No more bullshit. Talk is already established IC between Elohim and Borga. While the Rendili Raiders were supposed to capitalize on it with Camelia, and then Captain France, nothing has been done. Which I believe is fair game to go and grab it for ourselves. Cassa and I have been talking and we have some general ideas on what we need for missions. This will be a mission pack for the Cartel to establish this asset. So the main focus here is providing more missions to the Cartel.

Thread: We need Engineers. So we kidnap them from KDY.

Thread: We need some funds. So we rig some races or fights and make some big bucks.

Thread: RHE may get attacked mid-contrsuction. So we defend against these attacks.

Thread: We need to frame the rebels. So we dig up some proof to link them to the kidnapping.

Thoughts? Ideas?
So far we're at 36 missions on the log, so we'll plan for 37+ onwards.
Rothana Heavy Engineering, made famous for the marvellous machinations used in the Clone Wars of over a thousand years ago, have since been destroyed. That being said, vestiges of its production business still exist in broken, run down sections of the once-great manufacturing plants. It is the wish of the Granee Lorda that this business be brought back to its former glory, under the management of the Hutt Cartel. Upon completion of the below ten (10) missions, the Hutt Cartel will have production capabilities from Rothana Heavy Engineering both from their shipyards and production facilities.

When we're done with writing them, we'll number them the same as the ones already on the mission database, by labelling them in the line above 'Mission Name' with a number, we'll be able to effectively track which missions are doing what.

Anything orange is added as an after-the-fact note, by Cassanova, with Matt's permission.

We're gonna need more than 4 missions to make this a full whammy. Let's have a look at the types of characters we have, and make sure we have missions to suit everyone. Hackers, Smugglers, Shoot'emuppers, Businesspeople, SexyAssbitches who aint afraid to shake dat thang to get what they want.

Ultimately the cartel is about generating profit, and if we get RHE going again there will be plenty of that at hand. Of course we do need to talk ICly with Imperials post-Klat to see if they'll recruit RHE for stuff too to contribute to their anti-rebel/jedi efforts (and so they stop hurting usssss :'( )

Everything in the OP is just a rough draft. And yeah, lets take a look at the roster and see what other missions we can come up with.

So what i'm trying to do with these packs are give a really wide variety of missions focused on everything - espionage, corporate undertakings, asset acquisition, running and gunning, gun running, accidents, disasters, internal disputs, diplomacy, outright combat, and god knows what else.

I suggest we expand our scope to include these different genres, different environments, and different objectives.

The Paradise Pack, i'm going to hold off on, since... you know... the Casino isn't built yet. SO i'll focus on the other packs, and come back to this later.
paradisebanner_zps13fe81c9.jpg

The Paradise Casino & Resort, located on Rishi on the edge of Hutt Cartel Territory, is a mecca for all those who wish to relax, play, and participate in all that is luxurious, extravagant, and indulgent! Its on-site security team cannot, of course, handle every situation that arises, which is why, on occasion, the Cartel calls upon its other members to assist. Payment, of course, is provided for services rendered with the added benefit of your name sliding across Jack Tamblyn's desk in a favourable way.

Mission Name: Explosive Raid
Location: Onboard a Raid Station, above Rishi
Details: A light freighter has been detained at the local Raid Station above Rishi, hoping to deliver goods planetside to the Paradise Casino & Resort. It seems that their intentions were not as noble as they appeared. A scan of their cargo suggested they were smuggling in explosives to destroy the resort. As soon as the ship's captain realised he had been made, he and his crew locked down their ship, securing themselves inside and magnetically locking itself to the Raid Station's hangar floor!
Objective: Board the enemy vessel, kill the occupants and disarm the explosive devices.
Payment: 10,000c each.
Participants: 2-4 Cartel Members.
Additional Notes: Be aware that not only is the ship smuggling explosives, but we have been unable to identify where onboard the explosives are.

Mission Name: U.F.O.
Location: Rishi, Paradise Island
Details:Paradise scanners have picked up an Unidentified Falling Object two kilometers outside of the main Casino & Resort. While it poses no risk of damaging the resort, its manager, Jack Tamblyn is very curious as to the object and its origin.
Objective: Brave the dangerous jungles of Paradise Island to find, collect and return the fallen object to Jack Tamblyn at the Resort's office building.
Payment: 8,000c each.
Participants: 2-3 Cartel Members.
Additional Notes: Scans suggest that the object is a container of some kind. It's contents are unknown.
For elaboration, contact Cassanova to join the RP when the object has been collected!

Mission Name: Hyper Intelligence
Location: Rishi, Paradise Casino & Resort
Details: Its a big night here at the Paradise, and security teams are already handling several risks. It does, however, seem that a guest of the hotel believes himself able to cheat at our high rollers' table and get away with it. He has been winning all night, and seems to be up nearly a hundred million credits.
Objective: Identify the winner, and evict him from the hotel quietly - He is not to return to Paradise.
Payment: 7,000c each.
Participants: 2-3 Cartel Members.
Additional Notes:

The Hub, the central point of power on Nal Hutta is like any other asset. Things go wrong, and things need doing. The Hub's smooth operation is imperative to the lines of communication for the Cartel. On-site staff are equipped to handle some events, but on occasion, external people are called in. The Cartel, being unwilling to call in unvetted individuals, calls upon its members, the Prospects, Enforcers and Captains of the Cartel to keep its central seat of power, information and intelligence secure.

Mission Name: Municipal Services
Location: Nal Hutta
Details: In order to keep a facility of the Hub's size secure, the Cartel has dozens and dozens of blaster emplacements and armouries scattered all over the complex. In order to ensure optimum effect in the unlikely event these emplacements and ammunition supplies need to be discharged, the Cartel regularly rotates its supplies. It appears that a greenhorn had been given the task and bodged it, misconnecting a critical component. The resulting explosion near one of the outbuildings collapsed in some of the access tunnels.
Objective: Get to the outbuilding, eliminate the risk of exploding Tibanna gas, and begin rescue efforts for those trapped inside.
Payment: 22,000c each.
Participants: 2-4 Cartel Members.
Additional Notes:

Mission Name: Location, Location, Location
Location: Nar Shaddaa
Details: While the Cartel's influence is wholesome and all encompassing, it is a fact that pockets of dissidence exist. One such pocket is a do-gooder posing as a Real Estate agent. He has been working his way through the slums district buying up vacant lots with the plans to refurbish and repurpose these buildings to something resembling homeless shelters. The Cartel needs the needy to continue being needy, and the tweaked to remain desperate. The money flow relies on this gap in wealth.
Objective: Set up drug labs in two of these locations that this Real Estate Agent, and ensure local authorities are notified that this Estate Agent is cooking with intent to sell.
Payment: 8,000c each, plus a secure storage facility (2x4m unit).
Participants: 2-4 Cartel Members.
Additional Notes:

Mission Name: Sealing the Deal
Location: Nal Hutta
Details: A delegate from Geonosis has come to Nal Hutta to plead with the Hutts for assistance in their economic downturn at the hands of the Imperium's blockades. The Cartel is not interested in charity nor the sub-standard quality goods that the Geonosians have to offer.
Objective: Stop the delegate from ever reaching the meeting chambers, and get him back to Geonosis as quickly as possible.
Payment: 11,000c each.
Participants: 2-4 Cartel Members.
Additional Notes: The Delegate is not to be harmed, and Hub Security personell are not to be alerted to the situation.

Mission Name: Public Faces
Location: Nar Shaddaa
Details: The Hub is known for its use by the Cartel to send out advertisements and messages. All of these are regulated by Cartel officials so that they show no signs of slander against the Cartel, or any of their affiliations. Well, there seems to be someone tampering with the database and has hacked into the system. This has resulted in damaged reputation against some of the Cartel's higher echelon.
Objective: Find out who has hacked into the system and bring them to the Cartel authorities so they they can be taken care of.
Payment: 20,000 each.
Participants: 2-3 Cartel Members.
Additional Notes: This hacker seems to know what he is doing. It is unknown if he is a part of a team, or doing this solo. Though he must be not far from the Hub to actually have access.

Mission Name: Lockdown
Location: Nar Shaddaa
Details: Because of the break caused by the hacked system, there has been higher security all around the building. Though, physical personnel might not fully secure the system from another attempted breach. Skill and experience is needed to ensure that the Hub can not be hacked again.
Objective: Set up firewalls and failsafes so that the Hub cannot be hacked.
Payment: 25,000c each.
Participants: 1-2 Cartel Members.
Additional Notes:

Mission Name: Crossed Wires

Objective: Disarm the self-destruct and escaped the locked down security area.
Payment: 14,000c each.
Participants: 2-3 Cartel Members.
Additional Notes:

Mission Name: Precious Cargo
Location: Nar Shaddaa

It is rumoured that mercenaries and ne'er do well forces wish to capture this item, and are planning several assaults to acquire it.
Objective: Plan and execute a safe, effective and secure method of transporting the cargo. Kill any resistance.
Payment: 23,000c each.
Participants: 2-4 Cartel Members.
Additional Notes:

Mission Name: Unrest on Ryloth
Location: Ryloth
Details: It has been discovered that there has been a disturbance to the supply of Lorda Borga the Hutt's Twi'lek slaves. The Hub's intelligence networks suggest that riots may break out as a direct result of the lack of entertainment. Investigate the situation to determine who is the cause of the riots.
Objective: Investigate who is stirring the riots, and bring them before Borga for punishment.
Payment: 30,000c each.
Participants: 2-3 Cartel Members, 1 NPCer.

Objective: Deliver the weapon shipment to the complex, eliminate any resistance.
Payment: 31,000c each.
Participants: 2-4 Cartel Members.
Additional Notes: The gun storage containers are locked and booby-trapped. They will detonate if you attempt to open them, as they are coded to only open for the complex overseer, who happens to be a Lorda's cousin.

Mission Name: Hard Break
Location: Tatooine
Details: It's no secret that the Cartel has been watching its old stomping ground lately. Its a poorly kept secret that three representatives of three separate crime syndicates are gathering in Mos Eisley to coordinate their efforts to blockade the Cartel from returning to the Tatooinian markets. There are three representatives attending, one is responsibile for slave running, another for drug peddling, and the last arms dealing - they don't particularly get along.
Objective: Kidnap one of the representatives on their way to the meeting, and replace them. Cause disagreement, heated discourse, and ultimately destroy any chance of a truce so that the representatives will incite war between themselves.
Payment: 40,000c
Participants: 1-4 Cartel Members
Additional Notes: Do not kill the other representatives in the meeting. They must go home in order to convince their syndicates to feud. Do not reveal your identities as Cartel agents. If more than 1 participant, the non-disguised members may interrogate the captured representative.

Estarra Party Limited and Estarra Star Mapping are two businesses owned by the Hutt Cartel. Luckily, the Imperium has tolerated the companies' affiliation with the Cartel, as there is no evidence to support any criminal activities endorsed or undertaken by the company. It is imperative that this remains the case.

Mission Name: Make it Rain
Location: Teth
Details: Every year on Teth, there is an Annual Gala held to honour the achievements of those working in legitimate industry. For the past five years, Galaxon Incorporated, a small Teth-based star mapping company has won the Gala's highest honour of Best Business. It has come to our attention that Rudi Atlas, the CEO of Galaxon, has been bribing the Gala organisers in order to win.
Objective: Ensure that, not only does Estarra Star Mapping win this year's award, but that Rudi Atlas is publically shamed and his company disgraced. He is not to win again.
Payment: 17,500c each.
Participants: 2-3 Cartel Members.
Additional Notes: Killing Atlas is not acceptable.

Mission Name: Where's the Cargo?
Location: Nar Shaddaa
Details: Estarra Star Mapping has thousands upon thousands of vessels outfitted with star mapping equipment. Each of these vessels are equipped with recording devices, allowing Estarra technicians to map the active motion of the planets and solar systems around the galaxy. Some band of hoodlums have taken it upon themselves to hijack one of these such devices. The problem is not that they have it, the problem is that this vessel was used for illicit smuggling, and if the device is onsold, Estarra's credibility and legitimacy would be in tatters. This is a taint upon our reputation that the Cartel cannot afford.
Objective: Using the tracking beacon onboard the recording device, track down the gang that stole the equipment, eliminate them and ensure that there are no traces of the information on the gang's computer systems.
Payment: 19,000c each.
Participants: 2-4 Cartel Members.
Additional Notes: The only way to track these hoodlums is by hacking into the local law enforcement scanners and using Estarra recording frequencies to hone in on the device. A hacker is recommended.

Mission Name: Political Diversion
Location: DSC Daedalus
Details: Aboard the DSC Daedalus, the galaxy's "neutral" station, resides an Estarra office. Regrettably, some big shot from the Corporate Sector seems to believe that Estarra is a Cartel funded operation. Despite the truth of the matter, this rumour cannot circulate.
Objective: Convince the big shot to remain silent.
Payment: 21,000c each.
Participants: 1-4 Cartel Members.
Additional Notes: Per DSC Daedalus rules, no weapons, fighting, killing, maiming, or capture is allowed. Star a fight, and you'll be thrown in jail, and the Cartel will have no power to release you.

Mission Name: Poisoned Bait
Location: Corellian Run Hyperspace Lane
Details: Estarra Star Mapping has a long history of having peaceful, uneventful journeys for its employees. Unfortunately, repeated pirate attacks have started to cause problems for that reputation. With four of our vessels having been attacked and gone missing, its time we turn the tides. Your team will man one of our CR90 mapping Corvettes and patiently await the Pirate raid.
Objective: Await the pirate raid. When they board, kill all the attackers.
Payment: 21,000c each.
Participants: 2-4 Cartel Members.
Additional Notes: If possible, get information regarding the size, scope, and location of their operation.

Mission Name: Delegate Down
Location: Tatooine
Details: After an important meeting on Nal Hutta, your team has been tasked with escorting a Delegate back to his people waiting on Christophsis. Unfortunately, your ship has suffered major damage and you're bound for an unpleasant crash landing in the wastes of the Dune Sea of Tatooine.
Objective: Escort the Delegate out of the Jundland Wastes and get him back on course to his people on Christophsis.
Payment: 17,000c each.
Participants: 1-4 Cartel Members.
Additional Notes:

Mission Name: Prisoner Transfer
Location: Nar Shadaa
Details: A high-value prisoner needs to be transferred from Nar Shadaa's casino district to the spaceport on the other side of the area. A high aggitated Wookiee who has as many resources and connections as he does, is sure to have friends making efforts to break him out.
Objective: Transport the Wookiee prisoner to the spaceport. Kill any resistance.
Payment: 17,000c each.
Participants: 2-4 Cartel Members.
Additional Notes: It is recommended that ground transport is utilised.

Mission Name: Short A Crew
Location: Wild Space, East of Hutt Territory
Details: Estarra Star Mapping has had some shortcomings in the attendance of its security teams for operations. Your team had been called in to assist with the investigation of a derelict space station found beyond the reaches of Hutt Territory.
Objective: Travel to and explore the derelict station. Ensure to locate and collect the datadrive for further analysis.
Payment: 20,000c each.
Participants: 2-4 Cartel Members.
Additional Notes: The station is old, and unstable. Expect segments of the station to be damaged, volatile, and even lacking in atmosphere.

I'm liking this Cassa, this is just what we need. When I get time, I'll writeup a Zonju pack, and maybe an arena pack. What else do we need?

I think if I focus on the Estarra business and hub packs, we'll be in a good position. Those settings give me enough play to have a good variety of missions. Enough opportunity for gunplay, but also enough to diversify that and get some other fun stuff happening for characters who aren't so gun oriented, like befallen's Xora.

While not related to this, we need more bounties too - something I'll look at next week.

But yeah, you can see how I'm trying to build missions that require different character types, or at least multiple types to work together.

Another planet not in Hutt Cartel territory, Zonju V has serious business plans due to the work and initial planning of Enforcer Sonny Mills. Zonju V has been known to bare an underworld full of gangs and opposing thugs. A main goal for this planet is total control. Using the gangs to gain a strong foothold, and Cartel investment and backup to accomplish such a feat. From this came the partnership, a formation of Sonny Mills, and Borga the Hutt. The pair both bringing their assets to bring forth Zonju V into their hands and the hands of the Cartel.

The new face of Zonju V has been now seen with the grand opening of the Bouncing Bantha Casino and Resort. With founder and creator Sonny Mills giving up his CEO seat, this is only the first of a new wave of entertainment and luxury within the new Sathad'ra. Yet this is not the only venture that Troika Mining Company has brought forth besides it's mining industry on the planet. With the takeover of the old Arena, Borga the Hutt has renovated and established his image upon the new arena that will surely bring a ton of revenue to the planet.

UPDATE:
Under TMC, Zonju V has established a much stronger presence within Sathad'ra. Attacks on the Bouncing Bantha has caused for an increased security personnel under the Natori Security Company to arrive and strengthen any and all assets on the planet. The Cartel has also expended a small fleet over the city to ensure its safety, as well as a battlestation to do the same, and increase commerce.

Borga is currently looking for another Cartel agent to assist in running his operations on Zonju V. Benefits to assisting Borga include, stake in TMC, loyalty and respect of a Hutt Lorda, and credits. If you wish to fill this position, lead and complete 2 Zonju V pack missions and then contact Matt.
Agents:
Viktsor Verine

Mission Name: There's this outpost, see...
Location: Zonju V - Sathad'ra
Details:The City of Bones has been nearly completely taken over by TMC and the Cartel. A long term goal nearly accomplished. Although there are a few forces who still pose a problem. They are the Hun Outpost located to the South of the city, and the notorious Waste Rangers. Despite bleak efforts to befriend the rangers, they have branded the Cartel an enemy. Though for now, I'd rather deal with these Huns who have set up some recent raids on Ra'fakki slave wagons.
Objective: Stop the Huns and show them that if they persist, or continue to make an enemy out of the Cartel, then they are painting a target on their backs. Kill anyone if you must.
Payment: 20,000c each
Participants: 3-4 Cartel Members
Additional Notes: You are going to need someone to NPC the Huns. Speak to Duke or find a Ranger.

Mission Name: No Friend of Mine
Location: Zonju V - Sathad'ra
Details: There are people helping out the Rangers in the city. They are no friend of TMC or the Cartel and are considered an enemy. They have given out pertinent intel that has led to attacks against the Cartel on multiple occasions.
Objective: Find out who these people are, suspected to be about 5 of them, and capture or kill them.
Payment: 40,000c for each capture or kill.
Participants: 3-4 Cartel Members.
Additional Notes: This is going to require an NPC on the Ranger side. Either contact Duke, or a Ranger to play the opposition. You can also use the resources provided by Commander Jacob Kelene of the Natori Security Force.

Mission Name: Deadly Sin
Location: Zonju V - Sathad'ra
Details: The Venom District of the city is home to some of the most talented and gifted assassins named the Vipers. The group is led by a mysterious woman under the name Sin. While they are not declared enemies of TMC, they are not specifically allies. What they do like are credits, and lots of them. Their assassins can be used to reach other parts of the city, but more importantly, other cities on the planet.
Objective: Meet with Sin and get her to ally with the Cartel. Get her to dispatch assassins, or sleeper agents within Go Mal Tok, Yawn Point, rorn and First Tear. Make sure these agents are established before offering up the credits.
Payment: 25,000c each
Participants: 1-3 Cartel Members.
Additional Notes: There shouldnt be much trouble, Sin is much like the Hutts, wanting credits more than anything. Convince her to ally with us, using slaves as well.

Mission Name: Ark Angel
Location: Zonju V - Rorn
Details: The city of Rorn has recently celebrated their newly appointed King Ark for his selflessness and general care for all that come to his city. He has also amassed a large army which he uses to establish outposts. These outposts have been getting closer and closer to Sathad'ra, of which is rather nearby. King Ark was once a Nomani, and thus allows them to enter his city. He is a just man who wants the best for all his people.
Objective: Be a representative for the Cartel and TMC and speak with King Ark, show him that the Cartel can be as generous as he is and create an alliance.
Payment: 60,000c each
Participants: 1 Cartel Member.
Additional Notes: Speak to Duke to NPC King Ark.

Mission Name: Gol Mal Take!
Location: Zonju V - Go Mal Tok
Details: The city of Gol Mal Tok is situated in a perfect position that allows trade to flow to both cities. Controlled by the strict Knights of Thunder, they are anything but chivalrous. They rule their land and allow very few to enter their city-fort. Attacking settlements and wandering bands, they recruit people by force, which seems like a nice way into the city. The city would be a great asset to TMC, and with so few being allowed in, they have to be bleeding economically.
Objective: Send a representative to negotiate peace, or a full surrender under the Cartel and TMC. Offer them our help, or our full and swift hostile takeover.
Payment: 65,000c each
Participants: 1-2 Cartel Members.
Additional Notes: The Knights of Thunder value combat, and any participants should show this to them.

Mission Name: Time for Tumulk
Location: Zonju V - Oasis towns
Details: Tumulk and his band of outcast criminals have yet to directly affect the Cartel and their business. Though before they do, or consider it, the Cartel would like to extend hidden trade with them. Doing this would set them as an ally, unbeknownst to the other cities. And eliminate any threat.
Objective: Meet with Tumulk and see if any sort of alliance is possible.
Payment: 45,000c each
Participants: 1-2 Cartel Members.
Additional Notes: Tumulk must be NPC'd.

Mission Name: Tired of your shit!
Location: Zonju V - Yawn Point
Details: Yawn Point is a very rich and key oasis town in prime position on Zonju for communication between cities. Though it is now rum by Mallum Company, a mercenary group who was driven out of Sathad'ra by TMC's first takeover. Now, they protect the town and its bustling economy.
Objective: Wipe em out.
Payment: 50,000c each
Participants: 3-4 Cartel Members.
Additional Notes:

Mission Name: There is need for Tears
Location: Zonju V - First Tear
Details: First Tear is the largest oasis on the planet and is home to some very religious and devoted people. Run by archbishop Ro, the city seems to be quit popular. It is also home to a very enigmatic and highly protected water that is said to have great healing properties.
Objective: Gain entrance and speak with Ro on behalf of the Cartel/TMC. No weapons are allowed within the city and aggression is not the way to go.
Payment: 45,000c
Participants: 1-2 Cartel Members.
Additional Notes:

Mission Name: Where'd they Go?
Location: Zonju V
Details: The Waste Rangers have been pushed out of Sathad'ra by TMC. Their previous saloon all but abandoned. Yet somehow news of them keeps popping up all across the city. They have to have come up with a new place to run things, perhaps even somewhere inside the city. TMC once wanted to ally with them, but they were too proud to accept.
Objective: Find out where they reside, where their new base of operations is.
Payment: 55,000c each
Participants: 1-2 Cartel Members.
Additional Notes:

Mission Name: These are the Droids you're Looking for
Location: Zonju V
Details: There is a droid factory located south of Sathad'ra. Strange noises and things have been happening recently which is causing rumors to spread. Some thing that the droids have come alive and are preparing something sinister. Before we can assess what is going on, information is what is needed.
Objective: Go to the factory and retrieve as many different droids as you can and see if you can figure out what is going on.
Payment: 30,000c each
Participants: 2-3 Cartel Members

Would a Sharp Heavy Industries pack be something good to have around? Or would you guys like to see a merc related pack as jobs that Yuri would give out?

SHI, being Corellia based, poses an awkward position for us, really.
Ultimately if we have the variety of missions in Hutt space, or in Indie space, we're sweet.

But whatever you do, Gaja, it can't be a whole pack of "run and gun" misions - we've got more members with a wider variety than just point and shoot stuff.

SHI isn't Corellia based. Its HQ is on Daedalus, while the main production plant was on Corellia, at least before the skip it was. I never really delved too much in to the specifics after the skip, aside from talking to Kiro about its status on Corellia. Which according to her would have been fine as long as it honored Imp regulations/laws. Which doesn't mean that Yuri can't seek out a new production facility somewhere in Indie space or something.

Just throwing it out there. But yeah with Yuri being the top soldier/merc in the HC I thought maybe something along those lines would be good, but since he's a gangster too maybe taking care of some riged fights or races might be interesting.

Ahhh, by all means, man. Let's not lie, there are way more gunslingers than other archtypes in the Cartel, so we do need those type of missions. But just try to make them so that other archtypes can participate too - so prowess with a gun isn't a requirement to participate.

Hmmm, well we can all work on action packed missions that allows characters with diverse skill sets to participate. I was thinking of taking a bit of time and helping out with my own mission pack. :)

Well I could certainly see it having a few merc missions as well if we were to assume that certain righterous bastards are trying to bring harm to it or have stolen a certain top secret prototype...

Alright. I've locked down the Mission Database thread and IM'd bac the following

Matt, Insoulent and I are working on missions for the Cartel, and also ways to improve efficiency for "processing" them.
We were hoping you would post a new thread "Hutt Cartel Mission Database" (same title as the current one), sticky and -lock- it for us.
But we'd need you to post something like "Coming Soon" in the first post, and "Reserved" in the second as a temporary measure.

The second post is going to be used to compiled any In Progress and Completed Missions, to help tidy the first post in such a way that only available missions are listed.

I've also gone through the mission databse, and pulled the few unclaimed missions and added them to the Hub mission pack, which is now complete at 10 missions. The Estarra business pack has 7 missions in it, but I'm happy to release it as is.

So I've got 17 there ready to go.

Once Bac does the star wars legacies posts, I'll swoop in, make the appropriate edits and stuff so that the first post is all unclaimed missions.
the second post will be in progress/claimed and completed missions. I'll also go through and number the missions up to 10 per pack. So The Estarra pack will have numbers 1-10 (despite only having 1-7). This way, each new pack, regardless of how complete it is, will have a set starting number.
1, 11, 21, 41, etc.

Once people sign up for it, we remove the mission from the first post, and put it into a spoiler tag in the second post entitled "Claimed". Once the members start the thread, they PM/VM one of us, and we then move it to "In Progress". Upon its completion... to "Completed".

On each "mission" where it has the participants section, we'd remove the 2-3 Cartel Members, and replace it with hyperlinks to the participating characters.

Sound good, biatchez?

Silly Kevin. You're supposed to copy the mission from the pack in the first post and paste it into the claimed section of the second post. That way, if a mission is taken, it isn't on display for other members. No confusion.

I'll fix it up in a few so you can see what I mean.

Fat Possum said:
Mission Name: Get Me the Goods
Location: Manda, R-15
Details: Cartel agents have successfully infiltrated the Baobab Archives, replacing a number of rare and priceless artifacts with forgeries. Unfortunately, one of the forgeries was discovered and the planet is essentially on lockdown. The Cartel needs a capable smuggler to fly to the planet, retrieve the goods, and sneak them through any customs checkpoints.
Objective: Retrieve the Baobab artifacts and deliver them to Borga.
Payment: 8,000c each
Participants: 1-2 Cartel Members
Additional Notes: The forgeries were discovered before one final item, an Onderonian funeral urn, was taken. A reward of 20,000c is offered if this last item is stolen from the Baobab Archives and delivered with the others to Borga.

Mission Name: Fast and Furious
Location: Tapasi, L-9
Details: The Cartel is in need of some luxury speeders. TaggeCo. produces a particular model, the SCS-19 Sentinel that Borga finds especially nice. A company Mobquet Medium Transport is transporting eight of the vehicles to Anaxes for distribution. Intercept the freighter and retrieve the speeders.
Objective: Retrieve the SCS-19s and deliver them to Borga.
Payment: 5,000c for each recovered speeder.
Participants: 2-3 Cartel Members
Additional Notes: You may use the Mobquet freighter itself to deliver the speeders, but must eliminate the entire crew and destroy the freighter if you do this. Alternatively, you can simply load the speeders into your own ship and make off with the goods.

Mission Name: Supply and Demand
Location: Corellia, M-11
Details: The people of Kor Vella are bored. They want some adventure. Go give them some. Deliver a cargo hold worth of lesai to the city. Recently, CorSec has expanded the number of patrols, both on and around the planet. Get the lesai through space and ground security checks and deliver to the Cartel dealer planetside.
Objective: Deliver the lesai cargo to the Cartel spice dealer on Corellia.
Payment: 10,000c.
Participants: 1-2 Cartel Members
Additional Notes:

Mission Name: Space, It’s a Dangerous Place
Location: Lormar-class Refinery Station, T15
Details: A Kuat Drive Yards Lormar-class Refinery Station in orbit near Pzob has had significant success in their mineral refining operations. Unfortunately, they believe that they do not owe the Cartel any percentage of their profits, as the ore is mined elsewhere. But the edge of Hutt space is a dangerous place, and raider attacks can be frequent. Show the space station how dangerous operating independently can be.
Objective: Attack the refinery. Damage or destroy its hyperdrive, but do not damage the station to the point it can no longer refine.
Payment: 25,000c.
Participants: 3-4 Cartel Members
Additional Notes: The station has a squadron of A-9 Vigilance interceptors for defense. A quick enough attack should catch them by surprise so that it may be possible to not engage them. Eliminating all 12 of the interceptors, while difficult, will result in an additional 10,000c for each participant.

Mission Name: Get me Outta Here
Location: Saleucami, S-8
Details: Reelo Tanatt, a Cartel agent sent to explore possible assets once belonging to Jabba Desilijic Tiure and later captured by Tyber Zann has unfortunately killed an agent of the Imperium and needs to be retrieved as quietly as possible. The Imperium has essentially locked the planet down in their manhunt. Get Tanatt, and bring him back dead or alive to Borga without alerting Imperium agents.
Objective: Retrieve Tanatt, or his body, and return him to Borga.
Payment: 20,000c for Tanatt alive, 15,000c for his body.
Participants: 1-2 Cartel Members, NPC for Tanatt, Sith NPC/PC
Additional Notes: Tanatt’s body is the essential cargo, although he likely possesses knowledge that Borga the Hutt wishes to “obtain” from him if possible. He may not be entirely cooperative.

Thoughts?

I really do enjoy them, and would be a shame not to use them if the forum was a bit more active...but in all honesty, they don't really "get" us anywhere. If that makes sense. They're good ways to kill time, but what do they bring overall to the faction as a whole? Or the board's overall story, at that? The majority of these seem like "filler" type stuff to do in-between when characters have nothing to do.

I say this mainly because missions are important to an individual's character's progression in the faction, but do these missions actually do anything for the faction itself? Beneficial enough for us to warrant them as a mission that would eventually get them promoted. With the exception of the mining one, none of these really could help boost the Cartel's story, etc. I think if we could maybe twist some of these just a little, we could find something t do that'll help us progress the faction story a little better. Meaning, we could still use these, by altering the theme of them just a bit towards something we'd like to see accomplished as a faction. Mission Packs, story arcs, etc.

Just voicing my frustration that as a whole, this site's story is really stagnant/boring, and these really won't help much in progressing anything.
