It was clear that Jaikus was deep within his own thoughts - citrine eyes focused out of the transparisteel window of the shuttle. He stood with both hands folded against the small of his back, watching as the ship carved a path through the fluffy clouds and approached the ground. He took a moment to scan across the open horizon, taking in the sights of the world for the first time.
New Mandalore.
It was the first time that Jaikus had laid eyes on the Outer Rim planet, and the Axxilan had a clear purpose for being here, joining Ashla in making the journey out. An alliance had been struck with the recent Mandalorians, and the Togruta Acolyte had been given the dirty work of covertly eliminating the elected leader of New Mandalore - clearing the way for Fenyang to take the planet under his leadership. It would be their job to see it done.
Of course, the pair of Sith had their own reasons for being on the planet - known only to them and that went far beyond the assignment given by the Mand’alor. While the alliance between their two factions was convenient today, no one was foolish enough to believe that it would last.
Jaikus had no doubt that the Mandalorians, once they were strong enough, would turn their conquests against the Sith. It was for precisely that reason it was important to maintain some leverage over them - something to keep them in check, should they ever feel the inclination to step out of line. It was precisely the type of covert, intelligence work that Jaikus specialized in.
New Mandalore was the birthplace of their newly elected leader, and remained the place where the man’s family resided. If they could be located and placed under surveillance, they could be exploited against the man later down the line.
On both fronts, The nature of their mission was secretive, and it meant that Jaikus had abandoned his usual Sith armor for civilian clothes - meant to blend in with the general populace. He wore a

On both fronts, The nature of their mission was secretive, and it meant that Jaikus had abandoned his usual Sith armor for civilian clothes - meant to blend in with the general populace. He wore a
pair of tight-fitting jeans and a white t-shirt, a black jacket pulled over the top. His outfit was accessorized with a simple chrono on his wrist, while his lightsaber was tucked within a hidden compartment on the inside of his jacket lined with scatterweave, in order to avoid detection from any rudimentary scanners.
He watched as their shuttle gradually began to work its way into the busy spaceport of New Mandalore’s capital - touching down with a faint thud. While the vessel had been provided by Imperial Intelligence, the liscensing and codes provided had been expertly forged - clearing them for entry and hopefully avoiding any unnecessary attention.
Jaikus finally broke his eyes away from the window, turning back to face Ashla. He reached down, grabbing his bag of supplies before glancing up to the Togruta. “Ready?”
