Rule Number Negative Zero: When in doubt, go fetch melons.

Hah. Good call. I'll jot that down in the list of other rules that I'm gradually catching on to.

No it shouldn't.

Unless your plan is to beat the Sith by killing off all the new blood. :CDumb

That's totally a terrible plan! My plans are nefarious webs of complex trickery...

Darkwahn was also interested, but that puts us at five people, which makes things more complicated. So I dunno. We'll have to see how things play out. I'm still talking to Malon and Xeno to figure out all of the details.

Sorry about the delay, everyone.

I'm up for it if it's not to death/dismembering/maiming, etc.

I don't mind maiming as long as my capacity to fight against an ACTUAL enemy is not reduced. But then again my characters ugly to begin with.

Thats exactly my point, just that i'd rather not maiming at all. If its not with training sabers or whatsoever, i'm outie :bitchez

I believe it'll be with training sabers, but SITH training sabers, which are made of durasteel and coated with millions of pelko barbs which on contact burn and blister in addition to paralyzing said limb / extremity. Made of metal, it's a blunt force trauma weapon and will easily break bone and 'maim', but if you're going to be worried about a little disfigurement or physical injury the Empire isn't the right faction for you.

Not nearly as lethal as a real saber, it kind of simulates the real effect of a lightsaber temporarily, its cool.

All right everyone, the Mock Acolyte Tournament is finally starting to shape up, and I couldn't be more excited for it. The final roster for the tournament looks like this:

Inquisitous (Trellheim)
John Kant (Kant)
Maieve (Xedan Blokk)
Andraste (Sreeya)
Raven (Darkwahn)
Strife (Strife)
Au'ekkis (Xyrael)
Samara Drayen (Samara)

The first round of duels will be as follows:

Inquisitous vs. Andraste
Raven vs. Samara Drayen
Strife vs. John Kant
Maieve vs. Au'ekkis

I'll be posting a main tournament thread on Korriban, in which all of the challengers can meet and discuss before and between the matches. It will also serve as a thread where the commentator (Weiss) will be announcing the victors of the matches. Any Marauders or Acolytes who aren't participating in the tournament may feel free to post here and comment on the fights, however, be courteous to the other roleplayers and try not to let it become a huge cluster****, or we'll have to close off the thread. Difficult as it may be for Sith, try and keep the main thread combat-free.

For sake of ease, one competitor from each duel will be responsible for starting the thread for their fight. To make it easier to locate all of the threads, please title it as following: "[Round 1]: (name) vs. (name)" We'll do the same for Round 2, and Round 3, etc.

When all of the duels have finished, Weiss will announce the winners in the main thread, and then will announce the bracket for Round 2. I'll also be posting it here so we make sure that everyone is on the same page.

Unless otherwise agreed to by competitors, duels will be non-lethal. We'll be using training lightsabers in order to minimize lasting damage to any character, however, you can assume that your character may suffer some injuries due to the nature of the roleplay. Keep that in mind, and roleplay fairly with your opponent.

Please feel free to post or PM me with any questions or concerns at all. The opening thread will be up later this evening, and then everyone is free to start their combat threads. Communicate with your opponent as to who will be starting the thread. And finally, I hope this is fun and we all get some good RP out of it! Don't hesitate to ask any questions. Seriously.

Cheers.
