Four Acolytes embark on their journey to acquaint themselves and to assist each other in attaining some light saber crystals.
Participants: Aubrey Fox, Rook Xeyphos, Yusanis Dar'sen, and Pol Von.

Rook plays with the hilt of his saber staff, training saber. He was genuinely interested in the events currently going on, but he didn't quite agree with how he'd ended up here. unfortunately, for some unknown reason, he was compelled to comply with any older Sith. Whoever this Sith was, had set up countless training sessions, spars, and even little adventures like this for Rook. Rook couldn't say he didn't enjoy thins like this, but he didn't like the fact that it wasn't his idea that placed him on this ship.

Whatever...

Rook didn't really care what he did today anyway, It's not like he had anything planned anyway. He seemed to resort to the same things day after day. The adventure would not only satisfy the deep down craving for entertainment he's been hoping for, and it gets him a crystal for his own light saber... If he can only get his training saber open, that is.

A few minutes of fumbling caused him to completely forget about the young girl sitting next to him. Aubrey. Rook didn't know whether or not she felt strongly, one way or another, regarding his presence here. It didn't feel like she had much of a choice judging the way Rook was told he had to attend her little excursion.

Rook's fingers slip off the edge of the hilt, causing him to jam it into something that hurt. With a sigh, Rook gave up the task and turned to Aubrey, "Crystals eh?"

Rook didn't really think this through before hand, and so his attempt to converse stopped there, allowing her to laugh at him or make an equally awkward attempt to talk to him in response.

Finally, it came to him, "Um. What kind of crystal are you after then?"

Rook, feeling satisfied that he'd managed to spit something comprehensible out, figured that his job was done in an attempt to converse. They weren't alone on the ship, and so Rook hoped that the others would be able to step in, and take over for him, while he returned to fumbling about his training saber.

They too figured they'd be able to tag along and grab a crystal as well. The girl was generous enough using credits that she'd inexplicably come across to rent this ship in the first place. To spend more credits on the cost of fuels it would take to hop from planet to planet, picking up crystals for each of these guys is something beyond Rook. He figures that she must be swimming in credits to be able to afford a freighter like this, let alone the additional expenses of travel. The fuels, the docking permits, food (or so Rook hoped).

Rook was an orphan, and so he had no right to any credits, that he knew of anyway. That being said, whatever allowances Rook attained were a gift that should be prized. Granted, Rook could care less whether someone else paid for him. He'd find a way to feed himself, and if he recalls, the ship they rented came stocked with some food already. If the trip was long enough, he'd just dip in. Hopefully it wasn't nearly as expensive as the minibars in hotels.

Only just then did Rook realize just how extensive the trip would be; just how much effort he'd have to put toward the benefit of others. It wasn't something Rook was used to, but it was something he was willing to do, if it meant getting out for a while.

"What do you mean I have to travel with others?" the young Sith child complained.

She was not at all happy that her discovery had somehow turned into a training mission. Aubrey Fox loved to read. She was a fanatic when it came to history and would divulge herself whatever text she could get her hands on. One such trip into the libraries and yielded a document stating possible locations for saber crystals. She immediately took them to one of the Sith masters. However, the master told her that she should front the mission and go after them herself.

"But I already have a saber!" she protested.

The Sith quickly reprimanded her for objecting him by using his Force choke on her. Once she caught her breath she apologized and begged forgiveness. The lord then told her he'd contact some of the other masters and have a party ready for them. He reminded her that there were several Acolytes just like her that were not as fortunate as she. Many years ago, she had taken someone's saber and killed him with it. He bullied her for years and eventually had enough. Ever since, she'd always used that saber. The thought never occured to her that she would one day need to build a saber of her own.

[floatright]http://i.imgur.com/l2S7xZH.jpg?1[/floatright]So, here she was today. With her parents' money she charted a ship and a crew and they were on their way. As per usual, she was wearing a dark red cloak to cover herself. Underneath she wore a red leather top that ended at her midriff and crossed along her sides with lace and string. Around her right forearm was a leather band of the same material that held her one-handed lightsaber. Her legs were covered in brown, skintight pants that were covered up by laced-up boots.

With her was Rook Xeyphos, a Shistavanan. She'd never met one of those before and was awfully curious how his clawed hands would fit a saber. She had also taken on her journey Yusanis Dar'sen. The two of them had gotten into quite a lot of trouble on Nar Shadaa not but a few months ago. It was....interesting to say the least. Part of her wasn't sure why he was coming with them, but she was glad to know they were in good hands.

Lastly, the final member of their group was Pol Vonn, a Kel Dorian. When he first arrived she was surprised and excited to meet him. She immedietly came right up to him and gave a bow while saying, "Koh-toh-yah," a native Kel Dor greeting. Aubrey Fox was a brilliant girl. She knew, and taught herself, over 30 different languages. Because she had taught herself, she would usually speak in a broken accent compared to those of the native tongue.

"Crystals eh?" came Rook's voice.

Aubrey looked to her left where the Shistavanan was sitting and fumbling with his saber. She would nod and respond, "Apparently so." She was not all that thrilled she was taking this journey with others.

He would then ask her, "Um. What kind of crystal are you after then?"

"A Rubat crystal. Or so I hope."

Rubat crystals, found on the planet Phemis, produced a lighter, more defined blade, which helped the wielder track its movements better and strike with greater success. They were similar to the crystal she already had in her saber, so she didn't want to change things up on herself.

Yusanis was once again asked to do a mission. He asked only the questions he felt were relevant, and then departed to the ship. Once there, he noticed Aubrey first and foremost. Part of him wanted to grin, while another part wanted to kick himself. After the trouble they got into, he was surprised he hadn't gotten in deep trouble... yet. Maybe they were waiting? Who knew.

He was fully armored, the repairs to his helmet were complete. At his belt were his two lightsabers, both ones that he had received after becoming competent enough to not slice himself in half. He wore his normal robes over his armor, hood up. There were four of them here this time, and that made him uneasy. Aubrey he could deal with, but two more? He felt a bit uncomfortable. He had med Pol before, in a class to deal with Sith spirits. Whether or not the Kel Dorian recognized him was another story.

Taking his seat, Yusanis sat across from the red headed Sith woman. He listened to their conversation but said nothing, not feeling the need to speak. Instead he was attempting to meditate, and find his center. When the question was asked about what crystal Aubrey was seeking, her response was not surprising. A Rubat crystal was a prize to any lightsaber duelist.

He himself was seeking a Lorrdian crystal, which was known to increase the user's defensive capabilities and give the wielder intuition to their opponents next strike, which was handy for blaster deflection. For his Soresu Form, this crystal was probably a more obvious choice for him. There were plenty of crystals he wanted to collect and use, but this one caught his interest more so than the others, and so that would be his target.

Yusanis looked to the Shistavanan, a species he was unfamiliar with, but said nothing. He might as well stay quiet for now, anyway. There was no need to him to speak.

In light of keeping interest in the thread, and not letting it die at the start- where most threads tend to die -I will continue the posting before we end up landing anywhere, and until all the characters meant for the thread are introduced. That being said, we can ICly decide where we are heading first.

Rubat. That sounded familiar. Rook never really took the initiative for reading everything he could on any subject he didn't care intensely for; And even then. But Rook seemed to remember something about the Rubat crystal, since it had in fact caught his eye as a potential contender for the honor of being placed in his new light saber. Although, Rook couldn't seem to place it other than that it was good if you wanted to move your light saber around a lot.

It sparked somehtin in Rook that really drew him into the conversation. There was nothing Rook liked more than talking about something he actually enjoyed. That would be light saber training and combat. Rook was currently looking into a multitude of light saber forms of combat, but he could only say a few things for each of them. What he knew best was Niman. And his thirst for knowledge in light saber styles was almost insatiable.

"Rubat crystal, huh. What form of light saber combat do you practice, erm... I'm sorry, it was Aubrey right?" Rook fumbled out the words in a surprisingly numbed mouth. He tends to think faster than his mouth can talk when he gets excited. He's surprised he doesn't end up skipping from one sentence, over the next, and right into the last sentence at times.

Rook forced himself to keep it slower, despite having so much to wonder about his comrades, "Do you know where to get a Rubat crystal? I haven't bothered to check for myself where a Rubat crystal comes from."

Rook swivels around to look at the other travelers. They were eerily quiet. Rook, having a smile partially formed on his face by the banter of light saber crystals decided to include them, "I personally have my eye on the Kasha Crystal. It helps me to focus, which I imagine will be decisively useful in controlling my blades in using Niman... And what crystals have you guys chosen, and how do you suppose it will aid your chosen light saber forms?"

Rook only just realized he was taking a lot of initiative to get his partners thinking about just why they chose what crystals they had. He even felt like he was about to teach them something by how he provoked their reasoning behind what crystals they choose. Unfortunately, Rook had nothing to teach unless they asked him something specifically about his crystal or about Niman as a form of light saber combat. Those were the only two things he really had any confidence in being able to answer anyway.

He still fumbled with his traning saber, but to no avail. Jeeze! It's a light saber, not a safe! Rook decided at that moment, that he wouldn't make it so complicated to get into his own light saber.

"Rubat crystal, huh. What form of light saber combat do you practice, erm... I'm sorry, it was Aubrey right?" Aubrey was about to respond to him when he continued on saying, "Do you know where to get a Rubat crystal? I haven't bothered to check for myself where a Rubat crystal comes from." Aubrey sat up and opened her mouth to speak but Rook continued on, "I personally have my eye on the Kasha Crystal. It helps me to focus, which I imagine will be decisively useful in controlling my blades in using Niman... And what crystals have you guys chosen, and how do you suppose it will aid your chosen light saber forms?"

Before he could interuupt again she would point out, "It comes from Phemis. If you checked the logs you'd find that's where we were going first. I find it a little hard to believe you'd get onto a ship without knowing the destination." She wasn't trying to be cruel or mean, but rather teasing in her tone. "And as of now I only know Shii-Cho and Makashi. I hope to eventually learn another, but for now that's what I have to work with." Aubrey would then sigh and look at her hands in her lap. "I've had to um...put my saber fighting on hold to focus more on my studies."

Yusanis kept his eyes averted. He was in close quarters with three of his peers, and while they spoke to each other- or two of them, anyway- he thought it would be best to stay quiet. When the question about what crystals they were searching for came up, he waited to speak, as he didn't want to be the first one. They should probably know what he was looking for, at least.

When the new one, Rook, told what he was seeking, Yusanis's interest was peaked. A Kasha crystal, and he used Niman. The Sith would keep that in his memory, for future reference. He supposed it was his time to speak, and so did so, his helmet altering his voice.

"I am searching for a Lorrdian crystal, which is to grant the user intuition during combat, in order to predict the opponent's next strike more accurately by better reading of their movements. It will increase my defense, and aid in Soresu. The crystal was developed by the Lorrdians, it's namesake, and will most likely be found among the populace. These crystals are created by Force-Sensitives, so purchasing one is the most obvious course. However... I do not know where one would be, exactly, so I assume the black market will be a good place to search."

The Sith went back to his little shell, unclipping his lightsaber to examine it carefully. It's been a while since he's done maintenance on it, and decided that he should do so. Lifting the weapon with the Force, he began to pour the majority of his focus into maintaining it's levitation and taking it apart carefully, surgically. His weapons were like his tough-loved children, after all.

In light of Srota's inability to post at this time, I will be moving this thread forward with the option for him to join in whenever he gets the chance. His training with his Master is taking more effort than he original thought.

Rook shrugged at her teasing response to his neglect to check the ships logs. To be perfectly honest though, Rook would have hopped onto a slaving ship, and not have even noticed. Rook just kinda went with the flow, and the flow was sending him to Phemis. He assumed that Phemis is where one may attain a Rubat crystal. His only question is where they were going to find a crystal that only a forceful was meant to have. Light saber crystals couldn't be easy to find.

Rook would leave the information on where to attain the crystals, and he'd do anything he could to help them actually retrieve them. If there was anything he figured he could do, it would be to attain a single crystal.

Unfortunately, the travel would likely kill him before he got anywhere. Rook's stomach contorted upon hearing that Aubrey had neglected her light saber training, which is ironic considering Rook's own meticulous studies in the subject and his neglect everywhere else.

"Well. Perhaps we can train together. I'm sure there are Force abilities you have a better understanding of than I do; And Maybe I can spar with you some time. However, it looks like we'll be preoccupied for the time being," Rook nods at the indication that they were nearing their destination shortly. Rook sinks himself into his seat with the strap over his shoulder, but instead of sitting silently as they entered the planet's atmosphere, he decides to continue talking, even over whatever turbulence may ask him not to talk; After all, there was at least one other person in the ship that was able to talk shop with him. Surprisingly enough, he was silent until this point, and that alone made Ark think that he was also very much attentive to his light saber combat training.

"A Lorridian crystal! I hear that is a very powerful crystal! That would be perfect for using Soresu," Rook shouted over the growing turbulence. "Maybe at that market, I'll find a crystal too?"

of 'course, it was merely wishful thinking in an attempt to avoid the actual work of looking for a crystal, but at least he could try. Unfortunately, the likelihood of finding a Kasha crystal at the same time they find a Lorridian Crystal was almost impossible.

Rook's fumbling with his light saber finally came through. The casing finally came loose, letting it fling across the cabin onto the floor where it was subjected to the violent rumbling of the ship, "Oooh!" Rook shouted in realization of how the training saber actually opened up. At least he'd found out how it opened at the expense of being unable to retrieve the casing until they actually landed. The ships rumbling would make it impossible to focus the Force enough to retrieve it via telekinesis; At least not with his minimal training anyway.

Instead, Rook would be perfectly content staring at the incredibly dull crystal embedded within the training saber, and trying to figure out exactly how the light saber was constructed. Hopefully, no turbulence would fling the unguarded hilt onto the floor as well. Wouldn't that be quite the mess to clean up?

"I agree with Yusanis," Aubrey said as she leaned back in her seat. "I predict finding the crystals will be an easy challenge. Buying one for a decent price is where we'll experience difficulty."

"Maybe at that market, I'll find a crystal too?"

She would then watch Yusanis as he decided to pull apart his saber, and for a moment she watched him in silence. It always fascinated her seeing how complex sabers really were. There was a point in her life where she could do the same with her own saber, but now it felt like the weapon at her hip was so foreign to her it was like it belonged to someone else altogether.

"Well. Perhaps we can train together. I'm sure there are Force abilities you have a better understanding of than I do; And Maybe I can spar with you some time. However, it looks like we'll be preoccupied for the time being,"

She would then turn to Rook and answer, "Yes I suppose that is possible. I need some work with my blade. Most of my studies revolved around language and history. I had a pretty strong foundation of the Force."

"Oooh!" Aubrey would hear from Rook. She looked and watched his training saber cap went flying. She gave him an annoyed look and used the Force to bring it over to her palm where she held it out to him.

"Can you not?"

As the parts levitated, he kept his concentration on them a tight, intense grip. When the part went flying, Yusanis opened one eye to watch it before returning total focus to the weapon. He spotted that the red crystal within was worn, cracked a bit. He wasn't surprised- these crystals had been general hand-me-downs.

He put the weapon back together and let it drop into his grip. Looking at his fellow Acolytes, he had to smile a bit under his mask. All were eager to prove themselves in this, like he, and all were strong by their own right. He respected that, and felt it, but this would be a true test of their combined training, he felt.

After all, hunting crystals and focusing them for use? Not an easy task for someone of their level.

Rook slapped the piece into his hand from hers as if she had cooties. Although, it was from the shame of not being able to concentrate on the piece of the light saber while the ship vibrated in such a manner. It was a true testament of his true knowledge and experience over the Force. In fact, now that Ark could think of it, he's had virtually no Force training at all since joining the Order. He'd focused almost every ounce of his focus into training his body and blade. No wonder he had such a hard time focusing on anything other than a light saber.

Slinking down into his seat until they fully landed, Ark remained more or less silent. At this point they must think him incapable of using the Force at all. However, it would be nothing to assume, because although Rook's telekinetic manipulations had much left to desire, he was a very capable user of Force Pushes and Pulls. After all, it was the only thing he even knew how to train in the first place. Rook attempted to fit the hilt back together, n=forgetting to give the crystal a good long look. Besides, he'd have time later now that he knows how to get into it. He'd certainly need to get into it later if he ever wanted to build his own light saber.

Finally, the ship settled with a clunk and a hiss as hydraulics set the bird onto a landing platform with minimal discomfort to the inhabitants. Unbuckling and leaping to his feet, Rook made certain he was the first one off the ramp with no expense spared for his enthusiasm. With a black cloak, he'd grabbed on his way out, already being thrown around his shoulders, he steps off the ship and takes a deep breath while he takes in the sights.

Landing on Phemis, was actually very disappointing for him. Rook wasn't outside the Temples much at all, and so seeing another world was something exotic for him. he supposed that over the years that moments like this would just bring a lot more... well more. Instead, there were just a bunch of Correlians running around in orange jump suits as they tended to the docked ship. Giving the world a good long stare, Rook hadn't the slightest idea where to start looking for such a crystal, let alone any crystal at all.

With a rather concerned look on his face, Rook turned around to expect his peers following him out, "Anyone have any ideas where to go?"

The planet was far from a normal place for Rook. He was used to temples, not cities. Instead of shuttles and speeders, there were hallways and elevators that Rook had grown accustomed to. Beginning to rub the fur on his neck, Rook anticipated an answer that would come off to him as the obvious choice. What was he thinking anyway? He was never a leader! In fact, he was the kind of Sith to sit back and let the others take the first steps onto a new world. After all, he was just here for the ride so far.

Rook tightens the cloak around him as to hide his light sabers from view. The last thing they needed was for the locals getting all freaked out by the sight of Sith. At least a cloak would hide their light sabers, training or real.

When they landed the ship Rook was the first one on his feet and out the door. Aubrey laughed a little inside as his enthusiasm; a part of him reminded her of a puppy and she just wanted to rub his head and talk 'baby talk' to it. She would, however, restrain herself and grabbed her dark red cloak from behind her seat. She threw it over her shoulders and then raised the hood over her long red hair.

She headed down the ramp and would stand over by Rook as he said, "Anyone have any ideas where to go?"

Aubrey looked out at the world around her and tried to get a feel for everything. They wouldn't find what they were looking for so far out from the crowds. Sure there were people everywhere, but this part was filled with tourists and such coming and going on their business. They needed to leave the port.

Another thing she had to remember, it was unlikely they'd end up excavating in caves, though that was always a possibility for a last resort. Like Yusanis' crystal, they may have to find the black market and purchase one. It wasn't her desired outcome since she would have much preferred to come across the artifact on her own.

"For now, we should head into the busier parts of town and see if anything catches our attention. One way or another, the Force will guide us to where we need to be." She would then turn back for a second and whistle at Yusanis for him to hurry up.

Aubrey would then start to walk away from the ship and toward the town. She hoped she wouldn't have to buy/rent a speeder because that meant more money they didn't need to spend and thus less money to spend on buying crystals. Even though she hated walking, it was nice being in the cities again. She and Yusanis took an eventual trip on Nar Shaddaa where they got into trouble again and again with this biker gang; she hoped to avoid another disaster like that.

Yusanis tightened his own robes around his body over his armor, to hide his weapons. He honestly had no idea where they should begin, but it seemed the little rich girl was taking the lead of their merry band of Acolytes. Phemis... not a planet he was familar with, he would admit, but at least he hoped things would be less chaotic than his last trip with Aubrey.

Hopefully no one shot at them.

The Zabrak heard her whistle, snapping him out of his trance as he surveyed their surroundings. A spaceport was something he knew, at least, so they shouldn't run into too much trouble. For some reason, he felt like they were all going to get into trouble one way or another- or maybe it was just him. Honestly, it seemed like lately everything just wanted to kill each other.

"I'll follow you, sweetheart." Yusanis sighed, picking up the pace to catch up. He wasn't going to be left behind!

By the time both of them got out behind Rook, he was completely perplexed by where the heck they were. In fact, he wasn't entirely certain how he'd go about leaving the place; What were the procedures? He supposed that it wasn't his ship, and he wasn't renting it, so it would be up to Aubrey to know those things. Rook was just happy to be outside in a public place. And although he was covered head to toe in a cloak, it was freedom to the extent he wanted. He's felt like a circus freak locked away in a distant training facility or a Sith temple his entire life, and now that he was finally in the right places, he was happy to finally be around others.

After Yusanis joined them, and after hearing Aubrey say that the Force would guide them to the busier parts of town, Rook shrugged as his instincts... or the Force... pulled his gaze into the direction of something that looked like a viable transport. Hopefully, it didn't cost anything, because Rook didn't have any credits to spend. In fact, he didn't even know how he was going to attain his crystal if he did indeed have to attain it via purchase. He assumed that the Force, like it pointed him in the direction of the shuttle ahead, would find him a way to attain his crystal without the means of purchasing it.

"I don't know guys, but I'm feeling that this would be the best way into the busier side of town," Rook said while pointing at the shuttle. Of 'course, he didn't quite know what to call it, but he assumed that they knew how to work (the shuttle) so that they could get them into town. And without waiting for an answer, Rook began walking towards where a small group of humans and aliens alike were funneling into the train-like shuttle. It wasn't going to be an easy fit, but it didn't look like any of them were reaching deep into their pockets for credits, so Rook assumed it wouldn't require them.

On the outside of the shuttle, Rook neglected to notice that the shuttle had a hologram of its destination, labelled, South-Central Plaza.

Aubrey looked to where Rook was pointing and decided perhaps that was best. Shuttle or not, it would get them where they needed to be. Plus, he had
fortunately found a free ride so all the better. Aubrey noticed the destination on the hologram, but it meant little to her because she too was not familiar with these places.

"Then that's where we'll go," she would say as she made her way over.

When she got over to the shuttle she ignored the line altogether and would walk right up to the doors. Someone would start to say something to her when she turned and hissed at him. He frightfully backed off and let her and her
accomplices board before them. Aubrey would then move to the far end of the shuttle and take a seat near one of the empty ones. There was an empty chair right next to her, but someone would either have to stand or sit on the other side.

Rook was eager to get onto the shuttle, and he did so with haste. He'd never been in a public place like this, and as he got onto the shuttle, eh quickly realized that he'd have to be right next to multiple other aliens. It was extraordinarily uncomfortable, and Rook was quite unsure of how to approach the relatively common routine of picking a seat. Rubbing his neck, he actually managed to find a pair of seats open that he quickly requisitioned for himself and Aubrey. At least his fellow Sith was someone that he could trust to a certain degree, and he was already sitting next to her the entire ship ride here. He could deal with her much better thant he ragged bum in the next row.

Rook was particularly on guard here. He was certainly the type to just go with the flow and hop onto the shuttle, but even then, he wasn't about to let someone stab him in the back as he'd see in the temples. However, this place seemed to have an extremely different feel than the temples gave, and Rook felt like there was no one here that would be willing to do that; At least not for power or prestige, let alone to a stranger.

"This is all too weird for me," rook whispers to the other Acolyte, as he sits down in his seat.

And it was indeed. How close people got to each other, and yet there was no trust between any of them, was something taboo for Rook. He was used to the temples, and other traiing-like situations in which every encounter had a very specific purpose, where he was expected the utmost respect and dedication to a task. And yet here, everything seemed aimless, rushed, and lacking every ounce of respect. Several times now, a civilian had bumped into him, and it was completely unheard of in the temples, where most individuals never even touched unless it was one's hand over another's throat.

"I hope you know how to navigate a city, because I haven't the slightest clue where to start to look for a crystal," Ark said, trailing off as he observed a pair of humans with their tongues half way down each other's throats, "There had to be an easier way to choke someone than that."

AUbrey entered into the shuttle and moved right through the people without giving any of them a second glance. She knew she caught a few looks from others, who wouldn't stare at someone in a blood red cloak? She sat down next to the massive wolfman and would cross her legs over one another. She could sense the anxiety coming off of him so she would turn and give him a look and say, "Will you relax please?" She wasn't asking, she was demanding. "You're giving off some really annoying vibes and I'd rather not have to leave you behind."

"This is all too weird for me,"

"Even still," she'd say with some authority.

"I hope you know how to navigate a city, because I haven't the slightest clue where to start to look for a crystal," Aubrey was about to respond when he cut her off and pointed at the couple who was kissing. "There had to be an easier way to choke someone than that."

"I-don't think that's what they're doing." She'd sigh with a shake of her head. Was he being funny or did he really not know? She tried to imagine wolves kissing, and her mind went to a furrier and kinky image. She shook the picture out of her head and continued. "Anyways! No. I don't know where we're going but I trust we'll figure it out. It can't be too difficult to find what we need."

Rook shrugged visibly in response to Aubrey's attempt to get him to stop giving off 'annoying vibes', whatever that meant. Regardless, Rook was content simply sitting the trip into the inner city silently. His eyes would flutter form building to building as they passed the by at a rather astonishing rate. How could anyone ejoy what they were seeing when it was passing them by so quickly? It was an odd thing about this world, everyone seemed to be in such a hurry, and all that Rook seemed to have was time.

As they shuttle came to a stop, there seemed to be a nearly overwhelming quantity of people running around seemingly aimlessly. And yet it was reminiscent of the Temples, where every student had someplace to go, and they weaved in and out of each other like this. But that was on a busy day at the temples. This felt like it extended farther than the mere halls of the temples could, and Rook was quick to forget that he was tailed by Aubrey. But he was simply going with the flow. And as Rook moved along with the sardine-packed streets, Rook looked around to see what the various aliens had on their faces, but it was all the same wherever he looked. Focus. They were almost all hypnotized by this mystical urge to get wherever they were going regardless of the consequences upon others' need to get where they were going.

Rook shook his head in disbelief before turning around to expect Aubrey right on his tail, but he'd forgotten how packed it was and how the many bodies seemed to shift aimlessly as if pieces to a puzzle that didn't seem to all fit together. Had he gotten himself lost? Hopefully Aubrey was better at keeping track of him than he was of himself. At least she wouldn't have to be ashamed to be seen with him, and if she didn't show up behind him, he knew where to find the ship... Probably. But just in case, Rook made a mental message that he sent out to Aubrey, "You There?"

Aubrey could tell that his annoyance turned more into excitement as Rook stared out the windows. She too would stare, but hers was more in observance. She didn't care if the place was barren and there was nothing to see. Right now Aubrey was stuck in her head and was enjoying the white noise of the shuttle around her.

As the shuttle finally stopped and everyone disembarked, the excited Acolyte took off into the crowd leaving the much smaller Aubrey to fend for herself. "Hey-" bump. Push. Shove. "-Wait!" But he was gone. Aubrey growled and tried to squeeze her way around people. Everyone seemed to have some place to go and somewhere to be. At least when Rook walked, people got out of his way. He was like a freaking monster, and who would want to stand between him and his claws. Aubrey however, who was hidden behind her cloak, was practically invisible.

"You There?"

Aubrey would hear the Acolyte's voice in her head which caused her to stop walking. She'd heard of people using the Force to communicate, but she had no idea the young apprentice was capable of performing this feat so early. "I seem to have gotten lost," she would say in response. Aubrey tried to jump, not using any aid, but saw nothing that helped her. Sure Rook probably towered over the crowd, but she had moved too far from him. She could tell he was close, just not within sight. "You'll have to come find me. No. Why don't we split up. There's no reason to stick together in this crowded city."

Rook hadn't a clue as to what was going on as it is, and as a result, he was kind of thankful he didn't have to try to back track and find the human female; However, it would have been nice to have some direction... Which he was relying on her for. Fortunately, Rook was happy to 'go with the flow', and so he simply continued on with the crowds, keeping his wolfish face hidden as he went with the bustle. He wasn't particularly tall, only being 5'10", but it was easy for him to move forward, where everyone else seemed to be pushing in that direction. Rook simply didn't resist. After all if they were all heading in that particular direction, there must have been a reason, and as Ark found himself at the foot of a staircase, he was able to look down as to why everyone was heading in that direction.

A great marketplace, some sort of park filled to the brim with venders. Roller coasters, though Rook wouldn't have the slightest clue what they were, attractions, tents, and all other things anyone could imagine. It was simply more that Rook could comprehend. At the entrance of the giant fair, a great neon sign read, 'Vender's Market; Buy and Sell anything!'.

Rook Supposed that if there was any place they'd find a lightsaber crystal or two, it would be there! The only trick was to find out exactly where to look, who to look for, and what the heck a vender was...

"I... think I'm going to a venders' market," Rook spoke into the Force, hoping that Aubrey was close enough to pick up the message.

"I... think I'm going to a venders' market."

Aubrey made a satisfied hum to his response and would respond back telepathically, "Very good. Keep heading that direction. If you find what we're looking for call me. I'm going to stay on the outside."

Figuring she'd end up in the same place as he, she tried to get out of the traffic and the potential flow of the crowd. With some effort she escaped the clutter and would end up heading towards the darker parts of town. It wasn't a significant change, the real shady areas would not be anywhere near the market place. She'd have to hop on another shuttle to get there. For now she started with some back allies and crowded tenant style homes.
