Hey, @Toasty, I feel like you're overstating the damage done to Szebat just a bit. Dragon Mk I Armor is designed to defend against explosives and fire. There's still damage, I'm not disputing that, his leg's just aren't completely wrecked, though.

I think Toasty is referring to the 5 shots from his blaster pistol that were fired at Szebat legs. It does not look like the pistol shots were not deflected or dodged.

Soooooooooooooooo,

I was waiting on the Toaster to post something in the OOC because it was his post that was primarily being defended against. I didn't know he was near death and I know the thread was reported but I figured I would still toss this out there. Primarily I see two issues.
  • The timing of everything. The total action time I think is how long it would take Kenny to move in to strike. I think you're packing a lot of action into that time frame.
  • The way Kenny's attack is address. I would consider the "catching a glint of golden saber" to be using OOC knowledge for IC advantage. I think there are circumstance where something like that is acceptable (dodging an opening post maybe) but this is not one of those circumstance. I recognize I did something similar in a thread where EHSH was captured. I knew it was game over in that thread and I approached Phoe and cleared it with him so EHSH would not have her spine bisected. Phoe graciously agreed. As far as I know that hasn't happened here.
I think my two point mostly cover why Toasty reported. Love you all.

I have noticed with increasing frequency that writers are simply going directly to reports rather than discussing the issue beforehand. That is not really how things work. Reports are a means of solving an issue after the participants have discussed it and cannot reach a conclusion. If you need a time extension, that's fine, report and ask for an extension.

As such I am rejecting this report until such a time as the participants have actually discussed this thread and potential edits to be made.

How would that be metagaming? Szebat didn't forget he was there, he saw other targets, that's kinda part of his character. Ken shot at him afterall, he wouldn't forget that so easily. He moved onto distant targets. He didn't know where exactly Ken had went, I admit that, but he certainly saw him jump to his right, to take cover. That's why Szebat moved up and left to find cover. That would mean Ken would need to cover more ground, one, and he'd have left, across Szebat's periphery, as he dealt with the missile. He didn't turn a full 90 degrees, but he did have to lead a Force Push into a rocket. I think it's reasonable, but if @Toasty wants to discuss with me how we can get past this, I'm more than willing to hear his complaints. I do value your opinion, though. <3

We also have this smallish problem. We entered the thread on March 10, which puts us at 4 weeks which we all know is the time limit. I don't know if we start the week counter from
when we entered the thread or when we engaged in PVP. Either way we are pretty up against it.

Edits:

I also think there is a marked difference between what a character would have done and what a character actually did. For example:

  • Szebat likely would have addressed the pistol shots but it wasn't written he did.
  • EHSH likely would have noted Corvo's location (she certainly knew he was there) but I failed to note his location in my post.
  • Szebat of course knows Kenny is there, but there is nothing to indicate to me he is paying careful attention to his location. To perform the written action he would need to be specifically noting where Kenny is at. I don't think that is written, at least not in my reading. Couple that with the rocket Force push and the shots fired at Valen and that leads me to believe his attention is focused elsewhere until he catches the "glint."
That's all I will say on that, and let Toasty chime in if he has anything to add.
