Thin mist covered the forest under the night sky. As insects chipped all around Tapli laid on his stomach within a set of thick bushes. In front of him was a ruined Imperial outpost. Gripping the spear and heart pounding he waited.
The skull warriors are gone but their abominable shrines still linger on our homeland like scars on skin. Now it is being used by pretenders who revere them.
Tapli scowled in the darkness. Endor was home, a sacred soil to his people and Zand’s band of outlaws violated it by their very presence. Such arrogant trespassers deserve death. Quietly a human hand reached out on the left side, before tapping the young Ewok on the shoulder.
“Stay focused kid. Save your anger for the fight.” Seda Redwall whispered next to him. Begrudgingly Tapli nodded while the ranger resumed her observation of the hideout.
The old imperial structure itself was built into a hill with a now moss covered platform next to it. There was a ship already docked, making it clear someone was present. Moments later Zafrina the Wisite Queen swooped down from the treelines toward the rangers and their Ewok scout.
Buzzing the little monarch circled around speaking her native tongue. Tapli immediately translated via whisper. “The queen says her warriors are in position and awaiting her command. Also she demands to know when we attack.”
“First we need to figure out how to get inside and what we’re up against exactly.”
Ranger Redwall said before adding as she continued to examine the bunker. “The doors are shut tight and no one is out patrolling. Heh I guess they don’t want to be caught out here at night.” Subsequently she and Tapli turned to the second ranger Roland and asked. “Any intel on the terrorist cell that Zand works with?“

Theme Tapli Madreck sat on top of a fallen log covered with moss, looking out at the lake before him. Scattered mist hung over the water and surrounded the nearby fishing outpost. A swarm of bugs flew slightly above the edge of the lake but in the blink of an eye a fish jumped out of the water...
