You land your his fighter in a sketchy hangar, slipping its owner some money for him to keep quiet. People here were so easily manipulated, swayed by money as easily as...you trail off as you survey your surroundings. Blaster fire in the distance, screams from another direction, shady figures standing around looking for anyone who might be swayed to get rid of their money just as quickly...

Nar Shaddaa. You hate this place; it's not full of any passion, rage, anger; only greed and sadness. Nevertheless, it would serve its purpose in the coming order for eternity. With that in mind, however, you focus on what you're doing here. A...new contact for the Order had given a tip to you in return for keeping his head, a tip on how to find a holocron detailing the necessities for Sith Alchemy.

Such a power would be a first step on your way to becoming a Sith Lord, to actually making a difference within this fallen world. Nevertheless, that was a long way off; to begin with, you have no idea where exactly the holocron is. Apparently, a wealthy business owner could provide this information with some...persuasion. First thing first, you have to get to the rendezvous point...

You don't really like working with others, you never even say anything anyways...but this wouldn't be easy--to find or to learn. You'd need plenty of assistance in this matter at least; furthermore, you would be furthering knowledge not just for yourself but for the better of the Sith Order. You'd send the holocron to the Eternal after learning its secrets, assuming this wasn't a rabbit trail.

Well, to be honest, Jerex didn't wake up to such a pleasant surprise in quite a long time, a sith artifact, in Nar Shaddaa of all places, it was plausible that some rich Hutt would buy a sith artifact just because he could, but still, on the planet where Jerex spends most of his time on doing research? This was the force's will, he was certain. Of course, he had to thank the...strange sith (didn't really know his name, didn't even seem like it was his place to ask from how the man acted) for bringing him along, while it probably was because he was the closest sith around and not out of the goodness of his heart, Jerex was thankful regardless.

So, wearing his robe and mask of Ren, his lightsaber hidden behind his clothing and using his usual alias, Tyrus Ren, for the sake of
anonymity, Jerex stood out from the already diverse crowd of Nar Shaddaa, but he didn't really care much, taking into account who he was working alongside with, who didn't look very normal either, and only people with deathwishes really bothered others because of their looks, from experience, the ones that dressed themselves in such a weird manner were usually the most lethal. "Lets see if your lead was correct my friend, I certainly hope so..." Jerex said, breaking the awkward silence with the deep unnatural voice modified by the modulator in his mask "Such knowledge is always valuable and shouldn't be in hands of those outside the order"

You look the man up and down slowly, eyeing his mask, scrutinizing his voice. You're glad you didn't get another babbling psychopath who only wanted to pull some lightsabers and sever some heads...as you could've possibly been described as during another point in your life. People like that were so...difficult to work with, and you hope the two of you can accomplish something.

You shrug and nod at the man's comments, just so he knew you understood; no words would ever pass from your mouth again unless commanded by the Eternal himself. Speech was something that needed to be mastered, that required discipline; being able to keep your tongue under control is nearly as powerful a tool as any force power one could procure.

You turn away and beginning stalking through the crowded streets towards where the informant's home should be, motioning for Tyrus to follow. With some time, you finally reach the extravagant set of tall buildings, the housing of one who had plenty...surely he wouldn't mind parting with some of it.

You knock on the metal door--with connections to items such as Sith holocrons, this man should have no problem with shady characters showing up on his doorstep. Ironically, no one is there to meet you; the door slides open and the apparent hardest part of this event is over.

You step in and follow a droid down a hall colored a bit too brightly for your eyes before sashaying into an extraordinarily large and decorated room. You tense, barely knowing what to do next; you had expected needing to force your way in. A door opposite the one you just entered slides open and...

...In walks a female Twi'lek, her rich clothing signaling that she is the one retaining ownership of this fine establishment. Have you come to the wrong place?
"Gentleman!" She exclaims in Basic, "May I help you?" You squint your eyes, barely shake your head, and nod at Jerex; it's his turn.

Jerex followed his fellow sith inside the building and into the decorated room, calm but alert in case it was a trap, taking note of the lack of people inside save for the woman that just entered the decorated room. Nothing out of the extraordinary had happened yet, the establishment looked pretty normal, at least by Nar Shaddaa standards, which meant it was probably a place of contraband, a brothel or a spice dealing joint, maybe all of them, but Jerex didn't judge, he did immoral things in his private building as well.

So, as expected, his friend asked him without words to be the negotiator, Jerex was not really surprised, seeing how it was perfectly plausible that he might as well have asked Jerex for help just to talk in his place, the old Sith stepped forward and looked at the Twi'lek, who was most likely the owner of the place, making sure his posture was not threatening, even if the clothing was "Greetings, we've come here because we have been told you might have information against a certain item that is of interest to us" Jerex explained, straight to the point and truthful, no need to kill everyone they talked with unlike other sith "My name is Shin Lekdorr, my silent friend here is Sou Dol, it's nice to meet you" Of course, speaking truthfully about their intentions didn't mean he had to be truthful about their names, the less people could trace them, the better, even if this was really using a fake name to hide yet another fake name, one can't never be too careful.

You wish you could express your gratitude as the man immediately understands your position and starts talking, but you are a bit shocked at his straightforwardness; nevertheless, bold moves like that immediately put people at ease, let them know what you were after, that you weren't there to plunge a blade into their heart.

And as if on que, the woman smiles and nods her head.
"Of course! I've got information on all kinds of things; trade routes, bounty hunter jobs, etc. Just name what you need, I'll see what I can do." She was cooperating for the moment, but once she knew the priceless artifact they were after, she'd either have two responses.

First off, she could refuse to part with the holocron, or else fear the wrath of whomever had it in their possession (assuming it was not her). On the contrary, she could immediately understand her position and desire the Sith Order to simply leave her alone, divulging the information as quickly as she can...hopefully the latter would occur regardless if it came to throats gasping for breath.

You're not sure how she'll take their request, or how your partner will convey the information. You glance sideways at Tyrus, anticipating his next words, ready for anything...

Just like the old marauder predicted, the Twi'lek woman seemed to respond nicely to what Jerex just told her and didn't even care about trivial things such as appearance, apparently she sold information, a powerful thing to trade, it of course meant that they were probably on the right path, now he just had to get her to talk for a reasonable price, something that Jerex thought he was more than able to pull off.

"What we are looking for a small polyhedron object, be it a cube, a pyramid or similar, and made of some kind of crystalline material, small enough to be held on one palm and probably glowing red, perhaps blue or other colors" Jerex described the holocron, yet didn't say what it really was, hoping that the Twi'lek wouldn't know the true importance of the information they needed from her, it was better to tell her what it looked like but not say what it was, she could know what an holocron was, but that didn't mean she ever come across one before "We were told you had information about such an item"

You node reassuringly as Jerex describes your target, peering eerily at the woman's face. She maintains a smile, her posture does not change in the least--but her eyes...Her eyes darken immediately as it dawns upon her what they are truly facing. Her hands slipped behind her back, undoubtedly to somehow alert others of their presence, and she continued talking.

"I do have information on such a device, but to tell you gentleman would be, to put it quite plainly, suicide." Her voice faltered and her forehead wrinkled up in exasperation; a splitting pain filled her mind and kept her upright. She brought both hands up to her face in agony, revealing the small button she had been carrying.

Both arms simultaneously twisted behind her back once again, though in a much more painful way. A crack would've ensured, followed by a useless pair of appendages, if she had decided to end the conversation without speaking...but of course she spoke.
"The Hutt crime lord, Arok, keeps it in his 'throne room'; I have no clue to its location other than--" She was interrupted as you launched into her brain, but she seemed to be telling the truth.

For now, you'd have other problems, so you shove the woman to the side as you begin to here footsteps. She would remember nothing unless she was a fool; best not to have a scandal going around. With that realization, you calmly walk towards the door where they will be entering and wait behind a lip in the wall, nodding for Jerex to do the same, or whatever he may think is best.
