Jerex was born in Batuu, a small backwater planet located in the Outer Rim. Most of his life was quite normal, he grew up with his parents in a small city, where he grew up, made friends and had a happy, yet simple life. After finishing normal education, Jerex studied to become a doctor, healing people and help them was a noble job which he really admired and so, after a few years, he managed to become a doctor. A couple years later, he would fall in love with a woman, who he would start dating and then marry. Their first child would be born when Jerex was 36 years old. He was happy with his life, he had a family he loved and a fulfilling job, and they moved to a small village to live their lifes in harmony.
However, one day, a strange man in dark robes required his aid, the man talked in a cryptic way and even brought up the fact that Jerex had a hidden talent in him, untapped power he said, he asked him to join him, that he would help him discover the truth of the galaxy, the meaning of his life, Jerex, of course, didn't accept, he simply patched him up and told him to go away, not only was he more than happy with his current life, he was also scared of the man, he gave him a very uneasy feeling, the man went away, telling him that he would understand soon. A month later, the doctor was knocked out in his own house and without his family even hearing anything.
Jerex would wake up in a ship he had never been in before, the same man that he healed before stood in front of him, the terrifying figure would start talking to Jerex, telling him once again about the hidden potential he had within him, he talked about how he was force sensitive, how he could become much more and revealed himself as a member of the eternal legions, explaining their objectives. Jerex already knew about the strange powers he had, but didn't want to tap into them because it would disrupt his daily life. But Alas, force users seemed to always attract other force users, which led to his current situation. Jerex was a kind man, a man of healing, one that wouldn't hurt a fly, so, when he was asked to become the man's pupil, he obviously refused "I will never become as twisted as you!" He said, unfortunately, he was wrong.
Months of torture followed that day, the pain slowly driving him mad, his last thoughts being about his wife and children before giving up completely, Jerex finally gave in and accepted, his mind now filled with madness. During a couple months he received basic training in the force, but his master decided to have him prove he was fully committed before his real training begun, he had to forget his past before stepping into the future.
His master brought to him the two people that were once the most important thing in the world to him, his wife and child, hurt and mistreated, who started to talk to him, tears on their eyes as they realized what Jerex had been put through, his son talked about how much he had missed him, his wife asking him to please remember them. His master gave him a lightsaber that would be forever his, he only had to christen it in the lifes of his loved ones, which, of course, he did, with a big, crazy smile on his face, yet tears on his eyes at the same time, a mess of emotions inside of him, his broken mind experiencing elation, joy and bloodlust, but the small, still sane part of him hidden somewhere in his psyche feeling great amounts of grief, sadness, self-loathing and hate.
Many years would pass that day, his master would eventually be struck down by Jerex, who thought he didn't need him anymore, after that, he was free to spread the influence of the dark side further, looking much older than he actually was because he allowed the corruption of the dark side to fully take him, such passion and zealotry he had for it, it was the only thing that mattered for him now, doing dark deeds to spread the corruption, spread the word of his religion, let everyone fully embrace the darkness that the human mind had within.

Jerex has many sides to him, generally, his manners are like the ones of a jolly old man that enjoys talking, sharing bits of his life and helping the younger ones grow and become better versions of themselves, this side, of course, is the one he shows to people that are on his side. However, he thinks of the force, of the dark side, as a religion, not as a tool, he prays, he does rites, he chants and all to appease the dark side of the force, he does horrible things not for himself, but to spread the dark side, the true state of the force.
However, while friendly outside of battle, in the middle of the battle, when he calls upon the dark side, he is almost a completely different person, whatever is left of sanity in him seems to dissappear, no mercy is found by his enemies, just a crazy cackle as he enjoys the pain and suffering that he inflicts, the loss of life, the anger, the wrath and the despair of both his enemies, and his allies.
Those that are Jerex's friends have to be careful as well, it is very unlikely that the old man would betray someone for his own gains, but he would kill anyone if they suddenly started to go against the wishes of the dark side, of the Sith Eternal, without remorse, be it by choice, or be it because they were too weak.
His hobbies haven't exactly dissappeared, but they have been greatly altered just like himself. Once he loved reading about the history of the galaxy, now he enjoys studying the story of the force, the conflict of the two sides of it, and, of course, about ancient rites and artifacts of the sith and other twisted factions. He still enjoys healing people, and he is still quite good at it. However, while the people he wants alive will be cured, the ones he doesn't will be subject of either experimentation or surgery so Jerex has some extra credits to spend after selling their organs to the black market, molding and altering flesh is something he strives towards to, trying to learn and discover ancient rites to use, rediscover sith alchemy once more.
