sip from her whiskey, “What adventures are you up to lately? I imagine with your…connections you have free rein all around the Imperial quarters?”

The Chiss let out a sensible chuckle at her first words. Palin hardly seemed to be the one that need saving any time soon, but the thought of rescuing a fair lady of the night from the awkward babbling of present company, well that was fairly humorous. This was an interesting dance of words, looking towards the barkeep and waving them away, it looked as though the eyes of Argus flared in their crimson brilliance as the scent filled the air around him. As a normal human's pupils would flare, there was something more hypnotic about what Chiss could do with theirs, and how they could hide their intentions.

“I do offer certain services, from time to time.”

Tension increased in the Chiss' jawline, as lights slowly danced around the room, extenuating the outline of the man before Palin and drenching him in shadows. A visage of the man was all that could be seen, leaving only a burning pair of hungry eyes in view, until once again revealing the welcoming expression of a strong jaw and overconfident grin. It was her next quip that shot a dagger into the gut of the Sith, perhaps the succubus was onto something, or maybe it was just an idle compliment about being attractive. Putting that one down to memory, there could be a time for some payback for that. It would be bad to linger on that though, leaving only a second to let her know she hit somewhere.

“Apprenticeship to the Dark Lord has it's quirks, with how some swoon at titles.” Looking towards Geir, perhaps drawing attention to the other man or from the man himself. “Others... not so much.”

Returning his gaze back towards Palin. “I've been obtaining alliances, looking for... opportunities.” Drawing another slow, savory, taste of the liquor. “Care to dance?” Argus asked, drying his right hand on a napkin then offering it to the woman.

The puppy had a bite. Palin felt a smile tug at the corners of her lips, just enough to soften the icy gaze she otherwise had on him. His underhanded jab at Geir, when he knew full well the repercussions for insulting a Darth, was almost refreshing. She wondered how much of his boldness came from his character trait versus a misplaced sense of security from sleeping with the Dark Lord. Regardless, it was not her concern to speculate, and she returned to her drink.

“Looking for opportunities? Aren’t we all…” She met his gaze again, sliding her almost empty glass away, “What sort of ‘opportunities’? I imagine you’re not the type to want to stay in one spot for very long,” She didn’t clarify as to whether she meant geographically or rank, leaving it to him to make the distinction. His offer to dance took her visibly by surprise, thin eyebrows rising up on her pale face.

“A Sith that knows how to dance?”
There was no denying the surprise in her voice. Dancing had been one of her favorite hobbies and she had only been surrounded by Sith that didn’t care too much for the finer things in life. She grasped Argus’ hand, letting him feel her cold skin that was an immediate reminder that she wasn’t human.

Palin allowed him to lead her out onto the floor, glancing up as he towered above her. She paused for a moment, allowing him to lead. She would fall into step with him, close the distance to where she could smell the whiskey in his breath. It was exhilarating to dance again, her eyes piercing into his as she focused on the music, “You are quite bold. Or stupid. I can’t decide which.”

"Nice to meet you, Savin." She offered a genuine smile towards the man, before letting out a laugh and shaking her head. "There's no need to apologize. We do train hard so that we can fight hard, but we're not all work and no play. Or at least I don't think we are." Not like the Sith, anyways, though she didn't say that part particularly out loud. Not exactly the crowd for saying those kinds of things. She was fairly certain everyone else in the room was a Sith. She did find it interesting that he commented on their training and compared it to the ascendancy instead of the Sith themselves. She wondered if that was a compliment, and then decided that it must be. Otherwise he would have been insulting his own people, which she didn't think was likely.

"I don't come to many parties like this, so I'm not really sure what's thought of as normal." Her eyes shifted towards the music box, and the people dancing out on the floor before looking back towards him. "I was thinking talking would be the place to start, so here I am. Doing that." She brought her drink up to cover a moment of awkward silence. At least awkward on her side. "So, how do you think the war is going?" That had been her reason for initially wanting to talk to him, so she might as well get down to it. "I haven't been out to the front lines myself. I mean, yet. Probably shipping out pretty soon here." She smiled again, doing her best to seem as normal as possible. It wasn't too hard in a room full of Sith to seem normal, she just couldn't help feeling out of place.

"There's always a need to apologise in these situations, Sister Lairiel." Savin replied, taking another sip from his cup. His characteristically Chiss red eyes darted around the room for a moment as another of his people joined the party, apparently Darth Solum's apprentice, Argus. He shook his head ever so slightly before turning his attention once again to the conversation he was a part of, lightly biting his lip as he thought over the girl's question.

"The war? I thought it was rather obvious to anyone who isn't ignoring the galaxy at large." His tone was one of certainty, almost arrogance.

"As a war campaign, we're absolutely unrivalled, really. However, I can't help but see this war coming to a close with at most a pyrrhic victory with the way the Sith are going on about it, really. You see, due to our philosophies, beliefs, our Code, we're bound to fight. However, that's a rather unsound military strategy, you see... And that's why we're going to waste more soldiers than needed, until sheer numbers and might bend the Republic. Absolutely foolish method, if you ask me." Savin answered, appearing rather confident in his words as he spoke, taking another sip from his cup.

Leading the duo in their dance, hand in hand, while the other explored the slender curve of the Darth's figure. Connection through their eyes was the next step, not that-that was hard, it felt like they had hardly stop looking at each other since the Chiss entered the room. Fluid was their dance, like water gently flowing down a stream in spring, and it was quite delightful to set aside almost all aspects of war to spin into a world created by two beings. Although Argus was here for a little something more, to plant the seed for a smooth ascension one day, there was pure bliss in the familiar footsteps of an old life in political balls courting future brides. Not the same situation, obviously, as those women of the past were dolls compared to a person who could at any moment decide his death. Maybe there was a little stupidity involved in this plan, yet what is life without it's thrills?

“I come with many surprises, boldness might be one.” An enchanting smile braced his lips.

Although the length of time began to increase in Palin's first question, Argus carried on without a care in the world, his concentration was more involved in the step. Until the song began to slow, transitioning into something more the Chiss had never heard and was confused how to dance to. Looking up into the darkness of the prison above, a disgruntled look upon his face, there was a second before a sigh escaped his lips.

“I'll have to show you what a real party is later.”

Returning to the woman's intoxicating stare, transferring from his familiar tempo to one that filled the room, there was no time for agitation towards the DJ. Maybe the patience of the Darth's was coming to an end, which would be very counter productive, and Argus would have to change that by dissolving some of the mystery behind his goals.

“Apprenticeship gets very stagnant at times. I wish to become something more to the Sith, and I know the hardships of angering one very seductive Darth.” A play with his voice on those last three words, using the curve of his mouth to seem endearing, forming those last words into a compliment. Confidence was practically shining off Argus as he played with danger.

“I remember the events of Rhen Var, and how that was all caused because of some disagreement between the two of you.” Cocking his head a tiny bit, exploring her visage with his eyes, free hand closing her body to his.

“Tonight I've come to gain an ally in you, and to discover the price of that.”

Palin moved with him, twirling out and spinning every time he lifted his hand, always coming back into their enclosed space. She felt his hand along the small of her back, his grip digging in just enough to be bold. His eyes met hers, and he had no qualms with leading her. She allowed herself to be lead, the surroundings becoming a mere blur, “Where did you learn to dance?”

As he spoke of his boldness, that smile was back again. It suited him oddly well, his eyes glinting with hidden intelligence and an analytical mind he kept guarded. Palin’s own gaze looked back with the intensity of a hawk eyeing a prey from afar. She didn’t miss his abrupt change in mood as the music changed, an amused grin gracing her features. As he uttered those dangerous words, a single eyebrow raised, followed by a soft chuckle.

“What do you hope to gain from me?” She had a hand placed on his shoulder as they danced. That hand same slowly began to travel down towards the front of his chest, fingers tracing along lightly till she applied more pressure. The hand came to rest atop his chest, “When vying for an end…maybe sometimes it’s not so bad to linger on the means,” She had her own grin to reflect upon his smile, the latter of which was beginning to grow on her.

As he mentioned Rhen Var, Palin couldn’t help but laugh, “Kira is a child that will surely learn one day that not everything will go her way. Having me as an ally won't give you any special treatment,” The hand on his chest clutched the front of his clothing, gently tugging him close so his head was closer to her height. She leaned in then, her icy breath brushing against his ear as she spoke, “What are you so afraid of?”

Despite his confident demeanor, she could smell and almost taste the fear on him. Normally this was the type of thing that invoked her to destroy. In this case, it was exhilarating. There was fear for life in him, fear of uncertainty, fear of never finding a place to belong, fear of oppression. She got that from the intoxicating scent that was his very own, admixed with whiskey and sweat.

A gentle word escaped his lips, fond memories of a past life filled this name, a mention of something that was once innocent and a thing he could always go back to. “Csilla.” The very same planet where Argus mentioned showing the woman to a real party was. The planet where children are taught to grow, to be adults, to court the finer things in life such as politics and exploration of mind and space. And here he was doing such a thing, playing the games that he once knew and was very aware of. There was fear of course, of the unforeseeable future. Unable to tell if she sensed it, of course Palin had, she was Anzati and Darth. A very, very dangerous combination.

Argus let her talk, to pull him in, to close their gap and create more tension between the two as their dance became more intimate. A stiffness came into one step, uncomfortable with the new outcome, yet steeled and back into previous grace. There was a solid moment in his mind, the misstep of not the dance but in his words, where the Chiss knew that he was currently trapped in a situation he had little control over now. Sighing, this time opening up, it was time to face those fears and let them go. To speak of them, and maybe this woman would see what made Argus so bold. Whispering into her ear, lifting his eyes into the blur of motion around the room, envisioning the many possible moments of his or any Sith's death.

“On a mission to Thalassia, I collapsed an entire Republic base on itself. Large explosives to the supports underneath, and in the tunnels I fought a Krayt Dragon with another Sith. Exhausted at the end, I realized the other Sith was in the gullet of the beast we had just slew, yet instead of leaving them behind, I carved out the creature's stomach and helped them get off the planet.”

The story of itself, might have been outstanding to the normal bystander, maybe a Sith who hadn't done as much. Not like the person currently entangled in his arms, steadily holding his head and neck, feeling each heart beat as life pumped through his veins.

“I thought of the possibility that I could leave that other Sith to die, then I thought of how at any moment it could happen to me.”

Moving his head from Palin's grasp, he looked upon her with a solemn expression, sobriety settling quickly beyond the fog of spice and whiskey, eyes determined in the cause which he was sharing with her.

“I live to see the Jedi wiped from the galaxy, I refuse to allow any Sith to backstab another. I see that as weakness. If Sith weren't so busy killing each other, the Republic would be ash underneath our boots. Should I be, one day, holding the title of Darth, all would know where my focus lay. I want those powerful enough to make an entire room around us stare in awe to stand beside me, not holding a knife to my back.”

The endearing smile returned once more, just for Palin. yet strength in his confidence still dominant in his speech.

“Knowing my connection to the Dark Lord, can I trust you?”

Palin listened to his words, the dancing and music just becoming added flavors for the time being. She found him entertaining, and she found the fear intoxicating. The whiskey hadn’t given her a buzz like this, and she savored it as she pulled him close. His words made her grin even more, his story causing her to bite back an amused laugh, “Sith kill because the weak must be culled. There is no place for ineptitude within our ranks and only those fit for it make it to the top and stay there.”

She remembered his words about being a Darth, “Should you become a Darth, you will not worry about a knife in your back because you will have confidence. This confidence means that you can dare anyone to try anything against you. If they succeed, then they deserve your rank. If they fail, they have hell to pay. Such is the way of Sith, my dear,” She twirled again before returning to his arms.

“As for trusting me,” She laughed out loud at that, “You can trust me….to always have my own agenda above all,” The comment was followed by a wink, “Do you still want to associate with me knowing full well I might stab anyone in the back at any point?”

A sudden laugh escaped his lungs, as the music slowed to an end. It seemed it was time for the person running the music to take a break, as Argus stood there, a pensive stare came across his face. This was something to dwell on, as an old and diehard philosophy of the Sith was dug into his mind once again. The fear, that was gone, overtaken by the pure interest in intellectual thought and discovery of a new way of thinking. Eyes glazed with determination transferred into pure exhilaration as maybe it was time to return to the library and dive deeper into the teachings of the Sith, this time diverting from the Ziost Brotherhood ideals.

“You've given me much to contemplate, and to discover.”

Stepping away from the Darth, crossing right hand over heart and bowing his head to her in a formal sign of gratitude, Argus had straightened once again and smiled.

“I did promise to show you a real party, after all.” he said, taking his leave from the party to once again explore the mental and philosophical ideals of the Sith.

normally not one to be late to an event this was hardly her normal scene. the moff strolled down the hall without anything on her person save for her comlink sucked in a pocket covertly woven into her atire to not force her to carry a bag or purse. while she was of noble birth the Kira dynasty hardly ever took part in the political games the other houses used extensively. instead she was more of a woman of action though she figured it was appropriate to congratulate her peer on her success. the planet as well as this installation would be an important part of the sith brotherhood's agenda.

the morganian woman took a step into the room to see already a number of people present. each in their little circles, taking part in their discussions. Bishnu her companion, Geir, the new moff, Darth Daeva and also her apprentice who seemed to be on his way out. a few others were in the room but she did not recognize them. instead of moving to talk with anyone yet she walked towards the bar and immediatly ordered a bloodsour, a drink she had acquired a taste for thanks to some close proximity to a number of barabels for awhile. she wondered how Grik was doing and his conquest of his homeworld.
