Guerilla Group was now recognized as the dominant force ruling Korda Six. The unit was led by none other than Ka'ra'yc Vhett who now commanded the kordan military after killing the previous warlord of their homeworld. With the might of the planet rallied under one banner rather than waring against one another Ka'ra'yc led Guerilla Group out of their safe space to conquer another world.

It was not for kordans alone that Guerilla Group had come to Murkhana. The military fighting force was hired by the Hutt families to take the world and would be rewarded handsomely for it. The once beautiful world had long ago been decimated into a polluted wasteland. The reports of Murkhana City told it was rife with crime and even the imperial presence on the planet remained behind their "safe" walls of their ambassador's compound.

The lone kom'rk multirole starfighter was easy to ignore and not an uncommon site especially for a place frequented by underworld elements. Inside the vessel there were four crew members at the various stations. Aside from the crew of the transport there were four Kordans. The weight limits of the ship and their large size made carrying any more a bit dangerous. The small ship had orders to return to the group's CEC-2011 bulk freighter, the Barrel, and gather a new compliment of primate predators and shuttle them to the surface as reinforcements. For now they were restricted to sending batches of four lest they bring the entire bulk freighter into the planet's choked atmosphere.

The ambassador's compound drew closer as did the starport. The rapid deployment doors opened on the underside of the kom'rk starfighter to reveal the ground passing rapidly beneath them. Ka'ra'yc dropped out of it, his large jetpack roaring to life and carrying the huge armored gorilla down to the surface. As his form hurtled towards the ground at a controlled descent he fired his magthumper grenade launcher at the gate, blowing it open and allowing ground forces to potentially breach the interior or allow cowards to flee. Before the smoke and rubble had begun to clear the kordan warmaster had a new grenade already loaded.

The invasion of Murkhana had begun. The four kordans began to engage the rest of the imperial forces taken by surprise. Now the compound was open to the rest of the populace and open to the daring opportunist. Ka'ra'yc flew towards the tallest of buildings in the compound, intent on finding the planet's ambassador. This would be an example to the rest of the local underworld elements who the new masters of Murkhana were, provided they survived this conquest.

For honor. The Kordan warrior claimed as he grazed his brows with white warpaint. For courage. Left cheek. For kin. Right cheek. For clan. Down the bridge of his nose.

Then came the helmet over the head as the ship opened. My battle begins. And so Vatar of Clan Vhett leapt out with conquest in his fists.

His warlord stormed the gate with a grenade as the group flew. Vatar’s jetpack blazed away and his launcher threw another grenade after the first. Only this one found flesh and bone and more as it soar toward a defensive position.

The Imperial forces might believe they were safe behind their ambassador’s wall but it was not tall enough to save them. The explosion took out a number and whatever turret might have been in that nest, e-web or whatever.

Their annihilator hovered above, in Mandalorian armor, black iron bound, and found ground.

Grenade launcher slung over shoulder, the Kordan loomed over his opponents, some dark tower, here to deliver death and destruction, but he was not motionless.

His equipment— glaive and knife, pistol and rifle—would spill the blood and crush the skull. He needed no tank. Just his two hands.

Une followed the call of his warlord. Ka had ordered Gorilla Group to Murkhana due to a contract to take the planet. Une was in his standard armor and carried his Thermic great axe. On his back his blaster rifle was slung in case he needed it.

As the drop doors open Une's jetpack ignited he followed Ka as he blew through the gate. The imperial guardsmen would see a glowing axe blade slice through the smoke as he came charging through. He roared as he felt the resistance of making contact. His mission to slaughter.

The beginning of the claiming of a second planet was filled with screams of terror and explosions. Une relished in the heat of battle it was his calling. He would claim these walls for his people.

The attack hadn't exactly been subtle. Alarms started blaring and Vena instinctively grabbed her lightsaber as she turned towards the panic-struck ambassador. "Relax, Ambassador," she smiled in her usual air of overconfidence. "Not even Darth Raze can attack and survive the Empire," the Imperial knight referenced the recent death of the Sith lord.

Even though the Lord Commander had died in that same fight and the Grand Marshal quickly retired when the broadcasts of an impending war with the cartels passed the Imperial censureship, Vena was confident that the Force could easily defeat whatever lowlife criminal tried to get passed her. After all, hadn't an untrained Jedi defeated the supposed great and powerful Jabba?

It didn't take long for one of the local Imperial Security Bureau's agents came in for a hasty briefing; "A group of Kordans has attacked the planet. Bringing in small, but heavily armored combatants. Their primary target appears to be your excellence," the agent paused upon seeing the surprise on the Ambassador's face and the apparent nonchalance of the Imperial Knight who worked as personal security didn't exactly encourage confidence. "The bureau at this point advises evacu-" he stopped abruptly as Vena lifted a hand.

"Noted. The Ambassador will stay put. Whoever comes in here with the intent to harm the Imperial principle-" what a load of crap, but hey, it was the perfect opportunity to test her newfound Force techniques, "-will have to go through my lightsaber first."

Otto paced slowly in the background of the hastily formed brief between the ISB and the lone Imperial Knight present.

This new conflict had come straight to his door, to his planet, to his garrison. No, that would not be acceptable. He would not stand for it. His time as a local soldier and now officer on this planet made him a force multiplier or so he thought. Quickly addressing the Knight before departing the brief
"Knight Lann - please see to it that the good ambassador is comfortable for a moment. I need to address the men." Otto relayed as he followed the other military personnel clearing out of the room.

Making his way down the corridor for a moment before being flanked by a sergeant
"Sir, reinforcements have landed two blocks out and are clearing their way to the compound." With a nod Otto would pull up his armored gauntlet and open a channel with all present NCO's and Officers.

"Now here this. Lieutenant Otto von Bastion. 173rd Imperial Assault Corp... I need you all to understand this brazen attack will not be tolerated. This is our world, our families homes, our way of life." He paused beginning to hear the venom in his words, taking a deep inhale he would continue "These mercenaries will know nothing but sharp end of a blade, and the hot end of a blaster. Give no quarter, and steel yourselves for what is to come. For your Empire needs you this day." He concluded turning back to the Sergeant on his flank.

"Raise the alarm across the city, I want every available trooper back to their defensive positions NOW... Raise the reinforcements and see if they can sus out a safe way to flank whoever these fools are." With that, he dismissed the Sergeant, place his helmet on his head and pulled one of his pistols from it's holster. Returning to the room housing the Imperial Knight and the ambassador. @Darasuum @Die Shize @Javier esschoolbus @Eccles @Pantor

The rising form of a large vessel rising into orbit was noted by the Kordan mercenary leader. A single corvette would be a tough match even for the Barrel. But as long as Guerilla Group took the world itself they would be victorious in the end. But the Imperial corvette had likely been a transport which was only confirmed by the report of one of his kordans. They were likely going to be up against the criminal element of the planet first judging by the discharge of blaster fire coming from their direction.

Ka'ra'yc turned his attention back towards the compound and his comrades. <"Defend the compound from reinforcements!"> He told his warriors. Whilst they turned their attention outward the remaining kordans would have freedom to move in on the ambassador. Another squad of simian warriors would be reinforcing the mercenary presence eventually and it would be easier with an established beachhead.

Ka flew toward the roof of the ambassador's main building, weaving and avoiding blaster bolts as he pulled a thermal detonator from his gear and dropped it on the center of the structure to trigger on impact. The subsequent explosion would vaporize the material of the roof and open it up the top floor and make some destructive progress on the floor just below with its blast radius of five meters.

Not waiting for anyone but himself, the Kordan had already shoulders his magthumper grenade launcher by the time his detonator had exploded. The moment the first disintegration blast ended he would fire the explosive grenade into the freshly made hole. The grenade would arc down two floors before it would explode on impact on the third one below before the smoke had cleared.

In a one-two punch Ka had made an opening directly in the center of the building. Those inside would have to defend from the middle of their building and the outside. Those directly beneath the blasts ran the risk of getting vaporized, crushed under debris or getting fragged by shrapnel. Anywhere else in the building they would still feel the shaking and rumbling of the approaching threat as it came closer with each moment.

Behind his black visor, Vatar’s eyes went to the sky, glimpsing the corvette in the distance. It landed as Ka’ra’yc’s voice entered his helmet with a command to defend the compound from reinforcements. “It will be done.”

There was already some resistance in the immediate vicinity, the Mandalorian Kordan having drawn attention with his explosion. It would be some moments before that corvette’s deployment would reach the compound.

For now, Vatar would deal with the enemies nearest him. A contingent of troopers swarmed toward the Kordan standing in the open, offering a barrage of blaster bolts. His armor was thick but not impenetrable; heavy, though he was not so slow with his simian movement.

A container at his side, he launched it into his opponents. The metallic contraption both blocked the bolts from hitting him and then hit his targets, causing the troopers to scatter.

As it landed, the Kordan appeared behind it, roaring forward. It was an explosive sprint over a short distance, a speed he could not maintain for long, before it ended. At least a few of his enemies screamed, taken by surprise.

His telescopic weapon extended, hands on the haft of his great glaive, its thermic blade ripped and split. It cracked the helmet and crushed the rib, skewered the chest and sliced the stomach. The Kordan was a whirlwind in a storm of carnage as he tore into his opponents.

Une had been clearing out the defenders at the gate with relative ease. Until he noticed a shadow begin to appear. As he looked up at the corvette he winced at the thought of the ship he had begun to call home being destroyed.

He then received the command from Ka to hold off the potential reinforcements. As he turned to find his brother he saw him flying up and blowing multiple holes into the building. Une launched upwards with his jetpack heading to meet up with Ka in the air.

Right before he could reach the leader a stray bolt hit him and caused him to veer into the building. He landed through the hole that was made a few floors down. As he began to stand up he was swarmed by the internal security. He roared loudly as he began throwing them around the room and using his strength to dislimb a few and use them as weapons.

Once he cleared the room he began frantically searching for a way up. He eventually found the stair and began running up on all fours intent on reaching Ka.

The building shook a little, but whatever armament these small units (or solo operatives) had brought wouldn't be enough to demolish an Imperial building of state. This compound wasn't just any compound either, it was an Imperial compound. They'd find Imperial soldiers, HK-droids, turrets and locked blast doors on their way if they really tried to get to the ambassador. Some kind of Blitzkrieg solo-attempt to reach him was doomed to fail. Not even Darth Vader -a Sith Lord or something from almost two centuries ago- would've been able to get through to the Ambassador's office unscathed.

Even now the Kardon would see their positions getting challenged from inside the compound. Heavy fire would force them more into cover than not. This wasn't an Outer Rim brush-off with a Sector Ranger, they were taking on an imbedded garrisson of trained soldiers and specialists.

Meanwhile Vena helped herself to a drink inside the ambassador's office. "Don't worry, ambassador-" she reassured him as she poured herself a glass of cognac and began to warm it in her left hand. She was alert, trying to sense organic beings in a vicinity and trusted on the Force sending her signals of evil -of death and aggression- that would warm her in time of impending danger. "Lieutenant Bastion and his men will perish valiantly in their attempt to protect you," a smile crossed her lips as she watched the ambassador's panic over her nonchalance of the entire situation, "but then I at least am a knight," she started to explain in a barely convincing reassuring tone of voice, "and they stand no chance against a lightsaber and the Force."

Otto would continue to pace back and forth in the room with the ambassador and the knight. Hearing the dull sounds from above and responding to various calls from squad leaders and sergeants alike.

Units responding to the initial attacks, casualty reports, and the chatter of reinforcements reaching the compound. Otto would turn to the knight and the ambassador "Initial reports are favorable, our reinforcements are in the courtyard... Knight Lann - you seem to have some confidence in our defenses. Do you think we stay put our push out to meet the enemy?"

Otto was curious to get a read on this Knight and her style. She was unfamiliar to him, but none the less a needed force multiplier in this instant. @Eccles @Die Shize @Javier esschoolbus @Darasuum @Pantor

Thermal detonators were black market goods and for a good reason. A single orb of destruction could melt through two meters of pure permacite. The roof of the ambassador's building was fortified and durable, but it would still not be capable of standing up against a thermal detonator's disintegrating power. The ceiling over the heads of those in directly below did do more than shake, it blasted downward violently and instantly vaporised multiple layers of stone. Their varying levels of confidence would be interrupted as rubble and fire burst against the floor above them making pieces of their light fixtures fall around them.

The following frag grenade would arc through the building as intended. Not as destructive as the thermal detonator, the fragmentation grenade did not have to puncture as much reinforced architecture from within. The ordnance exploded, catching the imperial security that had not been taken out by the thermal detonator and violently opening up the ceiling of the ambassador's office. In turn this revealed the beings that resided within now ripe for targeting.

Those inside the top most floor and the one below it were cleared of small targets and would be easier for Ka'ra'yc to traverse. The imperials that had fallen below still were at risk of being crushed by unstable building material around the edge of the freshly made hole through the top two stories. Now the next few stories down had been opened up and the rest of the structure given a new vertical egress route.

The leader of Guerilla Group stayed low along the top of the roof but away from the lip of the breach. The angle kept those on the ground from being able to fire on him. Their blaster bolts and attempts would strike the edge of the ambassador's building if they dared fire at him. The diagonal bolts fired up would race into the sky, missing the surprisingly mobile mandalorians. One of the gorilla's "feet" grabbed a concussion grenade an tossed it over the edge of the opening for it to fall down into the ambassador's office and soften the imperials inside.

Une was trying his best to rush through the level he was on but the combat was difficult. Anyone he didn’t trample in his wake he sliced through with his axe. Luckily the majority of the fighting was below him in the lower levels. He still had an uphill battle to overcome first.

When he finally reached the stairs his armor was heavily scarred and he was practically red from all the blood. He opened the door to the stair well and began running up to the top levels. He roared out for Ka the whole way. At first it was just loud and trying to figure out where he was. Then it slowly began turning desperate as he couldn’t hear any responses back.

Once he got to the top floor the door was a blast door and it was sealed. He began bashing at the door with his axe trying to get through it screaming as he did. Anyone inside or above the building would definitely hear the commotion. Nothing he did with his axe damaged the door. Eventually he began beating it with his hands until the bled crying out as he did.

Whatever heavy armament was being used by the oversized monkey that saw fit to attack the Imperial compound was enough to affect the structural integrity of the weaponized concrete in the floors. The damaged caused a crack in the ceiling of the ambassador's office a few floors below and considerably to the side, something seriouf enough that Vena no longer wished for the high-ranking man to stick around. "Why is it always terrorist bombings?" she asked the room rethorically as she put the glass of cognac down and ushered the ambassador towards the lieutenant.

"Why do we even bother with blasters and lightsabers in this galaxy?" she complained just as she suddenly heard a grenade's clink-clanking over the shouting and firing of the imperial peacekeepers on the floors above.

"Why always-" she gathered the Force in her hand and pushed in the direction of the crack just as a grenade was beginning to show. The small grenade was then pushed back at great speed and would explode just when it reached the one that threw it (@Darasuum). "-these grenades."

Really, was it that hard for the galaxy -collectively- to just thing of something else than "toss ball of destruction that way and run". "If they're not coming here to me, then I will go to their homeworld and burn-" she was losing her patience and unwillingly showed the lieutenant a much angrier part of herself. "-their families into extinction."

Otto would direct the ambassador out of his office at the sounds of commotion above "Sounds like they're coming down." With that remark he would follow the ambassador out of the office, turning to watch Vena swirl her drink.

"Are you coming Knight Lann...?" He questioned with more than slight confusion on his lips. Either way, he would get reports on positions of the enemies from his troopers.

Opening the channel to his reinforcements (@Pantor) he would say "I have two contacts on the roof, and it sounds like you are dealing with the one in the courtyard. I will be with you momentarily." Otto finished his sentence, as he and the ambassador had left the office and began to near a stairwell as they traversed the hallway.

"Please stay close to me ambassador." Otto said calmly as he and the ambassador quickly moved down a single flight and over to the exterior door facing the courtyard and his incoming reinforcements. Popping the door open.

Seeing who he would not know to be Vatar - but one of the mercenaries (@Die Shize) taking fire from the incoming reinforcements. Otto would level his own DA-34 at the simian but would hold his fire. Instead opting to draw his vibro blade (of short sword length).

Standing in the doorway that the stairwell led out to, Otto would hold his position with the ambassador behind him. Waiting for the other mercenaries to make themselves known.

One blockade done, onto the next one. If the garrison was a gate then the Kordan was a battering ram as he blasted past them, through them, crashing and crushing, turning bones into nothing.

Time passed and he was no less fast. Vatar bludgeoned, the bane of his opponents, broken, as reinforcements began to arrive. Evidently his comrades were still busy in the building, so the Guerilla would do his part in the midst of their mission.

He did his best. His blaster blasted left. His sword soared forth. Then a blaster bolt came at him. From the side. Impacting his armor. Like mice. He turned toward and made the attacker regret his target.

Another shot. From above. Again and again. Suddenly, amid the events of the Kordan’s defensive efforts, he was surrounded, not by muted mooks, but by militants worth their mettle. As proven.

Vatar was circled. Blood must have blood. The Mandalorian Kordan warrior promised, as a barrage of blaster bolts pummeled his form. He roared. He became a storm. Wild, woken, yet it was not enough to save him.

My fight is over. He told himself as he went down. Down and out for the count as consciousness began to slip from his grip. We are one clan. “Oso Iaik wonkru!” He cried as he tasted his demise.

Light the fire… Vatar could see the pyres as his armor was riddled with blaster bolts. The greatest fire the galaxy has ever seen…

"Jus drein jus daun!”

Was his final cry.

Ge smak daun, gyon op nodotaim.

Was his final thought amid tired eyes.

Ka'ra'yc was confident the way down was clear and was about ready to leap down into the building. But the deafening blast of his concussion grenade was at risk of exploding in the air beside him. Instinctively he knew there was little to no time left before the timer counted down but his nearest long limb lashed out to swat the orb away.

The orb spun away but not fast enough. The concussion grenade blasted the armored kordan at the edge of its radius with deafening sound even as he turned away at the last moment. The guerrilla group leader reeled from the effect of his own flash bang, letting go of his launcher and letting it hang from its sling by his side. Ka clutched either side of his helmet and grunted repeatedly but the ringing told him he would not hear anything for the next few seconds. It was not permanent and he had the common sense to look away from it before it had exploded.

Une had been banging and scratching at the door for a little bit by now. He went to pick up his axe when he realized there was a panel next to the door. As he was examining it he heard another loud bang from the other side and rushed to open the door and ran out as it did.

He was going to ask Ka the plan when he heard a roar from the courtyard below. He rushed to the edge of the building unslinging his rifle as he did. Once he got to the edge he saw his brother Vatar fall on the ground as blaster fire still enveloped him. Une let out a pain filled roar as he began opening fire on the troopers responsible. Two bolts directed towards the fireteam leader (@Pantor). He would not allow his comrade to die while his murderers lived.

While the battle on the ground was now down to two large primates against and entire Imperial compound, Murkhana's relative proximity to the main Imperial fleet finally showed its benefits; Seraph Fleet came out of hyperspace above the planet. Its role in the Imperial navy was that of quick reaction force and therefore it had been prepped for travel to unexpected conflict. Almost instantly its flagship, Resurgent-class Star Destroyer the 'Detente' seemed to spew out TIE-fighters from both sides while its heavy Ion-turrets targeted the CEC-2011 Bulk Freigher that was identified as the primates' ship of origin.

From their position on the roof, both Ka'ra'yc (@Darasuum) and Uneedth (@Javier esschoolbus) would be able to see the Detente in all its glory thanks to the cloudless sky.

Likewise many of the Imperials would, too, and morale visibly improved while the local criminals dispersed again. They had tried to overthrow the Imperial government, but everyone was all too familiar with the destructive capabilities of an Imperial fleet.

[OOC: three rounds of stalling by the attacking party]

Vena meanwhile received a call on her holo-communicator, displaying Commander Marcius Darrow from within the cockpit of his TIE-fighter. "What's the status of the ambassador?" the commander demanded to know, too busy flying down to the surface of the planet to bother with introductions and niceties. Vena instantly liked his directness. "Safe," she replied as she, too, entered the staircase and watched the lieutenant and the ambassador move down steadily, "Lieutenant von Bastion is taking him to Emergency Exfil Alpha." Imperial doctrine was hammered into every recruit and so were the exfils in case shit hit the metaphorical fan. Thankfully, the attackers seemed to be so few in number that all exfiltration points were still available.

"Hostiles?" the commander asked, wanting to know where to send his squadron of TIE-fighers to. "Rooftop. Compound main building."

[OOC: two rounds until rooftop is fired upon]

While the above conversation was happening, Vena was moving down the staircase with her senses directed towards the floors above. If the Kaldon would come for her through the staircase she would not be caught off guard.

Observing the exchange of fire between the courtyard and the roof, then listening in on the Imperial comms and looking to the sky for a moment to see the Seraph Fleet overhead. It was looking like their luck was turning around.

Being that the rooftop was out of range for his blaster pistols, Otto would re-holster his pistol and activate the pneumatic fist via the forearm control pad. Now holding his short-sword length vibro in one hand and the activated pneumatic fist in the other. Otto would begin out the doorway with the diplomat on his right side, with his hand placed on the square of his back. Both hunched low and moving into the courtyard.

With the suppressing fire of Lt. Elsaar (@Pantor) directed at the roof where the remaining attackers sat - Otto would duck into cover 10-15 meters behind the reinforcements. Placing the diplomat behind the sturdiest of it and putting the strongest pieces of cover between their attackers and themselves. "Beginning movement to Emergency Exfil Alpha. Keep me covered!" Otto called out over their secure channel.

A few of members of the 173rd could be seen in the distance, relatively nearby where Lt. Elsaar and his reinforcement's had been deposited.

The ringing in Ka'ra'yc's ears gave way to the sound of chatter. Someone was talking to him through his helmet comms but the guerrilla group leader had been unable to hear for a few moments. Now with the effects of the concussion grenade beginning to receed he could make out the report. A star destroyer had appeared and was dispatching starfighters to intercept the Barrel and eventually reinforce the Imperial ground troops.

<"Belay the second wave. We need a pickup."> He spoke to the crew of the gauntlet transport in a series of grunts, growls and hoots. Keeping low on the roof, the angle of the weapons from those below would only serve to suppress the sapien for now. All of the blaster bolts impacted the otherwise durable imperial structure and were stopped before ever doing Ka'ra'yc any harm. His hands were fast at work reloading his grenade launcher with a new explosive.

The gauntlet class transport would move to return and pick up the mandalorian kordans. <"We are leaving!"> He roared to his brothers. <"The gauntlet is returning!"> It was their signal to ignite their jetpacks. But one problem remained which the Ka'ra'yc had been unaware of. Vatar was down.

The Barrel was a big ship but it was still faster than the star destroyer. It would move beyond the range of its main guns and begin whittling down the numbers of TIE fighters that closed the distance. They knew to make the jump if they had to and were already beginning to make calculations to hyperspace. They were guerrilla group after all. Hit and run tactics were their specialty.

Seeing an opening in the suppressive fire, Ka'ra'yc dove over the edge of the building at high speed. Ka aimed the grenade launcher safely beyond the place where Vatar lay and fired it to create a large cloud of dirt, dust and smoke to act as cover. His jetpack carried him down to the surface beside the unconcious Vhett. His mass slammed into the ground and shook everything in the immediate area.

Just as quickly Ka had dropped beside his wounded kin, no sooner had he grabbed Vatar and hoisted him into the air, taking the two of them towards the incoming transport. The kom'rk was coming in low and slow enough for the gorilla to struggle to fly the short distance to safety. It had its own class 1 hyperdrive onboard and would be sufficient to escape the TIE fighters. The ship would be Une's ride as well and he better not miss it.
